Personality

There are many things about Nera that one will never see. One of them is her true nature. Upon first meeting, Nera is loud, exuberant, and excitable. She is easily scared by larger and stronger people and she will automatically show revolution at unnecessary violence. There is a proud and strong sense of justice that she carries like a banner about her. She will willingly throw herself into harms way to stop injustice and keep people happy and safe. She appears as the self sacrificing and all around good tempered girl with an innocent heart and mind. She plays innocence very well and will almost never break this personality or facade. Clumsy, rash, and happy go lucky sailor girl is certainly not her real persona.

Perhaps the only thing she has in common between herself and that false character is her strong sense of Justice. A sense that runs so deep, it has semi spoiled her mind, or what was left to spoil. Her temper is quite preserved and patient. Cold and calculating, she sizes up everything that crosses her path and logs it for good measure. Learned in the art of mind games, but even more brilliant is her ability to seize the opportunity of the moment. She is an excellent improvisor, making the game as she goes. Maliciously, she savors her little 'innocence' game to the fullest. There is also a definite sign of kleptomania within her, as made obvious by her stealing habits. She wholly believes she is taking back what is rightfully hers. Down inside she enjoys nothing more then gaining riches, seeing others in unbearable pain, killing, and asserting her power that she believes is given to her by god in sick and twisted sense of justice for the world. She takes no prisoners and ironically, holds no grudges. Her ego is also easily boosted, mainly by her taken nick-name as 'Madame Guillotine' and her cult following that praise her. Something as simple as people falling for her facade gives her confidence. But this does not mean she is arrogant, for she almost never underestimates her opponents. It is simply her nature to enjoy others indiscretion. She is a hungry queen, by her own insane, blood thirsty mind. Patient, but hungry.

Physical Information
Built with a very strong body, Nera as a lot to offer. First, she is tall; complete with long legs and arms. Her skin is extremely well kept and smooth despite the callouses on her hands and feet. She has always kept her hair super long and will often tie it up in either a pony tail or some other elaborate hair style. She hardly leaves it down and plain. One set of piercings decorate her ear and her nails are almost always painted with neutral colors or a french manicure. She was built with a large bust and round hips thanks to her Austrian roots, however she had to work to keep her skinny stature since she comes from a larger family. Her stomach is toned and her entire body is rather thin and constantly in shape. Nera has a large tattoo design of dragon and eagle bearing their talons around the sketching of a guillotine. The sketch runs up and down her back while the eagle sit on her right ride spreading its wings so that one extends down and the other across her shoulder blade as if it were her own wing. The dragon is climbing over her left shoulder with one wing folded and the other extending over her left shoulder blade mirroring the eagles. The dragons tale wraps around her left breast and extends down into a series of tribal designs that come up and form a singular white lily. There are many other hidden symbols and messages into the tattoo design. Neras face is relatively childish and calm. She holds the high cheek bones and prominent chin from her Austrian roots. Her face is otherwise calm and soft, her bright blue eyes being the most alluring feature.



Apparel Information

Neras most popular outfit is probably her most modest outfit. She is accustomed to wearing a white lace dressing down which resembles a nightie. Over top she wears a basic suit, or at least it looks basic. The pants are flame proof wool, black, and rest at her hips with a belt that has her weapon holster clipped onto it. The holster also has straps that wrap around her thighs. The shoes at her feet are basic black character shoes with a reinforced sole. She wears a kimono style waist coat which is tied around the waist with an elaborate obi. Through the loose positioning you can easily see her white dressing gown. The kimono waist coat and matching obi change depending on her mood. Over top that is what appears to be a simple suit jacket, however upon closer examination one can see that it is made in the style of a rococo coat, with lapels, large cuffs, slits in the back, numerous buttons, and fancy black silk trim. She takes to wearing a single black choker with a large gem on it and a pair of black wrist gloves over top a pair of upper arm length white gloves. When it is really cold she will wear a large Victorian trench coat that buttons all the way up the front and back.

Nera was born in Scottland to a wealthy noble family. Upon her birth her mother named her after one of history's most infamous rulers, Nero. Why? Well, simply because the mother had a bit of an evil streak- though you would never know it by her docile behavior. Her father, Valentine, was proud to have a girl as his first born. He did not mind weather his heir was male or female. However, his wife, was bent on him having a male heir. She quickly proceeded to get herself pregnant once again. However, she had complications, and choosing to get pregnant again so quickly was a fatal move. She gave her life for a son, who would be named Antony. Valentine, once a powerful and charismatic man with many loyal followers, found himself falling into despair. He locked himself away for three years. During those years, Nera and Antony were raised by a governess. One night, some crazy supporters for the opposite political team attempted to burn their home and kill everyone in the house. Nera took her brother and ran from the house, something snapping that night in her young minds. Thinking they were orphaned, the slept that night in the bushes at the back of the garden. One of the maids who survived the onslaught found them, and to everyone's great joy, their father (alive) was happily reunited with his children. From then on, Valentine emerged to spend time with his children. However the damage had been done. Upon her seventh birthday, it was made unable to heal, when her father handed her the diary of her mother.

Her mother had been a proud and ambitious woman. It became Nera's dream to take on her mothers dreams and crazy ambitions. Her mothers diary became her bible and teacher. As she grew up, attending a private elementary and then private middle school, she grew up learning to hide her darker personality. It was never well received by her peers. She also began to train herself to fight. She did not want a reprisal of the night her mansion burned. A plan was formed, a master design of the universe to strive for. A plan God had shown her for herself. But her plan had set backs. She needed to be independent. Upon turning 13 she tested herself- tricking her father to think her brother was murdered, tricking him into thinking she had been kidnapped, and sending him into a violent rage. Then tricking her brother that that same rage was him going insane and coming to kill his son who had killed their mother. It was all too easy for her. She stole away with her brother into the night and hid away. For years she didn't return, keeping her brother and herself hidden away in museums so that they would be safe but also so that Nera could learn to perfect the art of stealing. She became a master 'pirate'. By time she was fifteen, she had gained a massive fortune and had bought her own house and boat. Her house was a plantation on the Mississippi river, a plantation chalk full of her findings and possessions. She learned to work the black market like the palm of her hand. However, she kept her brother and herself lodged safely on a sail boat- masking her riches even from her brother. Her brother did not approve of her lifestyle, and took it upon himself to gain a new name and get a job. Upon her 15th birthday she returned home. Her father, rejoiced to see her. He held a party, gushed all over her. He even bought her story, though it took a lot of convincing to get it under his stubborn and over speculative skull. He was glad to have his daughter back, a daughter he would continue to dote on endlessly. However, Nera, hated dependance. She left home quickly again, telling her father that she felt unsafe at home and would rather travel abroad - creating her own life before she chose to settle down in his footsteps. Her father cautiously, and suspiciously agreed. It was no surprise how wrapped around his daughters finger he was.

During this time, she gained many enemies on the black market. It was because of these enemies that she gained her nick name "Madame Guillotine". In order to survive on her own, she needed to learn to take care of herself. She also needed a way to practice her fighting skills. it started with those who would come after her. She would kill them swiftly, cutting off their head for good measure. Soon it was those related to them, and then it was those who had committed crimes. Over a span of three years she perfected her art of killing like a phantom. She learned the habits of a serial killer, becoming one herself. But was it really bad? She only killed those who had obviously done wrong and the people dubbed her "Madame Guillotine". She even gained a cult following on the internet under that name. The name became her. She eventually got a tattoo to represent her title, and in a way began to play with her followers. This blood lust began before her trip to Scottland-

Soon after said trip, Nera headed to England. She attempted her biggest feat yet- the stealing of the crown jewels. However, the attempt was foiled before it even began. A mysterious woman, who wielded phenomenal skill with a blade, foiled Nera in the streets. She took her out to dinner that night and even was so kind as to pay for the meal and a set of deserts afterwards. She didn't seem to know a lot about Nera, although it was obvious she hid her actual knowledge. Bastille was her name, and that night she mentioned PHS 259. That night, Nera returned to her boat to find it missing. Had her brother sailed off without her? Worried she began to look around, however she was suddenly caught by the police. She was tried in court for a crime she didn't even commit (ironically- since her actual crimes were in fact waaaaaaay worse). With no evidence to protect herself, and being under-aged, she did the one thing she could and took parole. The destination? High School at 259. So with guidance, she met her brother in Long Beach, got bailed out of jail, and set to a new life as a high school student. It's all a cover up anyway, and the guards made it too easy to avoid them. But,....259 could prove to be fun.

Fighting Style: 'Blade Dancer'

Description of style:
Her own mixture of ballet, gymnastics, and intricate blade maneuvers. Her main choice of weapons are a pair of razor sharp pendulums attached to steel strong threads so that she can maneuver them around her like a wip/ baton. As this is her proffered weapon, it becomes obvious that her proffered fighting style is long range. However, in close range she adopts a more hands on style, using basic karate and ballet combination set of movements while using her pendulums by their handles, or a razor sharp fan that she keeps hidden on her person. The fan resembles the Guillotine blade when folded out properly. She also keeps two knives at her wrists. The entire style resembles a dance with numerous types of deadly blades, hence the name "blade dancer". It's main use is to use blades to distract and push away the opponent while the user uses intricate dance like moves in an evasive fashion. The blade and the user work as partners in a carefully maneuvered dance in hopes of literally shredding their opponent. However the hand to hand combat is a bit more nitty and gritty, loosing most of the dance technique and adopting a fierce karate style. The entire style requires mass amounts of precision and accuracy.

Nether Blade - A psionic blade channeled at the wrists that act upon her summoning of them. As a passive effect to these she absorbs +2 Charisma for each successful impact. When attacking a PC with a higher Charisma than her she gains an additional +1 for every 10 difference in value.
Force Pulse - An explosive sort of ability only viewable by the caster that will create an AOE field enhancing the caster's abilities significantly over time. In the Pulse Field the Void Walker gains a +2 Strength and Dexterity bonus for every 7 Charisma.
Rift Walk - A sudden burst of overcharged energy dealing in a sudden speed boost for the caster. Taking the added charisma from the Nether Blade the user is able to subtract that from charisma, then multiply it by 1.25 and add it to its Dexterity for one post.
Void Door - Upon reaching a total charge (+50 Charisma) the Void Walker is capable of opening a doorway so to speak that is impossible to be crossed over onto by any party in the battle. However it unleashed +1 Void Monster (for each 50 Charisma) from an alternate world to act as an NPC factor to the fight sharing stats equal to the Void Walker's.

~Pros~

The Void Walker is capable of drawing nearly infinite energy from the void using that source to stack upon her base abilities as well as create a multitude of differentiating bolstering powers.

~Cons~

The abilities are all stacked upon the Void Walker contacting her opponent, without hitting her opponent much less in the bearing amount of time for it to matter its abilities are entirely useless.[/ul][/font]

Character	Relation
	Valentine Augustus:A stern and dotting father. He comes from a prominent Austrian family and thus is the successor of vast amounts of wealth. He has a bit of a cruel and malicious side, something that inspired Nera and grew when his wife died. Despite Nera's fascination with making their relationship look rocky, he treasures her and constantly sends her gifts. Robespierre was one of her many gifts. He however, does hold some grudge towards his daughter for leaving him, and although she frequently visits in secret, he can't help but feel she is hiding something about her brothers whereabouts. (something he knows nothing about) He lives alone in an Austrian mansion, entertaining with huge gallas and balls.
	Jesabyne Hastings: Antony and Nera's mother. She died in giving birth to Antony. Rumor has it that she was legendary for her god like kindness and purity. She was also rumored to have been a gentile and strong leader, most famous for quelling the temper of her husband. Not much else is known about her or her upbringing. Nera remembers her in a very different light, - that of a much respected teacher.
	Antony Herondale (Augustus): Nera's younger brother and 'pretend' boyfriend. When they were 'escaping' from home, she took him with her as a last shred of remorse. She loves him dearly despite her nature, keeping him around as her prized possession, and to protect him from their father she makes him play her boyfriend. He is a good natured and fun loving guy with not a bad bone in his body. He can get stubborn and mean when he means to however, he genuinely hates violence and has a undaunted love for nature. He loves his sister, and takes pride in acting as her boyfriend- teasing her with "this way, I can protect you from men permanently." He lives on the boat with her and spends his time around the docks and taking various part time jobs.
	Robespierre:Nera's pet falcon. The bird is fiercely loyal to Nera alone and even takes to trying to peck Antony. Antony and Nera are the only two who can feed or pet her without Nera having to command the bird to calm. Robespierre often acts quietly and sits by without interfering. The bird spends most of its time sleeping on the boat.
	Bastille Cunningham: The mysterious lady who foiled Nera in her attempts to steal the crown jewels. She treated Nera to dinner and told her about PHS 259. Although Nera was originally uninterested, the name later came in handy when she was caught by government officials and deported back to the states.
