Here is were i'll be posting reviews of movies, games and music from the perspective of my character.
I take requests for reviews, and i also have family members in the gaming and music industry, so i can get pretty much anything before other people, at least in those two areas.
Don't post anything here though- I'll take requests and responses via PM.

What's Ablaze? **Music** Disturbed, "Asylum" My decision: 8 out of 10Disturbed. My thing with this band is, when it started, they were less then okay. A decent sound, but not altogether outstanding in their own right. They came up with a new sound, a sort of mix between the music and sound of Metallica, but also with the little edge of thrash metal. For me, a man who prefers to delve his tastes into people with a straight vocal purity, i wasn't impressed. I even made fun of a few of my friends who actually decided that they were brilliant. As time went on though, i had to swallow my pride. First off, this new album is a culmination of talent that i didn't think was possible for them. From Ten Thousand Fists onward, Disturbed just kept getting better. Vocally, Musically, and Lyrically. Asylum is by far the best of Disturbed i have heard to date. They bring a new feel, a new vibe that can't be explained through words alone. Kicking off what i believe will be record sales for them is the song "Remnants". A straight instrumental, this goes to show you that they aren't all about thrash and kill, which is how i viewed them even through "Indestructible." The song "Asylum" is next in line, a far softer sound, yet sharp and hard too. Brilliantly sung and played strict but vibrant, this piece is a lead up to my favorite on the album, "Infection". I listened to this beat several times in a row before i finally put it down. There are a few snags, such as a rather uncatchy "Warrior" and a disappointing "My child", but they make up for it with songs like "Never Again" and their cover of U2's "I Still Havent Found What I'm Looking For". When put up against my very hard to please standards, i give "Asylum" a rock steady 8 out of ten. A Definite must have, this album will rock and please the large fanbase of Disturbed, and even get a few thumbs up from those outside their circle. Next Review: Linkin Parks "A Thousand Suns"

Whats Ablaze? **Music** Linkin Park, "A Thousand Suns" [/size] My Decision: 2 out of 10Ah, of all things. First off, let me state that i am a HUGE Linkin Park fanatic. I mean, i bought their albums the moment they came out, when they first started off, and i listened to them steady through every album i didnt buy. They had me rocking out to "Numb" and "One step Closer" for WEEKS after i heard them. I LOVE Linkin Park. But, my job here is to listen to the music and give honest reviews. Here goes nothing. Blah. That pretty much sums it up. Linkin Park went from this great, independent sound to a calm, mellow, even techno beat. When you start off the Album, you kinda nod your head a bit, like you know that even though this wasn't what you expected, you hope it will blow your socks off later. But later never comes. Its slow, soft, and a total disappointment. They went down a totally different creative path in order to bring to light a new sound for them, i know, but in my opinion all it will do is ruin the view of them that people have come to accept and love. Sure, they sound "ok", and the music isn't TERRIBLE, i guess, but piece the sound of the instrumentals with the powerful voice of Chester Bennington and it just sounds so...off. Its like petting a cat the wrong way, or watching someone put clothes on a pomeranian- cute, but just not right in some way or another. If your going for a more relaxed sound and rap, or feel like listening to a different voice sing to Shiny Toy Guns-type music, this album you will enjoy. But if your like me, and praying for an album from LP that will literally make you cry in ecstasy, your going to have to keep praying. Linkin Park will have some definitive work ahead of them to earn my vote of confidence again. Not to say they are never worth listening to, as they are, but i'll definitely be rocking out to their old stuff. I wish i could at least say that one of the songs made me smile with memories of a far greater time, but i can't. None of these feeble songs made me even think of Linkin Park. I don't know if i can stress the amount of frustration i had after listening to them. Lets just say, that I was not amused. My decision stands at 2 out of 10. And thats not because i believe this album deserved a two out of ten. I give them this simply for old times sake. I may try again for future releases, but please, PLEASE, Linkin Park, don't defecate on your next album, or you will reluctantly lose a die-hard fanboy.
