The side effects were ignored, he had caused it, he was not going to pay it any more mind then he had when he wrapped those fingers so snuggly about her pretty little neck in he first place. Instead, focus shifted to the sound of a wife. That got a brow raise, the man perturbed it seemed. Not about her blatant bi-sexuality, no, he had known about that for as long as he knew his sister, that was not what was on trial here in his mind, what was on trial was that marriage.
That was what the ring clinging to her finger, split part meant, she was married to someone. Well. It was another piece to add to the playing board, but given he had no idea who it was? He did not care any further then that first odd little tweak of that furred arch above his eyes.
"Mm. Well. Guess she'll just have to get used to it won't she?"
He asked that with that smug grin back on his lips again, Kevala knowing he would have had something to say to that affect because he was not worried about the thoughts of others.. she said it herself.
The card he was given was stashed away in his pocket and he would have shifted that devilish grin to a smile instead.
"Mm. I do look forwards to catching up more.. maybe with a little more blood next time.. keep in mind though I do want to see our children."

She arched her brow slightly at his words, a little shake of her head as she shifted to stuff her hands back into her pockets.
"Clearly you do not know my Mischa...She does not simply "get used to" things like this. Nor will she be getting over it any time soon."
She practically winced at the comment. This was going to be a fun thing to discuss with her when she got home. "Oh by the way baby, guess who I ran into today..." Ugh...this was bad. Still she just sighed and shook her head once more, her tongue slowly trailing her lower lip as she looked away for a moment.
When he spoke once more, she turned her eyes back to him, her brow arching just slightly once again as she gave a short little laugh.
"I do not know how much more catching up you wish to do, but I doubt that blood will be playing a part in any of it..."
Was actually hard to say. She was starving right now, so it was not easy to turn down such a temptation, but she managed, somehow.
"Yes, yes...you wish to see the children...Still uncertain as to what you are up to, but I will make arrangements none the less. I am sure I do not have to tell you what will happen should you harm them..."
A grin given, though it was somewhat dark in nature. He knew her well enough to know what lengths she would go to over something like that.

Mischa... name was familiar.. he knew a Mischa, tiny little thing, he gave her a bullet proof vest as a gift.. Actually genuinely liked the girl as a friend, something rare to find in a womanizer like him. Hmm. He thought about it for a moment before shaking it off and focusing back on the task at hand. Her wife would not like it would she? All the more fun.
Then she got on the topic of blood he had brought up.. doubtful? Oh. That thirst, he could practically see her quivering at just the sight of his blood, somehow he doubted that she'd be able to resist such a willing morsel.. no. It was more probable then she would give it credit.
"Ah.. we will see dear sister, we will see."
He said, as he did not push the issue more than needed. Then there was the issue of the big man harming the children.
"Dear sister I dare say you know what I am capable of.. If I wanted to hurt the children I would have ended you and then tracked them down myself, I do have such a nose for things.. no. I meant what I said and I will call you in a while once you get situated."

She would arch her brow slightly, eyes constantly watching him, watching his face and his eyes. She knew him well enough to know that what he spoke was truth. If he had wanted to hurt them, he would have, but that did not mean she was going to let him by without knowing just what she would do in order to protect them.
She had given them up to protect them, therefore it would be no small task to hurt anyone who chose to hurt them. She just could not believe his timing. Only when she thought to bring her children back home did he choose to pop up and want to see them. Coincidences were eerie at times....though for her, it only proved to spark her paranoia.
"I am fully aware of what you are capable of brother...But do not forget what I myself am capable of."
She raised her brow once more, just slightly. She was not going to budge on the issue. A little nod finally given as she let out a soft sigh.
"Very well, give me two days. I shall be more situated then as will the children."
She started to turn and walk away, to try and figure out how she was going to go about telling Mischa about this. Not sure if she could, or what she would do really...This was not exactly how she wanted to start out their marriage....but she wasn't in the mood to lie to her either.
"Tell me..."
She stopped and turned back to face him, her head tilting just slightly.
"Do you even recall their names?"

"Aiden... Kazumi..."
He'd always been partial to Aiden, it'd have been a name he'd have pulled out of a hat if he had been lying, and the sad part is he would have been right as well regardless of the true memories of his children's names. The other, however, was far more rare in his mind.. there was no way he could have twisted up the name of one of his twisted family with that of his own child, so there was no one else it could have belonged to.
Still. As he looked back up to his sister he just shrugged and smiled at her before he said,
"I suppose it does not matter though.. even if I had forgotten it would only be appropriate I get to know them again brand new.. ah... either way. I look forward to seeing them.. as I said dear sister."
With that he'd have plugged those ears back up finally, the conversation had ceased it seemed and he was going to go rummage about the rubble for a little while longer.. nothing in mind in particular, just wanting to assess just how badly the place had been decimated by Barker.

She had to admit she was surprised that he recalled their names, and despite her current mood she smiled. Genuine in fact. A little bow of her head to his final words. She was not a total bitch, no matter how much she wanted to hate him, or be angry at him. She couldn't. He was not exactly like the rest of their family, therefore, she couldn't exactly pin him into the same category of hate that she held for them.
"I am sure it will be a very interesting evening...."
She sighed as she turned to leave. How was she going to explain this to Mischa? It wasn't like the woman didn't know the twins had a father, she just had never quite put together who their father was. It wasn't something Kevala openly talked about, and honestly, she wasn't sure she was ready to do so now.
Shaking her head, she inched her way through the rubble. She had come here for a reason, but as of right now, that reason escaped her. Her mind was too focused on the things she had to do, and the places she had to go. Hoping that everything worked out in the end.
Grabbing her cell out of her back pocket, she scanned through the numbers, a slight grin as she fell upon the number of that little Sudeki witch that had access to her children. She could have called Spike, but he was off being his Father's son. No, she would take this route...and besides....it was always so much fun to rile that little bitch up.
Dialing the number she would wait til the voicemail picked up. Knowing full and well Astrid would not be willing to answer her call.
"Hello dearest...Remember when I handed the twins over back in San Diego and there was that....under the table agreement we came to. Yes well...I am calling that in. You know you don't want them in your family any more than I do at this point....So hear from you soon I would think."
A little grin as she hung up the phone. She knew that she of course could not pick up the twins. She would end up in a fight with that little tart and well...the kids didnt need to see that. But Mischa could....Shaking her head she would just stuff her phone back into her pocket and continue on.
