Hitoraki Shrine..Beach Style

[Lasia Able]

"Huh what the!?" Tsuabme turned her eyes narrowed before she caught sight of Vetis. Her expression mellowed but her face turned beet red. She was well aware about her current state of dress and while there was not much to see she was still a bit embarrassed. "You..well..Can you.." She shook her head as she took another look at him and noticed the wounds. "Geez..what did you do?" She stepped tot he side to let him int he bathroom and to let him take care of his wounds.

She made her way back to the living room and sat down on the couch sighing. "So then...seems we both ran into strong fighters..I ran into a guy named David Blaze..nice guy but insanely strong" she would talk on about how they had met and how a fight or match had started. She went into detail but not too much to be boring. She reached into her pocket and pulled out the candy drop he had given her. "Huh never did eat this..." she placed it on the table shrugging. "Well then that's what happened. This bruise and my arm are gonna be sore for a long while though"

[Vetis]

Vetis pulled out a pen and pad. He wrote to Tsubame about how recently he had gotten into a fight in the mall and destroyed an entire floor of people because of Jayr and her assistance. Even though he didnt really go looking for trouble it found him in that man who ruined his clothing and then Jayr as she went to defend him. The fight was becoing lopsided with her friends intervening at random times and her unusual Qi power. So even though he was probably responsible for millions in property damage, hurt countlesss people, and probably killed a few it was still more or less self defense. After the fall of the building there was still a black out between burying Jayr and escaping that he just couldnt piece together. He was still finding bruises from that fight.

Next he regaled her with his tale of Olivia. She broke his nose within seconds of their meeting and the brutal beatdown that ensued betweem the two. As violent as it got she had refused to quit and kept coming back at him with a bloodlust he hadnt seen since Mayoko snapped. He had surely broken her body but her fighting spirit and survival instinct left him little choice.

All this just while looking for work. He ended his note with an apology for walking in on her, it had been sometime before he had lived with another person and even longer since he had been hurt enough to need to tend to his wounds.

"I see.." Tsubame tapped the paper a few times. "Never mind you walking in on me..Vetis..you can't go around getting into high profile fights..and you can't keep hurting bystanders." Tsubame sighed a bit. "Times have changed and in this area we cannot be so reckless..besides you've better things to do then to bully the weak who are content to stay out of your way" She set the pad down as she walked over to him.

"In any case let me see that nose..I can probably pop it back into place easily enough..as for your stab wound...well simple enough there..though you may want to go to a hospital for better treatment..I must confess I'm not the best medic around" She would reach up and try to push the nose back into place. "You should learn to Bone Shred..it's very painful but worth while"

[Vetis]

Being chastised like a young child from someone who had once followed him.... it was not a favorable feeling. However he held back from what people could only describe as "the look". Im sure you know the one Im talking about so no need to go into further detail as he did not give that look. He did think about it though. He even managed to hold in an angsty sigh...

Then she mentioned the hospital. He definately wasnt going there. Considering all the property damage and god knows what else the police were looking for him for... yea it was out of the question. That and he wasnt really a fan of hospitals. Thats when he gave the look and a sigh. As she popped his nose back into place he felt an intense surge of pain and gritted his teeth breathing heavily as she did this. After a few minutes the pain subsidded.

As she mentioned bone shredding he felt a little bit of worry. The technique was not foreign to him but it was not without its drawbacks. Practitioners of the art suffered from a weakining of the bones over long periods of time. Not worth it in the big picture. He however would not critique her for learning it and practicing it. She fought signifigantly less and chances were most wouldnt be able to damage her were it would become a problem.

And there they were him sitting on the coach. Her leaning over fixing his broken nose and chastising him like a child. He smiled for a second as he thought. 'I could get used to this'.

"Well in any case I'm glad you alright..still for someone to hurt you like this" Tsubame turned to look out the window sighing. "Seems the fighters around here are a lot tougher than I either of us were expecting...did you really bring down a mall though?" Tsubame would then look down and sigh. "You could have said something." She walked back into the bathroom and retrieve her shirt pulling it on and doing a few of the buttons.

She sat back down on the couch wincing a bit as she rubbed her bruise. "That is going to smart.." she looked over at Vetis and scooted over to be closer to him. "So..are you getting used to living here? I know I'm not Celeste but I can still help you if you need anything else..such as furniture or just someone to talk to..so to speak"

[Vetis]

It took a minute for him to realize but yes Tsubame was half naked in front of him a few moments ago. It was easy for it to become an after thought when she dressed. Regardless it was at least comfortable to know that she could be like that around him. Would make life easier if they were to live with one another.

There was an awkwardness in the air as she sat next to him. He didnt really know what to do. She didnt seem to upset by the fact that he broke stuff. Perhaps it was because it shouldnt have been a huge leap of faith to think he would do attempt to break any and everything that got in his way. Then she mentioned Celeste.

What Vetis would have given in the past to be with her. Time had long since extinguished that spark and covered it in some sort of flame retardant substance. However he almost thought he heard a bit of jealousy in her voice as she said her name. Even after all this time though it was a surprise. He heard what she said but was trying to figure out the what she was really saying. Women a creature of mythical caliber. The power to say something and always mean something else. The problem with giving an answer was that he would have to figure out the riddle.

In order to reach the pen and paper her had to lean a bit closer to Tsubame if it was even for a second. He sensed something. As he moved back he decided until he knew what to say he could at least answer what was asked even if it wasnt what was ment.

'You may not be Celeste but you are Tsubame and that is fine with me. Living here so far is great and Im really trying to find a way to contribute financially. There is something about you that interests me and in this lonely new city I very much enjoy your company. "Talking" to you is something I hope to continue doing for as long as you will have me. I was very surprised to see your bruise and yes I am concerned.'

He motioned for her to come closer to him to read what he wrote instead of merely handing the pad over to her.

"Hmm?" Tsubame saw as Vetis motioned for her to come closer so that she could read what he had written. She scooted closer a bit curious as to why he did not just hand her the pad. She would place a small hand on his shoulder to steady herself as she read and then smiled. It made her happy to see that she did indeed mean something to Vetis and that he was happy here..she had been worried about that.

"I'm glad you're happy here then Vetis..I..well I'm glad to have you here" She smiled a bit as she suddenly would hug the large man. She smiled a bit as she gave Vetis a small peck on the cheek before she released him and just sat close to him. She did pick up the TV remote and handed it to Vetis. "You want to watch anything?"

[Vetis]

Vetis nodded yes a bit surprised. An embrace was always nice but a little peck on the cheek was not something he had expected. It was an enjoyable feeling that had come over him. For all the violence in his life it was pretty nice to know that at least someone liked him regardless of the level.

She didnt scoot to far away from him so he saw no harm in puttin his arm around her as long as he kept it non sleazy. Her shoulder would be a good spot. Her side suggested a comfort with one another he wasnt sure they yet had. It was also bruised so that was just a sign from destiny saying no. He wasnt sure how she would react but a bit of nervous energy built up in his gut. He didnt really mind what they watched just sitting with her was an activity in itself for the time being.

Tsubame felt Vetis's arm go around her shoulder and she smiled a bit. It was nice sitting and relaxing with him..she could not explain why though..her old girlish crush on him no longer existed but she still cared for the mute giant. She had always been loyal to him though for a reason she never could explain.

She looked towards the TV as she sat there letting the sound and images buffet her neither of them saying anything. Not a big surprise from Vetis though. She yawned though as she felt herself getting sleepy and her eyelids grew heavy. She shift slightly as she fell into Vetis as she slowly fell asleep

[Vetis]

After a while adreneline was replaced with fatigue. The tv became something of hypnosis as he felt himself drifting into the land of violence, the land of dreams. His head had finally leaned on hers. Four years ago he would never have pictured this but life has a way of throwing everything you know out of the door and throwing curveballs every single way.

That night he pictured the violence. The endless fight, the struggle against every enemy he had ever met. It was a fight he couldnt win but couldnt help but love. Every second of it was a gift. Tonight was different though. First Celeste was there fighting against him. Then Nena. Athena showed soon after. All of them fighting against him with all of their might. He stopped fighting but went to defending. This didnt stop the attack. They kept going. As he looked up he saw Tsubame in the corner. Her finger clenching into fists.

it was rather late. He woke up in a cold sweat with Tsubame still on him. He dared not move her as she looked rather comfortable there. For what seemed like an eternity in the dark he sit there wide awake. Mere seconds seeming like eons. All he could do was think, the ultimate punishment. He wanted to turn his brain off but it wouldnt. At some point the exhaustion took him back. By that point the sun had already rose.

Few Weeks Later.

Tsubame sighed as she entered her house wearing her silk robes. She had spent much of her day out front in the small shrine that she had had built outside her beach house to give a sense of home. She had been there with her tarot cards telling people fortunes. Seemed such Eastern mysticism was quite popular among the teens for some reason and she had had a good day of it but still it had worn on her.

She plopped down on the couch sighing contently as she sunk into the soft cushions. She would flip on the TV not really caring what it was. She smacked her lips a bit feeling thirsty of a sudden but she did not really feel like getting up. "Hurm..really wish I had gotten a drink before I sat down"

[Vetis]

Vetis walked in all sorts of battle worn. He had been in a lot of fights recently and then there was the fact he had been out late drinking and clubbing more than once. He kicked off his shoes outside and made his way down to the living room. He had gotten a bit more comfortable living with Tsubame so he didnt even think twice as he had taken off his shirt and threw it in the hamper without putting another one on. Vetis stood in the doorway looking at the back of Tsubames head as she was watching.... Sesame Street? Huh. The show was brought to viewers like them by the #4 and the letter L. Perhaps she had purchased stock in one of them, who knew. hearing her plea for a drink he had poured them both some Iced tea and handed her a glass before sitting down adjacent to her. It appeared it was time for Fraggle Rock. Nice!

Tsubame's eyes would focus as she realized just what was one the screen. "Why do I have this channel?" she would shrug a bit though going back to her tired not really caring. The TV was background noise after all. She only wanted something she could watch and not have to think at all. And ironically enough children's Television was perfect for that.

She heard Vetis enter and glanced to see him remove his shirt and chuck it in the hamper. It would seem she was going to have to do a load of laundry soon. She smiled at him as she saw that he was handing her a glass of iced tea. She smiled at him as she took a long drink from the tea sighing contently. "You can change the channel if you want"

[Vetis]

The remote passed to him he would begin to channel surf. Nothing good on the movie channels. Most of the regular channels had garbage on as well. As he flipped through the channels he thought he saw Big Daddy on. No instead it was the porn channel. And it wasnt big daddy. It was Big D Daddy. Tsubame hadnt locked her payper view and VEtis accidently hit send.

No sooner did he hit send did all the color from his face flush. It was his movie.... more specific it was his scene. Quickyl trying to change the channel before she noticed he accidently turned the volume up and broke the remote in half forgetting his own strength. Thinking fast he got up in front of the TV to block her view. He had just hoped she hadnt caught an eyeful of that. Even still questions were going to arise like why was there a porn on the tv and why was Vetis standing in front of it.

Tsubame would blink a few times as the sound of what she was pretty sure was pornography hit her ears. "What the..how" Tsubame stood suddenly as she heard a crack. She looked up to see Vetis in front of the the TV hiding what was on the screen from her view but no..that's not what she was concerned about no Tsubame was an odd girl to say the least.

No what caught her attention was the fact that he had broken her remote. "You broke my remote Vetis...you need to be more care.." Ok not that she had gotten a glimpse of the screen she was concerned about it. The man in the scene looked familiar...way too familiar. "Vetis...is..is that you?" She would sigh as she sat down her arms crossing. "You need to start explaining..personally though I'll say it..that's funny"
