-- The left middle and index fingers moved adjust the circular spectacles that rested on the bridge of my nose as icy blue serpentine eyes scanned the hallways. At the moment, I was doing one of the things I did best. Roam. The school seemed interesting enough, but I hadn’t seen any action. Yet.
All in all, it doesn’t seem to be much different from 552… Besides the layout.
-- Those eyes of mine peered out one of the large windows in the hallway as I casually passed by it, getting a brief view of Long Beach and everything, and narrowly missing a collision with another student.
“Ah… Sorry.”
Best watch where I’m going…

Saito?
Keith wandered around the hallways of 259 out of sheer boredom. He had spotted another familiar person that he had known within 552. It was Saito. It seemed that Saito had also transferred to 259. Keith had met quite a few 499 transfers. But was a relief to meet another 552er.
However, to Keith, Saito wasn't just another 552er. They both have somewhat of a past together and are connected by at least two people. However, Saito wouldn't remember Keith. But hey, Keith was a new person at the moment. Looking for a fresh start.
But hey, might as well talk with him. Adjusting his shades, Keith nodded to himself and walked towards Saito.
"Saito?" Keith asked in a thick English accent.

“…!”
oO!?
Did someone just say my name?
-- That was curious, seeing as I had just transferred in after all. I turned in the direction of the thick English accent, and I blinked a couple times. I didn’t even know this guy! Even more curious.
“Yes, that would be me… Although I can’t say I remember you, sadly.”
-- I adjusted my glasses again in the same fashion as before. Seemed like that was becoming a bit of a habit now that I actually started wearing them.

Of course, Keith didn't expect Saito to remember him. At least, Keith was doing something right. Nobody from 552 really knew Keith and that was pretty much the way he wanted it. But, it was a pretty difficult with Saito for various reasons. Keith adjusted his shades a bit.
"Ah, not many people at 552 know me and vice-versa," Keith explained.
He cleared his throat, "you could say we know a few of the same acquaintances."

Not many people know him, eh?
-- Well, he obviously knew about 552. Perhaps he had been a student at one point there like I had? Possible. Even if I had been there for 4 years, chances were I didn’t get to see every student, let alone socialize with them.
“I see.”
-- A few acquaintances, eh? Well, the first question that popped into my mind was,
Which acquaintances?
-- I’ll admit it, I wasn’t that much of a social butterfly, so there wouldn’t be THAT many acquaintances in my own opinion. Ah, well. That question would be answered. Eventually. Hopefully.
“Well, that’s good enough for me. How’s life here?”

“Well, that’s good enough for me. How’s life here?”
Kinda like the same as 552. However, it was much more different, Keith had to admit. Overall, it was a nice change in environment. A good place to start fresh and all, especially being on the other coast.
The only other 552 student that Keith knew was Kate McHallin. That was about the only other 552er that he knew. There were rumors about Leon being around. Keith would have to seek Leon out soon.
"Over and all, a nice change in environment," Keith answered.

“Yes… I agree.”
-- The change of environment was good. I was slowly taking a liking to Long Beach. That didn’t mean I missed New York a little, but over all…
“So… Any other 552er’s here?”
-- I smiled. The question was mainly asked as a joke, but hey, I hadn’t expected to see anyone from 552 here, and yet, here was one right in front of me.

“So… Any other 552er’s here?”
That was a good question. Only other 552er that Keith had run into was none other than Kate McHallin. Like Saito, Kate didn't recognize him either. So far, Keith was doing a good job throwing other people off on who he really is. But hey, might as well tell Saito the other person.
Keith casually nodded, "ah yes, are you familiar with a Miss Kate McHallin?"
He wouldn't be surprised that Saito might know Kate. Afterall, Saito and Kate are both seniors. But Keith didn't know how well Saito knew Kate. Might as well let Saito know the news.
Then he added with, "Most of the transfers I ran into happened to be 499 students."

--… Oh, so there WERE others. Unexpected, yet expected at the same time. Even I didn’t know how that worked, really. Well, it would be nice to see a familiar face around.
“Kate? I believe we’ve bumped into each other occasionally. I never really got to know her too well.”
-- As for 499, I had absolutely no clue as to who they were, and hadn’t even known till now that they even existed in this part of the galaxy. I wondered what they were like?
“499? Never heard of ‘em.”

!
-- Okay, I basically looked like a twig compared to this guy, who I safely assumed was a teacher… Going by sheer appearances of course. His voice sounded oddly familiar (wow, there was a lot of that going on in the past few minutes, wasn’t there?), but I was more concerned about avoiding a possible conflict with this teacher. The school seemed to have a similar system as 552 did, and if I remembered correctly, teachers were allowed to physically punish students. And I didn’t want any of that, now, did I?”
“… Er…”
-- And yet, I couldn’t manage to come up with a reasonable excuse. Great. Am I allowed to panic now?

*Crack* Went the teachers knuckles.
Eek! Went the voice in my head.
-- This was looking a little grim. First day and I possibly get wounded. Just like 552!... Not really a good way to start a new, was it? Nope, not at all.
"Pardon me... I'm juts new and a little unfamiliar with the lay out, and rules, of the school."
-- No doubt I was nervous. It showed in my voice. Yet, if conflict arose, it would arise. The teacher seemed to be in control of the situation at the moment. However, I dreaded the thought of having to resort to... "Those" in combat.

"I am not fuckin' around here. Ive already had to beat the shit out of a boy who thought he was going to be cute and draw a knife on me, so I am a little edgy. "
Keith turned to face Hiroko. Though Hiroko can be pretty much a hardass, Keith had to admit that he was his favorite teacher. A person that cares deeply about the subject that he teachers. And Hiroko sure put his heart and soul into making his food. But yeah, they had to get to class.
"I'm sorry, Hiroko," Keith apologized. He then turned to Saito, "it's just I coincidentally bumped into a familiar person back at 552. So I was showing him around and letting him know of other 552 students that transferred."
Hopefully Hiroko would understand. It pretty much sucks being in "uncharted" territory without seeing a familiar face. In a city such as Los Angeles, you need at least a few connections. If you don't have any connections, you're pretty much fucked.
"I was about to explain to Saito about 499. But I can explain it to him later. Oh, I brought those ingredients you requested to make that triple layered chocolate cake for the extra credit assignment. They should be in the pantry still in the grocery bags."

"Ah, that about sums me up."
-- At 552, I always seemed to pop into a scene from out of the blue. A rather dynamic entrance was made sometimes. Sort of like the anime thing where a character unexpectedly pops in and punches another in the face. Something like that.
"It's nice to see you again, Hiroko."
-- I extended my hand, gripping his tightly in a friendly hand shake. I hadn't seen him since that time he took on, and held his own against rather nicely, against a small army of 552 students, which had included me. So he was a teacher now, eh? Cool.

"It's nice to see you again, Hiroko."
Eh?
Seemed that both Saito and Hiroko seemed to know each other. Could it be that Hiroko is also from 552? All sorts of questions were pretty much forming up. However, Keith had to get to class and work on that chocolate cake for the extra credit work that Hiroko assigned.
Keith's gotten somewhat a jist of the dealings of 552 from a few people. He had remembered the name Hiroko in a few conversations back at 552. Was this teacher the Hiroko? The senior was starting to get more curious. Perhaps he'll do a little research later in the future.
Calmly he turned to Saito, "it was nice seeing you again, Saito. We should get together after school and talk. I know you have plenty of questions."
With that, Keith took his leave to Hiroko's classroom. He had to get working on that cake. And he sure as hell didn't want the other students messing with his stuff.

"Well, I was just wondering what the area is like in general. It's a broad question, I know."
-- A broad, question, yes. Figuring out the other stuff by exploration and by observation seemed to be more fun. But having a general outlook would definetly prove beneficial. I could adjust faster.
-- Wait, did Hiroko just say that there were quite a few 552 transfers? I seriously doubted four was a lot, which was the number I was aware of. If something had been happening around 552, I had seemingly been unaware of it. Well, familiar faces were good to see.
"I didn't hear about or see anything before I left, so I'm not really sure. I came for more personal reasons. But... 552 seemed to have lost some of it's old luster, though I doubt that could be the reason for the number of transfers."
