Sara pulled her truck into the driveway and dropped her forehead onto the steering wheel. What had happened at school had thrown her off really bad. Maybe it was time to start buckling down with her studies and actually graduate. At least then she might have the stuff to get some sort of job and support this... No, don't go there...
She pushed open the door to the truck and climbed out, feeling extremely ill. There was just a lot to take in. What did it matter about the title? She had given it up. And yet... It still bothered her immensely. She hadn't stuck around to see what Matrim had done, and tried her hardest to push the curiosity from her mind. It didn't matter. There were more important things to think about.
But if he actually handed it over... =_="
She slammed the truck door closed and jogged up the steps into the house. Immediately, she was met with the sounds of Shayne giggling and baby talking. Her stomach plummeted, and immediately following, guilt shot through her. As though to prove to herself that it didn't matter, didn't mean anything, she skipped into the kitchen and scooped Shayne up out of highchair, dancing around with him. Gale was at the sink and turned around to watch her. "You don't look so good."
Sara slowed, the smile that had touched her lips falling away as she turned wide eyes to Gale. "What do you mean?"
"Well you just look pale and a little... peckish or something. Did you want me to make you anything?"
She settled Shayne back in the chair. "No, it's fine. When Matrim gets home, tell him I'm in the basement." She made her way out of the room and down the stairs into the basement and into the workout area. What better to work off some of this stress then to do a little training. She started slow, stretching and working on her flexibility before starting with form, staring into the mirror in front of her. Before she knew it, time had flown by and she wondered what time it was as she took a sip of water before returning to start on the punching bag.

Matrim made his way to the house, finally driving up he parked next to Sara's truck and got out. His hand was sore, he knew he'd have trouble when he went to fight that guy. His only saving grace was he could set himself fire. Always a plus.
What in the world am I going to tell her.....
He walked in and downstairs after looking at Gale. Honestly, one look at that woman and Matrim could pretty much tell what she was saying, one little head tilt toward the door to the basement and he knew. So he headed down there to see her training, or taking a break from, "Ahh, training huh?" He said as he walked downstairs.
"So spill it, why'd you give up the title? Why'd you quit?" He would ask very plainly, he wasn't angry. Hell, if he was angry with her imagine how angry she'd get right back once she found out what he did. No, the best option was just to talk it out, tell her what he had planned and hopefully be told why she had given up her title.
I'll tell you my story if you tell me yours. Quid pro quo Clarice.
(OOC: Why am I full of fucking movie quotes today?)

"Ahh, training huh?"
Sara's eyes narrowed as she took one last long drink from her water bottle. She wasn't... angry. She was... She didn't know what she was, she was a lot of things. Scared, pissed off, frustrated... Pregnant.
Fuck...
"Ya, needed to work off some extra energy." She moved to the punching bag without looking at him and started with her right, dancing around the bag and throwing punches at it, trying to get her form right. Try as she might, it was impossible to ignore his presence right now. She wanted to yell and scream at him. She swore to god, he had super troopers in his pants or something. Two kids, two women. They had been careful for christs sake.
"So spill it, why'd you give up the title? Why'd you quit?"
Ah, the elephant in the room. Wanted to jump right into eh? She slowly grabbed the bag to still it from its swinging as she finally focused on him. "I just did a lot of thinking and decided..." Goddamit, she hated lying to him. She was terrible at it. He always knew. "Oh hey! What happened at the school? With that asshole and the give up the title shit. You don't look any worse for wear, so I'm assuming he wasn't as strong as he looked?"
Two could play this game. He wanted to jump right in? Well so could she. Eventually it would come back to his question, but for now they could focus on this. She moved over to the small living room space and dropped onto the couch, breathing slightly heavier from her workout as she waited for his answer.

"Ya, needed to work off some extra energy." She said, punching the bag without turning to face him at all. It was somewhat strange to just see her do nothing. And then she stoped the bag, "I just did a lot of thinking and decided... Oh hey! What happened at the school? With that asshole and the give up the title shit. You don't look any worse for wear, so I'm assuming he wasn't as strong as he looked?"
"Way to change the subject Sara," He said, almost hoping he'd had said it in his head. Oh well, it was true, "No he was exactly as strong as he looked. Possibly even more so considering my own reading on this thing isn't the best I could milk out..." He said as he thought about it, "You're power level is in the 11k range generally. His was creeping up on 20k. My own is between the two somewhere..."
He set the goggles down on a table and turned toward her as he pulled his coat off, setting it down as well, "I have a day, tomorrow I go fight him. And just in case I was going to lose, I gave the title to Mitsukai. That way I fight that guy without risking anything. Mitsukai can protect the title for now. I would have given it to you except you seemed to... well, want nothing to do with the titles. In any case, I'll take them back if necessary, otherwise I'll take up Mitsukai's old job as Varsity."
That might work out pretty well actually...
Matrim prepared himself for any reaction, either way he was ready to fight her if that's what she was going to do.

"Way to change the subject Sara..."
The glare she sent him would have had any normal man cowering in his socks. However, it was true, painfully so. She knew she was obvious. It was just something she lived with. Didn't mean she couldn't try if the topic was uncomfortable for her. "I don't know what you mean." She smiled sweetly, but her eyes told him exactly what she would like to say to him.
"No he was exactly as strong as he looked. Possibly even more so considering my own reading on this thing isn't the best I could milk out... You're power level is in the 11k range generally. His was creeping up on 20k. My own is between the two somewhere..."
She nodded to the first part. She had never really understood the goggles, they were just there and they looked funny. If Matrim wanted to make a fool out of himself, so be it. However the next part... 11K eh? IT'S OVER 9000 D< She wasn't completely sure how 20K compared to her 11K though until he spoke of his own level. Somewhere in between. So he was stronger then her. Meaning that other guy was A LOT stronger then her. For the purpose of the reason she was going to give him, she had to stick with this, rub this in. "You sure that thing isn't broken? If you ask me, you can't really be THAT much stronger then me considering how badly I beat you."
"... In any case, I'll take them back if necessary, otherwise I'll take up Mitsukai's old job as Varsity."
Now she stopped. "You did what?" She stared at him incredulously. "You're not serious, right?" She pushed off the chair. The problem was, she was damn well still interested in the titles, in being a pillar, she just... Couldn't right now... It wasn't going to work... She approached him, her fists at her sides, clenched and shaking. "Mistukai? I'll admit she made amazing progress, yes. She's gotten a lot stronger, but when people find out and her title is on the line? Do you realize how quickly it'll pass to someone dangerous? Hell, it could pass to someone like... someone like... ME! What would happen if someone like ME had it!?"
She pushed out at him, just trying to shove him back. She didn't know exactly why she was picking a fight with him. She was just so... full of pent up frustration. And as usual, she could trace it all back to him.

"I don't know what you mean." She had said, trying to play it innocent.... "You sure that thing isn't broken? If you ask me, you can't really be THAT much stronger then me considering how badly I beat you."
"Hey when I threw that punch you would have been shocked to see where I was at! You'd have shat yourself if you knew the difference then!" He said, in an outburst to try and one up her. The next part she didn't take quite so well apparently.
"You did what? You're not serious, right? Mistukai? I'll admit she made amazing progress, yes. She's gotten a lot stronger, but when people find out and her title is on the line? Do you realize how quickly it'll pass to someone dangerous? Hell, it could pass to someone like... someone like... ME! What would happen if someone like ME had it!?"
She shoved him, well he pushed back to try and knock her into the punching bag, if nothing else but to just get back at her for shoving him in the first place, "HEY! You think I'd let that happen? The second someone else got it I'd just take it from them if I had to. And so goes the cycle, and that's just how it'd be. Time after time after time." He said, "If you have a problem then just go ahead and show me what it is if you're so strong, huh? Show me how strong you really are then? Come on, give me your best shot!"
He waved her on, he didn't know why he was acting out. Probably because he was pissed at this guy who randomly wanted to fight him. Oh well....

In response to her shove, he pushed her back. He hit her and knocked her back roughly against the punching bag, making her loose her balance and stumble away from it. Her cheeks flushed as she caught herself, realizing she just made herself look like a fool by nearly tripping. She turned her gaze away from him in a defiant and rude gesture, turning her head to the side and refusing to look at him.
"HEY! You think I'd let that happen? The second someone else got it I'd just take it from them if I had to. And so goes the cycle, and that's just how it'd be. Time after time after time. If you have a problem then just go ahead and show me what it is if you're so strong, huh? Show me how strong you really are then? Come on, give me your best shot!"
She turned back to him, chewing the inside of her cheek to keep herself from turning this into a screaming match. She didn't want to really fight him though. It was the reason that she had given up the title. In her condition, fighting was a bad idea. Shew wouldn't risk herself like that. But right now...? She couldn't turn down this challenge.
She stepped forward, planting her left foot just in front of him and throwing a right hook for his cheek, and then following through with the momentum for a knee to his left side, trying to catch him off guard after the punch. Lame, and she probably should have used her qi, but... She was really interested to see how she compared to him without it.
The guilt inside her seemed to grow. Not only was she hiding something from him, but now she was taking all her aggression out on him for no reason at all.

She didn't say anything back, she merely reacted by punching him in the cheek and then slamming a knee into his side. Thankfully she didn't catch him high enough to get to where his tender ribs were, along with bruised and slightly burnt skin in the area. Instead what he got was a new pain that would be greeted with one for her. He leaned back his entire body and then pushing his head down, tucking it and leaning forward and down with his momentum he would stike her forehead with the top of his skull in a headbutt.
If this worked he would simply let the strike take place and hopefully it'd be enough to knock her off her high horse and maybe onto her ass but either way he wasn't about to punch and kick her. Headbutting was a bit more dangerous sometimes but he always felt like such a wife beater if he punched her. Sure burning her and headbutting her wasn't any worse but, for some strange reason unless they were actually fighting.... besides....
He would stop immediately afterwards and say, "NOT inside...." And then he'd stop. Because if she had bursted in this area, and it happened to damage any of the structural integrity of the building, they'd be putting Gale and Shayne at a huge risk.
NOT the smartest option there.

She had hoped to get the knee higher, but no such luck, at least he had taken the hit. She honestly didn't know why she was doing this, it was stupid and dangerous. It was almost like she was testing herself, trying to see how far she could go before something bad happened, or that she was fighting the truth more then she was him. He slammed his head forward after her attack.
She only had enough to tilt her head to the side, taking the headbutt to the shoulder as opposed to her head. The force of it still shocked through her though and she immediately backed off, bringing both fists up in front of her as she put space between them, rolling her shoulder as the tried to work out the pain.
"NOT inside...."
She bared her teeth, giving him a skeptic look. "Wouldn't be the first time we did it here." She didn't care right now. Her mind was set on one thing, fighting. Fighting him. No matter how stupid she realized it was, for their home, for their relationship, for herself, she wasn't going to stop yet.
She stepped forward again, throwing a right fist upwards into his gut, keeping her arm out of the way so that she could slam her left palm up into his chin just after she threw the punch.

"Wouldn't be the first time we did it here."
She said as she had taken the hit to her shoulder. She backed off a bit with both of her fists up. Matrim was done fighting since they were inside. As she stepped forward and threw a right fist he dodged to the left to avoid it. As she went to hit his chin well, he wouldn't really be where she could hit him. His left hand would push against her back, "If you don't stop right fucking now I'll take this outside. Now tell me what the hell is wrong?"
He was pissed off so much that this fight was worthless, it's why he didn't want it. It didn't seem like a normal fight, it felt more personal. There was more anger in her attacks than there should be which meant that this wasn't just about some need to be stronger. She had proven that, so why was she so upset? "Maybe you need to cool off...." He said.
I may have to throw her through a window or something if she keeps this up....

As she threw the punch to his stomach, he dodged to the side. Not hitting anything sent her momentum forward and before she could turn to counter anything, he hit her in the back, pushing her forward further and sending her stumbling. She turned back to him, her cheeks red with anger, her shoulders shaking, and her fists clenched at her sides.
"If you don't stop right fucking now I'll take this outside. Now tell me what the hell is wrong?"
"Oh, I'm so scared...." She hissed the words at him, mocking him. This was getting far more personal they she had ever wanted it to be. She was like an open book right now, and she knew he was onto her.
"Maybe you need to cool off...."
She huffed out a breath, crouching forward slightly as though preparing to spring at him. That one hit a chord with her, her anger flaring wildly again as she thought about the things she wanted to do to him. She refused to activate her qi though, both because she knew it was a risk to Shayne an she wanted to know if she could take him without it. "Maybe you need to smarten up." She stepped forward, planting her right foot to switch it up and swung her left leg out at his side.

"You better be." He said with a cold tone, not moving an inch. As she came at him to swing her leg up to his side. Extra arms came from his body, his lower right catching the foot at the ankle and gripping tightly, his left extra arm reaching to grab her right arm, his main right arm moving forward as he leaned in to go near her left arm to prevent her from trying to do much with it. His main left hand would clasp around her throat and he'd say, "If you even think of doing anything that would cause damage first know that whatever the FUCK you do in this situation you're hurting Shayne."
He was tempted to use his Qi, "So give me one fucking reason I shouldn't light you up like a Christmas tree for acting out like this just because you can't answer one fucking question."
He let go and turned away, retreating the arms, "If you try to fight me one more time I'll...." He thought about it, "Tell Gale on you." He started to head upstairs to leave.

Sara let out a startled gasp as his extra arms suddenly grew out of his sides. She tried to pull out of the kick, but it was already to late, her momentum preventing her from stopping before he had grabbed her foot. She hopped on her right foot as she tried to keep her balance, using her arms to help her by bringing them in front of her... and right into his grasp. Shit...
The final hand grabbed her neck, squeezing just enough to bring a snake of fear through her. How did she always manage to get herself into these situations!? She glared with as much intensity as she could muster under the circumstances, trying to show him she wasn't afraid when she damn well was.
"If you even think of doing anything that would cause damage first know that whatever the FUCK you do in this situation you're hurting Shayne. So give me one fucking reason I shouldn't light you up like a Christmas tree for acting out like this just because you can't answer one fucking question."
She tried to twist her head away, guilt taking over. She knew it was true, and she had considered it, but to hear him say it made it all the more real. It made her feel stupid and childish as he let her go. With a frustrated growl she turned away from him and slammed her fist once more into the punching bag, trying to get her anger out.
"If you try to fight me one more time I'll.... Tell Gale on you."
She froze. The absurdity of his threat was strangely effective. She turned, a look of shock on her face as he walked towards the stairs. "You wouldn't..." And he thought he could leave? Do you know what that made her? It made her the smaller person. He was mature enough to walk away from her silly fit of anger. It wasn't happening. She was going to be the bigger person.
She shot forward, skirting him to get in front and slammed both hands on his chest and pushed back. "Screw that, you can't leave, because I'M leaving first." She shot up the stairs, arms outstretched to either side so he couldn't pass her as she reached the top of the stairs.

"You wouldn't... Screw that, you can't leave, because I'M leaving first." She said as she pushed him back, shooting up the stairs and making it so he couldn't pass. In fact, from the push he fell back, staring up the stairs at her with his eyes narrowed. He was so completely utterly perturbed with her right now he could just flip... "FATASS!" He yelled up the stairs. Sure it wasn't the best comment, and it didn't make sense all things considered. But then again, she had just used her weight to shove him downstairs... and it worked. . He waited for her reaction as he got up and stared intently at her back. He would win this fight. He would defeat his opponent! I wonder if that comment is going to make her sad o___o....

"FATASS!"
Sara stopped dead in her tracks. Fatass...? Was she fat? Was she already showing that much? She had only put on like 2 pounds... Was he really calling her fat or just being mean? Her mind swam through the idea that he was calling her fat as she turned her head very slowly to look back at him, her eyes wide with absolute shock.
She wasn't fat... She couldn't be... Not yet at least. And if she was, she had every right and reason to be. Her eyes narrowed in disgust as she looked down at him. "You're just weak."
She shot off again, through the door to the main floor and into the kitchen. If he wanted to call her names, she would show him. She opened the cupboard where they kept the snacks and grabbed as much as she cook. Oreo cakesters, granola bars, pudding cups, fruit rollups, bags of candy and a box of fruit loops and tore back to the stairs. Had he made his way up, she would stop in front of him and start scarfing down the food, and if he was still at the bottom, she would stand at the top of the stairs, glaring down at him.
"Fat eh? I'll show you fat! You can't have any!" She pointed dramatically with a fruit rollup before shoving the whole 3 feet of gummy, chewy goodness into her mouth and moving back to the box of fruitloops, small pieces dropping all over the floor around her.
Gale passed behind her and smacked her hard across the back of the head. "Are yeh HUNGRY?! Don't eat those snacks, I'm not shopping for another few days and dinner is in an hour..." She walked away muttering about 'teenagers these days' as Sara glared at her back for a moment, then turned to shove more food into her mouth as she glared at Matrim.
