She listened to them in turn. Leta wasn't sure what it was, but it didn't bother her any, she seemed confident in her ability to defend herself if the need arose. Samantha appreciated that perspective, she wondered if being blind helped a person become so wise or if she would have been like that had she been born with sight... or hadn't lost her sight. those seemed like questions for another time though. Sebastian seemed to be in the same boat she was in: didn't know how to fight, didn't know if they had a Qi. that didn't mean he wasn't willing to fight or didn't want to, simply that his ability wasn't up to his own standards yet.
she turned to leta, "thats a good outlook, I hope this isn't taken the wrong way, thanks to you I don't think i'll ever underestimate the independance of a blind person again, simply it doesn't make a difference" she said, she grew curious for a moment to see how this girl thought, unless she was bluffing it seemed she definitely had some tricks up her sleeve. "You and I are in a similar boat" she said with a laugh turning to sebastian "I've actually been meaning to learn how to fight, to unlock my Qi... I've figured its going to have to happen eventually..." she said, her eyes coming down to her hands, she clenched them into fists for a moment and examined them before looking back up. was it too soon?
"There is supposed to be a pretty big fight coming up..." she said pausing for a moment before looking back at the two of them
"And it may end the violence at this school forever"

"I'm glad you see it that way." Leta responded to Samantha's statement about blindness. Most people underestimated her because of her disability, but Leta knew that it didn't interrupt her daily life. She had been born like this, and grew up with it. She didn't know any other way to live. She definitely learned many many tricks to make up for her blindness, the more useful one being her highly developed, acute hearing.
Samantha then turned her attention to Sebastian and explained that she, also, is meaning to learn how to fight. This was the difference between Leta and them (fighting wise.) Leta knew how to fight. She had been learning Aiki-Jujutsu ever since the accident 2 years ago. Nobody knew that until it was too late, though. She hoped that the others knew that she wasn't the type to look for a fight. She would never advance on someone. Everything was self-defensive. However, if somebody were to attack her, she wouldn't hesitate to submit them before walking away.
"There is supposed to be a pretty big fight coming up." She heard Samantha say. There was a hint of reluctance in her voice, and this peaked Leta's attention. Could this be the secret she was holding back earlier? "And it may end the violence at this school forever."
Well. An end to violence certainly was a wonderful thought, but it sounded like a load of bull to Leta. "Could violence ever really cease to exist here?" She hoped for an answer somewhere in the "yes" region, but she couldn't be sure. Violence would never entirely disappear... unless someone were to die, and that was unacceptable. If Leta had any "least favourite" things, killing would be it. No one would be able to understand the pain of listening to a loved one die before them as Leta did.
"If ending violence is an option here, then i want to know more." she said. She "looked" intently into Samantha's eyes.

Sebastian listened to the both of them. Leta had a point and the whole thing seemed futile. "Well I might be able to help you, but I need to know more first. Who are we even supposed to fight, and how will tthis stop anything?" Even as he discouraged samantha he knew he would end up helping even if it was from afar.

"Could violence ever really cease to exist here?"
"If ending violence is an option here, then i want to know more."
"Well I might be able to help you, but I need to know more first. Who are we even supposed to fight, and how will this stop anything?"
Samantha smiled. instant pessimism, but still, the words rang true with them. there was something about the hope that made the human mind seek its fortune. she was glad they where skeptical, it meant that they where realistic. these two would be excellent recruits in this fine little group. "of course, information is key in any conflict, especially one of this nature, to know thyself and thy enemy, that is half of victory" she said, flowing into "on our side we have a teacher, Mr. A as I know him, he would have more answers for you than I would at this moment, I have yet to make my own reconaissance" she stated plainly, the main word was yet, she wanted them to know she was absolutely still in the process of forwarding this movement. she was also glad they where skeptical because she liked a challenge. "Mr. A however, being an administrative key figure as he also has the power to set the pillar system may have just the right connections to bring campus fighting to a close. to say forever would be foolhardy, but it would be at least a start"
"As for who we are fighting, that is currently the answer to be found" she said "but I'm certain that as soon as a rule changing announcement such as a ban on fighting went public they would make themselves known. I imagine there will be an initial rebellion to the change, and that is where our group comes in, peacekeepers to quell the rebellion and sway the masses. with any luck we can do it without violence at all, but I don't want to make any promises"
she paused for a moment, this was honestly the first time she'd actually considered the conflict, the nature of it, and the aftermath. "afterward a strong pillar system with a possible support group would keep the order in check like its supposed to. sn abolishment of student government entirely is also possible, its hard to see that far into the future" she said with a little shrug, good natured and with a smile "we need people here now at the ground level to bring rise to such a dream though... to end it", she wondered if her little speech had been informative or moving at all. the timing wasn't right to ask them to make a full hearted commitment yet, but it was something that needed to be followed up upon.
"this is all very impromptu, my apologies, i don't need any final answer yet, but do give it some thought, I will hold a meeting with more answers, and it will give you a chance to meet Mr. A for yourself" she explained easily, she was certain they would come around for just a meeting

In the few days of being here in this new city, it was easy for Leta to notice the unusual amount of fights going on. Some for fun, while others took a more serious tone. But she had no clue there was a system to it. It sounded like a hierarchy. Organized. It was all just one big power struggle, and this was the kind of thing she didn't want to involve herself in. She thought about the different possibilities. She could fight like the people she had been hearing, she could fight against the people she had been hearing, she could avoid it and eventually choose one of the previous options, or she could die as a result of the ruthlessness expressed in this city. Having this conversation helped her to realize all of these things, but it also gave her one last option. To help put an end to it, and begin a new hierarchy. One that will prevent fights in a, hopefully, peaceful manner. Having moved here just this week, this was far more information she imagined she would need to absorb, but retaining that information wouldn't be a problem for her. The problem was what would she do with it? What choice would she make, and in the long run, what choice did she have? This was going to happen with or without her help. And she wanted a good chance at surviving. She could safely assume that if she agreed, they would have numbers. Lots of people to help this movement. And these people, Sebastian and Samantha, these were the first people to genuinely talk to her in this school. There was opportunity for friendship here, and she would always protect her friends, no matter the cost. Leta had been silent after Samantha's speech for about thirty seconds now, thinking about the options here. But she guessed that by thinking so much about it, she had already made her decision.
"If, in the long run, this could put an end or at the very least lessen the level of violence here, then I want to be a part of it. I hope you were honest in saying you didn't underestimate me."

Sebastian listened intently to Samantha. She spoke of war and peace and he felt himself wanting to join her. She mentioned a Mr. A as the leader of the group. 'A teacher,' thought sebastian, 'this might have more credence than I thought'. Even though Samantha was still being so vague Sebastian felt like he got the general idea, still he wanted further clarification. Leta began to speak "If, in the long run, this could put an end or at the very least lessen the level of violence here, then I want to be a part of it. I hope you were honest in saying you didn't underestimate me." Then Sebastian asked "So are we just trying to form a sort of secret police? I mean what would we actually be doing?" Sebastian paused and then said, "I want to help, but how can I with no fighting style and minimal strength?"

"If, in the long run, this could put an end or at the very least lessen the level of violence here, then I want to be a part of it. I hope you were honest in saying you didn't underestimate me."
honest and heartfelt, Samantha looked at her, sightless or not "I meant it, and i'm glad to hear it"
"So are we just trying to form a sort of secret police? I mean what would we actually be doing?" he paused, thinking for a moment it seemed "I want to help, but how can I with no fighting style and minimal strength?"
Samantha smiled "Well yeah, we're gonna be just like the nazis it'll be great!" she joked with a laugh "just kidding. seriously though, we would be more like regular police than secret ones, a presence to keep peace, and occasionally enforce, never to a cruel end though, and always with violence as the absolute last option. we want students to feel safe coming to school, they shouldn't fear their fellow students or us" she finished with a smile, of course, she had made all that up on the spot, Mr. A had not told her that was the plan or anything, but she figured a small comitee of dedicated students working underneath the pillar system wouldn't be a bad thing. it could work out very nicely, it was difficult for 4 people to watch over the whole school, with a handful of officers that where efficient the pillars wouldn't need to worry themselves about it.
"of course I don't know all the details myself, hence why I said I would set up a meeting" she said with a playful wink.
"and as for fighting, we will have our members who can fight, and trust me, we have members who can fight, teach the rest of us how its done. I'm in the same boat you are, but we'll get stronger."
at this point with no doubt Samantha was late to her detention with Mr. Amakusa himself, and she knew he would like to hear all about the things Samantha had been thinking up.
"Anyway, it was really great meeting both of you" she said hugging them both whether they liked it or not "I've got to get running, I have a meeting with Mr. A and I can't miss it" which sounded SO much better than 'I've got detention because I told some kid to go beat up another kid and luckily me and the teacher get along'
"Have a good one! i'll let you know about the meeting" she finished with a wave, turned and went on her way
-End Samantha-

OOC: I'm posting here to establish some... character growth/relationship observations. And because it'll help justify interacting with your characters specifically in the future, easier. This is just a one-shot post.Skulking Around ...Having heard his fill, the eavesdropper silently fled from his hiding spot in the overlooking window from the second floor, his long red hair chasing after him...He heard many good things today. Yes. Many good things.
Mayhaps tending to these would please him.
