Autumn heard what she thought was the door shutting and reopening, but she wasn't sure. She quickly cleared the tears from her face as a boy stepped up. His words tricked her into thinking it was someone new. Someone who didn't know her. When Autumn's eyes fell onto the boy she knew as the one who held a imaginary knife to her throat, a scowl quickly took place on her features. Her mother how ever looked very confused. Carol was a very polite woman and so a smile took her face when the boy smiled at her. She could hardly believe it. There was boy who knew her daughter. According to Autumn, the young girl had no friends and refused to have any. To think that the girl had been hiding this boy. Perhaps Autumn had a crush on him? Oh if only Ms. Thompson knew. The boy would pretend to be sad that Autumn was scowling at him and gathered his things before turning away. Ms. Thompson looked at Autumn and lightly tapped her daughter's cheek as if to reprimand the young female.
"It is a shame my daughter has said nothing about you. Surely, since you are her friend I am sure you wouldn't mind joining us for dinner!" "Mother!" "Autumn, I am very ashamed that you didn't do this sooner little miss. You should be politer to your friends. I am surprised with your attitude that you have a friend at all. My goodness Autumn you can be so cold. Look you hurt his feelings by giving him such an angry glare."
Autumn was dumbstruck. Her mother actually fell for this act? Well fine. She would pull her own act then. One that would push the boy to his limits and he would HAVE to decline her mother's offer. Autumn bit back her rage and turned her eyes to the boy. They seemed to soften upon looking at him. Though she was sure the boy could tell it was an act.
"I truly am sorry. You know how I hate to be seen in this state. Please join us for dinner my love. I am sure my mother would like to get to know you better."
That is right. She said it. She went there. Carol's face went pale and she looked from Autumn to the boy. Had Autumn just called this boy her love? What was this? Surely Autumn hadn't gotten a boyfriend. The young girl had a monster on her back when it came to men. She detested them and wanted them to feel pain for what they had done to her. There was no possible way that this boy could ever be Autumn's boyfriend. Autumn felt strength in triumph. She was certain that the boy would be scared off and decline. Perhaps he'd avoid Autumn and once the young female was fully healed she could attack him again and perhaps win her fight. Carol sat, her mind puzzled by the words of her daughter. As much as she loved her child, she had never once remembered Autumn using such language around a boy. It kind of scared her. However she thought that perhaps that was Autumn's idea in the first place. To scare her out of inviting this boy to dinner. This only peaked the mother's curiosity.
"Oh please do. It can be tonight if you don't have any plans. I know it is rather late notice, but Autumn might do better with some cheering up at dinner tonight."
Said a very polite and cheery looking Ms. Thompson. Beside her, with fake pleading and happy eyes staring at him sat Autumn. Behind that mask of a sweet wounded young lady was a strong, dragon like female waiting to rip this young boy to pieces.

Adrian was a... different kind of boy than most. He had very strong views on morals, strength and correct behaviour, and these things were driven onward by a very dark hunger for... the inconveniencing of others. He loved hurting other people, killing only added to his sense of joy, but he had found lately that he needed something... more. And so he had turned to pranks to relieve the inner darkness, and as of yet, it took very little to satisfy this craving. He would have been happy to leave the Autumn girl there, with an annoyed or perhaps even angered mother, he had taken what he wanted. But now she decided to up the ante, which showed Adrian two things about her, that she knew was unaware of the stakes she were pushing, and that she wasn't afraid to pick up a challenge.
Adrian was standing with his back turned on the two, grinning though his hunched shoulders showed of a sadness that wasn't there. He was stunned for second at her words, he had not expected them, but in his heart a toothy grin widened. He turned around slowly, making use of his genuine surprise to accentuate the mask of his face, the sad shapes from before replaced by shy and careful smile, afraid of pain. He turned around just as Carol made her offer of dinner that very evening, letting his eyes flicker with false uncertainty between the two. "I'd... I'd like that. Thank you." He folded his hands together and made a gesture that closely resembled a bow, his eyes on the floor for second, showing complete submission.
When he looked up he once again let his eyes flicker, with a mild shine of a question in them. He let them rest in Autumn's for a few seconds before he let his head drop in false sadness. "Oh, uhm, o-ok." He carefully offered his hand to Carol and greeted her hand with barely any strength. "I-I'm Adrian, a p-pleasure." Giving up his name was a calculated risk, but the act needed to be flawless or he might loose Carol's trust prematurely, trust that could be used against Autumn later. Besides, after their little scuffle in the hall, it wouldn't take much on her part to find his name. He let his smile widen a bit, acting a slight grow in confidence at Carol's friendly manner. "I-I truly am happy to finally meet you."

Autumn honestly believed she had him. He was trapped now. Hoo boy did she have the kid by the seat of the pants. Well, at least she thought she had. He turned and seemed to have a shy smile, perhaps a little scared. It was all fake of course. She knew that for a fact. Carol, however thought is was true. As the boy accepted the offer, Autumn's eyes nearly bugged out of her skull. She stared at him. It wasn't happening. The boy was not calling her bluff, no freaking way! He bowed. Oh god how Autumn's mind was flailing everywhere. It had her scared, honest to god scared. The young female sat dumb struck. Her jaw slightly open as she stared at him. He looked back up waiting for something. His look almost questioning and then he introduced him self. Carol shook the boy's hand then gave her daughter a pointed look.
"Autumn, what happened to your manners? You couldn't introduce him? Why are you just sitting there with your mouth open? Trying to catch flies like that?"
Autumn looked at her mother and slowly shut her mouth as if she wasn't exactly sure what to do. The boy's smile widened. At least Autumn knew his name now. His first name anyway. She stared at the boy and her mother in awe. Adrian said he was finally glad to meet her mother. Autumn just stared a moment before her mother started up again.
"Autumn, are you listening? Autumn! I swear you have cotton in your ears girl. You couldn't introduce him your self?"
Autumn shook her head as she thought quickly of a reply.
"I was just... I think I'm still feeling a little sore Mom."
Her attention turned to Adrian.
"Adrian, love... I just remembered don't you have to visit your parents tonight?"
At this Carol looked a little sad. She was looking forward to being able to meet this boy who her daughter was possibly dating. She didn't want a repeat of the last time but this boy didn't seem all that strong. She doubted he could over power Autumn who had spent every waking moment since she was young, teaching her self how to fight and becoming stronger.
"Oh, isn't that too bad. Here I was going to lay out your nice clothes." "What?"
Autumn looked at Carol in surprise.
"Well we can't honestly have him come over and have you looking like that now can we? I was going to set out that nice pretty red dress. It will be nice for you to wear a dress around this boy. He needs to see more of the feminine girl that you are and not the angry little woman you portray your self to be."
Carol said as she reached over and gently lifted Autumn's chin and wiped a dirt mark off her cheek with her thumb.
"Looking at you, you would never know you were a girl. My goodness. Well.... I suppose if he can't come I will set the dress out when he can."
Autumn's face looked horror stricken. She hated dresses. the only reason she had on was because Carol wanted to wear it to certain occasions and such things. Autumn was dumbstruck once again. What could she say?

"I, uhm..." Adrian loved playing the shy kid, it came to him naturally and it was a blast to see the reactions of some people to his apparent, and quite false, discomfort. Right now, he was having the most fun since he'd come to the damned school in the first place. "Autumn, deary, that was last weekend." He turned to Carol and took the edge of the shyness and added a touch of... happiness, yes, that would compliment the act nicely. "I don't have any plans for tonight, and I'd simply love to stop by and get to know Autumn's family." The sentence ended at a Y-cross, he could either continue to compliment Carol, and thus win a few more specks of trust, or he could turn further attempt to make Autumn look bad for simple laughs. In the end, he decided to let the laughs wait a little. Besides, he had already said he had heard a lot.
"I can't wait to have dinner with Autumn's family, she talks about you and all you've done all the time." It was a calculated risk, he wanted to lift the mood a little, to draw positive attention to himself by making Autumn look good. He couldn't bring up the twins for fear of being asked their names, he'd have to get on that when he got out of there. Besides, Carol was a woman who took action, who didn't sit by idly and so complimenting her actions seemed a good thing to do. Besides, if he was drawn into unknown territory, which there was a lot of, his 'shy and intimidated' act seemed to have stricken gold with Carol, and he relied that it would be able to save him again. "You've managed to carve a fine woman out of her, despite all the effort she puts into hiding it." A smiled widely, showing more confidence that before, and he added a touch or two of bliss into the façade in an effort to make headway on two fronts. Keeping Autumn flustered was important, if she was angry she couldn't think clearly and therefore not focus on destabilizing him. Also, he hoped Carol would accept it as a compliment, even if it was obviously a direct offering of glamour from him to her. Hopefully she'd only see a love-sick and bedazzled young man there, on the other side of the words. She might also see a predator, seeking to blind them both before stealing away what he wanted.

Autumn's eye brow twitched in annoyance. He wasn't going to take the out? Did he honestly think he could win? Autumn would shift in her bed with a soft growl which she masked as a pained one instead of an angry one. Her mother who had smiled warmly at Adrian at the thought of him joining them tonight for dinner now turned to her with a worried look and helped to try and situate Autumn so Autumn wasn't in pain. Little was Carol aware of the fact that the only pain Autumn was feeling right now was a headache caused by the thought of Adrian being in her home, eating dinner with her family. It enraged the female so much but with her mother there she couldn't act on this rage. It was maddening and making the rage build up. Autumn turned her hateful eyes to the boy as Carol turned her attention back to Adrian.
"Oh she has? I wouldn't have figured Autumn to be much of a talker. It is so hard to even get her school day out of her."
Carol said softly. Although the woman seemed a bit dense she was smart. She had a small feeling that something was off but she shoved that feeling to aside blaming it on her protectiveness of Autumn. The young bandaged up female snarled softly for a moment then moved a hand up to push some of her hair behind her ear. Her hand was shaking with rage and once she noticed she quickly hid it under her backside.
"I'm sure Demon will be thrilled to have a new playmate in the house."
Autumn snarled out softly masking her anger once again behind pain. Carol just continued to beam happily. Her daughter seemed to have picked a very nice young man this time. He complimented Autumn so much along with Carol it was hard for the woman to not find him charming. Autumn, however, knew better. Demon had been an obvious threat. Surely the boy would remember her large pet from his first visit. Carol would turn to Autumn now with a happy look on her face.
"Well, since it is settled and Adrian will have dinner with us tonight, what are we going to do with you missy? I say we take you home for some much needed rest."
Carol stood up and gathered what ever items that were Autumn's. As she did she glanced over to Adrian.
"Adrian dear, do you know the way to our home? I can leave instructions for you if you would like." "N-no, Mom... I... "
Autumn sighed trying to let out frustration.
"I told him a while back. I had been thinking about inviting him but didn't want to impose on you." "Oh sunflower oil! It wouldn't have been an imposition what so ever. Now, Adrian... dinner in our home is at 6:30. "
Carol would help Autumn stand up, she then went over to sign Autumn out of the nurses log book and excuse her from school for the rest of the day. While Autumn was standing a hateful glare was fixed on Adrian. Carol scooped up what ever was Autumn's and headed for the door. She called to Autumn in a melodic voice to follow her, but Autumn was going to put one more card on the table. The thought of this particular card made her stomach churn and the bile build in her throat but she would do it regardless. She moved swiftly for someone who was so bandaged up and wrapped her arms around Adrian. Her lips meeting with his cheek before she softly whispered into his ear.
"Get any ideas for tonight, and I'll murder you. I swear to god. You touch any of them, I'll snap you like a twig."
Carol had stopped to turn around to see what was keeping Autumn. When she saw this display of affection, or what she assumed was affection, she smiled a little more. It was good to see Autumn acting like a normal teenager. Even though Autumn had only whispered, her words were coated in pitch black hatred sprinkled with red hot sparks of disgust. She fully intended to keep her threat. She let go, kissed his cheek once again and smiled a slightly shy smile before moving off to follow her mother. Carol took Autumn's hand and lead her wounded daughter off to the locker and then hopefully off the campus to home with out any issues.

"6:30 sounds great." Adrian replied, maintaining his façade. He would have to spend a little while extra on his homework tomorrow to make up for lost time today, but it would be worth it. He needed to show this Autumn girl that he was capable and willing to hurt those she loved, and he needed to tighten that threat around her neck like a noose. It was important that she knew that, if his bounds were overstepped again, blood would be spilled, and it would be on her hands. He needed to get home, he had work to do, looking these two up on Google was a first, then maybe that Biology report.
Adrian had not expected Autumn to make a move like she did, feigning affection, hugging him, even though it felt like his spine was about to give, and, to her credit, she had what it took to kiss him on the cheek. Her words, of course, were venom, and her eyes were two sparkling pits of hatred. All Adrian did as she spoke was smile, but no longer the shy, love-sick act from before; his face was a cold show of the beast inside. After she had finished speaking she kissed his cheek again, but as she was about to leave he put his arms around her and gave her a hug of his own. Then he pulled back and looked her straight in the eyes.
"You did this." He whispered, his grin looking almost morbid, and the mad gleam in his eyes intensifying. "I would have been happy to have left you and your family be, but now you have crossed the line, and you need to be punished. If anything happens to them, if they get hurt or wind up worse, just remember that it was because you had to go poke the sleeping lion." Then he kissed the tip of her nose and let his voice resume normal strength. "I'll see you tonight, love. I can't wait to finally meet your family." It wasn't a whisper, but his eyes let her know the message was for her. "Get some rest now. You'll need it." Then he let go and turned to gather his possessions, ensuring that his back was within Autumn's distance for as long as possible. He took delight in the thought of her frustration, but more so he took delight in the thought of what would come tonight. It would be fun, fun like nothing he'd ever had before.
