The writings of the past where often the things hardest to relate upon, whether they be simply too hard to coordinate with or their teachings to archaic. Although however harsh a past the Seran blood had been through it was by no means archaic to follow. Born of riches taught in the finest mannerisms of speech and politics, though reserved to a point where they valued the old ways of life, and feared a higher power above themselves that they could hardly even find the power to understand. This is what they believed kept their family going. And even as the last bloodlines experienced their trivial contesting moments they were somehow guided. Or so went the tale.
Monday morning often bred fatal thoughts, the recollection of a new morning at school kept a person who was normally very active to suggest his better thoughts into rolling over and deciding not to get up. Also there was the idea that in college perhaps there'd be another chance to make up the days he spent sleeping in. But again when push came to shove it was the more determined force that won, that being said Gabriel rose lazily to dunk himself beneath a shower of water and shampoo finding himself to wake slowly to an all to recognizable ring in the air. Morning. He was more of the night person.
Lingering only long enough to get changed Gabriel skipped out on breakfast finding himself better motivated through class to work on an empty stomach, perhaps that hunger would force him to focus as if not answering all the gratuitous questions the teacher could hold him back from leaving and escaping out towards the cafe to snag a bit of food.
Mannerisms of a regal life had now gone to rubbish, it wasn't that he was impolite it was simply Gabriel had been muddled down, his pride more hidden and eating as a commoner would didn't embarrass him, sticking with the crowd was enjoyable at a point and time at least for some social interaction. Though when larger feats came to mind he'd have no problem standing out with his superior abilities.
Lurking over a table Gabriel nestled in quickly seeking to not stay longer than it took to eat, after that he would take off however there was the ever watchful caution the animal quality that suggested he watch over his food, perhaps in fear of attack or have his beloved sandwich snatched up before him.

It was a bright morning in Long Beach, and the sun only seemed to give off more light through the crystal clear windows of the penthouse suite of the Hilton Hotel. The beautiful youth that laid in the large bed winced as he looked toward the light as his eyes fluttered open after what could be considered a night's sleep. In truth he had gotten quite intoxicated the night before with a couple of lady friends, or acquaintances since he had just met them, and after awhile the memories of the night faded from existence. Sitting up on the bed he noticed that both of the young woman had their arms around his waist, each of them far more in their passed out state than he was. He would grin at another successful night of fun and lift their arms off of his body as he got up from the bed. Letting out a long yawn as he stretched at the end of the bed, he would scratch his head as he made his way to the bathroom to take a shower.
After about thirty minutes of washing the taint off of his body, shaving and getting his hair to stay the way he wanted it to, he would leave the shower with nothing but a towel wrapped around his body. At this point his two bed companions were getting up and stretching, looking at him with glistened eyes and loving smiles. As they realized that they were both in the bed, and hadn't slept with him alone, they quickly got out of the bed and covered their bare bodies with the blankets. Nathan would chuckle at their reaction to the situation that they were in as he dropped the towel and put on his plaid boxers and black jeans. Once this was done he would carry the rest of his clothes for the day over to the bed and place them onto of the messed up sheets and blankets. Taking a seat at the edge of the bed, he would begin putting his socks on.
"Hey Nathan, which of us do you like more?"
One of the girls would ask as they both made their way to the front of the bed.
"Yeah, I mean, we both obviously slept with you, but you have to find one of us more attractive."
Nathan would shake his head at the constant badgering from the two girls. After getting his socks and shoes on, he would look back and forth between the two naked girls that stood in front of him with their arms crossed over their chests.
"What do you girls want from me? Do you expect me to start dating one of you and wisp you away to a fantasy land to live happily ever after? I got what I wanted, and I'm sure you both enjoyed your night with me, so how about you both grab your things and leave."
The girls seemed surprised at his bluntness, but he wasn't going to give the girls false hope of something. Each of them were equally attractive physically, but the had the personalities of a rock and a pea, so their only true use was sex. As they gathered their belongings and got dressed they seemed to be talking to each other about him, though he was surprised to hear that they weren't complaining about him. They would giggle at what they were talking about, and as he got up to pull the tight white tee shirt over his head he saw each of them writing something on a piece of paper before they opened the door to leave, blowing kisses back at him as they shut the door. He would walk over to the table that they left the piece of paper, wrapping his scarf around his neck and putting his trench coat on, and he would pick up the piece of paper.

It appeared that the girls saw things the same way that he did, and decided to give him their numbers just in case he decided he wanted to have another pleasure filled night with them. He would smile as he placed the numbers into a drawer, seemingly filled with more numbers from the women that he had seduced in the past. Pulling a cigarette out of his pocket, he would place it between his lips and light the end with his zippo, taking a long drag from the addicting cancer stick as he exited his suite and made his way out of the hotel. The elevator ride down was always interesting, and this day was no different. A young couple decided to join him on the ride down, kissing each other on the neck and giggling at the strange situation they were in with Nathan right next to them. He'd simply stand there with a grin as the door finally opened on the first floor, leaving them to continue their kissing session.
As he exited the building his Jaguar was being brought up by the valet, who brought the keys to Nathan and walked into the hotel. He knew that Nathan left his tips at the front desk, as he wasn't one to socialize with the people working at the hotel unless they were female. Entering his dark green sports car, he'd rev the engine and take off in the direction of PHS 259. It was finally time for him to meet the young man known as Gabriel Seran, current heir to the Seran family and his long lost brother. It was a school day, and early enough for him to catch him either in class or just going to eat. Either way he would find Gabriel, which based on appearance wouldn't be too difficult as the family resemblance would make him stand out. It was just a matter of tracking down which area of the school he was currently residing in.
Pulling up into the parking lot of the school, he would exit his car and slowly make his way to the school itself. Many people began making comments about him, but he made sure to wear sunglasses so his emerald green eyes remained hidden. Most people had heard that there was a new student, even though more and more seemed to enter the halls every week, but it wasn't everyday that someone like Nathaniel arrived at the school. He would make his way down the hall until a girl stood in front of him, stopping him from going any further. He looked down at her, as she was at least eight inches shorter than he was, and cock his eyebrow a bit as a grin spread across his lips. He hoped that this girl could help him in one way or another, though at the moment it would have been better if she could lead him in the right direction of Gabriel.
"Your new aren't you? Can I... Help you with anything?"
Her eyes would look him up and down, and immediate attraction to Nathan being obvious as she gave him a seductive smile.
"Actually, if you know where Gabriel Seran is I'd love it if you could point me in the right direction."
He smiled at her warmly, waiting for some sort of reply. She seemed to be slightly disappointed, but at the same time happy that he somehow was connected to Gabriel.
"Yeah, I think I saw him heading to the cafeteria. Once you're done with whatever business you have with him we should hang out or something. I could show you around."
"I'd like that, and thanks for the info. You've been a doll."
With a kiss to the cheek, he'd walk past her and make his way to the cafeteria, pushing the door open and looking around the large room for someone that looked like himself. He didn't have a picture to go off of, but he figured that it wouldn't be hard to pick out someone with the background of being a known Seran. Many of the students turned to see who was simply standing next to the door, but he ignored their stares as he gaze finally came across a well-dressed young man with the same emerald green eyes that he had. He was eating his lunch alone, and it looked like he wasn't exactly having the best morning. Sure, it was a Monday, but that didn't give him the right to be in such a melancholy mood. Nathan would move to the lunch line, grab a sandwich and a glass of water and take a seat opposite Gabriel, placing his meal in front of him.
"Well don't you look a little worse for the wear." He would say before taking a sip of his water, never taking hims gaze off of the young man's eyes. "Not a morning person I take it?... Me either, but this morning seemed different somehow. It may be because I'm starting anew here in this school. Different from Manchester, I'll give it that much, and the women? Well, I'm guessing you know what I'm talking about." His Manchester accent was obvious, as he wasn't trying to hide it, and so Gabriel would more than likely figure out that he was British. "But look at me talking my bloody mouth off when I haven't even introduced myself. The names Nathan, Nathan Beauvais, and I just transferred here after a series of... unfortunate events involving my family happened back in England. Not something I like talking about, myself, but it happened. What name do you go by, if you don't mind my asking?" He would hint that it wasn't actually his real name, but just the name he went by, but it was very subtle.

The calm determined facade on Gabriel's face went undeterred even as the new boy sat across from him intent upon chatting himself into some sort of record book. There was always the obvious cynicism with Gabriel, weighing people he met as they came but always doubting their sort of resolve, doubting in fact that they weren't out for some separate notion of attention that their secret agendas were always visible if one took the opportunity to look.
Emerald hues traced him over, there was the reflective notion that he'd seen the boy once before, though the many school's Gabriel had been to it could have been anyone and Nathan didn't specifically ring a bell towards his photographic memory. An English accent, noting of course he was just as foreign as Gabriel was himself though particularly from another continent one he didn't have the best ties with of course. The last name however struck more of a bell, recalling dates, names and specific family lines throughout his own family's history as he researched his line's connections. They'd served us once or perhaps that was just a coincidence. Also a name of French birth. This man was close in some relation though he didn't realize how that was plausible, everyone connected to the old family was dead. Unless he came from Aubrey's bloodline he didn't understand any possible relation.
Of course the last observation that struck his attentive glance was at the attire he wore, the scent of woman smothering him. He shared a coincidental link with Gabriel and that was perhaps his lusting after women or at the very least a common skill that drew them in.
"Unfortunate events eh? It seems that perhaps we are blood brothers... The name's Gabriel Seran."
Gabriel made a soft chuckle not intending upon what he'd said however there were always the play on words that could link them.

Nathan sat across the table from the young man that had, by his overall appearance, proven to be the little brother that he had been looking for. He didn't know what to expect when he found Gabriel, but as they sat there staring each other down he began to make his own analysis. His demeanor, the way that he was currently carrying himself, was far different from the slight facade that Nathan himself always had up. Gabriel didn't seem to mind letting others know how he really was, at least to an extent, which was something that he could admire in some ways. Nathan sometimes wanted to just act like he felt, but it simply wouldn't help his plans to show his true self to everyone that he met. He needed allies, friends even, in order to manipulate into furthering his ambition for further power in the world. Gabriel was one of these said people, and he wouldn't let him slip out of his grasp so easily.
They would continue to stare each other down, but Nathan could tell that his brother was trying to recall something. Did he actually have the knowledge that Nathan's parents were once in the employee of their family? Nathan was never one to put a thought aside, and so he could only assume that this is what Gabriel was trying to figure out. It really didn't matter, as if it came up he would tell the truth about the matter, or at least the truth that would be known by anyone who at least scratched the surface. There was so much more to Nathaniel than anyone could even imagine, and the truth about his birth was still only the beginning. He would slowly let Gabriel into his own little world, but not to the point that his brother knew the deepest, darkest secret that he held so dear to him. Some things are just meant to remain buried forever, and in Nathan's case that meant a lot of his life.
A slight smirk would spread across Gabriel's face as he looked at what Nathan was wearing. Perhaps he approved of his attire, or maybe there was something else hidden behind the smile. Whatever the reason it didn't matter at the moment, as long as he wasn't thinking that his clothes were crappy. Nathan liked his particular style, and nothing anyone could say would change that. At this point a number of others in the cafeteria were watching out of the corner of their eyes and listening to the little meeting that was taking place between Gabriel Seran and the new kid. Did his little brother have some sort of pull in the student body, or was it just that Nathan himself was new to the school. So many questions with not enough answers, which was something that Nathaniel didn't enjoy. He liked being in the know how, and it was only a matter of time before this happened.
Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, Gabriel took to his part of the conversation, hinting that he was slightly curious about the unfortunate events of Nathan's past. It seemed that this made them blood brothers in Gabriel's eyes, and Nathaniel knew exactly what he meant by this. The Seran family had slowly been either dieing off or being murdered, and it seemed that Nathan and Gabriel were two of the last remaining members of the family. It was funny that Gabriel called them blood brothers, seeing as they truly were brothers, but Nathan kept his composure. Then he heard the words that he had been waiting to hear since he arrived in the U.S. He was told that the young man truly was Gabriel, though he knew almost immediately anyway. The emerald green eyes were always a dead give away when it came to his family, hence why Nathan liked to hide his own.
"Blood brothers, eh? I'm guessing that means you've been through some form of hell yourself?" He would get an understanding look on his face, though he already knew the general story. Drunk gambling father, troubled youth, death of family, it was all there. "I won't pry into your personal life, though, as I don't intend on telling you my whole life story either. Its just good to see someone else who seems to have... similar tastes in things from the looks of it." Gabriel could take this a number of ways, but the most likely was their attire. They both liked to dress nicely, but Nathan was hinting to something even further. "But enough about how alike we are, as that is obvious. Perhaps we could get better acquainted over this exquisite cuisine in front of us."
He would let out a slight laugh of his own as he removed his glasses, closing his eyes as he did so. Placing them on the table, eyes still shut, he would grab his sandwich with both hands, place his elbows on the table and take a decent bite from the plain ham and cheese he had taken. Not the greatest thing you could get your hands on, but then again this was a school cafeteria. He would lower the sandwich just below his chin, chewing the bland contents and letting out a satisfied sound as he forced it down his throat. With the first bite done, he would place the sandwich back on the table and grab his water, bringing it up to his lips and finally opening his eyes to return Gabriel's gaze. With his bottle still next to his lips, he would smile over at Gabriel with his left eyebrow cocked slightly. "So, would you care to start Gabriel?"

Gabriel returned the laugh in find taste finding something odd, this character before him was actually likable by all extents. He'd barely run into the type of guy like that at a school of this nature. Probably one in every hundred turned out to be someone of "good character" or at least relateable or even sensible not overridden with some form of extreme cockiness. He smirked with a sure grin taking a bite of his own sandwich as his aforementioned "Blood Brother" spoke out once more about getting better acquainted and for Gabriel to start a bit of the session.
"Well I suppose we can get the less likable things out of the way, I was once Captain here, not much of an award seeing as how quickly the title gets passed around by this time it kinda means nothing anymore."
Gabriel chuckled at the current hierarchy probably thinking greatly of themselves in such high pedestals clouding their thoughts missing the true realization that instantly they'd been the most hated people on campus, realized by more than enough people of this school.
"Been here since I was a Junior, moved around a bit before returning again. And once more getting ready to move on I suppose, I figure teaching here will be the next best thing. Seeing my old classmates will sure as hell be a fun torture." Another laugh in concentration.
Was he speaking out too much, enough information to create an enemy? Perhaps but then again feeding him truths would be an evident remark, but he hid the important details from the conversation, friends, important individuals. Those were the real money.
"How about yourself? Any wise remarks to the future."
Always the future with this kid...
