The days just kept getting longer, only gathering with the progressive boredom Jaus had been suffering. There was the need for something to break in his mundane lifestyle of training and waiting. Back when Kaia had been more presently around he at least had someone to communicate with, for the time being he felt kind of alone here. Though he knew Spike had things to tend to, training with the others of his clan, twas the nature of being the Vanguard he supposed.
Jaus sat on a bench long enough to shift the stack of books in his hand and readjust the toothpick in his mouth before setting on again in the hall. To say his pace was slow would be an understatement considering how long it took him to cross the pathway. It didn't help that by this time of day he was surrounded by a near army of students hurrying to their classes. Though punctuality wasn't a concern for him. At least not now.

He needed more{Kang Enters [/color] California didn't prove to be quite as disappointing as he previously thought, in fact it was rather the opposite. These people were... Strong. In New York, sure there were lots of strong people, but in the long run they usually depended on large numbers or a gun. The guys here were brawlers, and did things their own way. Kang was surprised to have actually have draws, and even losses here. He liked it more and more. Losses means theres room for growth. Fighting people as strong or stronger than you meant room for growth. He wanted to become stronger. As long as he could continue to become stronger, his sister would become safer. Having Maxwell watch over his sister, and having her being able to go to school safely had given Kang lots of free time, and it was just what he was looking for. He was walking in the school, once again, looking for someone that interested him. Fighting for him was more of a way of life, a religion perhaps even. It was to be placed higher than anything else, and was th fastest and easiest way to learn. For him, at least. There. His fighting instincts kicked in, his muscles flexed, the fire in his eyes roared. He saw his next challenger. Everyone was rushing to get to there classes but one person. He stood out from the rest, and he looked like he had the time. He walked up to beside the man, and attempted to grab his attention by matching his pace. "Hey. You look strong."[/b] He grinned a mischievous grin, squinting slightly. He was ready for whatever was to happen next.

It would seem as the longer he went walking pacing his way towards his class the crowd was thinning out, not entirely gone mind you still the random assortment of those who decided their own means of showing to class late. Predictable sorts that decided passing period was namely for chatting and then the first five minutes of class was for passing. A small grin barely noteworthy in the corner of his mouth.
He wouldn't have noticed of course when the boy next to him matched pace with him, namely because people did it all the time, be it a mocking gesture or just wanted to feel included with someone that looked like him.
"Hey. You look strong."[/b]
Jaus would stop and turn slowly towards the boy looking down at him with a cold expression measuring the width of his features making note that he seemed rather excited by that. Was he gay? hitting on Jaus possibly. It'd never happened to him before but he'd feared the moment when it'd happen. How would he react?
"So?" The dull winded response coming back in a deep tone not acknowledging his statement with a yes or a no.

""So?"
The guy stopped, and looked at Kang in a rather dead toned expression. This place... California... Was no where near as exciting as New York was. The shine in Kang's eyes dulled down a bit. He didn't like this guy. He didn't have any drive, any motivation. However, just because he wasn't as enthused about this fight, didn't mean that he was going to back down. Kang never backed down from a fight. Just because this dude was around 6' 2" made Kang want to fight him even more. A Napoleon complex, if you will.
"So, How about we put your size and looks to the test? Here, there, anywhere. Still don't understand? Here, I'll put it in words anyone can understand. I want to kick your ass."[/b]
Kang hated having to explain himself. He wanted to talk with his fists, right now, right then.
Just because he wanted to fight didn't mean he would initiate a fight with someone unwilling. Kang had his fighters pride, and he wouldn't hurt anyone without a reason to. However, when he did have a reason, it didn't matter, be it woman, child, etc. The longer he stared at this guy, the less he liked him. However, a good fight could always change his impression. He always admired the strong in a way, be them friend, or foe.

Drive wasn't the concern, rather it was the purpose. Jaus always sought a need to use his power for something to be accomplished, aimless violence such as all these riots proved to be of no interest but...

"HAHAHAHA." Jaus would laugh openly, it was the first genuine show of emotion he'd expressed here in ages. The bluntness of this guy was refreshing. "You sure you're up for it?"
Jaus would express an opportunity to second guess himself not planning on saying so in a condescending manner but a respectable means, fighter to fighter. Since he viewed everyone on at least an even level of contention.
Without a second to question himself Jaus would let his left leg covertly sneak between the boy's stance, seeing as they were still in something of an informal means of speech his guard more than likely was yet to be up. An even greater reason why the question was employed. With a smooth jerk Jaus' leg would kick to the right and then to the left on Kang's shoes forcing his base to be extended unnaturally. Suddenly Jaus' left hand would form into a fist rocketing towards Kang's face hoping that the combination of all three regardless of strength would level him to the floor.
