With two bags slung over his shoulders, Ender entered PHS 259 for the first time. The two bags were carried with ease, and one's shape even gave away it's contents: a guitar. Yes, it was his prized Gibson Les Paul Studio Premium Plus with customized pickups, a nice transparent black finish, and binding. It sounded like a dream, and not a day passed that he didn't play it. It was one of the few things he owned that he actually cared about.
His other burden was a black duffel bag with a few personal effects he would put into his new office. Alcohol, a box of guitar picks and strings, a few books that were on his "To Read" list, a few notebooks, and a laptop. Maybe tomorrow he would bring Asimov along as well.
The animal would easily be able to fend for himself, in the event that any of the students thought it would be a good idea to harm the new Supervisor's pet. After all, he wasn't any regular cat. He had been a present from Ender's parents, more of a completed lab experiment to tell the truth, but that's what made him so fun. Felines are agile enough as it is, but when you genetically enhance them, watch out.
Going back to the twenty two year old, he sure didn't look like the Supervisor type, or even like a staff member. He was dressed in a plain white shirt, and ragged old jeans. Ontop of that, he was doing his best to hide his high level of Qi. Keeping a low profile for the first day was his main concern.
There seemed to be the moderate level of violence he had heard about from the school board, but it wasn't anything out of control. The students all seemed to be level with each other, and there were a few teachers about keeping everything in order.
As he went along, Raikeru focused on pulling out the most notable Qi levels from the insane amount surrounding him. The faculty stood out instantly, but that was to be expected. There were a few with even higher levels than his, and one that towered above all others, even scared him a little bit. I wonder...maybe it's that Hiroko character I've heard so much about. As far as students went, there were only a handful worth any thought.
By the time he had finished his initial Qi survey, the young man had reached the front door. Only a few steps away, and what happened? Well it seemed three students wanted to play a nice game of:
"Hand over the bags, guy." Well now, they didn't talk like the wannabe gangsters at his old school, and knew how to get to the point. Ender liked them already. "Hmm, what if I don't wanna? You gonna beat me up or something?" The Supervisor asked with a laugh, like it was nothing more than a game.
It seemed his upbeat appearance annoyed them, probably because he was boarder line mocking them as well. And so, they didn't waste any time rushing him all at once. "Feisty, eh?" Ender inquired with a smile after jumping up and behind them, resting a few feet away. "You guys should run more, you're soooo slow." He teased, already able to tell that they were going to try again, this time a tad further apart.
Standing perfectly still, the Psychology teacher allowed the first young man to start swinging. A duck here, a pivot there, a side step, and a turn was all it took to tire the kid out. As he was panting, the newcomer bopped him on the head, letting a little bit of his Qi flow out. One... He counted mentally before rushing over to the remaining students and pushing them in the chest, knocking them over. Hopping a few feet back, he stared them down.
With a snap of his fingers, their world went dark. If they looked at him, his Qi level would appear off the chats, even higher than that of Hiroko. And that damn creepy smile of his haunted their every thought. Another snap and they all doubled over in pain. They couldn't move and longer, and it felt like someone was slowly pressing more and more knives into their bodies.
Ender was sure to block all of the signals sent from the speech center of the brain, he didn't want them yelling out and causing a scene. Any onlooker would simply see him standing innocently in front of the students, as they stood next to each other in a stupor. After a total of about thirty seconds, the Supervisor was content that they had been punished enough. Pushing past them, he snapped again and they went back to normal, though obviously shooken up. The best part was, he was able to pick and choose just what had actually been stored in their memory. They wouldn't know what he had done to them, except that he was dangerous.
In case you're wondering, was the snapping really necessary? No, not at all, but Ender felt it added some pizazz to the whole thing. Stepping inside the school, he made his way to the main office. Looking for the secretary's name plate, he swooped into action.
"Ah, Mary! It's wonderful to meet you, I'm the new Supervisor," he said happily as he placed his hand on her shoulder. All of a sudden, she forgot everything that had just happened and went into a little black room. In a few seconds, she would be fine, and never remember him at all. It would be just enough time for him to place his things in his office and then leave. And so he did.
It wasn't every day that he did things like this, use his Qi so frequently that is, but sometimes it just needed to be done. He wanted to get a real feel as to what the school was like, and if people knew who he was, they would act differently, at least for a little while. So for today, he would be just another face in the crowd.
Walking casually through the halls, Ender wondered just what today had in store for him.
OOC: Dear lord I'm into this character. o.o
Well I suppose it's not a bad thing. All posters welcome. More than one too.
