Appearance
Mental Information
Personality:
Artemis is normally a quite girl and attempts to keep to herself for the most part. She can be socialable if she chose to be. As a child she used to be quite kind hearted until certain things happened and she found the the world is a cruel place, and sometimes you had to be cruel back. Not saying that she is a cruel person but if called for she could be. Artemis is a priestess in some sense of the word, in which she has respect for the beauty in the world and would most likely say a small prayer over a fallen body. But don't get her wrong, she doesn't really have much of a problem taking a life, she just doesn't wish to resort to it. She can be quite polite as well but does have her sarcastic moments. Often when she speaks to someone her intelligence shows through her words.
Mentality:
Sane
Ideal:
''Victory favors those who take pains''
Belief:
She doesn't really have a set religion, even though she's somewhat of a priestess.. it's almost contradicting isn't it XD. She basically just believes that things happen and one can't really stop them sometimes. Basically destiny and fate.

Fighting Information
Fighting Style:
Mainly street fighting/freestyle and Tai Chi
Years Practiced:
Street Fighting: 8 years
Tai Chi: 5 years
Tai Chi: 5 years
Description of style:
At this point Artemis will not use the art of Tai Chi for she is still learning it, even though she has studied it for 5 years now. Truthfully she didn't put too much time into it, for she likes the freedom street fighting gives her. There's really no specific pattern to what she will do or what she will use. So basically she would use her hands, legs and body at all times. In addition to that she will use her surroundings to her advantage as much as possible. Artemis is normally a very calm figther and is not easily angered in battle. She is always quite flexiable and acrobatic which is another thing she would use to her advantage. Her moves normally just flow right into the next, like water so to speak. Plain and simply she can be a bit unpredictable at times, for it'll look like she's going to do one thing and at the last minute she'll change it sometimes.
History:
[March 21, 1991…Osaka, Japan]
The day had started out beautifully; a warm sun and a clear open sky. Despite the things that 27 year old, Kathryn Aomori had gone through during her pregnancy; this day she would always cherish for she would be giving the gift of life. When Kathryn was two months pregnant her husband at the time abandoned her for another woman; then three months later she faced the lost of her younger sister and that same month lost her job. For the remainder of her pregnancy she stood with her parents while she slowly got back on her feet. A violent storm came in this night when Kathryn was rushed to the hospital for she had gone into labor. After hours of tense hard labor, beautiful baby girl was born. The strange thing was that when she was born the sky had cleared up and the night’s sky was revealed allowing the full moon to shine in all its glory. But it wasn’t just any moon, this moon was known as ‘‘The hunter’s moon’’; as Kathryn’s father told her. Upon looking out the window seeing and hearing this, Kathryn decided to name her daughter, Artemis; the goddess of the moon and hunt from Greek mythology. From that day on Kathryn’s life seemed to rebuild itself, since she had been down for such awhile; giving birth to Artemis lifted her spirits and five months after giving birth she had found a new job at a big time corporation; Stone Industries.

Kathryn had landed the job of being the personal secretary to the director of Stone Industries; 32 year old, Nicholas Stone. Kathryn was an intelligent woman with the education to prove it which would make one wonder how she could’ve lost her job. Due to everything that she was going through it simply took it’s toll on her and caused her to fall behind on things and become depress; but with Artemis in her life now things were completely different for her. It was her first day on the job and Nicholas had called her into his office to discuss some business as well as introduce her to his main two bodyguards; 25 year old Kyo Hayabusa, and 30 year old Andre Cross. Kyo had escorted Kathryn to the office, once there they entered and for the first time she laid eyes upon the person whom would become a part of her life; Andre Cross. During the meeting Kathryn informed Nicholas that she had a daughter and would like to able to spend as much time with her as possible, but she would still perform her duties to the best of capabilities. In stating that Nicolas told her that Andre also had a child; a son Axel Cross; and that he was a single father. This was something that caught Kathryn’s attention due to the fact that she and Artemis had been abandoned by her now ex-husband.
Nicholas continued to praise Andre here and there before finally dismissing him to his duties. Little did Nicholas know that he was drawing these two people together. As time went on Nicholas had grown quite fond of Kathryn as well as Andre did. Both men loved her, but Kathryn had her eye on Andre. He was always around just when she needed something or someone, but another thing was that even at such a young age Axel and Artemis seemed to get along just fine. Andre and Kathryn began officially seeing each other when their children were a year old, and within that same year Andre proposed to her. Nicholas at this time was not happy at all about all of this, he wanted Kathryn to himself but hid that fact from everyone and just pretended to be happy for them. When Axel and Artemis were 2 years old their parents got married. Everything seemed to go well, except for the fact that only 5 months after getting married Kathryn lost her parents. Though she was sad about it, she would be strong and go on. Two more years went by and things were still well until one day. Axel and Artemis were 4 years old at this time. Kyo had stood with them on his day off as Andre went to work to pick up a few things and Kathryn had went to settle a few things with her lawyers. The lawyers office was only about 2 blocks from the corporation, so Kathryn walked to it and met Andre and they drove off.
On their way home they got into a terrible accident on a bridge causing there car to plunge into the river. No one believed anyone could survive such an accident, not even the police and EMT’s that rushed to the scene. It was all over the news, they had announced that no one could’ve survived that crash and that their bodies could not be found. Nicholas was in his office when he saw it on the news, he smirked at first and when they announced that Kathryn Aomori was in the car as well, he face turned into complete disbelief. Nicholas’s anger and jealously had grown to a new height that he rigged his best friends car and set him up to die, so that he could have Kathryn; but he did not count on her being in the car. The police and child care services went to the house and informed Kyo of what happened, and also told him that they would have to take the children. Kyo was completely distraught, he didn’t want to believe it nor want to let them take Axel and Artemis but he had no choice. They took Axel and Artemis and that same night sent them to an orphanage in New York, cause they had too many children in the ones there in Osaka, Japan.
[Home sweet hell hole]
Confusion was the main thing that went through Artemis’s mind at this time. Her eyes widened wandered side to side looking at the interior of the airplane in which she hadn’t experienced before. She was scared and dazed. She couldn’t fully comprehend the fact that her parents were gone and never coming back, that she and Axel were all each other had now. But none-the-less she wanted her mother and the man she grew up calling father. On the trip she sat by Axel’s side the entire time, only leaving him when needed to go to the bathroom other than that they stood by each other. After a very long flight they finally arrived in New York and were taken to the orphanage in which they would call home for some time; home… right, it’s was more like a hell hole.
The orphanage wasn’t the best place in the world, but it was the place that they would have to call home until someone would come and take them away from this place. If they were lucky it wouldn’t take so long, and hopefully it would be a good family. But they weren’t so lucky and had to stay there endure what this orphanage had to offer them. Being that they were too young at the time they didn’t have to mop and sweep and stuff like that; they only suffered the mental and physical abuse. The physical abuse came when they didn’t necessarily followed what they were told. The mental abuse was everyday, and at that time Artemis wasn’t who she is today, she was more of a shy and timid girl so things got to her a bit.
Three years had gone by and things didn’t really get any better there, now that they were 7 years old they were forced to do more. Forced to mop, sweep, and wax the floors and such. Artemis being scared and timid at the time did everything that was asked of her and still was miss treated by staff as well as other kids. She really didn’t have many friends there maybe two or three; truly Axel was her only friend. They were always seen together even during chores, they were hardly ever a part after all they were all each other had left. But soon enough they would be separated and out of each others lives for the first time in a long time. Axel no longer wanted to stay there he was getting fed up with everything and hated the way they were treating all of us. One night as she was sleeping Axel came and awoke her from her slumber asking her to follow him, as she did so he led her to a window in the hallway.
“Axel what are you doing?”
“We’re leaving Artemis… We can’t stay here, I can’t stay here…”
“But Axel this…this is our home…”
“No it’s not!.. This isn’t a home…or our home… They treat us bad Artemis, I don’t wanna stay here anymore.. please come with me.”
“I…but Axel.. I’m scared”
“Fine! Then don’t come! Be a scaredy cat then!... *Sighs* I’m sorry Artemis. But I can’t be here…I promise I’ll come back for you as soon as I can ok?”
*Sniffles* “You promise?”
“I promise.. here, I’ll come back for you and this.”
He had gave her his dragon pendant that his father gave him and left. From that they forward things would be different in her life, she would learn about the cruelness in the world. The next day came and the staff had found out that Axel was missing, they questioned Artemis put she said she knew nothing. Someone had saw Axel leave last night and told them that and also the fact that she was lying and knew he left cause she was there. She was forced to do all the chores without any food. At the end of the day she was exhausted and fatigued as she sat in her room, but there was a 12 year old boy named Sky who snuck into her room would food and drinks for her. She was startled by him of course and couldn’t understand why he would do such a thing. At first she wouldn’t except for she knew if anyone found out he did this he would also get in trouble. But he didn’t seem to care and insisted on her taking the food for she needed it and so she did so and thanked him for his kindness.
Things at the orphanage had gotten a bit worse since Axel had left and now Artemis was alone to face it. One day she had to go outside and bring some things in, three boys had said they would help her and being that she was a bit too trusting then she believed them only for them to turn around and push her into a wall and onto the ground. Every time she got up they would do the same thing again, and then she began to cry that’s when Sky came and stopped everything. She slowly stopped crying and asked again why he helped her again, and he simply answered with a some what of a pick up line for laughs, but then responded because she shouldn’t be treated that way and he knew about her step brother leaving. He also informed her that the world was a cruel place and sometimes you had to be cruel back. From that day forward Sky became a big brother to her, basically becoming the brother that she had lost. He began teaching her how to defend herself and to become a stronger person. Sky didn’t know any specific style of fighting, so basically he was a street fighter and thought her everything he knew. Day after day she still worried about her brother, and night after night she would stare out the window for a few hours wondering if he would ever return.
After a year of training with Sky and worrying about her brother, she found the courage within her to sneak out of the orphanage and try to find him. She feared that he hadn’t returned to get her because something happened to him and she had to know the truth. It was night time and she had ended up in an alley trapped by two men. They were closing in on her planning to take advantage of this young girl, and once again she became that timid, scared girl she wasn’t ready yet. But Sky had followed her and found her and took care of the drunken men and brought her back to the orphanage.Sky calmed her down that night and once again remained her of the world. Another year went by and still Axel hadn’t returned for her, by this time she had slowly become a new person; by this time she was full of anger towards her brother because he had left and never returned. But then again in her heart she still worried about him, worried if he was ok; if he was still alive, she loved her brother even now she did. One day only a month after her 9th birthday, a man and a woman came to the orphanage and wanted to adopt Artemis. She had waited for that day for so long but wished her brother was here so they could be adopted together like they were supposed to be. But she did have another brother now so to speak Sky and she knew sky had been here far too long, she told the couple she would not leave without him. They only smiled and agreed to take Sky with them.

Artemis and Sky moved in with their new family. Their names were Maria and Toshiro Mazaki. Maria and Toshiro already had one adopted child, a daughter, Jasmine Mazaki. Maria and Toshiro were fairly wealthy, kind to a point and quite strict yet they spoiled Jasmine which is why she wasn't too happy about Artemis entering the family. She didn't mind Sky cause well he was quite good looking and if she wanted him for herself she wouldn't care cause he was really related to him. Jasmine was 15, while Sky was 14 and Artemis was 9. Which makes it seem funny that a 15 year old would have jealously for a 9 year old. When Artemis turned 10 Toshiro had gotten her an instructor to teach her Tai Chi, the same instructor that Jasmine had; but Artemis wasn't too interested in it.
But none-the-less she still took time to learn it here and there, for most of the time she spent it with Sky; training with him and seeing how he was. He told her that he had killed before, that he didn't really wish to but his hand was forced. He told her that he said a small ''prayer'' of sorts for the person. He informed her that she should be the same way in some sense, that yes be cruel to the world in which who is cruel to you but also respect the beauty that is within the world. She slowly began to change some more and didn't have a problem with taking someone's life, she doesn't didn't wish to do it unless necessary.
As years went on she became quite acrobatic in her fighting, and quite observant of her surroundings and such. She also began to notice that her new family, or parents rather seemed a bit odd so to speak. She couldn't quite put her finger on it but it just seemed like there was more to them that met the eye. A little after she turned 15, Sky announced that he was moving out and going to live in California. Artemis didn't wish to be seperated again from somewhere that she was close to, for she still was a bit weary of these people. Artemis asked Sky if he could take her with him and he agreed as well as their new parents gladly did. Which confused her just a bit as well as Sky, these people were way to trusting. Unfortunitly Jasmine volunteered herself to come as well, though Sky said he had gotten an apartment with only two bedrooms so she would have to find her own apartment. Jasmine wans't too thrilled with that but she did find herself one once we got out there. Once they moved out to Cali, Sky and Atremis settled in their new apartment as Jasmine found one only about a block away. From there Atremis was enrolled in PHS. 259 and still often wonders about Axel.
((I'll probably adjust this in time...but for now it's done. XD))
