Yes, as you probably guessed, I'm the new guy, and I'm looking to get some advice as to how to survive on this site, though I'll be getting a lot of info from a good friend of mine who also is on this website. So basically, to all of you experienced people, what do I do to not die?

Welcome there new guy. I always found that making an ass out of myself and then jumping out of a window when the fight got too bad was the best way to do it.

Well, Asiv got it right. Pretty much lay low or join up under someone stronger then you.
Although he missed... avoid Autumn on a bad day. >.> Just sayin...

Anyways, Isaac is a friend of mine from real life. I pop on this site a lot, and he got curious. However, he's completely new to RPing. I'd greatly appreciate you guys giving him tips as we go along.
I would mentor him, except I've got a few bad habits of my own I need to break, and there's no point ingraining those into him.
So, if you don't mind, please help him however you can!
... That does not mean killing him. Or causing him serious injuries for no good reason.

Well, if he asks for help Orion I'll offer it. I don't think I can give him any "REAL" pointers except for punctuation and remember to break your paragraphs apart. I know I can get my paragraphs pretty long but breaking them up makes reading easier. ^_^

Shugo, Orion will do pretty much whatever he wants. He just won't do anything to harm you DIRECTLY. Mainly cuz your housing him.

Every person who joins is now incredibly valuable. Join the Paladins for sheer numbers! Join Shugo to help take up a neutral-good settlement in the north! Join Barker and a man capable of slaughtering an entire school of students will be a most capable (if mildly dubious) ally!
Or sit back, relax, and watch us squabble over you. Crows and a certain other underground group would love to have you, of course... But there's always room for "non-joiners," who want to watch things unfold from within a safe haven.

Since two people have mentioned it, I have no idea what it means, and I'm pretty sure you'll all get to have a good laugh at me for asking this, what's a crow? In this world, that is. I'm aware of what a real crow is.
