It was after the Fight-CLub had finished, and Adrian was feeling good and sore. It was nice, really, to feel his body pushed to the limit, to feel it begging for calm and knowing that he could still go on. His mind and body had always had a rather master-servant like relationship, and it had a good few advanatages. His back was aching, but still he could stand tall and proud. Today had been a really good day.
He was still only dressed in the gear he had been for the Fight-Club, T-shirt, shorts 'n shoes, and he was heading for his locker. Most people would probably want to shower before they went home, but Adrian hated being both undressed and distracted at any place that wasn't his home. There was no such thing as safe, but his apartment, a shit-hole illegally rented out by a non-registered land-lord whom Adrian had none-the-less managed to come to an understanding with, was the safest place he knew.
Checking first to either side that nobody was nearby, he quickly unlocked his locker and pulled out the bag with his clothes. He wanted to go home as quickly as possible, he needed to get his homework done and get some sleep before tonight. He hadn't been able to locate a vermin's nest in the last week, and so planned to get some hunting done. It was then, lost in the thought of the violence of the night, his heart still saturated in the rush only twenty-odd minutes into the past, that he heard a sound behind him. Cursing himself for loosing his focus, he reached out for the can of mace he kept in th locker. At least though, he had been clever enough to keep a none too conspicious defensive measure there. That was one thing done right.

Autumn had gone to the fight club. She remembers seeing a face she knew there. One that set her anger a flare. In the club she had hopes that she would be paired to fight with him, but alas that wasn't her fate. Perhaps it was better that way, less witnesses should she kill him. Since the night she met him, the incident has forever been playing in her head on repeat. It was driving her nuts. It made her irritable with her own children, her mother and her dog. They all cared for her so much and none of them could understand. None of them knew the horrible acts she had committed that fateful night and on her life they would never know. Seeing him brought all these thoughts and more into her mind and seething with anger she watched him leave. It was most likely her anger is what kept her alive in her fight. The person she had been paired with dislocated an elbow of hers, and a few toes were broken or jammed, also a finger or two. She had several bruises and was bleeding from a cut over her eyebrow and from her mouth. Her nose looked a bit broken as well.
How she stood the pain would be obvious to anyone who knew her past. Her body was numb to it. She popped her elbows pack into place, reset her nose and the few fingers she could. Her jaw hurt from the amount of kicks and punches she had taken to the face. Though, in honestly... her whole body had a numb pain to it. It was annoying. She hated the memories this feeling brought up in her. Putting all this aside though, Autumn slowly meandered out into the hall. Her cold angry black eyes locked on her target. She would confront him. That was all wasn't it? No, a part of her wished to remove him. He was a flaw in her now perfect and spotless life. To preserve that life, Autumn would go above and beyond what she should. She noticed this boy was not too far from her own locker.
Well, this did prove a good situation for the young girl. She walked past him silently. To her own locker she went and placed her things inside. She was still dressed in what she had worn to the fight club, except her clothes were a bit damp here and there from perspiration. She calmed her breathing and shut her locker with silence. People busied about and didn't notice her or the one she was following. With an eerie calm, the young Gothic female approached her target. She stood behind him. Did he notice she was there? She wasn't sure. Was he reaching for something? Well... it was his locker, perhaps he was gathering his materials for his next class. Autumn was certain she was unnoticed. She reared back her left leg which burned with the pain of moving. With as much force as she could muster, Autumn sent her left heel aiming for the side of the boy's face.
"Bastard!"
She screamed out. If he had no idea who stood behind him, he knew now. Certainly he couldn't forget the voice of his accomplice. She would remove this blemish and what he was to her, with out any more delay. He knew her name and Autumn lived in fear most of her life, she had no intentions of returning to living in fear. A bit of fatigue lingered from her previous battle and so her foot would miss and slam into the locker beside her victim's face. The metal of the locker sunk in under her force and dented fairly deep. The black goth boots had a thickness to them that would be fairly painful should the boy actually have met with one to the face. A growl of frustration left her as she withdrew her left leg and sent out her right going for the base of his spine. Would it connect? Would the fatigue of her earlier fight pose an issue? Would she let her anger take hold of her? All this was uncertain, but Autumn was certain of one thing and one thing only. This boy... he would not survive their encounter this time.

As he reached for his defensive measures he sensed movement, though the full extent of it didn't occur to him before he heard the angry scream and something smashed into the locker next to him, bending the steel deep. "Holy shite." He muttered, his eyes opened wide in surprise, his jaw slightly ajar. He only regained his senses and rolled out of the way, to the other side as the second attack smashed the shelf of his locker up against the back. He rolled back on his feet, palms at head-height and facing his attacker. He sneered in disbelief, though by no means disdain, as he recognized his attacker. "You?" Then he laughed, a deep, cold laughter roaring through his insides.
"You?" He repeated, his face split in a malicious grin. She was only one who had seen this mask of his whilst he had shed blood. He had thought a threat or two would keep her quiet and harmless, but clearly he had been wrong. "Now you've done it." His hands lowered as he began to pace back and forth before her, sizing her up like a hungry cat eyed a rat with a piece of beef in its teeth. "Autumn Thompson." He knew her name, he knew her adress and he was fairly sure that at least one more person lived with her, given the other name on the front-door, plusher dog. They were within his reach, he knew where they were and he could hurt them. And now he had been given a reason. "I doubt your dear, dear Carol will be delighted when I explain this to her." He grinned, preparing himself for the retalition he was sure would follow his none-too-subtle threat, raising his open hands to head-height, just beside his face. Others where stopping and looking at them, but they didn't understand what was going on. If they weren't stopped, one person would die. If they were, and the wind blew Adrian's way, a few more might.

The boy dodged her second attack and stared at her. Autumn's face showed her full on anger and the sound of his voice only fueled it further. It was that voice that threatened her that night. A growl of anger rumbled in her throat.
"Now you've done it."
Autumn snarled at him. Her fists clenched at her sides as she watched him pace in front of her. He may have been looking her over, but Autumn had her cold black eyes directed at his own cold eyes. It was taking all her control to keep her from attacking. Her mind roared out wanting to kill him here and now. He threatened her good life. The family she had... it would all be gone. You did this! You did it! If you hadn't threatened me, No! If you hadn't helped me that night, this wouldn't have to happen. Her mind was screaming. When he said her name, her eyes lit up with angry fire once more. The fire burned hotter at the mention of Carol, her adopted mother. The woman who took Autumn away from the terror known as her father. The woman had saved this young girl and it was only because of Carol that Autumn stood here alive today. A loud frustrated scream left her and she rushed him.
The sound of her boots slamming the ground below echoed in the hall. Autumn stopped short a foot from the boy and dropped to her knees. A sweep kick went for the back of his legs. The palms of her hands on the ground held her bum just inches from the floor. Her other leg shot up aiming for his stomach. All she needed was him on his back and he was dead. He would be gone the moment Autumn had him pinned. The fact that their fight was now gathering students didn't even register for her. It was like she was in a train tunnel and the only thing she could see in front of her wasn't light, oh no, it was this boy. He was smug and threatened her as if she were weak.
"Fuck you!"
She screamed. The thought that anyone looked at her as being weak pushed her rage to grow and burn through her even if it killed her. She had full intentions of killing this boy here and now. She wouldn't blink, she wouldn't feel remorse. It would be done. She was sure of it.

It was simple, really. Goad her into a killing frenzy, wait for her to over-extend herself in an attack, counter it and you'd have won. She charged at him with a cry of fury, opting to attack him in a fashon that, ironically, gave him just enough time to avoid simply by jumping a few steps back. Jumping over such an attack, while possible, was a risk best not taken. As soon as the kick had passed in front of him, and he expected this Autumn to be trying to get back on her feet at this point, he would step forward and kick for her jaw.
Adrian hadn't really expected any of this to happen, but he hadn't exactly suspected that the only witness who could link his face to the scene of a little entertainment would be a student at his high-school. He should have been more thorough. In either case, she had proven herself a problem, leaving only one solution to his current predicament: Her imminent and complete removal. Right now, he needed to soften her up so he could kill her later witouth much trouble. Killing her here would mean far too many witnesses and questions asked.

Autumn's rage made several of the other students find humor in the fight. They snickered to each other as she fumed about her attacks missing. This boy was quick, but Autumn wouldn't let that distract her from the task she had already taken into her heart. More blood to shed in order to protect her current life. It would be tough... Autumn and her mother might have to go on the run, but once this boy was gone... that would be the only problem. She did try to return to her feet only to narrowly dodge the kick he sent to her jaw. It ended up with her bending back wards as if trying to recreate a move from a movie. Though instead of pausing in mid air, Autumn went back fully. Her limber form finding this to be easier then she would have expected. Her hands gracefully touching down on the ground below as she assumed the boy was close enough for another attack. Her feet drew up one by one as if almost to complete her back flip like position.
One after the other the thick front of her goth boots drew up wards into the air in the hopes of colliding with the boy in any way. Should this attack fail, at least our young girl would be able to put some distance between her enemy and her self. Her feet would soon touch down on the ground and she would stand glaring at the boy with her chest heaving in anger before another charge would be initiated. Instead of dropping to the floor as she had in the previous attack, Autumn would send her self spinning haphazardly towards the boy, one leg drawing up and lashing out towards his hips. With her body in the beaten up state it was a feat to even be able to move this well. Perhaps she was already pushing her limits with out knowing. Lets hope Autumn doesn't notice. There is a chance she might fail if she does, like the bug bite that starts to itch the moment you look at it.

Adrian felt something greet his chin, causing him to stumble backwards and fall on his arse. He was quickly back on his feet, but he felt light-headed, sugar-deprived, his blood was thin and strength-less. He needed to end this quick, hospitalize the bitch if he could get away with it. Later, well... Poor little Autumn, so unfortunate that the attending nurse had been so careless. The thought alone made him smile.
Her next attack, if you could call it that, almost pushed that smile to full-blown laughter. What was she thinking? She had spirit, granted, but her taste for the cinematic needed a... bitter flavor. Taking a move from her book he moved towards her, only to drop and perform a low, sweeping kick aimed at the one leg she still had on the ground. Assumning that she fell, Adrian would then fall upon her, his fists making soft and bruised the flesh on her face. Sufficient trauma here should do the trick, she'd be in the hospital and out cold, making the the rest a doodle. Assuming, of course, that it was that easy.

In her haphazard spin, Autumn had lost her self and possibly the fight. She had thought there was no shot of him being able to stop her but she was wrong. She felt his leg slip behind her one foot and out from under her it was pulled. She fell to the ground with a thud, her back hitting roughly and knocking the wind out of her. Autumn winced and before she could react the boy was on top of her. His fist coming down aiming for her head. With out thinking, Autumn slipped her head off to the side. The first punch would miss and Autumn would inhale trying to fill her lungs again. With the boy's body pressing down on her it wasn't nearly as easy as it should have been to get her breath back. Autumn wasn't one to usually need inspiration to do anything, but at the current moment she needed a little extra boost for her brain to fully understand why she was now pinned under this boy, half way out of breath, beat to hell and back and still struggling.
Normally should she need an extra boost she'd draw on the image of her twin daughters giggling as she came through the door, but when she thought about them she became more cautious. Autumn was tired of being cautious. If she was going to win, caution needed to be thrown aside and cast into the flames of her own instinct. She found this too easy. In her mind it shouldn't have been, but the moment she thought of it, it was done. With a deep breath Autumn would roll her body with as much strength as she could. A wince and grunt escaping her lips as she felt the pain of the bruises that were forming from her previous fight. She would pin him down. Her breathing would be ragged and she started to feel a little wobbly. NO! NO NOT NOW! She screamed in her head. She might be able to win and her body wants to give up and rest. She let out a frustrated growl to wake her self up and locked her knees down around the boy's waist holding him down as firmly as she could and she started to throw her own punches.
Her fists were so clenched so tight that the whites of her knuckles were seen and she was cutting into the palm of her hand with her nails that weren't even very long. When her fists tried to crash down on the boy's face she missed. She was getting tired but she was still pushing force into her first. It was just getting hard to concentrate. Her aim was off but the boy would hear the thudding sounds of her fists slamming into the floor under him. Autumn knew she needed to get it together but it was becoming harder to do.

Adrian barely had time to make use of his advantage, apart fro ma bruised knuckle, before he felt the girl shift and roll them both around, changing the table. Adrian was stunned for longer than he should have been by this, but seeing that first fist miss his face by a hair's breath cleared his head. His hands were free, and though he wasn't able to put much force behind his punches in his current situation, he knew where he should put it. He felt a tightly closed fist slam into his face, bruising the area around his right eye, and growled. Drawing back his hand as far as he could, he landed his fist right in her chest, the easiest accessible and most vulnerable area he could reach. Hoping the punch would distract her he would then curve his legs and push against the ground as hard as he could, hoping to lift her off the ground and cause her to slide down his body and closer to his face.
Assuming all of the above worked, his hands would meet her lower thighs and lift her the short distance needed to get him over his face and off of him. Quickly rolling to a side and back on his feet, he regarded her with a new found wariness. He needed to be careful, if he wanted to keep breathing, let alone continue to walk.

Autumn was glad that ONE of her hits landed. It filled her with a renewed sense of pride. She COULD do this. She wasn't feeling tired at all. Lie upon lie lined up in her mind as if she had her own cheer squad in her mind. Suddenly she felt his punch connect with her chest. She hissed in pain and locked her knees tighter around his waist while one hand moved up to covered the sensitive area. Sadly, Autumn was still breast feeding her children so her chest was extra sensitive. She bit into her cheek and tasted the metallic flavor of her own blood. She would gasp as she started to slide down, she bit into her cheek harder and as she reached the boy's face, his hands on her lower thighs she tried to lock her legs there. A couple guys whistled at the position the boy was now in but Autumn was trying to keep from being removed from her position as the dominant fighter.
She held the position for as long as she could before she was pushed off the boy. He rolled out of the way and got to his feet. Autumn would land with her hands keeping her from touching the ground. She would quickly roll, not allowing her back to be towards the boy for too long. She hurried to her feet and took her kick boxing stance. One foot out in front of the other, bouncing on the balls of her feet and her fists up guarding her midsection and face area. Her chest hurt and she felt the need and want to hold it until the pain went away but she wouldn't. It would be a sign of weakness and Autumn knew she could have taken that punch if she hadn't been breast feeding. Her eyes were still cold and angry as she stared at him. Her body was shaking lightly, it was ready for this fight to end.
A song started in her head like an extra boost trying to get her to finish this. If any one had ever heard Conflict by Disturbed... then you know what was going on inside her head right now. It was a cliche song to have playing inside her head during the fight, but the beat is what she really wanted. That alone could push her body to move. With out much more thought, she dropped the boxing stance and took a few steady steps towards him. She hadn't fully closed the gap and she wasn't looking him over with apprehension. She wasn't even thinking. She was going to let her body do as it wanted, one last attack. She launched her self forward into a front flip. Her hand reached the ground but her legs started to come down. They aimed for the boy's shoulders. Should they land she'd then with an expert grace, move her hands to grasp at the boy's ankles.
If all this was done properly and he hadn't thrown her down or moved away, she would begin to push her heels into his shoulders and try to pull his legs out from under him. Hopefully he would fall. It would be her last attack for this fight because her body was past its limits. It even trembled during this attack. If the attack worked and the boy fell, Autumn would end up falling as well, though head first instead of bottom first like the boy would fall.

Adrian had been too slow, too sluggish. He sensed movement in front of him, felt pain on his shoulders, and before he was sure where the pain came from he found himself on his behind and in greater pain than before. He fought himself back on his feet, breathing heavily and trembling just as bad. But he was still pissed off, and now the little bitch was at his mercy. He was beyond logical thinking, planning and all that, he wanted her dead, each further breath she took was an insufferable itch on the small of his back.
He kicked her in the side, hard, snarling something intelligible. He pulled back his foot again, this time aiming for her temple, but felt something close around it like a vice. There was movement, he believed it was himself moving, pain as something slammed into his back, and then there was darkness.
The spectators had fled at the appearance of the teacher, and now no one remained but the two barely living students and a Mr. Day, an art's teacher with great gifts for its martial aspects. Adrian was out cold, and woke up soon after in at school infirmary.

Her attack had succeeded but that was all she had. She was out. She lay helplessly on the floor as the boy freed himself. Her attack had hurt and it had set him on high angry mode. With out a way to protect her unconscious self. She didn't feel the kick to her side but a rib did break. What ever happened when she was out... Autumn was unaware of. She would come to, in the school infirmary. Her body was in immense pain and drawing breath hurt. Her body trembled weakly and she groaned as she tried to get her barrings as to where she was. She was bandaged up and felt stiff as she tried to sit up. Autumn would let out a hiss of pain as she did. She ran her fingers over the bandages around her ribs and then noticed the ones on her fingers. She had one of those foam neck braces on if only to make sure her head didn't turn too much. The trauma it took when she slammed into the floor during her last attack could have damaged her.
With an annoyed growl, Autumn would rip the foam brace from around her neck and hurl it to the floor with an angry venom. She hissed in pain promptly after doing this and recoiled back into the bed. The nurse noticed that her and Adrian were both awake now.
"Miss Thompson, I'd appreciate it if you'd stop moving. Your body was fairly ripped up. Those twins of yours wont be happy with their mother coming home so hurt."
Autumn's eyes turned their hatred to the nurse. The nurse seemed to not be phased and continued writing her paperwork. Autumn took this time to look into the bed beside her and her entire body stiffened. Right beside her was the boy.
"You!"
Her body tried to move quicker then it could to get out of the bed and she fell. Annoyed the nurse got up and helped her back into the bed.
"Now Miss Thompson! I will not tell you again. Remain in your bed. Your mother will be here soon to get you and take you home."
Autumn struggled with the nurse but was forced back into the bed and smacked in the ribs by the nurse. Autumn would let out a yelp of pain and fall back onto the bed with a groan as she clutched her ribs. Granted it wasn't the best way to get someone to stay in a bed, but the nurses in this school had to be more physical sometimes with their patients. Autumn lay on her bed breathing rather raggedly trying to ignore the pain.

Adrian woke slowly, the back of his head had taken a decent blow from the toss and so his body was reluctant to let him wake as early as he would have wanted. He surveyed his immediate vicinity through nearly closed eyes and felt his blood turn to venom at the sight that met him. Her!. She was being forced into her bed by a nurse, who resorted to violence to keep her there. Though it brought a flicker of joy to see the girl hurt, violent behaviour was not something a nurse should resort to. He'd deal with her later. That was when he realized what had been said.
Her mother? Did she have a mother who would come here now? She'd probably shout at her, be mad to have been pulled away from work or yet another of her boyfriends or whatnot, but this meant Adrian couldn't just suffocate the bitch with a pillow and be done with it. She had a mother who cared enough to be on her way here now, and that meant there was a sliver of a chance that she would actually be proper American, a good woman. He didn't expect that to be the case in the slightest, but he wouldn't jeopardize it and so he decided to wait for her arrival. But not in plain sight.
The bitch was lying in her bed, too distracted by the nurse's 'suggestion' to worry about him. He silently rolled out of bed and called upon the darkness in his mind to hide his presence. He could sense it as soon as it was complete, she didn't have what it took to see through it. He would then sneak to a corner and wait for her mother to arrive, making sure that he was not standing in her way. All there remained now, was patience.

"M-mom? Here? Oh god."
Although Autumn loved her mother, she didn't like the idea of her mother stepping into this school. Especially with the way she treated Autumn. It would take away from the whole strong appearance thing. Autumn glanced over towards the boy's bed but he was no longer there. He must have bolted when she was struggling with the nurse. A few minutes would pass and then the sound of a very singsong female voice could be heard.
"Autumn! Sweety!"
Her mother busted into the back to see the young female laying on the bed all bandaged. A gasp sounded from the mother and she covered her mouth as she rushed to Autumn's side. The woman didn't look like Autumn at all. She was probably only 5'6" and had medium length blond hair and blue eyes. She wore a bright pink shirt with a white pencil skirt and pink heels. She leaned over gently hugging Autumn.
"My little baby! Who did this to you?" "Mom, don't worry about it. I just... Its... nothing." "I asked you several times to stop fighting. " "Mom... you just... don't get it."
Her mother's hand would gently rest under Autumn's chin and lift it up as she looked over the young females face.
"Little one, we know you are strong. You don't need to prove it to the world. Stop putting your self in positions where you get hurt. The twins need you, I need you." "I said you don't get it mom! If I didn't do this... there is a possibility I wouldn't be around for you and the twins. "
It worried Autumn that there was still a chance. After all... the boy was no longer in his bed and was most likely off doing what ever or saying what ever.
"Poppy seeds." "What?" "You heard me. Poppy seeds. I would think that you could tell me about such dangers after all we have been through Autumn." "Mom... it's not like... the other times."
Autumn's mother had an odd way of swearing. Saying Poppy seeds was her way of saying bullshit. To say other words she either shouted out flower names or animal names. It was weird.
"Speaking of those other times... I found them." "Who?" "Jacob and his gang." "Mom! What did you do?" "Nothing yet. "
Autumn and her mother would drop their voices a bit as the mother gently moved Autumn aside to sit on the bed beside her.
"They moved here too...I told you sweety. Momma wouldn't let them get away with hurting you and the twins. Those babies need to know they have a father even if he wont admit to it." "Mom I don't want them knowing Jacob... I don't even know if... he..." "They have his features. Not the rest of the groups. His. THEY are his children and he needs to take responsibility some how."
Autumn looked away from her mother as if she were angry, though there was deep pain in her eyes. Pain that even the contacts she wore couldn't hide.
"I am not letting them get away with having... raped you."
Autumn flinched at the words. Tears brimmed her eyes. Her mother tried to wipe away the tears before they started to fall because she knew Autumn liked to appear tough.
"It happened Autumn but... if it hadn't... you wouldn't be blessed with the twins. They love you so. I know you love them too... this has to be done for them."
Autumn said nothing, but her mother ended up embracing her and holding her gently. She was being careful to not hurt her already wounded child. Autumn silently cried. The only tell was her eyes glittering with pain and tears and the tears that fell down her face into her mother's pink shirt. The nurse wasn't paying any attention and kept her self busy with her paper work.

Adrian stood in corner, silent and attentive. His ears, like most of his senses, were sharp, and at the moment he was shutting out everything but the hushed conversation between mother and child. So, this was Carol Thompson, Autumn's 'mother'. Adrian wasn't a computer whiz, but he knew when two people were related and when they were not. Kidnapping? Doubtful, but he was looking for anything now, because what he was hearing... he really didn't want to. The blood in his veins burned like venom, he wanted to hurt someone bad, but now... now he couldn't hurt this one. He roared with rage, grabbing a chair by the back and sending it flying through the window, sending splintered glass raining down on the surprised students below as Carol grabbed Autumn and held her close, her eyes widening in shock at the madman who appeared out of thin air. His eyes glared at her, piss-yellow and full of hate, teeth grit together and fists clenched into fists that eagerly awaited to break bones and spill blood.
He blinked, and the entire scene reverted. He needed to get out and react on someone, these hallucinations of his were a strong sign that something was about to go horribly wrong. He needed to hurt someone, to rend some flesh and feel warm blood splash unto his cheeks. But first he needed to let off some steam, and the best way to do that was with... a laugh. Slinking to the bathroom and relinquishing his hold over the shadows, he silently locked the door before loudly unlocking it. The nurse wouldn't notice, only Autumn might've noticed that it had been open just a moment before. Stepping back out he put on his best smile and walked over to Autumn's bed. "Hey sweetie." He said, playing the role of the enamoured teenager. "Oh hi! You must be Ca- I mean Mrs. Thompson. Autumn has told me so much about you, I'm so glad to finally meet you!" He let his face light up in a wide, warm smile and he saw, as expected, that he was met with an open, if more-so surprised one. He let the joy on his face dampen, shifting his eyes from Carol's surprised but polite smile to Autumn's expression, which could best be summed up as the bastard child of a scowl and the expression of someone watch the devil come waltzing into their living-room clad in a tutu.
"I, uhm..." He absent-mindedly rubbed the back of his head as he let his eyes fall to the ground, lowering his voice to just above a whisper. "I-I guess I should be going now." He never lifted his head as he hurried to pick up the few possessions that had been brought here. If he wasn't interrupted he would then storm out, biting his lower lip to hold back tears that, well, weren't really on their way, and wait until he was back down by his locker at which point he would collapse into throes of convulsing laughter. He would lay there, rolling on his back and struggling for breath for almost a whole minute, before he got back on his feet and, still snickering, grabbed his gear and headed home. That had done the trick for the moment, now he could concentrate with a greater clarity. First step, finding out who this Jacob was. It'd be a shit-long search, but he was bound to find him eventually. The question was how exactly he would react when he found them.
