The time was within minutes of being 3AM.
Vespyr was comfortably settled at the far end of a sofa, her arms wide, one resting on the armrest and the other loosely clutching an open bottle of wine. Her legs were outstretched comfortably, boots resting on a low table several feet from the couch, across from which was a television. The display was blank; black, motionless, silent--yet Vespyr's eyes were rooted to it as if she saw more than was truly there.
On the table beside her feet was something resembling a domed cage with a black cloth thrown over it. Every now and then there would emanate a soft rustle from inside, but for the most part, the strange package kept quiet and did little to disturb the tranquil silence that drifted through the apartment. ...Apartment? It didn't belong to Vespyr, of course. Rather, she had come here on a whim, carrying the mysterious gift with her, affected only slightly by the wine she held. As for how she had managed to break into the apartment with a 3-foot tall cage, a bottle of wine, her feline companion, and not cause any disturbance-- That was irrelevant. Meanwhile, in another room, a single amber eye would be watching the slumbering form of Gilgamesh as the mess of sheets shrouding him slowly rose and fell with his breath. "Rrrraow."[/blockquote] ooc: just assuming he's asleep, here. If otherwise, let me know and i can change it.

Gilgamesh was fast asleep.
his eyes were almost sealed shut his breaths were abit slower than ussual and he could felt peaceful. he was in his own home, asleep.. it felt good to sleep, Gilgamesh was fast asleep... oh yeah..
It was a good night to sleep. he tossed in turn in his room, the blankets became a mess overtop of him as an arm went over the side of the bed. He did move in his sleep.. abit...
He stoped moving. Gilgamesh was now at peace sleeping.
He heard the 'Rrraow' and woke up slightly. He looked around and said:"Whos here?" and awaited an answer as if someone was here.
(OOC:Al stats are normal since nothing is currently on him.)

The cat's ears twitched as Gilgamesh roused from his sleep suddenly, tilting his head in a curious fashion as the young man called out into the darkness. Fleesh was perched in the windowsill, looking down at Gilgamesh with a glint in his eye that concealed whatever insidious thoughts did happen to slither through the feline's mind. He meowed once more, and, rising to his feet, sprung from the sill and slipped soundlessly through the crack in the doorway.
In the other room, Vespyr's attention suddenly averted from the sleeping television to the bedroom doorway upon hearing Gilgamesh's voice. Fleesh padded across the floor and joined her on the sofa, fitting himself comfortably into the space between her lap and the armrest. His eye was fixed upon the cage at his mistress's feet, almost hungrily.
Vespyr brought the bottle of wine to her lips, tipped it, then let it rest again amongst the couch cushions. A hand slipped into one of her abysmal jacket pockets, withdrawing a lighter and a cigarette. In her nimble fingers, a small flame sparked into life, casting eerie, flitting shadows onto the walls for a second before vanishing, the room regressing into lightlessness, save the dim moonlight that seeped in from the balcony window.
Though only a half-moon, the meager light distilled everything it could reach. Whatever of Vespyr's pale skin that wasn't hidden by her black attire or cast in shadow seemed luminous in contrast to the inundating shadows. The smouldering tip of her cigarette was the only coloured thing in the room; all else was bathed in the night's gloom or was graced by a faint silver glow.
She waited in silence for Gilgamesh to emerge, at which point she would casually smile at him.

Gilgamesh sat up, put a pair of shorts on, got up and looked around. his eyes could vaugly see what was going on untill he he walked out of the door to the living. staring face to face with a friend he had met recently.
.... Gilgamesh stood for a second.
Looked at the open window from the Balcony and then at the person who was now on his sofa...
Drinking wine...
.... Vespyr?
"vespyr? What are you doing here?" He was curious he wasn't too sure weither she was being friendly.. or just trying to be a pest to him.
Gilgamesh looked at the cage and crossed his arms at he smile.

Vespyr's lean shoulders rose and fell in a casual shrug.
"Dunno. Was nearby and thought i'd pay you a little visit." she replied, smiling peaceably, wisps of smoke trailing from her lips. Her eyes followed Gilgamesh's curious gaze to the cage on the table, and her grin broadened.
"Present for you." From beneath the black draped cloth came more of the faint rustling, alerting the cat's ears, causing the entirety of his lithe body to tense in a predatory manner as he became keen to the stirrings of the concealed creature.
Vespyr gazed fondly at the package for several moments, then turning back to Gilgamesh, she gestured to it with her free hand, inviting him to whisk away the cloth to reveal his gift. If he obliged, (or she would, if he chose not to) he would find, obediently perched inside the cage, a rather magnificent red-tailed hawk.
The bird would cock his head to the side, regarding Gilgamesh with a stern eye, glinting a deep umber. His tawny coat of feathers lay well-groomed over his majestic chest; a cape of burnt sienna draped over his cream-and-brown breast, and a fiery, russet plumage to do him honor at his tail. The broad, scaled feet, which he shifted proudly upon as he studied his new master, were equipped with talons as curved and ravening as a marauder's blade, with a beak of the same grandiose qualities. He was a fine beast; the most exquisite specimen of a winged predator that would have ever graced the skies.
...and where had Vespyr come across such a noble creature? She had raised him, of course, under an austere, but loving, hand; so that he had learned to obey and provide fair companionship.
"Comrade's name is Steerpike."

Gilgamesh tilted his head and took off the cloth atop the whole thing and saw that hawk that was there and laughed abit. He shook his head and looked over at Vespyr.
"So, what is this for?"
He was curious.. One day and given a gift? something is wrong here.. or could have been just something for giggles to make everything seem like it's ok between something.
He gave it some thought looked at the young lady.
"Alright, it's cute."
HE laughed abit.
(Sorry for the short post, in abit of a hurry.)

Vespyr shrugged, taking another drink of wine, her eyes still fixed on the hawk. She didn't really have a specific reason as to why she had given it to him. She had decided to on a whim, and it seemed like anyone would appreciate a good hunting bird... or maybe not. Either way,
"No reason. Just seemed like something you might enjoy."
She'd never been the kind of person who held legitimate reasons behind her actions. As long as he didn't take the simple gift as a sign of something... well anything that it wasn't intended to be, it didn't matter. It wasn't like it was Valentine's day or anything.
Smiling, she offered the bottle to Gilgamesh, in case he wanted a drink.
"Ironic, isn't it? To be drinking?" she chuckled maliciously, recalling the night before with a somewhat drunk fondess. She didn't have a problem with the drinking, but she did have a problem with drunk assholes.
"Hypocritical, maybe... but i'm a bitch even when i'm sober."
Vespyr wasn't the type to get clumsy when she drank, or even slur her words. The extent of the alcohol was merely to speaking in incomplete sentences that were sometimes incoherent; but for the most part, nothing changed.

No reason?
.... GOOD ENOUGH FOR ME!
Gilgamesh knelt down at the cage and just looked at the care the hawk was in and just how it was. It was cool.
He looked at the the bottle that was handed to him and grabbed it and started to drink some of it, it went down the throat smooth and he could hardly taste it. But it was good.
Ironic?
"Well, its not really. But besides them drunk jackasses who did that."
.... Gilgamesh was abit too tired for this shit to even think at this point, but did enjoy the company.
"Yeah.. I've heard you were Queen bitch."
Gilgamesh said with a laugh and he shook his head.

Much to Vespyr's stoic satisfaction, Gilgamesh appeared to appreciate the arbitrary gift. Steerpike, sensing the all-around positive energy of the room, gave a haughty SCREEEE~ from within his cage, shuffling about on his hook-toed feet with enthusiasm.
The cat glared daggers.
Vespyr, taking another drag from her cigarette as Gilgamesh took a drink of the wine, reveled in the wonderful bad habits there were to be had. However... certain bad habits were less desirable; she cringed slightly at Gilgamesh's use of the word 'them'. Oh, yes--Vespyr was quite the grammar nazi. If Gilgamesh were anything less than an acquaintance, she definitely would have thumped him on the head; but she said nothing, a grim smile on her lips.
Queen bitch?
Vespyr chuckled darkly as though it had been a compliment.
"Oh, really?" she snickered, now curious as well as slightly entertained at the thought of her reputation going around as such. Goddess of the Night. Satan's Sycophant. Queen Bitch. She had a rather interesting and well-suited assortment of dissentient names running now.
"Heard from who?"

Gilgamesh laughed and stood up.
"Well, I just got it from just the way you handled the..." he paused for a second. "Characters."
He laughed and took another swig and handed the wine back. He walked over to the window and looked out it. his eyes gazing on the lights in the distance.
Was that?...
yeah... two people going at it...sexualy
Gilgamesh averted his eyes over to Vespyr and looked at Steelspike. he smiled at it and looked at Vespyr.
"So, what do you have planed for the rest of this night?"

Vespyr’s eyes followed Gilgamesh to the window, noting the change in his visage; he must have seen something unsettling. She didn’t have to guess at what it might be…
As for her plans for the evening, they consisted of nothing significant. Hell, she had come here on a whim because she was bored and couldn’t come up with anything better to do than wake up an almost-stranger at 3 in the morning by breaking into his freaking house.
“Nothing, really. 3 more hours until the sun is up… and I’ve already run out of things to do. Shame.” she said after a considerate pause, taking another drink of wine. She sighed, turning to Steerpike, watching him fondly as he gnawed at the metal wires of his cage with the sharp, hooked beak. There really was no point in being here, was there? She had given the hawk a home… and now it was time to return to what was left of hers.
Vespyr rose to her feet silently, leaving the bottle of wine beside the bird cage; she figured Gilgamesh would get more pleasure from the rest of it than she would. Followed dutifully by the cat, she joined Gilgamesh at the window, not bothering to look at what he had seen earlier. She wasn’t interested in that; rather, she was focused on the night sky above.
“Should let you get back to sleep, eh?”

Gilgamesh gabe himself abit of a chuckle and looked at Vespyr.
"Sleep? I'm fully awake now, no way I am going back to sleep." He said with a smile. He wanted to go and do something with his new friend here. He looked opened the window and went out into the balcony and placed his hands on the railing.
His eyes were gazing at the lights that were still on. He looked up and down and started to let out a sigh.
It was nice out... Better than in his room. He looked over at Vespyr. "I am sure we can do something that might not bore you." Gilgamesh said with a smile on his face, turning his gaze over to the buildings in the background.

"Hmm," would be her only reply, her eyes fixed on Gilgamesh as the smile appeared on his face. She could only wonder at what, particularly, hid behind that grin--what did he have in mind? Normally she might have been more intuative; but she was tired, and... slightly impaired. So she shrugged, her eyes wandering back to the sky.
While he had exited to the balcony, Vespyr remained inside, her hands clasped behind her back in an almost formal manner as she watched a miniscule point of light dart across the inky stratosphere. To most others, the sight of a shooting star may have been a novelty; but Vespyr remained apathetic to the phenomenon. The stars in motion were nothing of interest in comparison to the other strange forces at work inside her head, every minute of the day.
Somewhere in the darkness, Steerpike's cage rattled again, quietly, a minute reminder of his existence. The cat wove in between Vespyr's boots impatiently, then padded away and could be seen next perched upon the balcony railing, his single amber eye fixed sternly on Gilgamesh, judging him. By nature, he was hesitant to trust any creature other than his mistress; scrutinizing those with whom she chose to spend her time was a common process... an ongoing process... the cat never seemed satisfied with the integrity of any person, friend of Vespyr's or not.

Gilgamesh looked at the cat and put a finger in front of it's nose about 3 inches away for it to sniff his finger, if so. Gilgamesh would slowly and gently pet the cat and he moves his head too looking out back at the buildings.
He smiled and laughed a bit.
"We could go and fight a random person." He said without looking at Vespyr. Gilgamesh was fully awake and not going to sleep at all he just wanted to go and do something so he could lose energy to do something.
He just wanted to spend some more time with a maybe friend to him.
He didn't know much about Vespyr but he wanted to do something to get to know her more, besides an obvious fight.

Fleesh regarded the finger with bitter suspicion as it lingered intrusively in front of his face, his eye crossing as it drew nearer, until at last it was within striking distance. Quicker than a cobra, the cat snapped his jaws at the threatening finger, as if by the act Gilgamesh had prodded and shattered his outward sphere of unapproachable feline dignity. Provided that the cat's reflexes were more adroit than those of his offender, Gilgamesh would feel a sharp sting as a long fang penetrated the soft pad of his finger. Fleesh would whirl around and stalk away, his tail lashing methodically as if to say, WHAT. NERVE.
Meanwhile, Vespyr would watch the scene with a smirk on her lips, her face half-hidden behind the glare reflecting off of the glass pane. It suddenly struck her to laugh, and so she did, warmly with a barely noticeable tone of mocking. The outburst was a reaction to Fleesh's unshakeable bitterness as opposed to the pain throbbing from Gilgamesh's finger, if that was the case, but in any case, she found the entire scene to be rather comedic. Her laughter had soon died down to a minor chuckle.
Fleesh had leapt onto the roof and disappeared into the vague and dark expanse of night; Vespyr made no attempt to stop him. As she knew him well, she figured he was most likely going to sulk and plot revenge, and eventually exact it upon some unassuming flock of pigeons... Then as always, he would find her again, appearing from the darkest corner of an alleyway to frisk along at her side, cat and girl treading through the darkness together.
Vespyr's moonlit form appeared in the doorway; she rested against the frame upon her shoulder, her legs crossed, her amethyst eyes upturned to witness the fog that had begun to settle, obscuring the canopy of stars. The moonlight had begun to wane as the presence of the lunar body faded, but through the fog she remained vigilant, surrounded by a blurry luminescent ring.
"We could go and fight a random person."
"Where's the fun in that?" Vespyr inquired, more rhetorical than legitimately curious. In her opinion, fighting was fine. Fun, sometimes. However, as egregious as she was, she hardly ever started fights without reason; most often, she was provoked into a state of violence... either directly, as in the case of the park incedent, or by some other means in which the desire to wreak havoc on flesh became unavoidable.
