"... Mitsu."
"Hmm?" she stopped moving when Kazuya turned around and came towards her, a bit confused as to what he wanted. When he knelt down with his back towards her she got the message and had to bite down a protest. She was not THAT badly injured that he needed t carry her, her legs would eventually wake up again after some time. Then again they were about to head down a flight of stairs if she was not careful she could fall and hurt herself. At least it might not be too hard of the man, he was fairly strong and she was fairly short so she practically weighed nothing.
With a soft sigh Mitsukai rolled up the sleeves of Kazuya's jacket so she could actually get a good hold on his shoulders as she lifted herself onto his back. The jacket fit pretty loosely around her tiny form, the sleeves fell well below her hands making it harder to grip things. It was a bit annoying but she would live.
Once she had crawled onto his back she was carried out of the school to what she had to assume was his apartment. It had been so long since she last seen a place this small. It was not like the apartment was tiny, it was rather moderate and cozy but she had grown accustomed to big homes since she first started living with Katsuri and later on Ryu Hayabusa so this was an interesting change of pace to her.
Carrying her all the way to the bathroom Kazuya set her down on the toliet. Moving away from her to turn on the tap in the sink.
"Hold your wrist under the water for a few minutes, and then I'll treat your burn."
Doing as she was told Mitsukai put her burnt wrist under the tap. Flinching a little at the sudden contact with the running water but the pain quickly began to fade as her wrist began to cool down. It actually made her feel a bit better.

As soon as Kazuya saw Mitsukai do as he instructed, he headed out of the bathroom, and into his own room, passing by the spare bedroom, well it used to be Kyoko's bedroom, until she left, and opened his closet. "..." Most of his clothes wouldn't fit Mitsukai, they were all too big for her, so he went with the next best thing, as he grabbed one of his black tank tops from his dresser. Yeah, it wouldn't fit her, but on her, it would be more like a dress than a tank top. Heading back to the bathroom, he hung the tank top with a pair of you-know-what that belonged to Kyoko that he had found mixed in with his clothes in the laundry after her hasty departure, and a fresh towel on the towel rack. "Go ahead and take a shower after, then give me a call when you're done."
Kazuya would then head out of the bathroom, closing the door shut behind him, taking the first-aid kit with him as he headed to the living room, he was starting to get hungry, not surprisingly, seeing as it was already evening. Depositing the kit on the table, he sat down on the floor, his apartment room was set up like a normal Japanese house, eating table and all. He would wait for Mitsukai to finish and come out, since he wanted to treat and bandage her burn before he cooked up something to eat, so he sprawled out on the floor, his legs underneath the table, as he closed his eyes and rested for a bit.

Kazuya left while she still had her wrist under the running tap. She did not move from the spot she was in even though she had no clue how long she had to keep her hand under that pipe till she could move again. Surely Kazuya would tell her when it would be okay to do so, she'd just have to wait.
It didn't take him too long to return to the bathroom, this time with a change of clothes and a towel.
"Go ahead and take a shower after, then give me a call when you're done."
With that he left her staring off after him. She had to take a shower? Here? It was not like she was being picky or anything but the situation itself might make any other girl a bit concerned too. She was after all in the apartment with a guy she just met, alone and not properly dressed at that.
It was amazing how NOW she was aware of what just happened. It was a good thing that Kazuya was not a pervert. That and most guys would not think of her in that way, or this situation could have been a lot worst. Shaking those thoughts aside she would turn off the tap and look around the bathroom in search of a shower cap for her hair. Unfortunately she could not find one. It was a shame really, with her hair being as long as it was it was a hassle to dry it when it got wet. That was why she normally used a shower cap to keep it dry unless she needed to wash it. Looked like for the moment she would have to do without.
Taking a hold of her full length ebony hair she braided it and tied it up in a tight bun to keep it out of her way in the meantime. Then she removed her burnt clothes and Kazuya's jacket, taking a bit longer to take off the ruined pants thanks to the melted button that forced her to literally pull it down. She put the clothing in a neat pile and took a quick shower.
When she was finished up she wrapped a towel around herself and got ready to change. She couldn't help but stare at the female underwear that he left her. It was strange that he'd have such a thing if he was living by himself. Then again she could have just jumped to conclusions and assumed he lived by himself. Maybe he was sharing this apartment with a friend or maybe even his girlfriend. It would make sense then that he'd have this stuff, she would have to ask about that a bit later. At least the stuff he gave her fit for the most part. The shirt he gave her went below her knees, good enough to cover her since there was no pants for her to wear. Understandable of course, Mitsukai was a fairly small girl, what some in japan or anime obsessed Americans would call a 'loli' even most women's clothing would not fit her. Even Kevala's clothing would be too big on her and it was not like the young woman was tall.
Untying her now wet hair she took the towel and tried to dry it off. After getting about 80% of it dried off did she finally open the bathroom door a crack.
"Kazu...." She called out. "I'm done. Where do you want me to put the clothes?"

"Kazu.... I'm done. Where do you want me to put the clothes?" Kazuya opened his left eye, as he shifted his head a bit in the direction Mitsukai's voice had come from, as he saw the bathroom door was open just a bit. "Just leave them there, I'll take care of it, wait for me here." He called back, as he slowly sat up, and stretched his muscular arms above his head, yawning widely, before climbing to his feet, and headed to the bathroom, leaving a brush for Mitsukai to use on the table. He would then gently open the bathroom door, and take Mitsukai's clothes, and head to the utility room, trying his best to fix the melted button, but there wasn't much he could do, in the end, he had to pull what was left of the button off, before depositing them in the washing machine, letting it wash. He then headed back, and sitting down in front of Mitsukai, would grab the first-aid kit, and opened it, and began to apply burn medicine to her wrist.
It would heal, but much to his utter chagrin, she'd have a hand-shaped burn on her wrist. So much for not pulling a Matrim. He then grabbed the roll of bandages, and began to wrap it around her wrist, his touch and grip surprisingly gentle for someone who had been so ruthless in their spar. Even sitting down, he still towered above her, and considering she was wearing his tank top, which was extremely loose on her, he'd be able to see down... you know... But then again, he was dense to a fault when it came to things like that, and he was concentrating more on properly bandaging her injury, continuing to gently hold her wrist while securely wrapping the bandage around her wrist, than thinking about that.

"Just leave them there, I'll take care of it, wait for me here."
"Okay then..." she said, letting him come in the room and take the article of clothing that was left. While he was away she took the opportunity to brush he had left on the counter for her to quickly brush her hair. The one good thing about having straight hair even when it was as long as her's was was that it was very easy to take care of. It barely got any tangles and was extremely easy to care for, there was no need to trim it.
By the time she was done he had returned, now focusing on the injury on her wrist. Just by looking at it she could tell that she might be left with a permanent scar like the surgical scar she had on her knee from the time Gabriel shoved a branch through it. It shouldn't be too hard to hide though, after she no longer needed the bandages she could always hide it with an armband or something.
As Kazuya went to work on her wound she couldn't help but notice how surprisingly gentle he was. It was just like when Ryu had cared for her when she had been unable to walk.
Ryu.....
She had not seen him for awhile. She had no clue where he was or if he would return. He left no note, he did not say anything to her and now she was stuck in a giant house alone with her pet cat. Lately it had been bugging her that she was by herself. She didn't know why either. She was used to being alone until she first moved here. Now.....the loneliness was killing her....
"So.....where did you get the those undergarments from?" she asked breaking the silence, just so she could think about something else for awhile. She was still a bit curious as to why he had those things in the first place. It didn't hurt to ask right?

"They belonged to the other Kaz-- my older sister, Kyoko." Kazuya answered right away, he had almost slipped up and said the other Kazuya's older sister absentmindedly, but had managed to catch himself in time. "She had stayed here, but left Long Beach a few weeks ago, so now her room is a spare room. I should look into finding a roommate... that, or the room ends up becoming a storage room." He didn't mind she had asked, he wasn't surprised, who wouldn't ask, considering he was a guy and lived by himself. Continuing to gently hold her wrist, Kazuya finished wrapping her injury, and placed the bandages back into the first-aid kit, and stood up.
He then headed to the kitchen after placing the kit away, and grabbed ingredients from the fridge, before beginning to cook something to eat. Nothing fancy really, just some egg fried rice. He didn't live in a huge mansion like David Blaze, or had servants to cook for him, he did it all by himself. Soon the smell of fried rice began to waft through his apartment, as he opened the window above the sink, to let in the cool evening air, and placed the plate of rice down on the table with two bowls and chopsticks, before he began to pan fry some dumplings with the Chinese wok he had used for the rice, his back facing Mitsukai. "If you're hungry, you can go ahead and eat..."

"They belonged to the original Kaz-- my older sister, Kyoko."
The original what now? she wondered but didn't bother to ask. If he had something to hide that was not any of her business, they barely knew each other and it would be understandable if there was a few things he wanted to keep to himself. At least now she knew where the stuff came from. It wasn't a girlfriend but his big sister. That would explain where the undergarments came from.
"She had stayed here, but left Long Beach a few weeks ago, so now her room is a spare room. I should look into finding a roommate... that, or the room ends up becoming a storage room."
So the sister was no longer living with him and just like Mitsukai he was living alone. She could sympathize with that now that she was alone. The only difference here was that he at least knew where his sister was and that she was alright. Mitsukai did not, a part of her wanted to stay and wait for him. But another part of her was unsure. Did he leave because he didn't want to be around her anymore? Did she do something wrong? Maybe it was not a good idea to stay there any longer.
Heh maybe I should ask him if I can stay here instead. She thought jokingly to herself. It was a tempting idea but to actually act on it might not be the best idea. On one hand she rather not stay in such a big place alone, as much as she loved being around Ryu with him gone there was not much of a point in waiting for someone who might never return. This time was different from Katsuri's sudden disappearance, at least back then before Nami came into the picture she was living with Kevala and the twins. This time she had no one. But as much as she wanted to have someone with her she did not know if it would be a good idea to impose herself on someone. At least with Katsuri and Ryu she had a reason. Katsuri wanted to train her and make her stronger, Ryu was helping her recover and saw she had nowhere else to go, what would the reason be this time?
Again Mitsukai had to pull herself away from her thoughts as Kazuya finished bandaging her up. It was really well done, not much of a surprise though after all a 259 student had to at least know basic first aid treatments or else they were doomed. She herself was no medical expert but when you had been so used to caring for yourself good old fashion common sense took care of the job rather well.
Mitsukai took a good luck around the apartment. She did not realize it at first because her mind was preoccupied with other things but now she realized how Japanese styled the place was. It almost made her feel like she was back in her own country. It was odd, even though it was not hard to tell at least by the name alone that Kazuya was Japanese but when in America most foreigners conformed to the American lifestyle. It was nice to see that Kazuya didn't.
The smell of food made her stomach growl suddenly. God she hoped that Kazuya didn't hear that -_-. It was a bit embarrassing but it did smell good and she had not eaten much today she had been running a little late for school and only grabbed something small for lunch before running out the door.
"If you're hungry, you can go ahead and eat..."
. . . . .
Damn maybe he did hear her <.<
"Kay..." she said and went over to sit at the table. A small smile forming on her lips when she picked up the chopsticks. How long ago had it been since she last used these things? She never had the chance to use them once she left Japan. It was funny how much one could miss the little things in life. "Itadakimasu." she said quietly before she started to eat.

To tell the truth, Kazuya didn't actually hear Mitsukai's stomach growl, he just thought maybe she was hungry, since it was evening after all, and didn't want her to wait for him while he finished cooking. Once he had finished cooking the dumplings, he deposited them onto a plate, and placed the plate down on the table, as he lifted the wok off the stove, and placed it in the sink, running some water in it, as steam poured off it. He then headed to the table, and sat down, funny how in the course of two years, Kazuya managed to learn how to use chopsticks, despite having no previous experience whatsoever using them. He had to relearn everything, including talking in English, but he also learned Japanese, and how to walk, everything that the friends he made and knew, knew how to do even before he was created and born. "Itadakimasu." He said quietly, as he picked up his bowl, and started to eat, to quiet down his growling stomach.
"...Mitsu," Kazuya began to ask, as he ate, "Where do you live exactly? I could walk you home after... or you could stay here if you want..." No Kazuya was not a mind reader, he did not know that Mitsukai was living by herself in a big ass mansion with her pet cat, even though he was looking for a roommate. But it was getting pretty late, and she was welcome to stay if she wished. He had room anyways. If she doesn't have a place to go to, maybe I could ask her to be my roommate. He thought jokingly, it was rather tempting, but he rather make sure she was living somewhere, before jumping to conclusions. And what reason could there be for her living with him? Besides the fact neither of them would be alone anymore? Even that sounded stupid in his mind. Having finished eating, Kazuya leaned back on his hands that were resting behind him, as he looked out the window to his far right. It was quite a clear night, he considered doing a bit of star-gazing tonight...

"...Mitsu," "Where do you live exactly? I could walk you home after... or you could stay here if you want..."
The question kind of threw her off a little. It was not like she planned on staying here with him for very long but to be honest she had not thought things through. Just like most of what she did right now was on a whim or on instinct. With Mitsukai a lot of things just happened to her and she went with it. Mitsukai took a quick glance outside to determine whether she should leave or stay. It was already dark out but it was not a bad night. Even then though, it was not a good idea to be walking out the way she was dressed, even with pants and with Kazuya with her it was not very smart. There was also a problem with distance. Though Mitsukai walked everyday to and from school it was a long walk, something she probably shouldn't do tonight given the current situation.
Though her pet cat Ammani would be alone for the night. Thankfully though she had given the feline enough food and water for the night so at the very least she wouldn't starve, she could last one night by herself.
"My home is a good distance from here so it might not be a good idea to leave till morning..." She answered honestly. "At least there is no one home....my old roommate left recently and has not returned, so at least I don't need to call anyone." She couldn't help but feel a bit down saying that. She hated to admit it but she did miss Ryu. She was worried about where he was and what he was doing. And naturally the reason he had left without saying a word. Maybe it was her fault somehow. Maybe there was no point in staying there any longer, for once the silence and solitude was bothering her, the only problem was even if she did have a place to stay other then that big empty mansion should she even bother to leave? Was it the right thing to do?

Kazuya nodded his head slightly, so she did have a place to stay, but her old roommate had left and hadn't come back. Climbing to his feet, Kazuya placed the leftover food into containers before stowing them in the fridge, and picking up the empty bowls and chopsticks, carried them to the sink and started to wash the dishes. "... I think your roommate leaving was no fault of your own..." Kazuya said quietly, as he dried his hands and began to wipe the dishes in the dish rack dry, before putting them away. She too, was living by herself... well, with her pet cat. "Sometimes... people just want to get away... for whatever reason." And suddenly Kazuya became the wise man of the East. Hanging the towel up, Kazuya turned and sat down near Mitsukai. "Stuff happens, that's how life is. But whatever the reason was, I don't think it was caused by you."
Kazuya then stood up once more, and gestured at Mitsukai with his head. "C'mon, I'll show you to your room." He would then head down the hallway, past the bathroom, and stopped in front of two rooms opposite from each other. "That's my room," He said, gesturing at the room to his left, "And that's your room. If you need anything, just gimme a shout." Once Mitsukai went in, Kazuya would head to the utility room, since the washing machine had finished washing. He'd then hang Mitsukai's pants up. He then headed to his own room, and grabbing his telescope inside its case, would head out of his room, and closed his door as quietly as possible, so he wouldn't wake Mitsukai up. He then headed out of his apartment, closing his apartment door louder than he would've liked, and headed up to the rooftop of the apartment. Reaching the rooftop, he set up his telescope, and peered through it. It really was a nice night out...

"... I think your roommate leaving was no fault of your own..." "Sometimes... people just want to get away... for whatever reason."
That was probably true, after all Mitsukai could not remember anything that she did wrong. It was just that he left without saying anything that was bugging her so much. If she at least knew why she wouldn't be bothered as much by it.
"Stuff happens, that's how life is. But whatever the reason was, I don't think it was caused by you."
"Yeah I guess.....but now I just wonder if I should even wait for him anymore." She said, more to herself than to him. If this was going to bug her so much and if he might not come back there was no need to stay in that house any longer. That place was far too big to be staying in alone anyway. Again she felt a little tempted to ask about being his roommate, it was not like she had anywhere else to be with in the mean time and he did say he needed one. But She did not want to impose on him. It felt strange to just ask out of the blue. Of course she also had a pet, what if he didn't like cats or was even allergic to them? It would be difficult to live with someone who couldn't get along with her pet. She refused to leave the kitten by itself for too long.
"C'mon, I'll show you to your room."
Mitsukai followed Kazuya to the two bedrooms down the hallway.
"That's my room," "And that's your room. If you need anything, just gimme a shout."
"Kay...night." She said, opening the door to her temporary room as Kazuya walked off. Laying on the bed with the back of her head resting on her hands she stared up at the ceiling wondering what she should do. Maybe it wouldn't hurt to ask would it? What did she have to lose?It would be worth a shot if she could ask at the right moment. Though of course there was some other stuff to consider. She still didn't know the guy well enough. Then again she didn't know Katsuri that well and she ended up living with him for awhile too -_-. Maybe she hould just ask tomorrow or something. Yeah probably better to try and ask tomorrow....

"Yeah I guess.....but now I just wonder if I should even wait for him anymore." That was a question Kazuya couldn't answer. It wasn't his decision, or anyone else's. That was her decision, and her's alone. He wouldn't mind having her as a roommate, even though the two of them barely knew each other. He then led her to her room, before heading to his own room, and grabbing his telescope, before heading out of his apartment, closing the door much louder than he would've liked. He cringed inwardly at that. So much for not waking up Mitsukai. If that didn't wake her up and make her wonder where he had gone to, he didn't know what would. Once he got up to the rooftop, he started to look up at the night sky through his telescope. He really was tempted to ask her if she would like to be his roommate, but he honestly couldn't think of a possible reason as to why, and the one he did come up with, sounded stupid in his head.
He felt something brush up against his right leg, and pulling away from his telescope, peered down, and saw it was the small stray kitten he had come to feed recently. Kazuya had found the little guy mewing and scratching weakly at his door one evening, and had nursed him back to health, before letting him go. But for whatever reason, the kitten always came to visit Kazuya, even though he was, no matter how you looked at it, a stray. "Hm? What is it Kuro-chan?" Kazuya asked, as he bent down to scratch him behind the ears, he had named the kitten Kuro, because his fur was completely black. Kuro mewed happily at Kazuya's touch, as Kazuya chuckled quietly and sat down cross-legged on the roof, Kuro immediately crawling into and curling up in Kazuya's lap, as Kazuya gently rubbed the kitten's head, while peering up at the night sky, not noticing the footsteps quietly coming up from behind him.

Hearing a door slam near her room broke Mitsukai out of her thoughts in a jolt. Was Kazuya leaving or something? Maybe she should just stay here and go to sleep. He'd come back later right? But on the other hand she was kinda curious about where he was going. That and maybe she should just get this over with and ask the guy if she could stay with him. Slipping out her room quietly she took a quick look around the apartment. Just as she had thought, he was no where to be seen, so where had he gone?
Feline eyes fell upon the closed entrance door, debating if she should actually venture outside to find him. He might not have gone too far so it wouldn't be THAT bad if she left for a bit. Besides it was night time now, most of the other tenets would be asleep, the chances were she would not be seen.
Making up her mind she opened the door and entered the hallway. Her eyes catching the smallest hint of the man's silhouette as he turned a corner. Not wanting to wake up the neighbors Mitsukai simply followed the figure than shouting out to him. Her steps as silent as a stalking cat as she followed his trail. She had always been good at sneaking up on others whether unintentional or not. It was a natural talent of hers that sometimes had it's uses like in this case.
In the end she followed him to the staircase leading up to the rooftop. So that was where he went. He probably went up there to go stargazing, it was a pretty nice night out, clear skies and filled with stars it wouldn't be surprising if that was what he was doing right now. She stopped at the door wondering if she should really bother him right now or just head back, maybe he just wanted some time alone wouldn't it be bad if she interrupted?
Ah forget that, you already came this far you might as well just go for it. she mentally chided herself. What was the point in debating about this now when she was already here? It made no sense. Curse her over reactive head. Letting out a long sigh she opened the door and made the little trek up on the roof.
She found Kazuya sitting there on the ground in front of a telescope petting a tiny black kitten who had curled up in his lap. The sight of that moment brought a smile to her face, it was just like all those times she was either lying in her room or sitting on the couch reading a book when her own kitten would curl up in her lap or on her stomach begging her to pet her. It was really cute.
"He's a little cutie." she said, crouching down to gently pet the little feline. She couldn't help but pet it too. "What is it's name?"

"He's a little cutie." Kazuya slowly turned his head to look behind him, and saw Mitsukai standing behind him before she crouched down and gently petted Kuro, who mewed happily at her and began to playfully paw at her hand. "Its name is Kuro. Kuro, meet Mitsukai, Mitsukai, Kuro." Kuro then fell asleep in Kazuya's lap, as he gently stroked the kitten's back. ["I heard scratching at my door, and opened it to find him starving and mewing weakly. After he had recovered, I let him go, but for some reason, he sometimes comes and visit me, even though he's still a stray."] Kazuya explained, as he moved his other arm and leaned back on both of his arms.
["Did I wake you up? My apologies."] Kazuya said, as he leaned back on his free arm, peering up at the night sky. ["What's wrong? Were you looking for me? Did you miss me that much?"] Kazuya teased, as Kuro snored quietly, shifting every so often in Kazuya's lap. A warm breeze gently blew, causing Kazuya's hair to gently flutter in front of his eyes, which didn't appear as intense and fierce as they normally did in daylight, as well as make his tank top flutter slightly. It was nice, living in Long Beach, and being able to see the stars. In San Francisco, the city lights made it nearly impossible to see them, especially at night. ["But really, what's wrong?"]

((OOC: Purple dialect is Japanese ))
"Its name is Kuro. Kuro, meet Mitsukai, Mitsukai, Kuro."
"Thats a cute name." she smiled as little Kuro started playing with her hand with his paw. There was something about cats that always made her feel good. It was not the fact she kind of resembled one herself but she had always had a love for animals. It was a love that ran far deeper then that of humans. Humans could be cruel and nasty with their own kind, they lied to you constantly, masking their true feelings and only showing 'love' when there was some benefit to them. An animal never felt like they needed to lie. If a cat liked you it liked you, all you had to do was show it some love in return and it would always be there for you.
["I heard scratching at my door, and opened it to find him starving and mewing weakly. After he had recovered, I let him go, but for some reason, he sometimes comes and visit me, even though he's still a stray."]
"It's because he's grateful to you." she answered. "You helped give him strength when he was weak and now all he wants to do is pay you back by showing you his love." she chuckled at the thought. "It's just like my own kitten back at home. I saved her from some kids who were beating her, tended to her wounds and gave her a home. Now all she wants to do is curl up in my lap all day and purr." It was nice having a pet of her own. She had always wanted one but never had the chance to. Her relatives hated animals, especially cats had she been living with them at the time she found Ammani she probably would not have had her.
It suddenly dawned on her after she finished talking that they were now speaking fluently in Japanese. It was amusing in a way, it had been so long since she last spoke her native tongue but the second that Kazuya spoke she fell back into old habits.
["Did I wake you up? My apologies."]
She shook her head. I wasn't really sleepy anyway." she answered honestly, it probably would have taken her awhile to fall asleep anyways so she didn't want him to be too concerned.
["What's wrong? Were you looking for me? Did you miss me that much?"]["But really, what's wrong?"]
That question brought a blush to her face as she realized just how....odd it was for her to have followed him up here like this. Sometimes she really did not think things through, she had acted more on impulse and it was wrong of her to do that.
"N-no......nothings wrong...I didn't mean to disturb you. I-I just wanted to ask you something...." she spoke a bit timidly, now falling silent. Damn, she had came here originally to ask him about the roommate thing but now she felt a bit awkward asking.
