Kazuya laughed quietly at Mitsukai's comment, he hadn't exactly been going for the cuteness factor when he had named the little guy, he had been going more for the practicality factor, his fur was completely black, so Kazuya named the kitten Kuro, which means black in Japanese. Kazuya smiled slightly, she had a pet kitten too. Kazuya loved cats, he would've had one too, except he couldn't afford one, and his schedule wasn't exactly the best either, which made him glad Kuro was a stray. Although Kazuya sometimes fed the little guy when he came to visit, most of the time Kuro found his own food, which meant he didn't rely on Kazuya all the time for food like a normal pet cat would. ["Yeah..."] Kazuya replied, he felt a bit nostalgic, talking in Japanese to Mitsukai like this.
Japanese was his first language, he had learned to speak it before anything else, including English. "I wasn't really sleepy anyway." That was good, at least he didn't wake her up, since she hadn't fallen asleep yet. It was a good thing it was dark and nighttime too, Kazuya couldn't see Mitsukai blush at his teasing, not that he had intended to make her blush. He didn't find it odd that she had followed after him, he hadn't exactly been incognito when he left the apartment to head up to the rooftop. "? What is it?" He asked, as he looked over at her, unaware that he was leaning closely to her, as Kuro shifted in Kazuya's lap and rolled over, Kazuya absentmindedly stroking Kuro's belly with his index finger.

"? What is it?"
Mitsukai became suddenly aware for a second just how close they were to each other and found herself frozen and unable to answer his question. Why? Perhaps it was just a personal space issue, Mitsukai had always been the type that was touchy about her personal space. Sometimes were harder to deal with than others, this was probably one of those times. Though her usual response was to growl and go on the defensive, maybe it was because she was aware that he wasn't doing it intentionally to piss her off that was stopping her from reacting normally.
Yeah....
That had to be it.....
"eto......" she began, trying to forcibly break out of her unusual reaction. "I-I....." she had to shake her head to clear her thoughts. There was a reason she had come all the way out here and by god she was going to say what she came here to say, no matter how awkward it would be she would ask.
"I was thinking...since you were looking for a roommate, and I kind of miss having a roommate.....if you want I could come stay with you." She said finally, a bit shy at first but gaining more confidence as she spoke. "That is of course if you want to."

Kazuya continued to look at Mitsukai in polite puzzlement, unaware that it was partly due to the fact he was rather close to her, he hadn't done it to try and intentionally fluster her. "?" Was his reaction as he heard her stutter, before she shook her head. Even though he just met her, that was weird, seeing her stutter like that. "...Ah..." He replied, so that was what she wanted to ask him. Shifting away from her, he leaned back on his arms once more and looked up at the night sky, Kuro continuing to snooze in his lap, it looked like one more would be staying for the night, since Kuro was already fast asleep, and Kazuya didn't want to wake the little guy up.
"... I would be greatly honored to have you as my roommate..." Kazuya finally said after a brief moment of silence, as he bowed slightly to Mitsukai, much like a gentleman. "Or something like that." He gently picked Kuro up and deposited him in Mitsukai's lap, and dissembled his telescope, placing it back in its case. "C'mon, let's go back, it's getting late." He said, as he slung his telescope over his shoulder, and led the way back to his apartment. Once he reached his apartment door, he opened it, and let Mitsukai go in first, before following in after her, and closed his door, locking it. He then headed to his room, and deposited his telescope case down in his room, leaving his door ajar, if she wanted to come in.

"...Ah..." "... I would be greatly honored to have you as my roommate..."
There....she got her answer. Though she hated the execution to her question in the end she finally got the courage to ask and was rewarded. All she had to do was to figure out how to pack her things and bring them over and then she was all set. Thankfully she did not have too much to take with her, but because of the distance carrying about two suitcases full of stuff and her pet would mean she'd need help. But that could be dealt with a little later.
"Or something like that." "C'mon, let's go back, it's getting late."
Being careful not to wake up the sleeping kitten Mitsukai got up and followed Kazuya back to his apartment room. The kitten curled up snugly in her arms. She had to wonder why Kazuya didn't take the little guy home with him before. Wiat were pets not allowed here?
"Why don't you keep Kuro in your place? Are pets not allowed? It would probably be safer for him if he lived with you rather than outside."

"Hm?" Kazuya looked up once he had placed his telescope case away and saw Mitsukai standing in his room. "Oh. Pets are allowed here, but Kuro is a stray, he's able to fend for himself. It's just as well, even if I wanted to keep him as a pet, my schedule doesn't exactly afford me the luxury of looking after a pet." Kazuya replied, as he motioned with his head at his bed, indicating Mitsukai could sit down on his bed if she wanted, as he collapsed into his chair at his desk that was beside his bed, as he rested his legs up on his bed and leaned back in his chair. ["Besides, I think Kuro is more content with living outdoors, than inside my apartment. At least on his own, he can roam freely and go wherever he pleases, my apartment room isn't exactly the size of David Blaze's mansion."]
Kazuya remembered how big David's mansion had been, the only time he had ever lived in a place that was as big as it was, was back at St. Paragon's, when he had lived in Kane's Floor. Now all that remained of the tower was the ruins of the ground floor, most of the structure having fallen apart during the two years Kazuya had been asleep. St. Paragon's... It was hard to believe he had been asleep for 2 years in the underground facility located beneath it, Kazuya knew the damage from the Paladin's had been bad, but he never imagined it to this extent. It had been a shock for him after Kyoko had freed him and they emerged out of the facility. They then learned the students had been taken to Point Hope High... including the replica. Kazuya gently stroked Kuro's back, the little guy continued to snore quietly, even pawing slightly at Kazuya's hand, as Kazuya smiled slightly. Even in his sleep, Kuro reacted to Kazuya's touch, the little guy really loved Kazuya that much.

"Thats a shame." she said, though cats could take care of themselves for the most part they still needed someone to look after them and provide for them. It would be impossible to leave Kuro alone for days at a time. Hell Mitsukai didn't even feel too good about leaving Ammani home alone for a day and she had made sure the feline had food this morning. Well if I am staying here I could handle them both. she thought. All Mitsukai had to do was focus on training and school so she would be home more often then Kazuya might be, that meant she could easiky look after the two felines. Hey Ammani would actually have a playmate now, it wouldn't be too big of a deal.
["Besides, I think Kuro is more content with living outdoors, than inside my apartment. At least on his own, he can roam freely and go wherever he pleases, my apartment room isn't exactly the size of David Blaze's mansion."]
"Who's David Blaze?" she asked, taking the seat on the bed he offered her. Even being in this school for as long as she had been here she still didn't know most of the stronger students. She only focused on those that she had either fought, trained with or was actually close to, and those people were few and far between.

"It's not all bad," Kazuya replied, casually shrugging his shoulders, "Kuro's independent, so he doesn't have to rely on me for his food, and he visits me when I'm around plenty enough, especially at dinner time, so I tend to fed him when he does." Kazuya laughed, the little guy was tough, he had survived for this long so far, he'd be just fine. Though come to think of it, Kazuya never actually thought Kuro would want to be taken in, Long Beach was warm all year round, so there was no worry of him freezing in the cold. There were some nights however, that Kazuya let Kuro sleep in his apartment, simply because the little guy had fallen asleep. "David Blaze was the School Captain, well, ex-School Captain, when I was the Varsity Captain." Kazuya explained, as he rested his hands behind his head and leaned back, stretching slightly.
"When David gave the title to Gabriel voluntarily, simply because he had grown tired of Gabriel's actions, both Emily Delos Santos, the ex-Student Body President, and I, willingly gave up our titles. I flat out refuse to work under Gabe." And Kazuya had no desire to become a Pillar once more at 259. He could've easily challenged Mitsukai for her title, and acquired it, since he had won their spar, but he did not. Kazuya and Matrim may have worked together before, back at St. Paragon's, in the Enforcement Squad, but times had changed. Everything changes, nothing would return to the way it was. Some things were better left the way they currently were.

She nodded in understanding. Cats tend to be rather independent creatures, it was one of the reasons that Mitsukai liked cats so much. Before she came to 259 she had befriended quite a few stray felines. She couldn't have a pet of her own back then she settled for playing around with the strays, sometimes even feeding them if she had the chance. There was not much of a reason to worry about their well being. The only exception was Ammani but that was because when she found her a group of kids were beating her. It made her wonder if it was a bad thing for kittens to be wandering outside by themselves. A cat could defend themselves well enough, but a kitten? But maybe she was just over reacting.
"David Blaze was the School Captain, well, ex-School Captain, when I was the Varsity Captain." "When David gave the title to Gabriel voluntarily, simply because he had grown tired of Gabriel's actions, both Emily Delos Santos, the ex-Student Body President, and I, willingly gave up our titles. I flat out refuse to work under Gabe."
So David used to be the school captain, most likely before she even came to this school. By the time Mitsukai had come around this place Gabriel had been the school captain. Though for all she knew Gabriel could have gotten the title the day she met him. It was not like she had been paying much attention to what was going on back then, she was more focused on just surviving on a day to day basis that who was in control of the school was of no concern of hers.
"Looks like I'm not the only one who doesn't like working with Gabriel." she chuckled. Though Mitsukai never had to be a pillar under him she was involved with him, though the reason behind that was not for Gabriel himself. It was not like she detested the man but there was just somethings concerning his goals that she did not like. It was his way of going about it that she didn't like. There was some good that came from being around him, mostly the amount of fights she got into but it was not worth what she could lose in the end. She could understand why the former pillars refused to work with him.

"Heh, well Mr. Gabriel Seran isn't exactly the most popular or easiest person to work with." Kazuya chuckled, he and Gabriel had this sort of grudging, albeit small, respect for each other. Kazuya respected Gabriel's strength, and it was partly because of Gabriel, that Kazuya had worked so hard to become stronger, because he wanted to be just as strong, so that he could protect those he cared and loved dearly. Kazuya did not detest Gabriel as much as a few people he met, but it was the methods he used to achieve his goals, that drove Kazuya away from him. His goals, while worthwhile to achieve, were not worth the means he used to attain them in the end, and the end result was not worth what he could potentially end up losing in the end.
"Gabriel is not all bad. However, I greatly detest the methods he uses to achieve his goals, and in the end, the result, while it has good intentions, is not worth the process used to attain it." Kazuya admitted, as he ran his hand casually through his hair. Like most of the students, Kazuya had been focusing more on getting stronger and surviving in 259, even though he barely engaged in any fights, as compared to back at 42. As violent as 259 was, if you were strong, most of the students tend to steer clear of you, which gave Kazuya the chance to learn what was happening at 259. "As much as most want change to happen badly at 259, the way Gabriel tries to attain it, is not the only way. There is always another way."

Yeah Gabriel certainly wasn't the easiest man to get alone with and this was coming from a girl who was not that great with people. It was not exactly the man himself that she had a problem with but like Kazuya it was the way he went about it. That and he could be a thoughtless, selfish little child. If Kevala wasn't so 'in love' with him and he kept hurting the poor girl then she wouldn't have much of an issue with him. Hell she would not even be working with him.

"He is an alright guy I guess..." she said "Though his faults make him rather frustrating to deal with." He was so obsessed sometimes with his goals that he tend to ignore the effects he was having on others she had noticed. "I don't like the way he is going about reaching his goals either. The way he goes about it he is acting just like the people he is against, he is most likely going to turn corrupt and bring down the goals he is trying to accomplish." No good could come from a man with power he claimed he wanted to do good and yet would do the same dirty tricks as the ones he wanted to get rid of to make the world a better place. He didn't realize it and probably would refuse to listen to her tell him that but that was how she saw it.
A part of her wished he would realize this himself one day and maybe change for the better but such a chance was small. The most she could hope for was to try and not get too close to the man so she herself wouldn't fall too far in the chaos he would one day create.

"You and me both..." Kazuya chuckled, as he casually folded his arms across his chest and leaned back even more, his chair teetering precariously on the back legs. Gabriel had never been a person Kazuya had gotten along with easily, and this was Kazuya we're talking about. He was sarcastic and cynical to everyone he met, save for Kyoko and Emily. His sarcastic nature alone was enough to keep people from befriending him, only a few actually managed to become friends with him, and none of them had been an easy process. Compared to Gabriel, Kazuya seemed friendly. "With great power, comes great responsibility." Kazuya quoted from the Spiderman movie, as he nodded his head slightly at Mitsukai. Gabriel, if he continued on the path he was on, he would eventually become corrupted, and self-destruct. He was stubborn and set in his ways, he would more than likely not change the course he was on.
"Oh young grasshopper, you, I, we all have much to learn." Kazuya said, sounding like a wise monk, as he held his index finger up, his chair teetering back and forth as he leaned back even further. Nobody stops learning. If you think you've learned everything possible, then you haven't learned anything at all. "He's completely set in his ways, he won't listen to anyo--" Kazuya began to say, before his chair toppled backwards, he had leaned a little too far back. Kazuya landed with a loud thump on his back, as he climbed off his chair and sat on the ground, rubbing his tailbone, as fate had one last thing in store for him, his alarm clock fell off his table, and bounced off his head, landing on the floor, as Kazuya rubbed not only his tailbone, but his head as well now. "... Ow..."

"You and me both..." "With great power, comes great responsibility."
His words were lost a little as she watched him leaning back on his chair. She had a strong desire to pull him back down on all four legs, if he leaned too far back he would hurt himself. Did he even know how far he was leaning backwards? Should she tell him?
"Oh young grasshopper, you, I, we all have much to learn."
"Ummm Kazu.....you probably shouldn't-" she tried to say but he was a bit preoccupied in what he was saying that he didn't seem to notice.
"He's completely set in his ways, he won't listen to anyo--"
And he fell.....
And he even took his alarm clock with him....
"... Ow..."
"Shit are you okay?" she said, instantly coming to his side. Coming to crouch down in front of him to see the extent of the damage. Momentarily forgetting about any personal space issues. She was too busy inspecting the top of his head, her hand lightly running through his hair to see if there was any bump. "It looked like that alarm clock hit you pretty hard."

"Y-- Yeah." Kazuya replied, as he blushed slightly from the look of concern on Mitsukai's face, as he felt her hand run lightly through his hair, checking to see if he had a bump on his head. She's so cute. Besides the fact he had a bit of a headache, and his tailbone was sore, Kazuya was fine for the most part. "I'll be alright." Kazuya grinned sheepishly, as he rubbed the back of his head, he didn't even notice how close in proximity he and Mitsukai were. Man these two were dense... and oblivious.
They only just met each other, and they were already pretty good friends... and going to live together... in the same apartment... on top of that. "I'll be fine." He reassured her again, for the second time today, he did not notice that he could see her you-know-what, since she was crouching down in front of him, and even sitting down, he was still taller than her. He then climbed to his feet and placed his chair back at his desk, and held his hand out to her, not noticing his clock was still on the floor, where someone could step on it and possibly trip... or fall.

"I'll be alright."
The blush on his face confused Mitsukai a little, was something wrong with him? Why in the world was he blushing? Hopefully it was not because he wasn't feeling well or anything, sometimes when someone was running a fever their face might get red. But he wasn't really sick now was he.
"I'll be fine."
He reassured her and tried to get back on his feet. He put the chair back in its proper place and offered her a hand, which she took without thinking she too had forgotten about the clock that was still on the floor. So as she got up and was about to move she tripped, falling forward right into him for the second time today. God I am such a klutz....

"..." Was Kazuya's reaction as Mitsukai tripped and fell right into him, as he caught her in his arms automatically. Awkward moment count: ... I lost count. ".... You okay?" He asked, as he looked down at her in mild curiosity, his arms wrapped around her, probably didn't help he was wearing just a black tank top and a pair of jeans, his tank top was thin enough that she'd be able to feel his stomach muscles through the thin material. Not that Kazuya thought of this at the time, he was more worried if Mitsukai was alright or not.
Once he was sure she had gotten her balance back, he'd release her, as he rubbed the back of his head, talk about an awkward moment, and the two of them had plenty of them today alone. Bending down, he'd pick up his alarm clock, and place it back on his table, where nobody would be able to trip on it accidentally... again. Sitting down on his bed, Kazuya gently picked Kuro up, who had been snoozing on his bed, and plopped him into his lap, as Kuro shifted slightly, making himself comfortable while continuing to snore quietly.
