"I'm sorry Matrim... I'm so sorry... I would never let anything happen to Shayne, or me. That's why I didn't attack, I wasn't going to risk losing either of you now that I have you both. I love you and I'm sorry. You did what you thought was best, and it worked. Thank you." She said, pushed into his arms. He held her and kissed the top of her head, holding her tightly until the moment she started to pull away.
"Let's go in ok? Let's go play with Shayne. I'm not sleeping anymore tonight." She said, and he left his hand at the small of her back, as he guided them toward the door.
"Yeah...." He said, and walked in, holding the door for her. Once in they were both met by a shotgun wielding Gale.
"Hold it. He gone?"
Matrim nodded, "Yes, you can put away that damn thing."
"It's a fake anyway, since I know you won't let a weapon in this home," She said, "Which is a smart decision I might add as I've had many accidental weapons discharge-- and don't you dare giggle because I said discharge."
Matrim let out a half hearted laugh as he walked in, "Yeah, thanks though. It's the thought that counts," He said putting his fingers into the hole of the weapon and raising it and lowering it in the air until she snatched it away from him. "Go get Shayne honey," He said and leaned in giving her a peck on the lips, "I'm gonna get a bottle and make a sandwich while it heats up. You want anything?"

She allowed him to guide her to the door, a sad smile on her face. Now she just wanted to get inside and get Shayne back in her arms. She wanted to make sure that sweet little baby face of his was ok, get him that milk she had promised him, maybe get something to snack on herself, then play a game or two with-- Shit.
Matrim opened the door, putting them face to face with the barrel of a shotgun.
"Hold it. He gone?"
Sara simply nodded, pressing herself back against Matrim. Gale was SCARY. Gabriel would have been scared shitless of her had Matrim let her have a go at him.
"And don't you dare giggle because I said discharge."
Sara laughed softly, letting out the soft breath she had been holding in from fear as she stepped past Gale and into the house. She gave Matrim a small kiss and was off. There was no need for Matrim to tell her to get Shayne. She was already halfway up the stairs, rushing to get to him. "I'll just eat half of whatever you're having!"
She reached the top of the stairs and moved down the hall to Shayne's room. She pushed open the door and peeked inside. Her sweet little baby was once again standing in his crib. The moment he saw her he broke out into a toothless little grin, holding out his hand to her. She came forward, scooping him out of his crib and nuzzling his neck, making him giggle and squirm as she carried him back downstairs.
She moved into the kitchen, dropping into a seat at the table and cuddling Shayne to her chest, whispering to him. For the first time, she used the term mom in front of Matrim, tonight's incident making her not real care. They hadn't spoken about the Reira thing since it happened and Sara had just avoided using the term mother, or mom in front of him. Now, she cooed into Shayne's neck and face as she planted little kisses on him. "Mom's sweet baby, it's ok, mommy's here..." The one thing she wanted more then anything was for him to see her and say mom. When that happened, she could die a happy woman.

"Mom's sweet baby, it's ok, mommy's here..." Sara had said, kissing Shayne and holding him. Matrim had been busy getting the bottle ready and making himself a sandwich with lettuce, fresh deli meat, mostly consisting of salami and some olive loaf. And then some cheese, mayo, and it was ready to go. And just because he felt like it he got a toothpick, poked two green olives with pimentos and poked it in the center of the sandwich, pushing it toward Sara as he got the bottle.
"Alright," He said, putting a butter knife on the plate with the sandwich and then handing Sara the bottle to feed Shayne after testing it on his wrist. It was good now, not too hot or anything. He sliced the sandwich in two, the bottom half which was slightly larger and the top half which was ever so slightly smaller was Matrim's. And the olives? They were on Sara's half. He start chowing down.
"So what'd he want," Gale said.
"Hish furds egjacly wur 'Ah knee ju to kihl me'."
"His words were what now?" She smacked Matrim upside the head and instead turned to Sara for her answer.

"Alright."
Sara took the bottle from him and put it Shayne's lips. Immediately, he latched onto the piece and started sucking, his hands holding onto the bottle. She thought that was so damn cute, but he still wasn't strong enough to hold it himself without dropping it every few seconds. She eyed the sandwich that he sliced in half and then reached over, plucking the olives from the plate. She popped them into her mouth as she fed Shayne, when Gale spoke.
"So what'd he want."
Saras gaze flicked to Matrim, waiting to see what his answer was. She wasn't sure how much he wanted her to know. Best to wait to see what he shared. She had no problem filling Gale in, but she knew that the final decision was up to Matrim.
"Hish furds egjacly wur 'Ah knee ju to kihl me'."
... Well... He was just going to jump right into it then wasn't he? No holding anything back. She shrugged, grabbing her half of the sandwich and took a bite, letting Shayne hold the bottle for a moment. As if on cue, the bottle dropped. Sara hung her head sadly, but it seemed this time Shayne had done it for another reason. He reached out at the sandwich making baby noises. Sara, although disgusting, assumed it was probably just that time, and opened her mouth, pulling out a piece of now soggy, partially chewed bread.
"His words were what now?"
As she fed the little piece to Shayne, she shrugged again, avoiding looking at either Matrim or Gale. "He said he wanted us to kill him." Strange how you could say something like that in every day conversation over a sandwich in the middle of the night after a maniac had just broken into their house, and not think twice. She plucked another small piece of bread and gave it to Shayne. He gobbled it up, sucking on it and gumming it. "It's fine though. I don't think we'll have anymore problems from him."
She hopped off the chair and grabbed the bottle, bringing it to the sink and washed it off, then gave it back to Shayne. At this point, he wanted nothing to do with the bottle. She sighed, looking to Matrim. "So what do we do?"

"So what do we do?"
"Whatever he wants us to do," Matrim said, "We kill him. If he doesn't want us to actually kill him, we go along with whatever since in reality, all we need is knowledge of the events that are taking place. If we're considered his ally, that's one less enemy. We don't drop our guard whatever we do," He said, "In no way will we allow anyone to come to harm that we care about. That being said whether we're staging a death, staging a kidnapping, or actually killing and or maiming and or torturing Gabriel, we do it."
He bit into the sandwich, and thought about it, "I mean call me crazy but technically it's just assisted suicide if things go wrong and he really dies, assuming that's not what he wants in the first place. So... I'm always down. But we'll just wait and see."
"Have I ever told you that you're cut throat." Gale said, obviously disturbed by how okay Matrim was with killing him for nothing.
"Every one of my family was murdered except for Shayne," Matrim said, "I'm not cut throat, I'm just reasonable. I'll do anything and everything to make sure my enemies are buried before their victims."
