In the Sporting Mood Across the field was the blonde blurb, or so she was now referred to in a joking sense by Jayr, Dylan Cross was avidly practicing her footwork on a pair of balls. Pun Intended. The quick transition from cheering to soccer wasn't an easy one to overcome but studies suggested that students in multiple sporting roles at school tended to adapt better to life in general. Why would this matter to a party girl like Dylan? In truth it didn't she was simply following a trend and when Jayr got talking it was hard to stop her from doing anything she put her mind to.
'POP'
The motioning of her ankle rolling and plopping the ball in the bridge of her shoe and shin before knocking it upwards and playing a hop-scotch resemblance to it. 'Pop'. Up again and again slowly retreating back on her heels.
'PLOOOmmp!'
"Ouch! Watch it Ditz!" A harsh scowling voice trembled from a floored red-head now only barely managing to get to her feet as she stood just a head shorter than Dylan ready to poke an eye out. "Oopsies." Dylan replied innocently to Jess mildly dismissing the situation entirely before starting up again.
Really she could get the hang of this.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* 'Bitch.'
Jess thought to herself in silence pacing herself away from Dylan across the field. Her attire as always the same only slightly altered. Still bearing the resembling black punk features including the tight shirt on her back, but now thanks to Jayr she was forced into Soccer cleats and shorts. Jess grimaced strutting at a slow pace trying to address the concern of her pale legs that seemed to reflect whatever light grasped them.
'Damn her, Damn them all.'
Narrowing her eyes she'd make her way to Jayr's side not aiding a hand to help as Jayr seemed to be in an excessively controlling mood. Weight pressed to her back as she dragged out a bag of balls all the while holding a clipboard in the other hand. Chicken scratch and limited drawings adorned it cleverly drawing attention away from the pinkness of the clipboard adorned with butterflies and flowers.
"So why are we doing this exactly?"
No reply, her body just froze and turned upwards with a warmth to it gestured in a smile. Slowly she'd wait on the words bearing out but having trouble lingering on them for too long as her mind felt easily tugged by the sound of Dylan in the background cry out, "Ouf". Hopefully the bitch had fallen on a sprinkler.
"For fun, I didn't exactly see a team roster going on, or much activities at all." *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* "So why are we doing this?" Jess repeated herself in a dumb sense just trying to get attention from Jayr as she seemed to get slightly peeved over repeating herself once further but knowing well enough not to bother considering Jess just wanted that attention.
Meanwhile Joshua had been on seen steadily approaching from the sidelines with his own get-up. Wide-beater and some work-out shorts no doubt taken from the P.E. lockers due to the name that was not his own sporting the front corner of the pants.
"Hope I'm not late." He'd say with a smile taking to jog as he'd notice their attentions' turn. He didn't want to absorb to much of their time in striding out slowly without concern to their schedules. Regardless of a team getup thus far Jayr was sporting a small army.
"Not at all, in fact you're just in time." Jayr held out a wicked smile turning to Jess quickly as some sort of telepathic message passed between them.
"Dare I ask what?"
Jess was quicker to reply in nearly knocking over Jayr to grab for the cones in her hand and suddenly thrusting them into Josh's hands and shouting in an even ended tone. "Setting up cones for drills!"
A helpless look to Jayr for support before turning his head downwards and sighing, "Goody." *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Conjoined laughter from the both of them as they turned to one another again leaving Joshua to his labors before a lightning bolt thought popped into Jayr's head quickly realizing what they'd been missing out on. That was right in soccer they needed goals and of course the goal stands were on the other side of the school resting in their collective bins. This would be a monumental task. But then again. She had a plan for that. "Jess could you get Dylan real quick." Jayr would mumble half-chewing on a pen as she did so. "Dy-""I mean go and get here Jess." A respectable gesture before turning back to her little book of aid, "Fine." Jess would tromp off with a slow regard. A smooth smile set in place calmly as Jayr considered if anyone would bother to show up. Of course it'd be tough without a coach but then again she'd learned well enough from her experiences the last few months how these things functioned. "Yeay planning."

Who was hosting the soccer try-outs?
Jayr.
Why else would Donnie be in shorts and a tee shirt? He barely wore such things as well as the fact he barely did any sports... only sports he does is pretty much is boxing.
He showed up on the field and of course the first person he approached was Jayr. Though this time he had approached her from the front and gave her ample time to notice he was there so he wouldn't scare her again.
"Hey there." he would stand tall looking around... yup he wasn't too excited to be doing sports. He saw who was there and it was Jayr's little possy. "Nice turn out" he would say with that smile that would signify one of his cheesy jokes. ^.^

The sound of dull footsteps could be heard as Riley shuffled onto the sports field, dressed in casual attire befitting the request that he had been asked of. He had been asked if he would be interested in sticking around for the formation of a soccer team, and being the goofball he was, joked around for a bit before finally accepting. One hand casually shoved in his jeans pocket, Riley didn't mind, to be honest. Although he was more of the basketball type, it wouldn't hurt to stick around. That was possibly the only reason he would even be at the sports field in the first place, you would never find Riley here unless he had a very good reason to. Giving a small friendly wave to Jayr, he took a seat on the very bottom row of the bleachers, a water bottle clutched in his free hand, as he heard some of the guys sitting up higher on the bleacher began to whisper amongst themselves, was it honestly that shocking that he knew her? Maybe... if you're not really part of the "clique" to begin with, which is probably why the guys above him were whispering like there was no tomorrow. But that was something Riley never really was part of, he was more of the type that liked to stick to the same small group of friends. Placing his water bottle down beside him, Riley leaned back against the bleacher behind him, his hands resting behind him, as he waited.

The gang coming together. "Ouf."
The gush of wind exiting her lungs as Dylan tried her hand at bobbling the ball at the tip of her toe trying to keep it in the air as long as possible, certainly not the point of the game hell she knew this, but it was all the rage at parties. Often the coolest guy in the room was the one who could keep it afloat the longest holding it to himself. She sought to accomplish this pillar of power, however it would seem as though gravity had other things in mind.
"Hey clutz, had a bit too much to drink last night." Jess would protest impatiently her hands angled tautly towards her hips, a tapping foot pounding into the ground with that level eyed glare descending upon her intimidatingly.
"Um....Maybe." Dylan would reply innocently from her grounded perch looking rather comfortable as a hand held her in place and the other lifted into her hair scrambling the threads of blonde about in a frizzy motion. "Just an insy bit." She'd smile innocently back, only furthering the anguish from Jess. *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* "Just an insy bit."
Jess would find herself dumbfounded, her head angled to the side thinking to herself if this girl was really that dumb that she didn't get Jess was insulting her. Her jaw hanging a bit open at a hinged angle looking seconds from strangling her in an infantile rage. Hands balled at her sides preventing such a costly out lash, all the while managing to fume persistently though her nose as Dylan sprung up with a neutral demeanor without making eye contact and springing over to Jayr.
"Hey Don!"
The perked voice hastening her irritation further as Jess coiled and cringed at another new face entering the fray. Now this was a party; Donavon and Dylan battling for Jayr's attention all the while little ol' me has to put up with their bounciness.
A slight smirk of insanity crossing her face as though she had cracked ready to explode with a deranged agenda. "Hey Jess hurry along!" Jayr would chant with a pure smile lighting not only her face but everyone around her as well. Jess' own face would turn slowly arching over her back with extreme masochism looking fevered and on the edge of murder.
"Coming....." She'd reply trying to be cheery however failing and sounding much more akin to the reaper hunting for souls. *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Jog.....Cone....Jog....Cone.
He was off to a bit of a rush noting curiously with a glance here and there over his shoulder paying attention as to how the group was formulating, Jayr swaying at center with her clipboard chastened to her chest scrawling letters in here and there. Probably some fancy artwork as if would be before.
*Thump*
"Ouch..."
Josh's eyes teetering up towards the large metal pole reaching to the sky. Man he'd crossed all the way into left field of the baseball diamond. Cursing himself Josh would return to his agenda of setting the cones out evenly managing to redirect his gaze onto the floor where he wouldn't be tempted to daydream of cute little fantasies.
All Done. Having set the last cone aside Joshua would turn quickly inward jogging in at what pace he could manage to unite in the circle. Ready as everyone else was it'd seem to get this practice off to a rolling start. Pardon the Pun. *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Jayr grinned sheepishly to herself having sent Jess out on the errand she knew the small girl hated but it was a start in the teamwork connection process. Jayr had a silly school girl belief that if you stuck people with each other enough they began to put up with each other and eventually form a sort of trust. A sturdy nod as Jayr chewed on the end of her pen looking down at the clipboard showing little more than pink butterflies and flowers sprouting from the earth.
"Hey there."
Jayr's head would incline upward slowly to meet eyes with Donnie a quick smile crossing her face before letting him get closer to make a better welcoming gesture. "Nice turn out"
"Hey." She'd take a step forward an hug him in a large gesture before backing up and letting her hand place a lock of hair over her ear. "Well the school's still circulated around fighting so don't expect much for a while." Jayr would say back partially joking back and partially disappointed realizing the real nature of this place.
"But glad you decided to show." Jayr would say looking up at him admirably before casting her gaze across the field towards Riley who chose to be little loner in the corner and not join the group but signal his appearance by waving. Jayr would return the gesture before including a hand motion to suggest he join them. A tilt of the head only accenting the motion.
"Hey Don!"
Jayr would turn back whether he chose to be included or not quickly rejoining the informal huddle slowly being created. Donnie at the center so to speak, Jayr at his right and Dylan approaching towards his left with Jayr defiantly standing towards Jayr's right side with her arms tucked in close a clear statement she'd not be mixing well with others. As for Joshua, the boy would slowly jog in taking the position across from Donnie and Jayr letting his eyes trail to hers with an awkward smile and nodding to go noticed.
"Alright so this is try-outs. Though considering we have just enough for a make-shift team you've all passed the qualifying round." Jayr would cheer with a bright smile clapping a bit to make it feel that much more important. A quick giggle for her own sake before starting back at ground one.
"So what I want to do here for practice is work on your control, I'm sure you're all strong enough to kick the ball forever but how will you handle playing with a partner and knowing when and where to use that power." A nod out of confidence as she stepped back from the group pointing quickly to Donnie and Riley. "Partners quickly; Donnie, Riley. Jess and Dylan. And Josh and I."
Jayr would say quickly jogging to the other end of the cones now lined up as a makeshift box standing ten feet by ten feet being a relatively small box.
"Josh and I'm going to be defense first and then Josh for the second group. Your job is to work together to keep the ball away from me as long as possible while keeping control of the ball inside the square."
No doubt it was a challenge, not only was this a small space but it also meant that they'd have to manage their power and learn to quickly adapt to a changing game as Jayr could easily handle a five foot radius on her own, the extra space was more for them.

"HEADS UP!"
A black and white ball came out of nowhere and beaned Jayr in the back of the head. Two boys stepped forward, one glowing, the other just shaking his head at his friend's idiocy.
"Damnit Orion. We do NOT hit people with soccer balls kicked at full force." "But it's Jayr! She'll be fine, I've done worse." "What do you mean you've done worse! You know what, never mind. I don't want to know."
The two jogged forward to stop in front of Jayr. Orion was grinning as he walked right past her, bumping into her slightly as he went over to pick up the ball. Meanwhile, the other boy shook his head once again at his friend's rudeness before extending his hand.
"Sorry about Orion. I can tell you've already met, so I'll skip past warning you. Name's Michael: I'm a friend of his, as annoying as that is at times."
And that was when he got beaned in the stomach by the soccer ball, which ended with Michael doubling over in agony before collapsing to the ground. Orion shot a dirty look at Michael.
"Asshole. Get up, I know your not that injured."
As Michael stopped his mock groaning and stood, Orion turned to Jayr with a mock bow.
"Orion Smith, soccer player, at your service. Out of curiosity, do you need this back?"
With that, Orion held up an item that looked remarkably like Jayr's cellphone. Again.

Riley turned his head to face forward as he saw Jayr return his wave and motion for him to join them, her head tilted slightly as he returned Jayr's gesture with a smile torn between amusement and exasperation before getting up off the bleachers and heading towards the group. Standing somewhat off to side, his water bottle in his hand as he folded his arms lightly across his chest, Riley wasn't really used to this whole group vibe, it was something he was still getting used to these days. Well that was encouraging, he passed the qualifying round, even though he hadn't planned on joining the soccer team until some "gentle" persuasion from Jayr changed his mind. He then saw Jayr point to him and the tall guy in the "center" of the huddle you could say, as Riley turned to Donnie and casually shrugged his shoulders. "Guess we're partners then." He then saw Jayr had jogged over to the other end of the cones that were lined up as a makeshift box of sorts, explaining what they were going to be doing.
"Got--" "HEADS UP!" "--it?" A soccer ball would come flying out of nowhere, Riley cringing as it beaned Jayr in the back of the head. Two guys then came onto the field, one glowing, the other one... not glowing. If this was an anime, he'd have a sweat drop on the back of his head as the non-glowing guy apologized for his friend, Orion, action, only to get socked in the stomach with the soccer ball, collapsing onto the ground in agony. Riley just stared blankly at the situation, as Orion held up a cellphone that belonged to Jayr, before snapping out his stupor and looking around, quickly realizing his partner had gone AWOL, as he raised his arm like he was in class and Jayr was the teacher. "Uh, I hate to interrupt the introductions, but I think Donnie has gone AWOL..."

Keep your eye on the ball "Partners quickly; Donnie, Riley. Jess and Dylan. And Josh and I."
Dylan turned to Jess with a graceful smile quickly trotting next to the girl and bumping her with a skillfully place elbow to the side recieving a bit of a surprising reation when Jess squirmed almost neglecting the feeling of an actual touch. It was weird but Dylan supposed to each their own and merely shrugged with a sheepish smile before turning about to Riley and Donnie with a slight guided smile.
"You're up first," A subtle wink towards them as she knew first was always the type to be on the chopping block.
"HEADS UP!"
Dumbly Dylan looked up quickly pivoting around for some kind of mortor to come beaming out of the sky only to catch the faint blurr of the soccer ball pass her vision. Shock it'd seem painted across her face momentarily *~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Oh Gawd No.
Jess turned slightly stupified as she found whom she was partnered with. A slight glare of disgust that was apparently lost on Dylan as she tromped on over placing a harnessed elbow to the lower ribs. Jess recoiled quickly feeling the gullet of pain strike into her noticeably and finding Dylan to be lacking a touch of anything moral.
"You're up first,"
Good, at least they could watch as the idiots toppled over one another. Jess fumed slightly letting her hands raise to cross over her torso glaring menacingly at.....THAT PIECE OF GRASS. Yeah That piece of grass definitely deserved all her angst.
"HEADS UP!"
Being the apparent smart one of the outfit Jess lept to the floor covering her head protectively as she felt the woosh of the ball cross over her head nailing Jayr in hers. A balling laughter struck her letting Jess roll out on her bum kicking her feet in the air as her hands worked to restrain her ribs from busting.
Bye the time Jess was finished she looked up to see as Jayr gave a menacing glare before turning about to what she was doing. Her and Josh quickly scuffling about on the defense. *~*~*~*~*~*~*~* "Orion Smith, soccer player, at your service. Out of curiosity, do you need this back?"
Joshua scoffed at the inherant arrogance of this kid, he was acting like a total child in front of Jayr. Arms crossed over his torso as he looked at what they had to deal with finding himself glad that this Orion kid came with a bit of an adult figure to keep him in line for the time being.
"Uh, I hate to interrupt the introductions, but I think Donnie has gone AWOL..."
Jayr would quickly look over towards Riley and where the blur that was Donnie. A slight frown crossing her features as one could tell she was obviously thinking things through.
"Alright, well I guess for now you get to partner up with Orion, at least until Michael is recovered and Donnie gets back from his potty break."
Jayr would giggle before quickly skipping backwards from the scene her hands at her sides as she ushered for them to go. *~*~*~*~*~*~*~* "HEADS UP!"Jayr couldn't move fast enough as the speeding ball beamed her in the back of the head. A quick shriek as she turned about red in the face from a sense of embarrasment quickly coping to the situation and returning to her normal shade as she acknowledged the trouble maker. "Damnit Orion. We do NOT hit people with soccer balls kicked at full force." "But it's Jayr! She'll be fine, I've done worse." "What do you mean you've done worse! You know what, never mind. I don't want to know."She hesitated opting to fume there and let his friend scorn him until of course he was nailed in the stomach with the soccer ball. A sense of motherliness swept over her opting to help but once more hesitating between the choice of two emotions. Anger or sympathy. Ending in both as she froze there. "Orion Smith, soccer player, at your service. Out of curiosity, do you need this back?"He'd be dangling her phone out to her, a vengeful sigh roiling through her lips as Jayr lashed out with unbelievable speed to snatch it pack tossing it aside to her bag. "Hands off." She'd say quickly with a slight twinge of threatening willing to go through with it next time he took her stuff. "Uh, I hate to interrupt the introductions, but I think Donnie has gone AWOL..."Jayr would quickly look over towards Riley and where the blur that was Donnie. A slight frown crossing her features as one could tell she was obviously thinking things through. "Alright, well I guess for now you get to partner up with Orion, at least until Michael is recovered and Donnie gets back from his potty break."Her emotions back to her otherwise neutral state Jayr felt composed. The soccer ball at center between her feet as she'd pass it off to orion first, opting that since he was the most amitious for this posistion he work for it just as well. Hopefully he'd work well with Riley otherwise their team effort would just as soon fail.
