Kirsty could feel the hangover descending over her. She stood in the parking lot, straddling her bike, a bottle of water in one hand and a cigarette in her mouth.
Looking up at the building she squinted through her black aviator glasses and took a drag of her cigarette, dropping it to the floor and extinguishing it with her scuffed biker boots. Today she'd come to school in her usual gothic attire, her black and red corset, black skin-tight leather bottoms and her matching leather jacket.
As she smirked at the disapproving looks she was receiving she stepped off the bike. Kirsty knew she stood out but she truly didn't care, she'd showered this morning and just left her hair to its own devices, it now hung in an almost surfer-girl fashion.
She glanced towards the front entrance and slung her bag over her shoulder, making her way inside to her new school.

Kevala.
Well she had no real reason to be at this school other than the fact she felt that if she showed up here, then maybe it would help to bring her out of this state she was in and possibly explain this constant nagging she had in the back of her mind as of late.
Whatever. She was just needing some sense of familiarity, and being that this was the first place that felt like anything close to a home for her, she knew it was going to be a big deal for her personally to come back.
Stepping onto the school grounds, her attire a simple pair of hip hugger jeans, black combat boots and a black tank top, which even now, still surprised her to be wearing.
Ever since the asylum her attire had never gone beyond jeans and a t-shirt. Nothing that drew attention. Yet here she stood, looking over the grounds and feeling the eyes of most of the male students drift in her direction.
She should have been used to it, they always had a way of singling her out due to her tiny structure and those piercing blue eyes, and yet, the feel of them watching her sent chills down her spine.
Whatever you are inside my head, please behave today.
The mental thought spoke to whatever it was lurking within her as she took a deep breath and continued toward the front entrance of the school. Her black hair falling around her shoulders, the light of the day shimmering off of it as she pushed her shades back onto her head.
A few more steps and she found herself within the all too familiar area.....Instantly feeling those memories starting to flood back.
So much so that as she walked, she didn't really notice the semi goth girl that stood not too far in front of her until she almost rain into her.
Thankfully though, she managed to stop herself and instead stumble to a halt.
"Oh....sorry bout that. Almost ran ya over there."
A light smile, that southern accent dripping from every syllable.

Steadying herself from the shock of someone actually speaking to her, Kirsty turned and looked at the girl who was addressing her, her eyebrow raised.
"It's cool. I was kinda out of it."
She waved her hand dismissively, perching her glasses on top of her head and rubbing her eyes, which at the moment were clear of makeup.
Having spent majority of the previous night in hospital, she was feeling far from chatty. Her head throbbed painfully, primarily from the large gash on her temple that lay tucked out of view under her hair amd secondly from the large amount of partying she'd done over the weekend.
Kirsty observed the girl standing in front of her, she'd had her fair share of experiences with the same sex but she knew that this girl wasn't her type, she had a slight air of mystery about her and had one of those bodies that made other girls weep with jealousy.

Taking in a further examination of this girl, she could not help but admire that she was indeed lovely. Though, honestly, since Mischa, Kev had no desire for any form of cat and mouse game with another female.
No, she was content to be, just her. Besides, she was still in the midst of figuring herself out, no need to be dragging other people into her mess.
Brushing her hair back from her face, those icy hues tilted to look up at the girl as she removed her glasses, Kev having just done the same, though her own were now resting in her hand.
"Well, I learned long ago that you tend to run into a lot of people who don't pay attention. Rather funny for a school that is built around violence."
She offered a slight laugh and a small shake of her head.
How long had it been since she last fought? Hell, the last time she had seen Gabriel, which had been far too long indeed.
Quickly though she pulled herself out of the thought and extended her free hand in a friendly gesture to shake. She was getting more and more used to touching other people, something that brought both curiosity and happiness.
"I am Kevala by the way. It is nice to meet you."
She was trying to be nice, trying to be the level headed and calm person that she was used to being over this last year. Though heavens knew that could change in an instant.

Kirsty hesitantly held out her hand, it was covered in cuts and bruises from the previous night so she tried to keep the handshake as brief as she possibly could.
"Kirsty."
This girl was a little too sweet for her liking but she was attractive all the same, Kirsty found her eyes wandering, glancing at the girls slender hips and... She stopped herself at that moment, shaking her head, she knew better than to get involved with another female. Her last relationship had been a girl called Rachel who'd left her for her college professor, a male one.
"I'm new here, its my first day."
Unfortunately. Kirsty didn't know what she was going to do about her current position, she had to go to school or she'd be locked up, pure and simple.
Taking a sip of her water she tried to ease the dryness that lingered in her throat.

Kev could feel the strange sensations seeming to reverberate off the girl, all part of her empathy toward other people's emotions. Yet she tried, very hard not to let them stir anything within her.
What was wrong with her? Two weeks ago she had not been able to stomach the thought of being near a person, and yet, here she was looking at this girl and finding her eyes wandering from lips, to throat, to breasts, and further still. Well at least until the moment she caught herself and her eyes quickly jumped back to attention.
"Ah, new kid huh? Never easy. When I started here, I was pretty much singled out to be beaten up all the time."
She scoffed at the idea, icy hues seeming to literally darken, if only for a moment before returning to normal.
"Trust me, they back down once you kick a few asses and make them wish they were dead."
Mentally she winced. So much for controlling whatever it was that desperately wanted to claw its way out of her mind. Honestly, that run in with Olivia had woken something up, just what though was still to be determined.
"I am sure you will do fine here. I managed somehow."
A group of students moving to pass by, a few taking note of Kevala and making sure to avoid running into her.
Oh come on! I was not that bad!
Okay, so that was a lie. But who cared.

Kirsty revelled in the way Kevala was looking at her, she liked receiving attention, from anyone really. But in particular, women.
"I assumed as much." She spoke quietly, watching the kids pass, each with bruises or scars. Each mark telling a story.
"Although I'm not sure if I'm going to stick around."
Tucking her hair behind her hair, Kirsty forgot the cut on her forehead and left it exposed. Unzipping her jacket she pulled it off slowly, accentuating her every curve. She noticed that several guys mouths had dropped open and they were tripping over themselves at the two beauties that stood talking.
She felt a tad threatened by the girl in front of her, she had a certain quality about her that made her almost ooze sex appeal. Something that Kirsty herself lacked.

Kev was so used to the stares that at this point they did not bother her anymore. More and more she felt the old her starting to surface and that scared her.
She was not sure she liked who she used to be. She had lost everything. Mischa, Gabriel, Jack, it was a list that went on and on, and if it had not been for her own stupidity then none of that would have happened.
Yet still, when Kristy started to remove her jacket, she could not stop her eyes from once again wandering. A flash of thoughts erupting in her mind, thoughts of things she was unsure she would ever think again.
This time, it took a long moment to pull her eyes away and return them back to the other girl's face.
"Oh? Well, it would not be that surprising. I mean, the school is what the school is, and a lot of student skip class. Hell, I used to do it all the time. Always thought I had something better to be doing."
Yes, she had spent most of her time here with Gabriel, and that had consumed her life. But now, well, that was over and she was on her own.
Blue eyes taking in the minor scratches and cuts that covered the girls hands and more notably the one on her head, though for Kevala there was nothing shocking or disturbing about that. She had scars, deep ones, harsh reminders of things that had been done to her over the years.
"But, I can say that there are plenty of people around here that are not so bad. They just seem guarded, but thats natural."
Yes, one of the most guarded was herself, but no need to bring that one up.

Pulling her bag higher up onto her shoulder Kirsty looked at her watch, she had a free right now so she was going to take a look around. Although she had no idea where she was going.
"Hey um do you know if there's anywhere I can get a map of this place? I have no clue where I'm going."
Her light blue eyes fixed on Kevala's face, studying it, trying to figure her out. Kirsty had always found it difficult to read people, although she supposed that it was because she wasn't very comfortable in social situations.
At that precise moment her eyes trailed down to her lips, wondering if they were as soft as they looked. She'd had a pretty intense experience with a girl two nights previously and her lips had been exceptionally soft, especially as they trailed down... Kirsty broke herself out of that train of thought and smiled politely.

Kev on the other hand was an expert at reading people, and the things she felt coming from this girl were....intense and with a bit of curiosity and lust mixed in.
Normally the red flags would have gone off, but instead it was something else,
You know what it is...
She had to think for a moment. Had that been her voice just now inside her head, or was it........No, no...It couldn't be.
Trying to avert herself back to the conversation she nodded.
"Yeah, you can get a map in the office, though I warn you now, its just as confusing as the hallways. It is designed like those "in case of fire" maps that they post on the wall. You know? The ones where you end up praying that if there is a fire you can figure out where that one red line is that marks the exit."
She laughed softly, tongue brushing against her lips as she reached up and tucked her hair behind her ears. Around her wrists were her two black cuffs, most of the cuts she had inflicted hidden there, though some did manage to peek out.
She had gotten carried away with her hunger last night, and well, she lost it for a bit. Something that was becoming more and more difficult to control it seemed.

Sighing inwardly, Kirsty realised that her hint hadn't gone very far. But she realised that it was probably for the best, had she gotten this girl alone, who knows what would have happened.
"Oh right, thanks. I'll bear that in mind."
She pulled her glasses back down, knowing that she was in dangerous territory with this girl. She felt like she was way in over her head, something which she hadn't felt since..
"Rachel.."
Her eyes widened as she realised she'd spoken out loud, her embarrassment evident as she cleared her throat, preparing to walk away.

Oh the hint had not been lost on Kev, but she had been trying to desperately pull herself away from what that sort of situation might have imposed.
Yet, as the girl seemed to withdraw from her, it only proved to peek her interest. Not to mention the waves of emotions rolling off this girl were both different and yet similar to those that Kev herself had felt time and time again.
Then, when that name was uttered, Kevala paused, her mind playing over everything she had witnessed and everything she had felt from the girl. A bit of realization hitting her, though she was not sure if she was correct.
"Mine was named Mischa...."
Her eyes lowering as the girl began to walk away.
"I loved her.....but was too foolish to see what I was doing to her until it was too late.....They never stop haunting you....Random moments of the day, when you think you are fine, their name or their face comes into your mind and your world stops, for just a moment and you feel like you are sucked right back into that pain."
She was not sure why she was saying this to a girl she had just met, but maybe she just needed to get it off her chest, or maybe, she just wanted the girl to knew she understood.
Either way, she was probably better off leaving before the girl threatened to kick her ass and tell her how much she hated her. Kev had enough of that the last few weeks.
"If you need anything, I will be around campus for awhile....I am sorry to...I should not have said anything."
Nodding as she moved to head toward the exit, just needing some fresh air....not leaving......just...air.

As Kevala turned away from her, Kirsty turned and ran. She ran as fast as her body would let her, she needed to get away, she needed to be alone. Everything she had been surpressing for the past year had begun to spill over the edge. When faced with her past, she always did what came natural to her, she switched into self-destruct mode.
"Fuck.."
Kirsty ducked into the nearby bathroom, locking the door behind her. Instantly her anger took over and before she knew what she was happening her fist had come into contact with the mirror in front of her.
"FUCK!!"
She released an almighty scream, every thought of Rachel gave her the worst possible pain she had ever felt. As she curled up on the floor, her fist hammered the ground. Her breath shook in her chest as her eyes closed tightly.

Kevala had a tendancy to push the wrong buttons, but at the same time, she was never one to keep her mouth shut. Not when so much of who she used to be was bubbling to the surface.
Sensing the anger that came forth as the girl ran off, Kev could not bring herself to go after her. There was still that lingering fear of being hurt that she just could not shake at the moment....
So outside she went, taking a few calming breaths, that anger having spurred the emotion hungry demon inside her. Rounding a corner, she fished out a small razor from her pocket. Removing one of the cuffs on her wrist and then looking to make sure nobody was around.
As soon as she was sure it was safe, she dug the razor against her flesh, a shiver running down her spine as pain erupted from the wound. But just as the pain started to fade, the scent of blood hit her nose....tongue licking slowly along the self imposed wound and sating whatever hunger had just come up within her at the feel of Kirsty's anger.
It was not long though, for the cut was small, before Kev had wrapped her band around her wrist once more and then seemed to regather her composure.
She really should check on the girl.....Right?
No...stay away...
No, that was definitely not her voice, but for now, she did as she always had and ignored it. Going back into the school.
It was not hard to find the girl, the crowd outside the girls room a clear indicator......With a little glare cast to them, they backed off, allowing Kev room to slip into the door and then stand stationary against the wall.
"I am sorry...."
Her tone was more sultry now, less strained.....The nerves having passed thanks to the blood, she was more relaxed and at ease.
"It was not my place to say anything. I should not have, but I have a bad habit of speaking my mind."
A glance given to the damage done to the mirror as well as the girl, though no real through given to it.
Kev stabbed people when she got mad, so who the hell was she to judge?

Kirsty picked herself up from the ground, her eyes were focussed on the other girl,. At that moment something in her snapped.
"I'm glad you did."
She pushed the door closed, making sure no one would walk in. She knew how it must have seemed to Kevala, she didn't intend to scare her. As she made her way to the beauty that stood nearby, she let her bag and jacket drop to the floor.
Kirsty found her hands sliding onto Kevala's waist, pushing her back ever so slightly into the wall. She pressed her body to hers, her eyes still fixated on her as she leaned in, her tongue brushing the other girl's collarbone.
With that she pulled away, stepping back and releasing Kevala from her grip.
