Hitoraki Shrine..Beach Style

[Vetis]

Funny? Ouch his pride. For a second he would turn around to look at all the action. He even took a moment to pat himself on the back. Funny wasnt a word he would have used to describe... that. However he now moved and Tsubame would have a full view of Vetis in action.

Given his bruised ego he wasnt so concerned with it at the moment. He would write the following.


Someone made me an offer and paid me for it...

Funny? Really... Ouch.

As he would hand Tsubame the note he would realize his scene was still on and she would have gotten a good 5 minute view without him in the way. His skin was now a sort of gray color.

"Well i..oh is it..huh..ummm well hurmm..." Tsubame would get upa nd MANUALLY change the channel to Man vs Food. The host Adam was currently eating a piazza the size of a dining room table. "Why do I watch this show?" She smiled a bit as she turned back to Vetis and suddenly gave him a hug. It was a quick one as she headed for the door.

"I need to head tot he school for a few things and then I'll probably grab a bite to eat. I'll be home late so don't wait up..unless you want to pron star" She would laugh a bit before she left the house

[Vetis]

He got a hug out of it. Not a bad consulation prize. Quickly looking to his left and then his right he would switch it back to his movie. Seriously how many other times was he going to get to watch himself perform. He didnt see anything funny about the way he did the things he did.

A silent gasp as he would think that perhaps he was just plain bad. She was a porno chick, it was her job to act happy. Vetis took out his super secret list of things to do.

1. Go grocery shopping

2. Do Laundry

3. Study numerous porn movies

4. Buy a new remote

As he put his list away he would finish on the big screen. He was credited as Thor. Niiice. He changed the channel before shutting off the T.V. He didnt want the Tsu to know he had flipped back.

There really had not been a whole lot on T.V. He went to his room and got his lap top. He threw on some music and played some stsrcraft 2. Before he knew it hours had passed and he didnt even realize it. Damn game sucks ya in and never lets ya go.

The door opened late that night as a red haired woman walked into the house. She had unlocked the door with a key so there was no forced entry. The living room was dark and she would smile and seem to sigh with relief. She would be able to relax a bit before she talked to Vetis.

Sitting down on the couch she would flip on the TV and sigh as she was greeted by more Man vs Food. Seh would look around for the remote before she realized that the one she had had been broken by Vetis. "Well this will have to do then." she sunk into the couch a bit.

[Vetis]

A confused look was on Vetis' face. He had been sitting in the kitchen at this point still on his lap top. The sound of the door opening caught his attention as a complete stranger walked into the house. He caught a glimpse of only her long red hair. She made her way to the living room fairly fast and it sounded like she had turned the t.v. on.

A feeling of "huh" kind of went over him. Tsubame had not made mention of anyone coming over to visit. There was no luggage or something. Perhaps she had another room mate that was out of town for a while. Maybe she had a girlfriend who had the key to the house? No that didnt seem right.

Completely interested at this point he would make his way to the living room and stare at this red head lady sitting on the couch watching tv like she owned the place. The living room light was still off so he only had the faint glow of the tv to go by. Who was this woman?

Tsubame would suddenly look up from her show as she heard the faint sound of footsteps. "Hello Vetis is that you?" Tsubame's voice sounded the same, ok maybe only a hair different but still Vetis would recognize it. She reached over and turned on the light as she stood up and walked towards him her hand outstretched.

"Ok Vetis..before you attack me...calm down and listen..this is kinda sound very strange but this is me..I am Tsubame..I just..well." she explained about the Valor project and about how if he had seen a glowing kid around the school that was why and also that was why she looked the way she did now. "I know that sounds crazy but I can prove it is me..you broke my remote because you changed the channel to a porn channel staring you"

[Vetis]

Vetis took a moment to pinch himself and make sure he wasnt dreaming. Her story was so incredibly far fetched that he couldnt be awake. A sting of pain in his cheek. No he was awake all right. He hadnt recalled doing any drugs lately. He had done that one thing that one time with those guys, but that was years ago. Was this a flash back? Was he hallucinating a beutiful red haired, full figured Tsubame? If it wasnt a flash back then maybe he had brain damage....

He poked at Tsubame's shoulder to see if she was really real. After each poke he would have a suspicious but quizzical look on his face as she was in fact real. He pinched himself one more time to make sure that he was really awake. But if it sort of looks like a Tsubame, and it definately talks like a Tsubame it must be a Tsubame riiight? Then there was the fact she knew exactly what had happened before the original Tsubame had left the house.

Trying to process and take all this information in was just a lot. He had himself a seat and looked at her funny. Every few seconds he would look away like he was deep in thought, like he almost got it and then... denied. When that would happen he would just stare back at this new red headed wonder in front of him.

Tsubame smiled a bit at the confusion on Vetis's face. In his place she would probably have been equally as confused but still it was amusing to watch his reactions. He would poke her a few times as she would reach out and poke him back. She supposed hew as seeing if she was really real.

"Vetis I am real this is me..and yes I'm well aware just how weird this all is but still...it's me ok" she would reach out a put a hand on his pinched cheek smiling. "The Valor injection just must of aged me by a bit..though Valo had said something about locked in time or something I'm not really sure..point is it's me and I'm ok alright?" She smiled as she took her hand away. "Now then...did you buy a new remote?"

[Vetis]

Shit... he had not yet purchased a remote. He put his hand behind his head as if to scratch his neck and let out a bit of nervous laughter. Then shook his head no. Leave it to a woman to go through an almost magical transformation and still remember when the man doesnt do something around the house. So it seemed as though he would be the one to manually change the channels at her whim until he picked one up.

Her personality hadnt taken much of a shift, not that he had witnessed anyways. Still it was unusual seeing a slightly more grown up Tsubame. He would find himself staring at her when she wasnt looking. He figured for at least tonight even if he were to get caught staring, he did have an excuse. Its not everyday your roomate goes out and comes back with blood red hair and aged a few years. Still he had already found himself attracted to her before. She had a cute quite charm about her. Her looks were never lacking. She was easily a 7 before. Now she was a 10. It was sort of awkward having a roomate of the opposite sex who was cute and also pleasant to be around. Now how the hell was he going to deal with her having that same personality and looking even better? He was always a strong fighter and yet women were always a losing battle. Go figure.

Tsubame would notice Vetis staring at her and sigh. "Stare all you want I'm not going to morph back..I've even tried using my Qi to see if that would cause it but no..this is me for now" she would raise her hands to her sides palms up as she sorta shrugged. "Well in any case..I'm glad my classes end soon because with this appearance it's going to be awkward being in school.

Tsubame woudl sit back down and look back tot he TV. "Well if you're up to it you want to watch some TV with me Vetis..looks like a new Man vs Food." She pointed to the TV.

[Vetis]

He never really thought about it before just now. She only knew him by his nickname. By a name he chose for himself when he decided to become the strongest fighter. Other than that though neither one of them really knew each other. He knew things about her, like what she did for a profession, things that had happened back in New York, and she apparently liked Man vs Food. Still they were living together and they were more or less complete strangers. This "Valor" thing was probably the most she had ever told him about herself. It was sort of odd.

He grabbed something to write on and in quite the plain sentence wrote

"You can call me James if youd like"

He would pass this to her as he would sit to watch tv with her. However he was hoping that this small step would lead to something else.

Tsubame would watch blinking a few times at the screen wondering about the food that Adam was eating. She coudl cook a lot of what was on this show though probably not a good as the people on the show did. After all a lot of that looked really really tasty and some of it just a bit scary.

She took the note from Vetis and smiled. She had known that his real name was James for a long time but she had never let herself call him by that name. After all to her he had always been Vetis, the demon the fighter. She smiled a bit as she would kiss him on the cheek again but this time lingered a bit near his ear. "Thank you..James" she would whisper before she scooted close to him and watched the show.

[Vetis]

That was a surprise. He had given her that seeing if perhaps a conversation would strike up. They could get to know one another and perhaps that would open the door to a host of other things. That was what he intended to happen, instead he ended up with that feeling.

She kissed his cheek and whispered into his ear. She had scooted closer to him. A weak feeling over took his whole body. He knew exactly what this feeling was, though it didnt make things much easier. there was a sort of emptiness in the pit of his stomach. His entire body felt hot. His brain was literally going a mile a minute. his body was producing all sorts of pheramones.

He did not know what to do. It was like the part of him that held all his courage was on vacation. The feel of her lips on his skin, that whispering voice, it was a sign. It wasnt the first time she had given him an opening. At least he didnt think so.... but what if it was all in his head. How awkward would it be if he made a move and it was met with rejection? How much worse would it be if she expected him to and he didnt?

It wasnt time to test the waters it was time for action. No if he played to many flirting games until she spelled it out for him he would lose his chance. He put his arm around Tsubame and pulled her close to him. He turned his head to face her and he went in stopping just short of her lips. One could laugh about the advice given in Hitch but the 90-10 thing was spot on. If this were going to happen she would finish that 10% and they would finally kiss. If it was not ment to be at least he had saved himself the embarresment of a forced kiss. It might have only been fractions of a second but the wait was a cruel eternity.

"Huh!!??" Tsuabme's eyes went wide as Vetis pulled her closer. She was a bit startled by his action. She found her heart beating hard as she was drawn ever so close. Her chest felt a bit tight and her face was starting to match her new hair color. She was expecting to feel his lips on her but then he would pause only a few centimeters from her face. She blinked a few times as she took paused for a few seconds just looking at him before finally she did it.

She leaned forward and kissed him back. Her arms were still at her sides as she was really unsure what to do after that. The kiss lasted for only a brief second as she pulled away but it had happened..there was no undoing that. "i..I guess doing that..well.." she would scratch the back of her head a bit. "I just wanted to do that"

[Vetis]

Well the initial fear of rejection was gone. Having heard the words I wanted to do that also put him at ease. The taste of her lips still fresh on his own he could not help but smile. He had wanted to get back in line for that ride but...

She did pull back rather quickly though didnt she? Still one could only move foward from here. Perhaps there was something he just had not known or perhaps it was just first kiss jitters. This was not a mystery that needed to be solved right here and right now. Now he would just enjoy holding her in his arms for the time being, time had frozen for him. He kept his smile, sly and inviting, his gaze not letting her go. This was fine. If there was another kiss to be had she knew where his lips were. Besides taking a moment to really let this sink in was by no means a bad thing. Her next reactions, or words or anything would give him some sort of clue as to what she was thinking.
