Well, I didn't see any thread for this and so I am asking. How does one make a Qi and would someone be able to help me create one?

It's preferable if you didn't think of their powers like X-men powers, since that is relatively extreme/overly powerful compared to the powers capable on here. Psychics, for example, would lead to godmodding and telekinesis-based characters would be too powerful for a normal character utilization for the board's balance. Likewise, we don't have powers like in One Piece that could make you create earthquakes... although you could probably develop a "Rubber Man" Qi since that's more personally-based (within reason, of course ). You go ahead and use the link provided by Delilah, but in terms of helping you create one, there are many profiles we can point you towards to help you create one in terms reference. Please keep in mind that new characters (if your character is new to the site, not new in general) no longer start out with Qi and must acquire one through battle/quest/territory-related battle, etcetera. Squee is our Qi mod and will go over your Qi if/when you complete it and make sure it is balanced for the site's intents and purposes. We're here bounce ideas and guide you ("You can do this; Nope, that's a little too powerful), but apologetically it is outside of our call to help with the creation of the Qi itself. If you wish to gain inspiration from the original series, the Xin Series is where we had sprouted from. I hope that was helpful. Thank you for your time! In the future, we do have a "Help Board" that you can post for further questions directed directly at the staff, if need be.

Well, before there was Qi, we just roleplayed stuff. For example, my character was a berserker. Would that be an accepted idea and how would one go about designing it? I am just curious.

I see...
Yeah, this is the first time I've seen "Tobias Ross" so if you chose to make a level-based Qi, it'd be at level 1 (unless you can provide me a link).
In terms of Qi possibilities: Yeah, we've had beserker Qi's on here before. You can check out "Tuvlan's" crossed out section to see the type of Qi he had before the recent reforms... with the link provided by Delilah above, those would be your boundaries.
I highly recommend (and may ask you to include if it isn't) a "Charisma Cost." Basically, you start every thread with full Charisma and you spend your Charisma as though it were mana/magic points (but this doesn't permanently consume it, just for that thread only unless an interval rest is actually put into it).

Oh? Ok. That actually sounds interesting. Could a person have more than one type of Qi? Also, Leon knows me if that counts at all.

Qis can change, depending on if your character goes through some sort of life-changing, traumatic/and or long period of training... but there aren't many cases of "multiple Qi's." I won't say "at all" because of some of the "copy cat" Qi's that were running around a while ago until the community more or less got sick of those fellows, but it's not an impossibility, just potentially harder to do under the current systems. Otherwise, you'll be stuck with one Qi. And yeah, no favoritism here.~

The reason I ask is because he used to be a berserker. He has moved past that a while ago and would only retain the basics of such. He would have a Qi that leans more toward his martial art at his current state. Hence why I asked. I would like to build two Qi's. One he has but doesn't use and one that he is building now.

Well, you were roleplaying him as a beserker without a Qi prior to coming to 259. But now you come to 259 with a focus on martial arts, which is fine.
I'd suggest instead then to focus your normal fighting style on your character's martial arts and focus your Qi on beserking or vice versa. We do not allow multiple Qi's on here and I must reject that. IC-wise, your character would die if he had two. If you really wanted, you could probably reliquish your character's position as a PC and become a quest character that was horribly experimented on and end up deranged... but I don't think anyone wants to end up like Mitsuomi.
I must, unfortunately, reject your request, unless you can make it plausible and fuse the two into one.
And yes, you can do that, including creating two different modes but using the same medium within your character. Different "character moves" if you will, if you look at "Unfettered's" Qi (who has about 20-30 different Qi moves of differing levels of severity and differing capabilities).
IC-wise, you could make mention that your character began to develop a beserker's Qi but sealed it away or something with his new martial-arts based Qi, if that's what you're aiming for, but you would not be allowed to use your Beserker Qi at all, if that is what you intended.
