History Information
History: Born Rodrick Smith to a working class couple his life would have been a mundane but safe and happy one, were it not for a freak fire in the apartment building where he was growing up. At the age of 6, Rodrick found himself in the care of child services. As possible foster parent came and went, Rodrick unruly and growing violent personality soon put him back in care. The years past and soon 6 years had passed and the care home where he lived no longer seemed to believe that anyone would ever keep him.
Rebellious and feeling trapped Rodrick broke out of the care home and soon found himself on the streets. Naive to life outside of care, he soon found himself being followed by a pair of thugs during the night out on the street. Ducking into a ally, he grabbed a broken chair leg from a dumpster and attacked one of them men as he turned the corner cracking his skull. The other thug quickly disarmed him, and threw him to the ground ready to take revenge for his partner, but was saved by the sound of siren in the night and ended back in care.
As the injured thug recovered from Rodrick's attack the other told his the story of what happened to other thugs above him, and it carried up and up the chain of those who they worked for, Toni Gallina. Upon hearing the story, Toni Gallina head of a small branch family of the modern California Mafia, was impressed that a child could injured one of his men so badly even with the element of surprise.
Having lost his wife before she had ever given him a child, and not trusting any of his lieutenants to take over the family, he had wanted a child for him to groom to take over for him before he grew to old to do so. As such Rodrick found himself being foster by the man, not knowing who he was.
At first Rodrick rebelled against the man, but Toni Gallina put down his rebelling with a strong hand yet loving heart, and slowly as he learnt more of who Toni was and what he wanted from the boy, his interest grew, and then turned to respect. 4 Years passed by as Rodrick changed under his foster father, turning from the straight up violent youth he had been, he became a more calculating yet still formidable young man. A young man who wished to help his father's power grow knowing it could one day be his own.
