It was only proper. That it would rain on a day like today. The torents of rain beating down on the stained pavement. The grunge and dirt from so many shoes that had carried their patrons over the sidewalk slowly being washed away. Eaten down by the drops of rain that were pounding into the cement. It was only proper, because the rain and her mood seemed similar. Melencholy and yet at the same time angry. The building of the school was partially hidden and blurred by the heavy fall of water. Sheets of rain washed over the world around her. Students all around her rushed towards their destination, the front doors of the school. They were nothing but blurred images, moving fast as possible. Hiding themselves from the rain by various methods. Sacrificing their text books to shield their hair. Backpacks taking the brunt of the rain as they rushed through the torrent. Some just got wet. Most ran for their lives.
Had no one an umbrella?
From behind her thickly framed black plastic frames that sat upon her pale nose. She watched the mayhem of a rainy day. Up above her, the pitter pat of the umbrella she hid herself under punctuated the screams and welps of the day. Finally she would move, the car she had driven to school was nothing special. Just an old Nissan. Nothing too special, about five years old but in actual good condition. Her heels made no real noise that could be heard as she traveled herself up on the sidewalk and carried herself towards the door.
First days sucked no matter where you were.
Last chances were worse. Kaia Stephenson was a 'new girl' in a school that from what she understood didn't take kindly to new. But, it was her last chance. Make it work or she didn't have a home and as much as she didn't really care much for her Uncle he was the only family she had left.
Freedom.
Inside the doors, she closed her umbrella and looked around for a baggy to put it in. Oh right, public school. It would just drip. She sighed the reminder that she had to stoop so low for an education was a slap in the face. She was smarter than them she deserved better. Shaking her umbrella out in a trash can she walked down the halls. They had come yesterday, she had her schedule already, but it was still at least twenty minutes before class actually started. So to start it would be more prudent to find her locker.
A pair of blue jeans fit her frame delectably. And she wore a white long sleeve button down shirt on her upper body that accented the body she had. Her silver hair loose, and blue eyes scanning everything. No smile on her face, she had her guard up. Only time would tell if this school would be worth her time and effort. If it would be worth opening up to meet the people around her. But she feared that it might very well not be that at all.
Now if only her locker would open... it would at least be decent.

To say the day was perfect could possibly be an overzealous remark, due to California's Mediterranean climate it didn't rain all too often but those few days when it was incredibly overcast. Through Cerulean hues the world in which he marched was a torrential one, grey patchy clouds obstructing what would normally been an engulfing orange sun. It didn't spell well for the school voyage to say the least as Jaus Valentine started the motor to his bike. The sharp pitch picking up with a trembling roar.
"There’s only one thing you should know I've put my trust in you Pushed as far as I can go For all this There’s only one thing you should know"
He'd mumble to himself through pursed lips as the melody tinkered away at his ears. The tapping of his foot on the rest as the vehicle tore off into the morning sputter.
It was a short enough drive through the Gates, rain, and miscellaneous eyes taking to his facade. Seconds even ticked by taking steps into the yard from the familiarity of his vehicle. Leather coat on his back, the heavy weights tugging down at his arms. The same working on his back. Dark faded jeans latched to his waste completed the uniform feeling subtly better than most.
He'd not been known all to well around these parts, not until Spike and him had broken into the fray. The only association he had with the school would be through Kevala or perhaps Gabriel but they were hard to come by these days and he was quite intrigued by the way life was headed now.
A new start....
Striding through the halls he found a moment of enlightenment something like he was important. Perhaps now he had a purpose. Though was it to create and protect? Or to Shatter and Destroy?
He'd stride by the lockers picking at his own as his eyes shifted to the right picking out a face. He didn't know her nor whether she was new or not seeing as Jaus had been all but nonexistent up till now. Something however brought him to speak up though.
"Need a hand?" He'd shrug leaning into her space shortly just enough to imply aid but not breach the "comfort zone."

It was early yet. A time when most teenagers her age would rather be asleep than stuck in a building that was more assylum and less building for education. She had to admit that it felt like every other private school she had glimpsed. In meaningless tours. The plain white hallways occassionally sprayed with the school colors. There was the cork boards that claimed adds for the different clubs and after school activities. The intercom speakers in the celing that were flat and white against the white tiles ready for any of the administration to make some sort of announcement. Everything seemed so cold and impersonal. She was used to the warm hues of the academy, the warmth and yet coldness of the teachers that showed they were over you and yet you knew should you need anything they were there.
This was a different world. A different culture all together.
Ahhhh, and so here was her locker. The beaten and dented in locker door didn't bode well. She would have to endeavor to make sure she left nothing of any real value in there. A swift smash to the right area and she was sure that the door would open. Why was it that public school students were so violent? Or perhaps it was merely that middle class America was violent, only time would tell and she would be paying attention. Surely, not all of them could be violent. If they were, then the world was a lost cause.
"Need a hand?"
Deep beautiful blue eyes shifted. From behind the thick 'nerd' glasses that she wore on her shapely face. One of her hands reached up to brush some of her silver hair behind her twice pierced ears. Did she need a hand. Well she supposed that depended on what he meant by a hand. He didn't seem the shake your hand, nice to meet you sort. So that was out. She supposed that he could show her how to get something to beaten open with the combination that she had been given at the office yesterday.
"Probably." she admitted honestly. Her voice was smooth and gentle. She didn't have any sort of attitude. "I'm afraid that I'm not quite sure how this combination here, is meant to open this locker. The school I was at last did not use lockers with combinations. We had keys."
She looked at the boy with her deep midnight blue eyes. He was good looking, even she could see that simply enough. He seemed genuine at first glance. However, she was not so gullible to believe that she would just trust him. She was beautiful, often that would allow men to let their guards down. She assumed it would work even in an environment like this. Or so she hoped.
"Can I ask our name?" her voice piqued with curiosity.

"Probably."
The meek response in return, an assumption from most would be figuring the girl to be nothing but a quaint little bookworm but a person always had a different character than the obvious exterior and we each wore different masks.
"I'm afraid that I'm not quite sure how this combination here, is meant to open this locker. The school I was at last did not use lockers with combinations. We had keys."
Jaus would smirk steadily leaning against the wall. Just like out of the movies with fonzy he'd slam his elbow into the locker leading the locker to pop open quickly. He'd make an apologetic grin at the force needed to bust it open but after all the years he doubted a bit more force would cause much further damage.
"Sometimes these things get jammed....."
Val's output changed from friendly to something of his loner nature and would shrug before turning away towards his own locker without much more to say. People and him didn't necessarily get along too well.
"Can I ask our name?"
O.o?
He turned around curiously. Someone wanting to know who he was? His name rather? This was misplaced and odd. There was evidently some strange occurrence going on when he potentially made allegiances.
"Valentine, Jaus Valentine...." He'd say in a James Bond manner, "And you are?" He tried in a friendly manner returning the question though with his tone of voice it sounded harsh and to a degree rude. To which he quickly averted his eyes out of embarrassment.

WHAM!!!
Even Kaia had to flinch as the boy shoved his elbow into the metal door that would now pop open. So you had to be violent to even the lockers. Now, she was going to have to decide if it was even worth using the locker. If it was that beaten, that you had to beat it further to get it open... well .. she didn't hold that much strength in the small body. S he worked out but only enough to keep herself firm and toned not to give her any actual strength.
"Sometimes these things get jammed....."
She rose her brow. "So it seems."
He turned to walk away. Which confused her, most people craved social interaction. And she was not offended because she thought she was beautiful. She knew she looked better than average, but she was never so worried about her physical appearance other than presenting herself nicely. Which was why she always dressed herself in nice eye appealing clothing. A complete package was better than half of one.
He turned at her words.
Well at least he wasn't rude then. He wouldn't leave when a lady was talking to him. A point to his name. Speaking of a point system he had earned a few already. One for asking assistance. One for opening the unused locker. And another for not being rude. Thus far, three points. Not that she really kept a tally but it was nice when she could visibly watch people earning them. Perhaps she was a little too snoody for a school like this, but it was the lot that life had cast her.
"Valentine, Jaus Valentine...."
Kaia let her lips quirk up to the right in a little smirk at his joke. How very James Bond. Perhaps the boy in front of him fancied himself as a James Bond like man. only time would tell if he could carry the charismatic ways of the agent.
"And you are?"
His tone was actually biting. Her brow rose in a fluid movement above her right eye as she looked at him. He turned away. In embarrassment? So she didn't want to be rude then, perhaps it was a defense mechanism then. Perhaps he was unused to people trying to get close, perhaps he didn't want people to be close. She wasn't quite sure what exactly his thing was but she would figure it out.
"Kaia. Kaia Stephenson." Her hand reached out gently, away from her body extended towards the man to shake his. Her eyes looked at his through her glasses. Her eyes watching him curiously.
"Thank you, by the way, for your assistance with the locker." her eyes flickered to the open door and she closed it. "I'm not sure it's worth it though if I don't have you around to open it for me when I need it."
A slight chuckle escaped her pale well shaped lips as her deep blue eyes swung back to him.
"You must have enrolled here some time ago then." she deduced.

"Kaia. Kaia Stephenson."
A sharp movement from the corner of his eye the force by which drew his eyes up to meet her hand suspiciously at first before realizing the thing wasn't curled into a fist nor a weapon implemented between it's vice but rather extended out as if to greet respectfully and meaningfully. To which Jaus met her with his own hand to formally introduce himself. The suspicion of course wasn't uncommon in fact there were many who once came to this school under the guise of friendship before turning feral unto one another. What a strange set of scenarios that'd evolved from there.
"Thank you, by the way, for your assistance with the locker."
Jaus would nod respectably in return not sure what to say to that, considering he'd assumed anyone would under that occurrence. Was it not common place to help another out? Or rather was Gabriel's world of suspicion and war always about. A mental shudder at the thought.
"I'm not sure it's worth it though if I don't have you around to open it for me when I need it."
Jaus noticed her chuckle and forced an awkward one himself feeling a little out of place. It was uncanny of him to react socially or adapt to the right cues. Genuine or not he at least put up a smile of welcoming that was indeed true.
"Well so long as I'm not overstepping my boundaries you can have mine, Not to many people mess with my locker..." He signaled at his own unlettered safekeeping storage.
He'd not preclude to the reason's why people didn't fight him or mess with him, that would be left up to the imagination or perhaps later research.
"You must have enrolled here some time ago then."
That question got a jovial response out of him. Something about the past always got Val's lips moving, at least the good parts that was.
"Yea, just about a year ago I s'pose. This place has a way of changing you." He said his voice turning soft for once before his face abruptly shifted to a downward frown. And often it wasn't the good that changed you, it was the bad. Ugly things came of this place, but Jaus would change that.

His eyes shot to her hand when it was extended to him. Suspicion written all over his face. Her brow rose again, it seemed to be doing that a lot lately. Perhaps, this school was more violent than even the rumors had led her to believe. She had not been too keen on entering this school but with no other choice, and being in the neighborhood. She had come hoping that she could find a way to make it through her senior year in high school and make some friends as well. She honestly missed the social interactions she had enjoyed at the academy. It seemed here, she would be harder pressed to find it. But he eventually took her hand and shook it gently.
"Well so long as I'm not overstepping my boundaries you can have mine, Not to many people mess with my locker..."
Now both her brows rose.
"Really? That's very sweet of you."
He pointed to his locker, her eyes followed, it wasn't very far from her own and was in much better condition. She had a feeling that the nicer ones were always taken first. Part of her wondered why it was that he got his locker left alone. Perhaps it was that he was a good fighter, perhaps he wasn't what he seemed, or perhaps he just had that way about him. That people left him alone.
"I would enjoy sharing in your locker, if you would really have me as a lockermate."
Kaia had a beautiful way about her speaking. It was very eloquent and gentle. Well bred, the kind of speech that was calming to the nerves as much as her good looks. Her hand lifted and brushed her hair back behind her double pierced ears, two small silver studs shimmered from the flesh of her ear.
Upon mentioning of his time here he seemed to have a larger response than when she had spoken of other things with him. Her eyes watched him as she adjusted the glasses on her nose before letting her hand fall to her side leisurely.
"Yea, just about a year ago I s'pose. This place has a way of changing you."
She smiled. A warm smile, and a slight nod of her head.
"I have a feeling that it can. I've seen a lot since i've been here. That guy over there, in the grey shirt. He has a following, five of his followers are stationed over the course of the hallway casing it." she told him softly. "The girl with the glasses doesn't really need the glasses, underneath the nerd look, she's actually a fighter."
Her eyes flickered around taking other things and then flicked back to him with a smile.
"I have a feeling nothing in this school is really as it seems. I think perhaps you may fall underneath that category." she chuckled warmly. "I shall enjoy unpuzzling you, dear Jaus."
She moved up to him a little bit and put her arm through his softly clenching softly. In a ladylike escorting movement.
"Show me how to open your locker." she said softly looking up into his eyes. "And if you would please, I would like to walk with you to class."

"Really? That's very sweet of you."
A small smirk in return, "Its nothing really..." Humble enough a response as it would seem in fact Jaus really didn't suspect he'd need a lock anyway. These days it'd seem as though people had a natural aversion to him. All the way back through his time at Point Hope things seemed obvious that he was going to be alone for quite awhile with such a harsh attitude.
"I would enjoy sharing in your locker, if you would really have me as a lockermate."
"uhh...sure.." He managed in return feeling rather innocent about the entire issue of sharing, nothing was shared at this school. He'd seen enough of that in his relatively short time here. Pillars acted united, Students acted united but it was all to an end before they reverted back upon feral instincts. I take whats mine. Such a weak way the world fell upon.
Valentine's eyes darted across the hall to the small group, they seemed divided from one another yet united. Awkward stances they held showed none of them were very trusting but an instinctual build to their leader it seemed kept them united as one. How primitive. Jaus managed to smirk wittingly making a note of that. He'd seen them around but not in droves, he suspected Spike and Jaus could take the group on their own but then again sometimes things were evidently more difficult.
"I have a feeling nothing in this school is really as it seems. I think perhaps you may fall underneath that category." she chuckled warmly. "I shall enjoy unpuzzling you, dear Jaus."
He gave her a rather dumb and innocent look, something a child would bear in respect before the meaning struck him and his face went red. He'd never seen himself as a puzzle, rather self evident and obvious to all degrees but to each his own he supposed. Mild mannered now and shy he'd teeter on heels trying to manage an escape without being rude before she'd offered leading aid. Her guiding nature leading his steps originally planned out for an escape now teetered him in the direction of 'their' locker
"Show me how to open your locker."
"And if you would please, I would like to walk with you to class."
"Ummm of course," He'd smile shifting his focus from the intent lock of her eyes to the locker notch playing with it, "Left 24, right 5, left 15; there.."
He'd turn to her grinning victoriously with an arm angled towards the locker. The insides were lined with the ordinary metal showing no evident signs of wear and tear, in fact it looked hardly used at all. The stuffing in fact showed only two large books and a notepad. Upon a psych analysis it'd show that Jaus didn't expect he'd be staying here long whether that be through injury unto himself or outsider provocation to his escape.
"So... uhm What class do you have?" He'd suggest as to further the conversation along not feeling any vindictive agenda on either of their behalf and rather hoping that they'd not be interrupted by the newly fixated eyes on their position. The other group they'd allocated were now inconspicuously peering in their general direction.

He was shy.
It seemed, at least to her anyway. And, unfortunatly, that made him all the more appealing. It wasn't though she had a specific type or anything. Generally, she didn't go for the bookish sort, nor did she go for the all out brawler. But somewhere in between which didn't always mean it was something to easy to find. She wasn't strategically looking for someone either, though she felt that if someone fell into her lap she got along with who was she to buck fate.
"Ummm of course,"
And so he smiled. The first smile she had seen him give to her. And it was lovely. She smiled at him in return. And so it seemed that, he would escort her to class as she had asked. So he was admirable as well. The qualities in the young man her arm was linked with continued to mount. At the locker, he shifted his eyes from her own and they both looked at the little round combination lock on the front of the metal door.
"Left 24, right 5, left 15; there.."
24, 5, 15. She would do well to remember that, if her books were to be placed within. He was nice to share his locker with her, it was a true act of kindness. One she had not expected to find in the halls. Her eyes looked from him to the locker now that the door was ajar. It was plain metal. No pictures or decorations and not many supplies lay within. She had never been much of a decorator of her locker even at her older schools. It was simply a place of necessity. When she drew, and drew well, she would place them on her binders and the like.
"Thank you, again."
Looking to her side she opened the simple unadorned black leather bag at her hip that slung over her shoulder. She pulled out some of her books. Physics, advanced Trig, as well as French. Placing them within the folds of his metal locker she would then close it, closing her bag. She had her other books with her, french.. well she doubted she would actually need the book, their version of French was something she learned in junior high.
"So... uhm What class do you have?"
Again her eyes would fall to her book bag. Taking out a folded white paper out of the front pocket she would unfold it. Reading over it quickly her eyes would flicker to his and lock just over the top of the paper.
"British Litterature." she told him. "Followed by, Government." The only normal class she was taking. She was not that interested in History classes, therefore that area of her expertise lacked severely. Not that she went about doing anything for it, she didn't mind lacking in the area she was uninterested in.
"What about you? You seem intelligent, your books say you are at least better than average, what classes are you enrolled in here?" she wondered curiously taking his arm again, since he didn't seem to mind the first time, she would endeavor to do it once more.
"Is there any advice, while I'm thinking of it, you would wish to impart?"

"British Litterature."
Been there. Check.
"Followed by, Government."
So a hefty and swift analysis of her personality he'd strike in the mind very politically driven it'd seemed. A completely different viewpoint from his assumption on what he would have first pegged her to be. Though the historical aspects greatly interested him thus being a part of quite a few of them either through family lineage or first hand account. It'd seem as though they'd either clash or meld in the near future be it here or on some battlefield orchestrated through time.
"What about you? You seem intelligent, your books say you are at least better than average, what classes are you enrolled in here?"
Jaus would grin somewhat sheepishly at the plain textbooks. Among them were some History, Art, and English Literature Classes. Certainly above average but not quite what he'd label as "smart" whether that be due to his own laziness or standardizing himself to a label that he'd live with for the next few years until grades began to truly matter. By then of course it'd be too late.
"Haha well History is probably my best subject, then maybe art.?" He'd say in a speculative tone unsure as to if he were indeed any good. Perhaps a small confidence issue there as far as intellectual means went.
"Is there any advice, while I'm thinking of it, you would wish to impart?"
Huh? Advice? Jaus went red in the face. No one had ever asked him for advice. He'd always been "sub par" compared to the other fighters around these parts, but of course that was before most of them had graduated from this place. It was odd to consider himself an upperclassman by this point. He still felt so very much like a child.
"Uhmm erm.." He cleared his throat turning the meek exterior into something tougher, a facade of a leader, "Well what you've gotta do is not let anyone push you around, you let blood get into the water and you'll live that out the rest of your school days I've seen plenty of it..."
All the while their walking pace was stopped by the rather large brute from the group that'd been staring their direction. The man's Brows large and wavy signalling a distress. "Hey baby, ditch this looser and come with me..." He'd wink with the all too bushy brows as his smaller coeds came from behind. Jaus counted two of them behind. One was the girl Kaia had pointed out and the other a smaller guy not half Val's size.
"Maybe you should get lost..." Jaus growled in a low tone not making motion to move. In fact if noticed the hairs at the back of his neck rose to meet the scene. His body rigid but nothing raising to lash out. Fair warning.

"Haha well History is probably my best subject, then maybe art.?"
Kaia smiled.
"I'm not much of a history fan myself. I supose, I am best at English and Mathematics. But art you say... why dear Jaus, we now have something fully in common."
Her smile would say it all. Kaia was an artist. She didn't really worry about what people thought of her drawings and paintings. She did what she wished to and let the paint do the rest. There was no reason for her to be bashful about her talent, and there was no need for him to be bashful either. Art was a talent that not everyone was born with, and she knew that any talent was a god send. Whether it be music, art, or some form of other talent, for there were many ways a talent could manifest.
"Uhmm erm.."
Kaia chuckled. "I didn't mean to embarass you, I"m sorry if I did."
"Well what you've gotta do is not let anyone push you around, you let blood get into the water and you'll live that out the rest of your school days I've seen plenty of it..."
Her brow rose.
"So you're saying stick to myself and not to anger anyone?"
That seemed simple but she had a feeling in a school like this it wasn't going to be easy. She had already figured out that this wasn't one of those normal nice schools. Where one could make friends, join clubs, and graduate without ever having been beaten up. That was exactly what she hoped to do but then again she was only here for her senior year so the fact of the matter was if she could just do what she needed to for a years time she would be alright.
The two of them had started walking again while their conversation was going. She hadn't even really been paying attention to the group that had been spread out in the hallway. That was until their path was stopped by a very brutish looking man. She stood next to Jaus as the brute spoke.
"Hey baby, ditch this looser and come with me..."
Oh ew.
First thing he did wrong was use baby to describe her. She hated that crap. Then there was calling Jaus a loser when thus far she saw nothing but gentlemenly conduct. Probably why this guy thought he was a loser. And then he didn't ask her to come, he told her to come, which was... not cool.
"Maybe you should get lost..."
Kaia's brows rose and she looked over at Jaus. He seemed like a dog protecting her. She liked it though. The fierce protectiveness that told Bruno here she was his. At least, for the time being. She doubted he could have developed feelings for her in such a short time. Though stranger things had happned. Her hand clenched softly on the arm she had her arm through. Giving him a little support to do what ever he wanted. She had no real fighting experience. With someone Bruno's size she was sure to get her rear handed to her. Her eyes flickered up to Jaus' and waited to see what would come of this.

The bulk's brow raised as an infuriating look shot through his features as though the words took a good long while to hit his nerve center. Obvious signal that his bulk and aggressive behavior was compensating for something he was otherwise lacking. And while Jaus stood opposite his entitled rage without much fear but rather a feral anger in his eyes. You see where Jaus came from, his background and upbringing taught to treat women with a manner of respect and his experience in this part of the world only enforced that he treat them as equals and such intolerance somewhat made him with lack of a better word nuts.
*thwack*
A sharp punch to his face as Jaus found himself leveled by the big guy. It was uncommon yes, people generally avoided Jaus but times when there was a much better reward to be risked people would step out of line and in other words show their ugliness.
A grunt coming from the ground as it would look as though Jaus was out, caught by surprise and fighting to get up as the male cohort delivered a sharp kick to his ribs merely to rub salt in the wounds. With that their eyes would turn to Kaia hungrily like dogs.
"K'mere doll face, I'm just gunna show you what Romeo couldn't..." His face beckoning with sharpness to his features.
The two males taking to creep closer to her, the smaller sneaking behind to cut off her escape while the large leader took to distract her from in front. Of all schools this one had to endorse violence to get what one wanted. In the same instant the female coming up with her belt and looping it around the downed Jaus' neck and yanking hard to shift his head off the ground.
"Don't think you'll get out so easily cutie, we'll just have to make our own fun."
A snarl from the downed boy flinching furiously under her sharp knee to his back. Roughly pinching at his nerve endings. There was no way out of this. Nails digging sharply into his palms focusing intently. Fury, pain.

Watching not far off, was a young man who was walking around rather casually, before resting against the lockers. Pulling out a cigeratte, he would begin to smoke as he watched events unfold, all the armor he used to wear was now cut down and woven into the black japanese boys uniform he wore. He would walk to the edge of the small group that where watching and silently ranting to each other. Taking the stick from its sheith under his jacket he would place it on the ground and kick it agross the floor to Jaus. He mite recognize it, it didn't matter to him, but this wasn't Spike's fight.
With that he would turn around and head out. Jaus would probably return it later. Spike wouldn't leave completely until Jaus and this female he was with finished this off. If they couldn't though he would step in, but he would not soil Jaus's honor by interrupting. So hiding himself in the crowed he would watch from over someone's shoulder.

Kaia couldn't help but jump and let out a slight scream as Jaus took a punch to the face. She wished to go help him. But there was no opening. Everyone seemed to be in a circle around them. She couldn't figure out why they were signalling out these two. What had they done?!
So this school was as bad as they say.
"K'mere doll face, I'm just gunna show you what Romeo couldn't..."
Oh ew.
That was just gross and even he had to know that. Did people actually use lines like that anymore. She really didn't see how. Afterall, it seemed as though sometimes, guys thought something was sexy but it wasn't. It was a major turn off, not that the guy really had anything to offer anyway. Kaia was SO not interested.
"I'm pretty sure Romeo had it covered."
Ah hell.
Should have kept my mouth shut!
Brute seemed all too eager to prove her wrong. He kept closing in on her and there were only so many places she could go. Then some other guy.. a stranger to the silver haired girl came out of no where and slid a .. stick.. towards Jaus. Maybe it was some kind of stick that hid a sword like in those strange japanese shows or something. But, somehow it looked like a stick. Still though she had her own worries.
It was time to try at least to be proactive. Jaus would be busy with the others so she was on her own to take care of Brute. She didn't have a lot of strength, and no real training, but she knew a kick in the balls could at least bring a man to shock if not to his knees. From there she could use the next second to attack again if she could manage before he recovered. It was her only bet.
So she went with it. Suddenly her foot lashed out and scored a direct hit in his jewels. He grunted, so she wasted no time kicking him two more times in the jewels. If anything she was going to make sure raping a girl was the last thing he was thinking about for a few days. The Brute finally seemed to go to his knees where she sent a kick at his throat. She hoped this work, because it was all the girl had.

The thick noose around his throat made it hard to breath, the soft ensembles of the air siphoning in and out only briefly enough to contend that he was indeed still alive. Focused he began to feel his temple's bulge fixating, slowing. Everything felt as though it were heated, warped and disoriented the world ticked by seconds seeming eternities and he knew his foe. The woman straddling him with the choker. Cerulean eyes focused as the pole slide between his hands.
Sudeki!
The realization came, he was to fight, proudly at that. Furiously for not just himself, nor the woman he was aiming amiably towards but for a reason much more that he had yet to realize.
*Crunch*
His arm darting back, the length of his elbow buried into the woman's chest just below her ribs cracking them all simultaneously with the force. In the very same hand he held the pole, its power he'd only seen briefly in that battle and he knew the extend of it.
"EXTEND!"
*Bam!*
To the back of the downed brute's head. Already collateralled by Kaia's assault the pole only addend to it knocking the boy clear out. One left.
The cohort left last clasped his arms behind Kaia trying to pin her back making her arms useless and her attempts at kicking him just as flawed.
"DUCK!"
With a shout he'd expect Kaia to duck the blow as he'd hurtle the elongated pole in a wide 180* movement close lining the boy behind her to the floor freeing her from his grimy hands.
"Looks like you can handle yourself..." Jaus managed a smile and a nod before going serious again his eyes shifting to Spike, He'd not his head as a thanks, without that last minute aid Jaus would probably be a bit undermanned and would have to resort to.... tactless strategies.
