The staff lounge, a wonderful place for the teachers of 259 to rest, drink coffee, swap stories and gossip, and simply pass time when they aren't controlling all the little snots on the school grounds. It was a haven of sorts, a kind of get away...all they really needed was a hot tub or something wicked awesome like that.
"Hmmm...hot tub.." Olivia mused, scribbling on a largish piece of paper at the circular table in the room. It was a sketch of the staff lounge. Maybe it was just for fun, or maybe this room was in dire need of renovations. "It could go near the tiiki bar...heh." A cup of coffee sat to her left, and she paused to grasp it and take a sip, her pencil still in her hand as she did so.

Oki heaved a heavy sigh and walked into the room. Closing her eyes as she hummed, a long blink passed and she closed the door behind her and stepped out of it's way, leaning against a wall. It was almost time to go home and...she still lived where he should have been. She felt the same sorrow she had felt before begin to well in her chest- and at the realization that there was someone else in the room, she quickly wiped her eyes and swallowed her tears.
Setting Paddle by the chair she frequented, the large red and squishy chair she had found rather inviting. She smiled, made herself some hot tea- and made a cup for the other instructor. Setting it down she offered a broad happy smile. "Oki believes they have not met. Oki Watari Nanda, nurse and Advanced English. Herself?"

Jason walked into the Staff Lounge, only a little pissed off. Really, you couldn't blame him. Some of these kids weren't really the kind that one could negotiate with. All the more reason to go to the lounge, and drown yourself in caffeine.
"Oh... hello."
He said, when he noticed his new colleague. Then he noticed Oki. Well, whaddya know! What a nice person to see. This could be a fine picker uper indeed.
"Hello Oki, how've you been lately?"
Coffee coffee coffee.
He got himself some coffee, black. No sugar, no cream. Nothing. Just plain old black coffee. Well roasted and ground. Mmmmmmm.

Olivia looked up as the door opened for the first time, admitting a female teacher. Olivia hadn't seen her before, but then again, she was new. She looked sad, but then tried to hide it. It was probably one of those things she probably shouldn't bring up. As she sat down, she was quick to introduce herself, which was a good sign. Olivia did note, however, that she was talking in the third person, which she found quite...cool. Olivia grinned. "Olivia St. Vincent. Art. Nice to meet you." She added the finishing line to her hot tub outline on her staff room sketch when the door opened as well. He made a hesitant greeting before turning to Oki Nanda and greeting her by name. That must mean the first one was for her.
"Hello, I'm eh, a bit new here. Olivia St. Vincent." She introduced herself, smiling and taking another sip of her coffee as the other teacher retrieved a cup of his own. Though hers was mixed with sugar and milk. Lots and lots of sugar and milk.

Oki beamed sunshine and happiness for both of them. After all what good was Oki when she was sad. With death came these feelings and she was...all to familiar with them. Oki was considering mourning time to be at the same time she and Mikon began their search for a new home.
"Pleasure to make her acquaintance," Oki answered Olivia with a small bow. The short, busty woman may have been heavy on sorrow but not slight on manners or grace. In his silent dignified way, Paddle also greeted the new teacher- though his expression of 'stand stall and be silent' never changed.
She looked almost for an instant, sadly at Jason King. He was her friend, very kind, helpful- and for some reason, maybe Oki was simply being silly- why did no one seem to miss him as much as she did. But that look vanished within seconds of appearing and she laughed, "Oki has been wonderful! She's finished chapters 67 through 71 in the last few days. Her editor is very pleased. And himself?"
Oki took her rightful place in the cozy red chair with her tea. Sipping it- slowly and without her usual enthusiasm.

"Well, I'm glad you say you're wonderful. The little bastards in my psychology class think Freud hated his father too. Which just wasn't the case, he only hated his mother, the bitch, excuse my French."
He was a bit stoic for a moment, then he sipped the coffee, and could feel that life giving chemical rush into his veins like giant radioactive rubber pants. Folgers in your cup!
"I've been substituting for freshmen english since our regular fresh-soph english teacher has disappeared. AGAIN. Bastard, when he gets back, I'm going to subject him to Amon Ra's judgement."
He mumbled something under his breath.
"I hope he rips his heart out and tosses him down the pyramid."
Sipp..
Sipp..
Jason had settled himself in the least comfortable chair possible, as was his custom. He could never be relaxed in the lounge. For one, it didn't have a big leather chair for him to sit in. He was a teacher to the end, relaxed amongst his books, in his own bed, and in his classroom. No where else. Kinda sad.

Olivia, on the other hand, was quite comfortable in her chair. Her sparkly flip flops lay footless on the floor at the foot of her chair, her feet tucked up indian style under her legs. She was tapping her pencil on the table thoughtfully, muttering to herself and drawing with her finger on the paper before shaking her head and tapping her pencil again. She looked up as Oki spoke about chapters and an editor. "You're writing a book?" She asked curiously. Olivia liked creative writing, but unlike her art, she never was able to finish anything she started writing.
'You'd think there'd be more students out there who liked art." Olivia replied to still nameless-to-her teacher's ranting about the student body. They were quite disappointing, she couldn't disagree, as she had only had two students in her first art class. Where was the creativity in PHS 259? Apparently it was under a rock.

Oki winced at the swear, eyes narrowed for a moment, then returned to normal. She tilted her head to the side, big brown eyes focusing on Olivia St. Vincent, "Yes, Oki is writing a book. Competitive Negligence- more of an observation and biography than anything- Oki's been at it for...six year now. Revelations of Jade is the first of the series- printed three years ago..sadly Oki was a bit frivolous with her financial gain."
Then her attention shifted to Jason King, "Why is he teaching English? Oki could easily fill the time slot for him. Unless of course the extra hours are needed. Oki's going to initiate a student assistant nurse for extracurricular activities soon."

"Because Zack asked me to. And I'm going to."
Even if I didn't like his methods of control. He was still.. a good person. And I'll honor that.
"You know full well that I don't need extra hours Oki. My masters degrees allow me to live comfortably. Oh how rude of me..."
He just realized he didn't introduce himself to his other colleague. Oh dear. How badly he felt. With that he took off his hat, and tipped it to her.
"I'm Jason King, the resident ology teacher. Psychology, Phiosophy, Mythology, and several other ologies. Pleasure."
He had been so erratic of late. The shock of Zack's death was still reeling in his mind. He was a more shadowy mourner though. He hated the man's methods, but the man was good. Zack loved the kids, and died protecting him. He was there, at the aftermath.

A grin. "That sounds interesting. I've never been able to finish anything I've started when it comes to writing." She nodded, before falling silent as she half listened to the other teacher's talking, drawing a bit more on her large piece of paper.
Zack, the male teacher probably meant Zack Asiv..word had travelled that he had recently passed away. Even though she was new, it was still a bit of a shock for Olivia, as the man had just finished showing her around the school and welcoming her to 259 before it had happened. The poor man, and it seemed to be hitting hard as well...Maybe that's what Oki was crying about, she speculated. She may be an art teacher, but she could put 2 and 2 together quite easily.
Olivia nodded in greeting. "Pleasure to meet you." She almost went to introduce herself again (she'd been doing that a lot since arriving here, but she realized she already had twice. "That's quite interesting, I dabbled in a bit of Psychology myself, though art is my true calling." She looked down at her paper, tracing a square with the eraser end of her pencil. "Maybe a pool table.." She muttered to herself, thinking, her free hand reaching for her coffee cup once more.

"Zack.." Tears welled for a moment in her eyes at his name. He had said his name and she could feel her heart grasping at straws to not fall apart. Her hands shook so hard, the hot tea spilled over her hands, giving her just the right jolt to not cry in sorrow. "Gah! Hot! Hot! Ohh!" She hopped up and ran to the sink, turning on the cold water and running it over her hand.
Paddle expressed concern but Oki only smiled weakly- thank the gods for this small break in emotion. Pain. Yes- for not that would be enough to keep her from bursting into tears.

"Careful Oki! Tea is hot-ta-ta-ta.."
Why did I just say that?
"The kids these days don't--- pool table? I'd love to have a pool table. I don't have the space for one in my house though. Not with all the books and things in there. I have... three libraries."
Kinda freakish.
"Not that I'm a freak... it's just that I don't have anyone else occupying the place with me, except my pets. But they are all in the main library. I'd entertain more, but I'm not the rave kind of party guy."
He leaned back in his chair, sipping the hot black coffee, almost spilling it on himself, instead his pants got hit. Stain defenders for the win! Ha ha! He took a napkin, and swiped it off before it got too hot on his pants.

Olivia's gaze drifted over to Hiroko, who was washing vegetables in the staff lounge, treating it as if it were his own kitchen. Strange, but oddly enough, Olivia found it comforting...maybe she should put a full but compact and accessible kitchen behind the bar as well? At the sound of the other male teacher, Jason King, speaking, Olivia looked back to him and glanced down at her paper, her pencil poised motionless over it.
"Oh..! Yes...I'm designing a new lounge...whether for the fun of it for an actual idea...there's pool table. And a hot tub...maybe a kitchen.." She began muttering to herself, erasing and redrawing the bottom right corner of the paper, nibbling on the eraser every once in a while.
