Both blows landed, but were met with barely any acknowledgment. Her punch to his abdomen hit pure muscle, more hurting her fist then it hurt him. The palm to the chin managed to tilt his head back, but the reaction was not what she had been hoping for. In fact, he was barely fazed by it. She could tell he was trying to use his qi on her, but with her own qi activated, it did nothing. The smoke was swept up and blown away. It was still sort of distracting though to have the mist of smoke form around her. The green was now pretty much gray, and it was clouding her vision. But hell, the smoke was clouding everyone's vision.
Gritting her teeth in anger and frustration, she pulled away from him, stepping back just in time to miss the headbutt. She swore under her breath, glad to have missed it. She trusted when Matrim said something like 'don't get hit'. What she hadn't counted on, oddly, was the charge. She really should have seen that one coming and mentally berated herself for not doing so. She was underestimating him, and it cost her.
His shoulder slammed into her abdomen and he carried her a few feet before stopping. The sheer strength and force launched her down the hall, sliding along the floor until she came to a stop away from everyone else. Not extremely far, but enough to give her a basic idea exactly how strong the guy was. Her arms wrapped around her abdomen, a snake of fear shooting through her. But there was only a dull ache as she pushed to her feet, determined not to get hit again. She pushed to her feet, trying to mask the pain and shock. "That it? Man, you STILL suck!" That;s right, egg him on and then dodge everything... Don't take another hit.

The four arms thing wasn't something she had counted on. It was... gross. He was like a bug or something... That was fine, she could just burn his arms off. The smile that touched her lips at that thought was sick, crazy looking. There was no reason to be concerned about anything, even as his hands burst into flames. She was hotter then fire, it would take far longer for fire to do to that kid what she had done to him. Matrim's fire didn't scare her.
He charged her, faster then her of course, but not extremely so. She brought her arms up in front of her in an X to block, not completely sure what he was going to do, but confident in her heat that this would end up just fine. His fist met the center of her crossed arms and would be burnt (cha vs. cha). With a wicked laugh as he pulled away she dropped her arms, throwing her head back. Her arms strung from where he had hit her, but nothing major.
Calming herself down, she stalked towards him, her hands outstretched, reaching to him. "Come here Matrim... Come on Matty, don't be scared..." She threw herself at him, arms outstretched to wrap around him and burn him to ash.

"Come here Matrim... Come on Matty, don't be scared..." "Fuck off," He said as he leapt back a bit, bringing that burnt hand up and examining it in his others. He looked up to see her coming toward him with arms outstretched. He smashed the back of his fist against the lockers, grabbing a hold of the door he ripped it off and swung it around to slam it across her face, hopefully send her packing. If that didn't work he didn't know what he would end up doing. Shit...He needed to get to his staff, which was in his locker, closer to Sara than him, and he wasn't exactly going to be able to send her a message psychically. He turned to see her further down the hall. He would back away from Carolyn if necessary, making his way closer to something he could hit her with, maybe a chair or a desk. Or maybe even.... He ended his Qi, and reached over, spotting it as he tore it off the wall, the fire extinguisher, he would aim to slam it down on top of her skull. Heh... sent her flyin'. That's what she gets..."That it? Man, you STILL suck!""Big talk for someone so small," He said, making his way toward her as he cracked his knuckles, he would try to pick up whatever speed he could as he started running, kicking off as hard as he could, his hands open with his palms ready to do some work. He would attempt to thrust his left palm toward her abdomen in a diving lunge of sorts. Maybe I'll get lucky and get in a hit here....
The first one of the two would be near Matrim. As he came up the stairs, he'd head toward him and Carolyn, almost immediately taking form. Once in the air, there was no stopping what happened next. He grabbed a locked door and swung it around. It hit home, slamming into the side of her head. She let out a scream of pain and anger as she flew off to the side, hitting the ground and sliding until she slammed into the lockers on the other side of the hall. She clawed at her face, screaming as she wiped melted metal from her skin. She was breathing heavily, her eyes wide with pain as she gave up, pushing to her knees. The metal wasn't all gone, but it was now bearable. Just barely, but she would live. That asshole burned her again. AGAIN!
Her eyes focused on him as he tore the fire extinguisher off the wall. She had to fight to keep the smile off her face. He wasn't very smart was he? She feigned being dazed as she watched him come up to her, holding the fire extinguisher above her, and then slam it down...
"Big talk for someone so small."
She practically growled at him as he came closer, cracking his knuckles. She wasn't small... Jack ass... She backed away slowly, arms in front of her defensively. She could feel the burst was ready, it was just a matter of waiting for that perfect moment.
He started to run at her and she froze. She wasn't exactly sure what he was doing or planning, and she knew she was fast enough to wait to find out. He suddenly threw himself at her, diving into a lunge. She smiled, this was easy enough. She sidestepped to her left, bringing her right up and slamming it down as he flew past her, just in time to hit him in the back and use her qi to burst him into the floor. Had it worked, she would back away when suddenly there was a huge explosion behind her.
As Matrim slammed the fire extinguisher downwards, Carolyn did smile, closing her eyes as though relieved. She was ready for the pain if it meant showing him his stupidity. The fire extinguisher exploded above her. The explosion itself didn't hurt her. Her qi was hotter then fire to begin with, the heat did nothing. The force of the explosion knocked her back into the lockers again, her back slamming into as she slumped to the floor. Pieces of metal cut through her skin, but most metal on contact, burning her more then cutting. Her only consolation as she wiped more liquid metal off her skin, whimpering in pain, was that Matrim would have been hurt to.
Sara turned back, her eyes wide with shock. Matrim though, seemed to be alive. She let out a breath of relief as she scanned the area to see what had happened. Instead, her eyes fell on the person who had just entered. It was... Matrim? It looked like Matrim, except the hair was different, and that eye patch... Matrim had had one like that when they had first met. "Who the hell...?" Matrim had a brother or something...? Her back was wide open, but she really didn't care as a second person came through the stairs between the two groups who were fighting.
The second figure took the form of a girl. Sara stared in shock as it looked at her. It was her eyes, but somehow more intense. The person was taller, fuller in their body shape, more feminine. Still though, it was unmistakably Sara. The figure wore track pants and a sports bra. Although it was obviously supposed to be Sara, the being had no scars on her. Not one. Immediately Sara knew what this thing was. It was what she wanted to be. Sara took a frightened step back as the figure smile.

The shadow Matrim stepped in front of the real one, laughing down at him. "So pathetic. Look at you, what the hell did you do to yourself? Really let yourself get soft and weak didn't you?"

All he remembered was the explosion happening. Nothing before it. Everything went foggy, he knew what it had meant. It meant he in that moment didn't care what happened to himself, it meant that he forgot for a second that he wasn't the same person. The old him? Would have come out of that without a single scratch to show for it. But he was blooded, broken, burnt, bruised, cut, sliced, blown apart. Hell, flesh was missing off of parts of his arm and face. He thought he could feel a cheek bone.
"So pathetic. Look at you, what the hell did you do to yourself? Really let yourself get soft and weak didn't you?"
Matrim looked up and saw... himself? It was him from Point Hope, there's no mistake about that. The him from before his mind split, before he became Alpha Beta Omega for the first time. It was the original complete version of Matrim. No... this wasn't Point Hope Matrim at all, this was Paragon Matrim, fully grown.
The hell....
He reached into a hidden pocket of his jacket, pulling out a needle and stabbing it into himself as he let out a hiss, pumping the experimental drug into himself. Healing his wounds (+10 con, -5 strength). He hated to waste it, but it was definitely the time to do it. In seconds he felt the effects as his wounds healed and he stepped up almost perfect. Completely healed.
"Oh I don't know, I guess I'm just a little rusty. Better than you though..." He said to himself as he grinned up at his former self.
Wonder if this is gonna turn fight.... I hope it does....
He would see what shape Carolyn was in with the corner of his eye, he knew that she'd probably be just steps away from killing if he had to, and that just made everything all the better. And then he used his abilities of his item, scanning his old self.
SHIT! It's 20,000....

After being bursted into the floor and getting to his feet again Geoff didn't attack. He watched the explosion same as Sara and as soon as he saw Carolyn slump down and the Shadowman and Shadowwoman arrive to fight, he knew this was his time to try and get Carolyn. He would attempt to run past Sara once more having been knocked down by her so easily earlier he would try to go around her as much as possible. If successful he'd run to go check up on Carolyn, if she was too badly injured he'd try to carry her out to safety while the battle went on.
"Hi! It's been a long time I guess huh?" The shadow said as she approached slowly, eyeing the girl. She definitely was a bit different, "You know, you really shouldn't have gone with Matrim in the end. I'm telling you I didn't, and I'm so much better for it. Not to mention, the big burn mark on the chest? Sort of gives all the other guys a heads up that you might be taken. It's so much easier for me this way. Besides, Matrim really cramps your training. I'm stronger for it too. Do you wanna see?"
She flashed that smile of hers with a hand going on her hip, she was definitely looking at a golden opportunity here. She would take off for Sara, running at an angle so she walked up the lockers, onto the roof, across to the other side, coming around she would throw her left hand forward and emit a burst from it to try and slam the real Sara into the lockers to her right.

Carolyn was smiling. It was hard to tell, but she was as she watched the shadow advancing on Matrim. Even when Matrim stood up, nearly healed, she laughed. There was no way to beat the shadows. They were everything you wanted to be. They were perfect. How could you beat that? Her head tilted to the side when she heard Geoff whispering to her, practically cooing to her.
"End your qi, let's get out of here baby, common." She did as he asked, the heat suddenly disappearing. Geoff moved forward, scooping her up in his arms as though she weighed nothing. They passed Clyde on their way to the stairs. Geoff sent him a glance. "Sorry man. I'm going to try to come back for you, but... You know how it is..." Carolyn laughed wickedly as Geoff pushed through the door to the stairs, leaving Clyde where he was.
Sara was to busy thinking of how to deal with herself to worry to much about Matrim. She did spare a few glances over and let out a breath she hadn't realized she had been holding when she saw his wounds healing. She couldn't fight like this. She couldn't. Not when she had worry about Matrim, no matter how strong he was, she still worried. And not when she had to watch every move because of the baby. With Matrim healed out of the way, she could try to focus solely on this person in front of her. Geoff snuck past her and although the thought of stopping him crossed her mind, she obviously had bigger things to deal with.
"Hi! It's been a long time I guess huh?"
"Shut up..." Sara didn't like the way she was eying her, as though she was pathetic and weak.
"You know, you really shouldn't have gone with Matrim in the end.
The tone of voice, the words, the way she held herself. This woman was completely sane. This was who Sara dreamed of being. The confidence, the beauty, the sanity. Sara gave her head a shake, her composure cracking. "I said shut up..." What did she know... Marim was... The best thing to happen to her... Right...? A hand fell to her stomach. Right!? There were times when she missed the carefree lifestyle she had. Men actually had flocked to her. She had had guys climbing over each other. Now... No one gave her a second glance. And they never would again after she had the kid. But it was because of Matrim that she had gotten so strong. That was where this person was wrong.
... Right...?
The girl suddenly took off, her speed faster then Sara's. And... The shoes... The shadow woman ran up the wall and across the ceiling. this girl really was everything Sara wanted to be, had everything Sara wanted to have. Why the hell was this happening? She reached the ground again, this time closer to Sara and flicked her hand. Sara's eyes went wide, but it was to late. The burst slammed into her and she was thrown back into the lockers behind her, her back slamming into them, denting them as she slouched to the ground, coughing.

The shadow Matrim watched with interest, ignoring what was going on behind him as Matrim stuck a needle in himself. In seconds, his wounds began to heal. That was interesting wasn't it? But it wasn't going to save him. The shadow person chuckled, arms across his chest.
"Oh I don't know, I guess I'm just a little rusty. Better than you though..."
"Oh really now? Let me tell you something. Having a kid and getting married... Made you weak. Made you vulnerable. It was best to have left your relationship with that little whore stay as a one night stand. I did. And look at me." Heh... The look on Matrims face told the shadow he just did. "That's right. I'm stronger. A lot stronger. She made you weak. The kid made you weak. You used to be fun man. Now you're all about the rules and shit... So fucking pathetic."
He slammed a fist forward into an uppercut into Matrim's abdomen, and if it connected, he would try to pin Matrim between his fist and the lockers behind him. "Go ahead and use your qi. There's no one else in the building. When the hell did you start caring about shit like that anyways? Use it. I'll show you just how weak you've gotten." Had he been pinned, the shadow would throw his head down in a head butt then step back, laughing at Matrim.
Sara pushed to her feet, shaking with anger and embarrassment. In a rash move, she stepped forward, aiming to throw a fist up into the shadows chin. If it connected, her jacket would zap the shadow, stunning it.

"Oh really now? Let me tell you something. Having a kid and getting married... Made you weak. Made you vulnerable. It was best to have left your relationship with that little whore stay as a one night stand. I did. And look at me."
"Yeah, just as weak and naive as ever..." Matrim said as he grinned, he liked this, from the looks of things they were representing a version of themselves that they romanticized at one point or another. Matrim could deal with that since he hardly every wanted to be perfect. A fist connected with his stomach, pinning him to the lockers.
"That's right. I'm stronger. A lot stronger. She made you weak. The kid made you weak. You used to be fun man. Now you're all about the rules and shit... So fucking pathetic."
"There weren't rules in 650, so I'll forgive your ignorance. But that's not how the world works. There are some rules that can't be broken or else you're nothing."
"Go ahead and use your qi. There's no one else in the building. When the hell did you start caring about shit like that anyways? Use it. I'll show you just how weak you've gotten."
"Umpf!" He let out as a headbutt collided with his head. He slumped down a bit, reaching out to keep himself up against the lockers.
Shit....
The Qi attack had worked perfectly, knocking Sara into the lockers and even a bit extra. She giggled a bit as she watched the girl get up, she was shaking so bad, must have been the fear that did that. She came forward throwing a fist, "As if," She said bringing her hand up to catch the punch, only to find herself zapped electrocuted and suddenly paralyzed.
This wasn't... what is this? There wasn't information... the files didn't mention anything.... even in her mind it doesn't recall any....
Eyes a bit more intense she stared without the ability to move.

"Sorry man. I'm going to try to come back for you, but... You know how it is..."
"Feck... you..." He thought about it, he weighed maybe a lousy ten pounds at most in comparison to what this guy did, and would it really kill him to sling him over his shoulders while carrying out the other girl? In the meantime he had to worry about Sara one and Sara two blowing the building apart and the original Matrim burning it down faster... as it was the place would come down almost any minute.
He turned his head to watch the fight, his teeth clenching in pain as he saw Matrim start to do something.
There he goes doin somethin reckless... he's gonna bring the whole feckin buildin down on us....
"You really are sad and pathetic...." Matrim said, "Have you already forgotten?" Matrim laughed harder and harder as he looked up, blood trailing down his mouth from the punch to the gut and some from his head due to the headbutt. "Before the end of the fight, you'll remember the mistake you just made...."
Matrim burst into flames, his entire body this time. Reaching back he managed to grab a locker door. He couldn't hit this Matrim if he used his Qi, but what he could do was smash him with objects while his natural strength was increased by his Qi. That would hit with the same force without being blocked. It was a good thing, knowing your own weaknesses and being able to exploit them. It was a shame he probably would not remember the fatal flaw he made in challenging Matrim as he was now.

"As if..."
For a moment, everything seemed to freeze. Sara continued to stare at the lockers behind the girl, her fist caught in by the girls grip. They remained like that for a moment, neither moving a single inch. Suddenly, Sara seemed to come back to herself, blinking, realizing something was up. Moving only her eyes, Sara turned her gaze on the shadow person. Their eyes met and still neither moved for another moment.
Sara finally broke the stillness, pulling her fist from the girls grasp and stepping back, her arms falling limply at her sides. What the hell was this...? Slowly, Sara's smile touched her lips, her eyes suddenly going blank and thoughtful. She looked past the girl, refusing now to make eye contact with her as she chuckled sickly. "What seems to be the problem...?"
Sara began to circle the girl slowly. "Cat got your tongue...?" The transition had been as smooth as butter. There was one weakness here that Sara hadn't thought of until this point. Sane Sara, was a hell of a lot more predictable then crazy Sara. Slowly, she circled and laughed.

Shadow Matrim stepped away from the original, hands on his hips and a pleased smile on his face as Matrim slumped, holding himself against the lockers behind him. This was going to be far to easy.
"You really are sad and pathetic.... Have you already forgotten?"
The shadow tilted his head in confusion. What was he talking about? What could make someone laugh like this in the face of defeat? What had he missed in the notes? There was nothing. The shadow's face hardened with annoyance. He had missed nothing, Matrim was just bluffing.
"Before the end of the fight, you'll remember the mistake you just made...."
He had to be bluffing. The shadow fisted his hands at his sides and tried to muster a cocky smile as Matrim burst into flame. It was time to get this started. He reached up and pulled off the eye patch and activated the qi. He blinked quickly, focusing, just as Matrim pulled the locker door off the hinges.
The shadows eyes went wide. Oh. Well maybe he wasn't bluffing.

Sara smiled once more as she circled the girl, looking just past her even when she was at her back. There was just something that bothered Sara about looking at people when she was like this. It was just easier not to. And oh, the things she was going to do to her...
Sara reached the girls front again. Whatever had caused the stun was no interest of Sara's. It had happened and she was going to make the best of it. Simple as that. The first thing Sara did was slam her fist into the girls gut making her double over. She might be stunned, but that only meant she had no control over her muscles. Sara could move her however she pleased. Following the punch to the gut, Sara grabbed the girls hair and pulled, slamming her head into the lockers behind her and letting the girl drop to the ground.
A nice kick followed, slamming into the girls side. Sara laughed happily... And crazily. The sound was sickening. It was obvious there was something wrong with the small girl. "See, here the problem. You're what SHE wants... Me on the other hand... I'm perfectly happy. No, you know what? I could go for another couple scars... That man is PERFECT for us!" She cackled again as she dropped down so she was straddling the girl with her back on the ground. She ran a hand slowly down her cheek. "Don't worry... I won't make it hurt for to long..."
The locker door swung around to slam into the shadow. He threw his arm up to take the hit against his forearm. It stung like a bitch and he was forced back a few steps. "Maybe I didn't give you enough credit... Don't think this changes anything though..." He had an idea though. "Common then... try to hit me again... Pussy..."
As soon as he made the movement to even bring the door up, the shadow stepped back to beat the doors swing down. If it missed, it would be an easy target for the plan. Both hands would come up, grabbing either end of the locker as he tried to step forward, pushing back against it to slam it into Matrim's chest and pin him between the door and the locker.
Sara leaned down, nipping at the shadows chin lightly, nuzzling against its face with her nose to turn its head to the side, exposing its neck. With a laugh, she bit the shadow, breaking skin as blood poured from its neck. Sara threw her head back with laughter as her hand absentmindedly moved to the neck, now slick with blood and gripped down. "Won't be long now..."

"What seems to be the problem...? Cat got your tongue...?"
Shit...
The girl circled her before pounding her in the stomach, causing her to double over. A large amount of pain and sickness coming to her, she could only breath heavily through her nose as her eyes shouted out in pain, going wide as tears started to pour from them. Then she was pulled by her hair and slammed into the lockers. Her body collapsing only to have a kick connect with her, causing her to lose her breath as more tears flooded her eyes, causing her to have trouble seeing.
"See, here the problem. You're what SHE wants... Me on the other hand... I'm perfectly happy. No, you know what? I could go for another couple scars... That man is PERFECT for us!"
The girl straddled her, she wasn't able to move or do anything really but watch as best as she could as Sara did with her whatever she pleased. This wasn't right, she was supposed to be the stronger of the two, what was happening? "Don't worry... I won't make it hurt for to long..."
When he connected with him he was pretty satisfied, but he knew that this fight wouldn't be won on a few hits. If he knew his old self, this fight was going to be him trying to outlast his opponent. Not to mention trying to do anything he could to wrestle his opponent down. Which meant watch the ankles, he didn't wanna get put in an ankle lock. And he definitely didn't want to be put in any kind of choke hold.
Good thing I got four arms and you don't....
"Maybe I didn't give you enough credit... Don't think this changes anything though... Common then... try to hit me again... Pussy..."
"Fine," Matrim said as he would swing the door down, his other self pulled back and he quickly watched and reacted. He was a little predictable, so he pulled his door back. Great thing about knowing yourself, he always knew that he loved beating an enemy with their own weapon, and he loved making them submit. Next step was just watching his other self try and move forward, he would spin around to dodge the attack, and swing the door around to smack his other self in the back to put them against the wall.
NOW!
One other weakness of the armor. If someone grabbed him with modified Qi, he wouldn't feel the pressure of it, but they could still move him around if they were stronger than him. Matrim's upper arms would grab the Shadow's wrists and pin them up high against the lockers. Having let go of the locker door, his lower arms would come up, one going over his mouth, and the other over his nose to asphyxiate the air and pin him, bear hugging him with the elbows of his lower arms to make sure he didn't separate from him.
And now I just have to outlast him....
She felt her being nipped at, and then bitten. A jolt running through her body as she cried, and a hand grasped around her neck as she bled, then finally she could move again, her mouth opening, "Please! Please! Stop! Don't, please! I BEG YOU STOP! PLEASE DON'T DO THIS!" She was wasting breath, her legs kicking out, trying to grip ground and managing to, but it wasn't doing anything good. Worst case scenario she slid them a few feet forward. Her hands came up to grab at the original Sara's, gripping down and attempting to pull them away, but it didn't matter, she had a grip, and what was coming next would most likely end this fight.
Shit... how could I have lost..... how?
0/2 posts, she can now burst.

"Please! Please! Stop! Don't, please! I BEG YOU STOP! PLEASE DON'T DO THIS!"
Sara only grinned. "Shhh... Don't be scared, I promise it'll be over soon..." Her free hand gently stroked a finger down her cheek as though trying to comfort her. With fire all around her, the school burning down, what came next was only natural. Her grip was tight around the shadows neck, but still her forced her hand to squeeze tighter, this time putting both hands on the girls neck and lifting off her knees so that all the weight went on the girls throat. And she burst. The loud booming noise filled the area, but there was something different. The burst, was not only air, but fire.
The locker door swung out again and the shadow narrowly managed to avoid it. Perfect, now the next part... When he moved to go forward, Matrim spun, swinging the locker around before the shadow could get a hold of it. With his momentum moving forward, the locker slamming into his back was worse then it should have been. The shadow went face first into the locker, now pinned between Matrim and the warm metal.
The shadow braced his hands on the locker, meaning to push off it, but Matrim grabbed a hold of his hands before he could, lifting them above his head, leaving him very little in the way of momentum to push off of them. "Tch..." How could he have let himself get into this one. Not that it would do him any good. What was he going to do, stand there until the shadow gave up? He had only managed to put them in a stalemate. The flames wouldn't hurt him and he had nothing to use. He could headbutt him sure, but the shadow was damn sure that he could still outlast Matrim.
And then, the worst happened. Another set of arms wrapped around him, one flaming hand going over his mouth, the other over his nose. His oxygen was immediately cut off, smoke filling his lungs. He tried to cough against the hands as his eyes went wide and he began to wiggle, trying to twist from Matrim's grasp. Shit! I can't lose! Not like this!
Sara let out an excited squeal of delight as the flamed swirled around her, more flames dancing over the ground from her burst before dying out. Her vision was tinged with reds and oranges now as the wind that normally circled her was replaced with fire. Oh the things she learned! Amazing!
She pushed off the shadow and quickly spun around, pulling the shoes off the girls feet. "Mine now! It's like Christmas!" Quickly, she shoved off her own shoes, and pulled the new ones on, pushing to her feet to test out the grip by dancing around the shadows body. Oh this really was amazing!

The shadow Matrim slowly stopped struggling, his vision going dark until he went limp in Matrim's grasp. If he didn't let go, then the armor would break, his back suddenly burning and blistering and the wounds came to the surface, the armour no longer protecting him from Matrim's flames. How could he have lost... This didn't make any sense... It was impossible...

The shadow struggled for breath, but didn't get any, her chest burned, and she wasn't sure if that was the heat or the fact that she was suffocating, she could feel herself letting go... it was really over, her existence. It hadn't been long, and now it was already coming to an end. But what came after? What came after existence for a shadow? They never told her...
"Shhh... Don't be scared, I promise it'll be over soon..." And then there was a second hand, and then weight. The weight collapsed her airway completely, and she was gargling up spit trying to breath her hand going up, trying to hit the girl, and then towards the end she was just reaching out to touch her, her hand going along her face gently, and then the burst came. And it felt as though she had swallowed fire into her body. Her throat collapsed, everything went dark, and everything was burnt. The little air that made it's way in was smoke, everything went dark.
Nothing comes after... not for a shadow. Her hands fell limp on either side, and her life, her existence was no more.
Matrim had him, and as soon as he started struggling, he knew it was over. He was stronger than him, and he had successfully pinned him, "Alex Hikari, Paragon, dumbass. Direct Qi can't hurt you, indirect can. The smoke is a product of my Qi, but it in itself is not Qi. Not to mention, I can suffocate the air around you without technically touching your skin. God forbid you open your mouth and I get my hand in there."
He would hold even as he went limp, and when the shield broke, when he noticed the smell of burning flesh, he would clasp down on the nose and mouth, "It's nothing personal... just that you tried to kill me, and the person you work for tried to kill me and my wife. So it ends like this, right here, and right now. I don't care if you're really a version of me, or a person pretending to be me. You made your own fate. Go quietly and respectfully."
Once the shadow was dead he would drop the body and leave it, ending his Qi, he would then walk over to Clyde, who was left behind, bend down on a knee and raise his face up, "Where are they going?" He would ask sternly as he would turn to see Sara dancing around hers' body. He knew his Sara apart from the other one any day. "If you tell me, I won't kill you right now. Help me even more, and I won't kill you ever. Fight alongside me, and I'll never leave you for dead, and you'll get your revenge on Geoff for leaving you."

Sara turned back to check on Matrim after testing out the shoes. Ya, she was more worried about the shoes. How bad was that? With a huge grin on her face, she turned her attention back to her husband, hoping she might be able to jump in an save him, only to see that he had successfully beaten his own shadow. She pursed her lips in disappointment as she watched him to talk to Clyde.
The fact that he was still here brought a smile back to her face. They had left him behind. How pathetic. So sad. Maybe she should take him out quickly, end his suffering that he called his pathetic existence. Sara was going to be pretty messed up. Her only consolation was that this would seem like a dream, the full effect of having killed herself not quite hitting her completely. That's what she was here for. To deal with the tough stuff.
With a new purpose, she skipped off down the hall to Matrim, twirling and dancing as she tried to get used to the grip of the shoes. Twirling apparently didn't quite work when your shoes stuck to the floor like glue. The fire still swirled slowly around her, not burning her but warming her.
Clyde watched Matrim approach him, fear bubbling up inside him. He tried to roll away but it hurt to much, a small whimper of fear and anger bubbling from his slack jaw. Matrim lifted his face and Clyde was sure this was the end.
"Where are they going? If you tell me, I won't kill you right now. Help me even more, and I won't kill you ever. Fight alongside me, and I'll never leave you for dead, and you'll get your revenge on Geoff for leaving you."
Clyde was silent for a moment, his breathing heavy and labored. "You'd really do that?" Clyde wasn't exactly a loyal man. His loyalties lay with the person who currently offered the best deal. Under the circumstances, Matrim's seemed to be the best with his life on the line and the thought of revenge. "I'll show you, but you gotta take me with you. Don't worry about where they're going yet, worry about the other one first. Masters. They've gone for him."
Sara stepped up next to Matrim, unaware of what they'd be talking about. She ignored Clyde for the most part, more concerned about showing off to Matrim. "Look what I can do." She ran a hand close to his face, the flames licking at his skin as she giggled with excitement. "I could so kick your ass..." She knelt down next to Matrim looking at Clyde. "Can I play with him now?" She reached out to touch him, to burn him.

"You'd really do that? I'll show you, but you gotta take me with you. Don't worry about where they're going yet, worry about the other one first. Masters. They've gone for him." The guy said, and Matrim nodded, it made sense to go after Zeek. After all he was the one who finished off her father, and he helped with burning the place down. Carolyn would want revenge on him the most. Him and Sara for nearly killing her.
"Look what I can do. I could so kick your ass... Can I play with him now?"
"Damnit why is everyone using fire... that was my thing! Well... I stole it from Hikari but... that doesn't count," Matrim said, "And no, you can't. This one isn't to be touched, he's on our side now. Well, until he gets his revenge. Then he's on whichever side he wants to be."
Matrim would lift the guy up carefully, and pull the guys arm over his shoulder so that he could carry him out, "You're going to be too hurt to fight in this condition... if you do it might just hurt you more. But you'll get your revenge, got me?"
Matrim would lead the way out of the building, down the stairs, and out the front door where a bunch of cops and fire fighters were showing up. A few teachers ran up to Matrim, "What happened up there? That girl got away, but she killed people...."
"Students are dead!"
"Who did this? I'll kill them... I swear to God... they killed her, I'll kill them, take me with you!"
People approached as Matrim walked by, Matrim had to say it, he just did, "And how does all this make you feel Clyde? Good about what you helped happen? About whose side you took?"
The guy kept quiet for the most part, and Matrim said a bit louder to everyone, "Everyone stay here. I'm going to go take care of those responsible..." He carried them toward the van, "I don't think I know where Zeek lives... you have to direct me." He turned to Sara, "On second thought, let's take your truck, and you drive." He said, knowing full well who was 'behind the wheel' of Sara's body, "You drive faster than me, and the truck goes faster. This seems like a 'go fast' scenario."
He would follow her, and Zeek would lead the way. Hopefully, it wasn't too late...

"And no, you can't. This one isn't to be touched, he's on our side now. Well, until he gets his revenge. Then he's on whichever side he wants to be."
Sara's hand froze mid reach as she pursed her lips, glaring at him out of the corner of her eye. "Always the kind one, aren't you? Always ruining my fun..." She stood back up and stepped away to give Matrim room to pick the guy up to carry him out. She followed behind them, arms crossed over her chest and head bowed defensively as they exited the school and were rushed by people. The part she hated, dealing with all of them.
They spoke to mainly to Matrim, which she was thankful for, but a few people were smart enough to try to talk to her. She avoided their gaze and kept quiet, pulling out of their grasp when they reached for her.
"Everyone stay here. I'm going to go take care of those responsible..."
His words seemed to calm everyone down and Sara was able to lift her head again as they back off. The smile returned. Putting her in a position like that, crowded with people who were looking to them, was enough to bring the switch back to reality, but the sane part of Sara... wasn't quite ready to deal yet, so she had been forced to suck it up and live through it. By the time they reached the van again, Sara was skipping and dancing around Matrim in excitement at the prospect of another fight. She had come out of the first with a couple knocks to the stomach. Pretty damn good if she said so herself, but she vowed she was going to make a doctors appointment as soon as this was over.
"I don't think I know where Zeek lives... you have to direct me. On second thought, let's take your truck, and you drive."
She stopped moving, turning slowly to look at him, her expression shocked. "Seriously?" He was actually going to let HER drive. He wouldn't let Sara drive on the best of occassions. She had to force herself to hold in the laughter at the absurdity of the command for her to drive.
"You drive faster than me, and the truck goes faster. This seems like a 'go fast' scenario."
She gave a mock bow. "As you wish." Her eyes would meet his, one of the few people she would lock gazes with. "But you can't be mad at me later. You brought this on yourself."
She pulled out her keys and jogged towards her truck. Sadly, it was only a three seater so it was going to be a little cramped, but no big deal. She threw open her door and hopped up inside, slamming her door and pushing the keys into the ignition. She nearly jumped out of her skin when some sort of popish music suddenly blared out of the radio and quickly turned it down. As soon as they were in the car, she would... Strap on a seatbelt. ^____^ Safety first.
Then she put the car in gear and tore out of the schools parking lot and into to the road, cutting off and nearly slamming into a couple of cars going either way. She wove around the small little cars, smiling happily, fingers drumming on the steering wheel. "So where we off to?"

"Always the kind one, aren't you? Always ruining my fun..." Sara had said. She was always like this when things got a little crazy around her. Funny how it seemed the crazier the situation they were in, the crazier she got. But that was alright, she was still on his side and that's all that mattered. And these shadow things, they could be killed. If they were human, they had long since forgotten anything about who they were... if they were created, then they needed to be destroyed.
Still, she seemed rather bubbly as they made their way to the vehicle. And when Matrim told her about driving she seemed to be in disbelief that he had said that, "Seriously? As you wish. But you can't be mad at me later. You brought this on yourself."
"Don't worry," Matrim said, "Even if I wanted to I'm sure I'll be grateful so long as we end this today."
He got into the back of her truck after helping Clyde into the passenger seat. That way he'd be able to give directions a little better. He then put on Clyde's set belt and put his hand up to a handle up above the door, "You.... might wanna hold on to this. Trust me."
Once he was all settled in the middle back he put a seatbelt on and grabbed both handle's on either side, "So where we off to?"
Clyde spoke up, "It's not far from here...." Clyde said, "And goin at this rate we'll be there in no time. Our guts may be puked up all over the floor, but we'll get there..." He said with his back groaning at the movements. But at least he wasn't dead, and he was thankful for that. He would give her directions the whole way, it really wasn't far. But once they were in the richer area he'd simply point out the gates, "I wanted to do this one. Not everyday you get to see a place like this..."
Matrim would look carefully, "Sara, whatever you do don't try smashing through the gates... that doesn't work in real life alright? Pull over and we'll walk the rest of the way."

"It's not far from here.... And goin at this rate we'll be there in no time. Our guts may be puked up all over the floor, but we'll get there..."Sara reached over and patted his leg. "It's not that bad- OOPS~" She swerved around another car that she had almost rear ended, her hand grabbing his knee tightly as she reacted, her other hand spinning the wheel to get around the car. "See? Not that bad..." She laughed lightly, smiling and happy to be driving. In the span of time it took them to get there, she had run a few lights, had to double around one block to lose what looked like an unmarked cop car, driven on both sides of the road and had managed to hit a Starbucks and STILL get them to Zeeks place in less then 10 minutes. She sucked up her ice coffee thing excited through a straw as she pulled up in front of the gates, eying the mansion. "I wanted to do this one. Not everyday you get to see a place like this..." "Man, this place is AWESOME!" She revved the gas, dropping her drink into a cup holder as she opened her mouth to ask Matrim for permission to do exactly what he suddenly warned her against. "Sara, whatever you do don't try smashing through the gates... that doesn't work in real life alright? Pull over and we'll walk the rest of the way." "UGH!" She dropped her head forward, smacking her forehead onto the steering wheel in frustration. "You're no DAMN fun!" She lifelessly turned the keys, shutting the care off as slid sadly out of it, grabbing her drink before she slammed the door, letting her frustration out on that instead.
