A Little Incentive The northern part of the northern hemisphere had been gradually mellowing out to a progressive set of hot and cold days. California, at the mercy of the weather, was struck today with a particularly harsh blast of wind. Particularly enthusiastic on the progress, the weather channel's many blimps began to congregate on the massive amount of rain of the day. However, due to fallacies with the flying height, the rain was oddly angled at 45 degrees... and 259 was hit with some very bad hail.
It was one of those days.
...One of those days that the freshmen from the library club decided to get a large metal sheet, parade it around the school, and angle it at a opposing 45 degree angle---sideways rain.
Very few people remained unscathed dry. Needless to say, many people opted to remain inside the 259 buildings for lunch today.
---But that was not the focus of the story. Rather, slipped inside of a locker for a certain girl by the name of "Addie" was a letter. It was simply folded and written in a fourteen-font cursive. It's message was simple:...Unfortunately, at this time, the freshmen from the science club had brought forth their nasty device to the front of the school library and were dousing people trying to get in and out of the building.

[[OOC: Sorry for the wait, I've been a little dead these past few days xD; ]]
It was college, you know that big step to wards your dreams. Although, at this point I'm not quite sure what to do, I mean... Do people usually know this kind of stuff right away? Who knew...I didn't. Jumping from the crowded halls of the high school, to the halls of the college campus. Where people ignore those around them, only waving or waving if they know the person. Where you once again become a minnow in the sea of uncertainty, strangers, and knowledge. Maybe I'm thinking about it too much. Although, I'm glad I eventually got around to getting into college. Of course, it seems a little easier her... way easier.
The thing about school is the days blend in, day by day things seem to follow the same flow. People talk around me, they take notes and study, texting in class and all those little things. Maybe its just me, I always seem to be in one place, never getting very far, like being in a row boat with one paddle. Going in circles while those around me seem to speed off, leaving me in the dust. I don't understand it, perhaps it'll come to me one day.
Wandering in the halls, a pile of books hugged close, the brunette walked instinctively to wards her locker. Her mind was no where in the school world. Thoughts lost and drifting in the memories of her little trek. Before she had returned to California, she had gone on an adventure. Memories of the weather changing, the faces of all the people whom she passed and those whom had helped her on the pilgrimage she had taken. An adventure to see things before once again being attached to a school, to feel real freedom for a short period of time. Somewhere between finding strays and lurking in California without a goal.
She had traveled on foot and off to Alaska, walking some of the way and getting rides from smiley little old couples or families. It was all rather enjoyable and quite the learning experience. Kind of an eye opener, especially since Addie had never really expected kindness from complete strangers. It was quite the change, staying in one place, walking short distances, although the girl was quite happy to have a month of time to herself before school. A person needs rest after an adventure such as that.
Half smiling, the tanned girl reached out for her locker door, pulling it open. A piece of paper drifted out and landed on her feet. It wasn't so much as the paper but the impact of a stranger that snapped her out of it. From side to side, she'd shake her head before looking down at her feet.
Well it wasn't every day she'd get a locker note.
Ridiculously tall top hat, eh?
Perhaps it was time to dress for such an occasion... After all, hours of strenuous digging, albeit a little creep- Actually, it wasn't that weird at all, not after Alaska Round One. Smirking a little, the girl took off..TO THE ANIME/COSTUME CLUB! There she'd be greeted and given the option between a great deal of clothes. Oh yes, this would be good.
~~~~~
Walking, the heavy drops hitting the white raincoat. It seemed to shine, the hood pulled to cover much of the face, only hair stuck out. On the front of the jacket there was a pair of gold coloured metal wing clip fasteners. The jack went down to around her knees, where white stockings and black knee high boots were visible. She walked slowly, looking down at the ground, feeling a little silly. It didn't matter, right?
The speedy pitter patter of people fleeing caught her attention, followed by wild cursing and a heavy dose of the word: ew. So, there was a surprise, eh? This could be fun, very fun. She'd pass the people. Little white wings sticking out of her backpack. yes, the only water proof one.... had wings. They were small, so it wasn't that bad...ish. Taking an umbrella, the girl winked as she passed the owner. It didn't matter how weird she was dressed! THERE WAS A PERSON TO MEET!
Kicking open the front doors, she's stick the umbrella through the door first and open it, so it would cover her face. At that time, the umbrella would be pelted with some kind of liquid, moving forward, she'd smirk once more. Shall be fun, yes?
"Tsk tisk....I don't really think this is the way children should act in public."
The last thought in her mind as she charged into the library was... I hope the cheesecake is good...
I've Got My Top Hat And A Pocket-Full-Of-Miracles--- "Tsk tisk....I don't really think this is the way children should act in public."This girl's voice would be one of the calmer reactions of the small division of the masses that would make their way into the library. Happily spinning their huge contraption about, the science club members began striding away... leaving the slew of "survivors" to make their way into the library. Interestingly enough, perhaps by cause of the annoying actions, the library was relatively empty.
In that sense, it was no wonder that the girl in the white raincoat with most of her face covered by the hood stood out the most. For the person who was leaning against Row G of the book section, just across from the entrance hall, he grinned in mild amusement. Was this the girl known as Addie?
Only time would tell.
...The light cast upon his ridiculously tall top hat painting a large, thin shadow across a southern part of the room. "Unfettered's" arms were folded in front of his chest as he stood solely supported on his left leg, his right leg crossed over his left leg's shin, the tip of his fancy black shoes being stood upon. Other then that, he had on his long white hair in a pony tail with just a few strands of hair to fall upon (rather irritatingly) over his face. He had been tempted to wear his typical white t-shirt and a pair of blue jeans, but when "Unfettered" put on the top hat, he couldn't bring himself to not complete the set. He had a rather 1920's-ish tux on with black dress pants. It took a bit of searching in the past few days... but he was going to be eating cheesecake today. It HAD to be fancy.
A small round-top table stood placed, hidden behind the rows of bookshelves, several yards behind "Unfettered," with two empty chairs, and a few things on it...
If the girl would look at the man with the tall top hat, she'd receive a friendly smile and a wave, but no further responses unless she approached him. After all... "Unfettered" only knew the girl by name and her locker number. Otherwise, he had no idea how this "Addie" looked.~
Bright blue eyes scanned the room, searching for something. What? Something large and ridiculous. Yes, big, probably black, and classy looking. There she saw it, the top hat, it was sitting a top of some white haired man's head. Well, that must be the sender, or so she assumed, after all.. How often did people go to school dressed like that?? Of course she was not to talk about going to school in odd clothing, since it was just an average day for her.
That was when her interest in the children waned. Smiling in the direction of the stranger, the girl nodded. Of course she had to acknowledge him, it would be rude otherwise. The quest was, what of the children? If she were to wander off, would they spray her and the stranger? For the moment she stood in one place, the umbrella resting on her shoulder, while a free hand twisted the handle, making it twirl behind her.
What do?
If she were to merely walk over to her strange caller, would they attack her? The last thing she wanted was.. whatever it was.. in her socks. That would be unpleasant, especially such long socks. What do? what do? part of her wanted to jam her umbrella into their device, but of course that wouldn't exactly be nice. What sort of impression would that make?
Like the last time she had gotten a locker letter, it lead to fighting.
That wasn't exactly something she wanted.
Walk away and meet the stranger....
BEST CHOICE!
Plus, Cheesecake.
Time to walk, THERE WAS NOTHING TO STOP HER, RIGHT!? Delicious delicious cheesecake and a meeting with Mr. Ridiculous top hat. Or at least so she thought. Of course to her discontent things never go according to plan. There she goes, having avoided their onslaught, walking away happily twirling he umbrella, so what? they need to hose her down in whatever it is? Well, that just wasn't right.
"I'll let you off easily this time." She'd look back over her shoulder. They'd only a frown, even though she was glaring daggers. she stockings were soaked. Bastards. The squish in her shoe drove her crazy, each step weird liquid moved about in her boots. Squish...squish... ANGRRYYY FACE. No no... calm..happy face.. think of the cheesecake! and ramming your umbrella into their experiment... That can wait.. cheesecake now...Yes, such a good thing. How did he know to use that as a lure? Orange juice would have worked too... mmmmmm orange...cheese....juicee...cake.... Now that she was near the table, it was time to ask the question... Whut whut...in the butt.. no, not really.
"Soooo, is there any particular reason I was summoned?" She'd smile and talk in a friendly tone, far different from the scary voice used to talk to the nerdy people. Chheeeseeecakeee.
Let Them Eat... Cheesecake "Soooo, is there any particular reason I was summoned?"...So said the approaching lass with... soaked, ridiculously bright white clothing. Beige? It was difficult to tell for the German. Making a sweeping bow, where the German's arm would reach his arm to his waist he would stop for a second to wonder how the miscreants from outside managed to shift their large contraption and open the doors to the inside of the library, to soak the girl so...---stronger then anticipated, no doubt, with so many heavy objects to lift. Bloody sideways rain, of all annoying thing.
Taking this all into consideration, the over-properly dressed German would erect himself into a standing position and beckon this... "Addie" (whose face was still mostly covered up) towards the table set up in the back."Ja, indeed fraulein Addie... but first, pleasure before business, yes? Or do you like to mix ze two?"He'd begin walking in the table's general direction, either leading, walking beside or following after Addie, where he'd pull out her chair for her before seating himself, his smile slowly framing itself into is familiar smile of perpetrating curiosity.
"Ja, indeed fraulein Addie... but first, pleasure before business, yes? Or do you like to mix ze two?"Addie couldn't help but smile at the rather strange person, after all he was also dressed up for such an occasion. It made her happy to see other people taking the chances to dress up for no apparent reason.. apart from cheesecake that is. Walking behind him, Addie pulled her bag off, setting it down near the chair he had pulled out for her. the bag was wet, but the insides were nice and dry, HOPEFULLY! Next she unbuttoned the flap over the zipper to her coat, finally unzipping it. Taking off the coat, she'd set it down on the chair back. Dressed in black and white. A white collar styled like a dress shirt, equipped with a black tie. Her black vest halter with the little tails in the front and the slightly longer in the back, it buttoned up to under her chest and met with a white tavern wench styled shirt with the puffy sleeves and lack there of shoulders. Very much like...everything she worse. Hating wearing shirts with collars leaves with very little options. Her hair in the back was braided and tied with a white ribbon. White dancer style cuffs and white gloves, a black shirt that ended above her knees, white stockings and knee high boots. Maybe she didn't really dress up, buttttttttt it was a step down from wearing military styled uniforms from Gundam Wing. Yes, the club had indeed run that by her. Instead she had gone with the basic, how lame. Smiling, the brunette took a seat, looking to the caller. To mix delicious cheesecake with whatever he had to say? Perhaps it would be good. I am hungry.... hmm... Cheesecake...-drools-.. Maybe...Hey wait, is he German? I could swear...Ja?.... fraulein?....CONTEMPLATION... Serious face time...I bet my face looks weird. Thinking about cheesecake put a happy expression on her face, then the change to German caused her to raise an eyebrow... Followed by a serious face to question her silly expressions. "I think I'd like to mix the two." Addie smiled, trying to keep herself from pointing out his ja,zee and what not. After all, that would be rather rude. THE QUESTIONS! OH HOW THEY DROVE HER MADDDD! Why was she there? what was going on? Was he German? HMMMM!?
