((ooc: Closed betwixt Chi and Mr. Jason King. kthnx. )) Chi hadn't looked in the bag Valekin had left at the beach. Upon inspection of her neck, she noticed that the bag and her neck held the same symbol. What was it, identification? Did it mean something clandestine? She wasn't sure, and she was too afraid to ask. The bag of shady origin was now nestled safely in her backpack that was slung over her right shoulder. The junior made her way down the hall, dark eyeliner rimmed eyes looking at nothin in particular. She needed to deliver this parcel to a Mr. Jason King. Chi knew him as a teacher here at 259, as she had taken a class with him. So all she had to do was find him, give him the bag, and walk away. Simple, right? Once the final bell of the day rang, Chi approached his classroom door, biting her lip in a nervous fashion before raising her hand to knock before entering. Brownie points for politeness.

"Come in."
Mr. King was expecting someone to come to him with a package. He wasn't expecting one of his students that would be involved in this. He shook his head to dismiss it, as Miss Amuri came in. She looked a bit nervous to him, and he rightfully seeked to quell that feeling. In his usual and personal way.
"What can I do for you today Chi? Have a problem with a problem or another teacher. Willing to help, even though you're not my student anymore."
He said, turning around in his leather chair at his desk, peering through small reading glasses with a red pen in hand. He was correcting papers, they looked like term papers. Probably of his philosophy or Psychology students. As most students didn't take Mythology. King taught several 'ologies'.
I hope it's not a personal problem, that could take a while, and I'll miss the meeting with the gofer.

At the summoning, Chi opened the door and stepped into the classroom. She looked around at the empty classroom, it seemed a lot more erie when not flooded with students, especially when she had her assignment weighing down heavily on her. She made certain to close the door behind her...Valekin hadn't told her specifics about this exchange, but she was sure that she wasn't to show anyone else what she had.
"Oh, it's not that Mr. King...everything in school is fine. I've um, been given something for you. I'm not sure what it is, though." She swung her backpack in front of her, fumbling with the zipper. It was a simple exchange, but she was incredibly nervous. She wouldn't be surprised if her face was pale as well.

"Something to give me? This kid fails... Id is not the will to eat pandas and make glass."
What a moron.
He thought, about the kid that wrote that particular term paper. He was disappointed in that student, and planned on failing the paper. He turned the chair around, as it was the leather swiveling kind, and faced her. He cocked his head to the side, his hat almost falling off his head. He wondered what she had for him. Cookies? Maybe a gift for being so good to her as a student, and not failing her? Her paper was... decent, by his standards.
He expected everyone to do their research, and write very well. She had done that, though the usual brought her grade down a tad. Grammar, punctuation. Form.
"Whatcha got for me?"
Oh I hope it isn't the Thermite.

Chi found herself speechless for a moment as his speech changed to something about pandas, but she realized that he was grading papers. Her's had been on the mythical siren Calypso, and though it probably wasn't the best he had read, it was an interesting read by her standards. Reaching a hand into her bag, she pulled the small bag with the symbol on it out into view.
"I'm not sure what it is, really. But I was told to give it to you by someone who goes by the name 'Valekin.' Are you familiar with him?" She slowly held out the bag to her teacher to take, though still a bit hesitant.

He didn't take the bag from her, he gestured for her to put it away in her backpack with a wave of his hand. He looked at her face, and shook his head. It was sad that she got mixed up with Valekin, probably all by chance. What a mess.
"Yes, I'm familiar with him. If you checked my neck, you'd find the same symbol carved as well. I work for him, and what I do for him is a secret."
He put down a paper, and picked up another one, scanning it over. Making little corrections to trivial things, such as grammar and the like. He was a walking Grammatik, and Spell Checker. It was kinda weird that a teacher of many ologies was so oriented on literature. Rather than subject matter.
"Inside the bag is a small quantity of Thermite. The substance in the bag, if ignited, can burn through any car's engine block, and totally destroy liquid nitrogen."
He put down that paper, it was a paper on the Greek god Zeus. The kid did kinda well on it, but could have done a little better explaining the relationship between Zeus, Hera, and Hercules. Which he practically left out entirely.
"You'll be keeping that bag for a little while. Our mutual acquaintance is doing us all, and by that I mean the school, a favor. Are you familiar with the drug Brimstone?"

A confused look passed the junior's features as he refused to take the bag. She still held it in her hand, however, as her assignment became all the more confusing. Her free hand rose to the back of her neck, safely shielded by her curtain of raven hair. He knew about the symbol..how long had he been working for him? Was his paid enslavement merely by misfortune as well? This quick in-and-out assignment seemed to be growing more complicated by the moment.
Chi wasn't familiar with Thermite or its properties, but paid attention as Mr. King described its properties briefly. Her confusion simply increased, with an edge of curiosity, as he asked her about Brimstone. She'd heard whispers about it in the hallway, something about students taking it, but that was where her knowledge ended. "Isn't it a drug?"

"Yes.. I just said it was a drug. It runs a bit rampant in this school, and I believe the administration is giving it to the students, as a means of control. I confiscated this.. from one of my students."
He slipped a vial of Brimstone out of his coat pocket. It was in a vacutainer vial, thus it was hermetically sealed. Which was a good thing, he was flipping it end over end in his hand. Watching the strange fluid move around inside. Brimstone.
"It's a dangerous drug, and has some properties of steroids, and some mind-altering drugs like LSD. It depends on the person taking it. We don't know what it's composed of really. Take the vial downtown. In that snobbishly rich sector of downtown, there is a restaurant called the Cameo. Leave it with the host, and tell him it's for a 'Mr. Kaluskov'."
Mr. King sighed, and began correcting another paper, after he slide the vial to the other side of his desk for her to take with her. He peered over his glasses at her after a moment, and gave secondary instructions, after remembering them.
"Make sure you aren't followed, lie very well. You don't know what it is that you are carrying. Put the Vial in the bag that you were given. And if you are discovered, set it on fire. The bag has magnesium elements in it, so it'll ignite the Thermite. Destroying all the evidence."
I hope she carries a lighter.
He removed the reading glasses and looked at his former student with earnest, pleading her to be careful with his eyes.
"Don't get caught. Remember, the lives of your classmates may depend on it."

Chi mentally slapped herself in the forehead. Of course he had said it was drug, that's where she'd heard it. Idiot.. She chided mentally before paying attention once more. He didn't want the bag, he wanted her to take this so-called 'Brimstone,' put it in the bag, and deliver the entire thing to a Mr. Kaluskov. Kah-lus-kov. Need to remember that. The name was odd, foreign, stumbling across her mind as she repeated it. Just how many men were under this Valekin's power?
She stepped forward, the small vial making a light scraping noise as she picked it up from the desk. She tipped it over and back like he just had, watching the liquid move within the vial. Make sure you aren't followed, lie very well. You don't know what it is that you are carrying. That wouldn't be a problem. Before her conscience kicked in when Aureus fell into her life, Chi prided herself in her unwavering manipulative and lying skills. Plus, she didn't know everything about either of the objects in her hands, so it would be easy to pretend she knew nothing; her eyes wouldn't be able to give her away.
Chi untied the string from the top of the bag and placed the small vial in it, nodding at the teacher's instructions. If she were to be found out, she was to burn the entire package. No doubt Valekin would not be happy about that should it come to that, but it was better than being discovered. It was like one of those shows on tv with the underground crime rings. Don't speak, be stealthy, if all else fails, burn all evidence. Things were becoming simpler again, easier to understand.
...she would need to buy a lighter.
