"You're just weak." Weak? The hell he was weak! He was holding back for her sake! Well, her's and the house's sake. After all he couldn't exactly destroy the house without feeling guilt about it. God forbid anyone still be in it when it went down. It was definitely a problem he had to deal with... in fact maybe he shouldn't chase her up the stairs, after all, how bad could this ge- wait... where'd she go?
Matrim ran up the stairs and saw her in front of him once he got up, scarfing down a whole bunch of junk food. It was... quite horrendous to see her do this. It was like watching her go crazy in slow motion, this really didn't bode well for him... at all.
"Fat eh? I'll show you fat! You can't have any!" She yelled out, pointing dramatically. She had shoved all kinds of stuff into her mouth, fruity gummy stuff included. The floor was getting really messy. And then Gale came in with a slap to the back of the head from behind.
Ten points.
"Are yeh HUNGRY?! Don't eat those snacks, I'm not shopping for another few days and dinner is in an hour..."
Matrim stared at her and just watched, without showing emotion in his face. He would smile slowly and then say, "I don't know what's scarier, the fact that you're so crazy you're doing this, or the fact that you're so crazy you're doing this and you're about to get a sugar rush on top of all that...."[/i]
He would walk past her slowly, whistling to himself as he made himself a glass of milk, "And save some for Shayne, you wouldn't want to eat all the good stuff. It'd break his poor little heart, especially with him able to actually chew stuff now. After all wouldn't it be sad if his pudgy little arms reached up as he said 'gimme' only to have nothing to be given to him from you?"
Oh yeah, play the guilt game, Matrim, PLAY IT!

"I don't know what's scarier, the fact that you're so crazy you're doing this, or the fact that you're so crazy you're doing this and you're about to get a sugar rush on top of all that...."
Sara slowed, her eyes narrowing in suspicion as he spoke, chewing the gummy, crumbly mass in her mouth very slowly and shifting the food in her arms. Oddly, she leaned away as though he might steal it from her. She hadn't thought of the sugar rush... Or what this would do to a baby... Probably not her smartest course of action, BUT DAMMIT! She was making a point here.
"I'm noh craazie..." A small drop of colored drool ran down her chin as she tried to get the words out and she turned away, rubbing her face along her forearm in embarrassment. It was actually quite difficult to do this with all the crap in her arms and she ended dropping a couple packages of candy.
"And save some for Shayne, you wouldn't want to eat all the good stuff. It'd break his poor little heart, especially with him able to actually chew stuff now. After all wouldn't it be sad if his pudgy little arms reached up as he said 'gimme' only to have nothing to be given to him from you?"
... She froze, her eyes wide as she pictured the scene. Matrim had done it, he had played on her weakness for his damn demon offspring.
That wasn't a nice thought... TT.TT Just because she was mad at Matrim, didn't mean Shayne was a demon. There was nothing to say he had inherited his fathers dark demon soul. She shifted the bulk of the items in her arms as she walked into the kitchen, calm as could be, still chewing the food in her mouth. Once she had shifted everything, a single pack of cookies still one of her hands, she drew back her arm and whipped the package at his head, then reached out to steal his glass and chug the milk down with a satisfied lip smack as she moved back to the cupboard and starting piling crap back in.
As she finished putting away the last of it, and finally swallowed down the food, she spoke, keeping her back to him. "I'm not ready to talk about it yet. I'm sorry." Then she spun. "But that doesn't mean you're off the hook!" She pointed again at him. Exactly what he was on the hook for? She wasn't completely sure yet...

"I'm noh craazie..."
The drool begs to differ...
He kept his mouth shut though and simply watched as the guilt trip started to work, slowly but surely she started to put stuff up, only to have something chucked at his head. He reached up and caught it without breaking a sweat. She reached to grab and chug his milk down as he began eating the cookies she tossed his way, "Not like we don't have more...."
"I'm not ready to talk about it yet. I'm sorry. But that doesn't mean you're off the hook!"
Off what hook? ... better not ask that...
"Sure thing, just whenever you're ready to talk about it. In the mean time we have more free time to do cool stuff like play games, play with Shayne, and train. You know, once I'm allowed to and all..." <_< "So that's a good thing right?"

"So that's a good thing right?"
She had turned away at the mention of training. She would be doing no more training in her condition. Or at least certain types of training. It was going to kill her. She would get out shape, lose muscle mass and flexibility, and a bunch of other crap. And once the baby born, she would have to try to get it all back. And that would take FOREVERRRR D:
DAMMIT! She mentally berated herself for getting into this position. Now came the issue of how to get around the training issue until she could figure out what she was going to do. "Ya... Right. You're damn well going to be taking a nice long break until that fist is healed up completely." She turned back, crossing her arms over her chest, the gesture telling him that she wasn't budging on the issue.
"I don't know how much training I'll be doing though... Kinda... Moving on to bigger, better things." She smiled smugly in an attempt to make it seem like it wasn't a big deal, and then moved to walk out of the kitchen. "Like shoes... Mmm... I love shoes..." Bullshit, but it was a nice attempt at explaining why fighting would no longer hold an interest for her.

Hehe... so been training when she wasn't paying attention... hehehe... SO HA HA!
"I don't know how much training I'll be doing though... Kinda... Moving on to bigger, better things. Like shoes... Mmm... I love shoes..."
"Shoes..." He said to himself as his hand went up to his face. Almost in face palm manner as he thought of the ridiculous cover. It was obviously something that wasn't truthful. After all, there's no logical reason why shoes and fighting couldn't go together. After all, there were different types of shoes you could fight in, boots, platforms, trainers, even fashionable ones. Heels could be used well in a fight.... if you didn't have to run a lot...
"Right... gotcha... ask you no questions and you'll tell me no lies," He said to himself as he watched her leave, he didn't have any clue where he was going, but he'd follow her until she went somewhere that he couldn't follow, for instance the bathroom.
Wonder what Shayne's up to... and did Gale say that we'd get to eat soon?

"Shoes... Right... gotcha... ask you no questions and you'll tell me no lies."
"You got it~" She pursed her lips, ignoring him as she past him and moved into the living room. That was probably the stupidest lie she had ever told, but really? It would actually buy her some time when she started looking for new clothes and stuff. It wouldn't be more then a month or so and she'd have to move to baggier shirts...
She came to a stop, her eyes glazing over as she stared at the ceiling. That was so strange. Pretty much, that answered her question of what she was going to do. She would keep it. She couldn't... get rid of it, and the simple fact that her mind was already making plans was a sign that it was what she wanted.
She still wasn't going to tell Matrim though... >3> Not yet at least... God, what would he think? Why was it, that after all this time, and with Shayne, she was still afraid he would turn her away for this. And her parents... What would they think? It was probably a good time to make a trip to go see them.
She started to tidy the living room, picking up Shayne's toys and dropping them into the corner where his play pen was. "I was thinking of taking a trip to Canada to see my parents. It's been a while and I haven't even told them I'm married yet. It might be time for me to go visit them... Maybe in a couple months..." She watched him out the corner of her eye as she fluffed the pillows on the couch, waiting for his reaction.

"I was thinking of taking a trip to Canada to see my parents. It's been a while and I haven't even told them I'm married yet. It might be time for me to go visit them... Maybe in a couple months..."
"You know that's probably a good idea," He said, "You might not want to wear anything low cut though... unless you're going to tell them about the scar and stuff. Sometimes, people who aren't used to hearing about these abilities... and the fact it's proof I touched there daughter... and yeah. In any case, I'd like to meet them you know? Should I go with? Or do you think that'd be a bit overkill to show up at home with a husband and a son?"
He was of course referring to Shayne. Even if she told her parents the truth about him, the fact was that Shayne was her son. Even if she didn't give birth to him, he could tell that she was Shayne's mother. He loved her, and Matrim. He watched her clean up a bit, leaning against the wall nearby, his arms crossed over his chest and one leg crossing over the other as he leaned his head against the wall, "How do you think they'll react?"
He wondered what sort of people her parents were, "I mean, to everything. All the moving around, living with me and marrying me, practically being daughter to some washed up old-" Matrim got smacked in the back of the head, "Dog that we keep in the back yard." Gale went along her way again as Matrim rubbed the back of his head, "But in all seriousness, how do you think they'll react?"

"In any case, I'd like to meet them you know? Should I go with? Or do you think that'd be a bit overkill to show up at home with a husband and a son?"
She closed her eyes, her back to him so that he wouldn't see. She knew that was coming. She had hoped he would have gotten the hint with the whole, 'I haven't told them thing', but apparently not. Well, if she was going to hurt him to lie to him, why not take this as far as she needed to. "As much as I'd love to show off Shayne... And you..." She met his eyes this time, the fact that she was telling the truth absolutely clear in them, "I don't think it'd be a good idea..."
The sight of him, leaning against the wall, looking so... Perfect... Had tears nearly coming to her eyes. How could she do this to him?! How could she be lying? What the hell was she so afraid of?
"How do you think they'll react?"
Oh god, they were going to KILL her. Absolutely MURDER her.
"I mean, to everything. All the moving around, living with me and marrying me, practically being daughter to some washed up old- Dog that we keep in the back yard."
A smile touched Sara's lips as she watched Gale pass through the room. How the hell could she be so stupid as to even think to leave this place...?
"But in all seriousness, how do you think they'll react?"
"They're..." She chewed her bottom lip as she surveyed the living room, making sure it was as clean as she wanted it to be. "Very religious people." That right there would tell him everything. "So unless I lie about when we got married, I essentially had a kid out of wedlock, got married without telling them, had been living with you for HOW long before that?" She turned her eyes back to him. "And don't even get me started on how their going to react to the whole super power thing... At this point... I don't even know they'll open the door to me." She scratched the back of her head. "To top it off, I left my uncles home without telling them anything at all. That was a big blow..."
She nodded and moved back into the kitchen, and started to clean in there, picking up all the fruit loops she had dropped. "So pretty much... I'm screwed. I'd prefer to go it alone..."

"Fair enough," He said, thinking about it. There really was nobody in his family for her to meet. The only ones were really the Awren's. They were his family now, his two brothers and his sister. He would introduce Sara to them once he found out where all of them were. The only one he really knew about was Aternity. He had been around skulking somewhere. Bugger needed to get himself fixed up, and quick.
"In any case, I'm gonna go take a nap hun, if you want you should join me. Going to play some Sigur Ros or something, close the drapes and just rest under a thin blanket on the bed. Kinda could use it you know?" It's funny, had this been even a year back... Matrim would have been drinking, not taking naps. He would have been finding somewhere to fight to unwind. Seriously fight, not just some couples spat. And now he knew not to fight everywhere all the time.
It was irresponsible. It was stupid, reckless, and dishonorable. Though he had a bit more honor to him, as well as respect, what had mostly changed was his responsibility. That was what had hit him hard. Maybe it was Shayne, maybe it was sobering up, who knew. Either way he was more likely to take a nap than go out drinking.
He'd head up once she gave an answer, and do pretty much exactly what he said he would. If she joined him, he'd probably cuddle her and pet her hair until he drifted off.
