Wandering (Open)

Valo sighed as he wandered the halls of 259, his hands shoved deep into his pockets. His deep blue eyes stared out from underneath blue-ish bangs, and his feet slowly carried him through the school. He had no idea where he was going right now, he just wanted to take a walk.

Eventually, he found himself up on the roof, and he walked over to the edge, staring down at the ground below. He had to get used to this place, it was much different than 552...

The Sky Dragon shrugged, his mind elsewhere at the moment.

“You’re so high up, why do you seem down?... A little. Maybe I’m just seeing things again.”

-- If Valo was wondering where that voice was coming from, he would soon find out. A silver haired figure, dressed in black with his right hand fingers on his spectacles, extended his right leg fully and spun on his left heel, taking a wide step form behind one of the large air vents protruding out of the roof’s surface.

“And I beg your pardon, but you seem… Familiar?”

-- The silver haired one blinked and adjusted his glasses again, leaning forward a little.

“Have we met, or am I just dreaming again?”

That voice... ~It's familiar.~

Valo quickly turned around, his greaves skidding along the ground as he looked up at the one who talked to him. His eyes widened, he seemed to know who the guy was, but it still slipped his mind. It looked like...

"...Saito?"

What would Saito be doing here? How many people from 552 actually transfered to 259 in the first place? It was really weird, Valo only expected to see Leon as a familiar face... His blue eyes shined through his bangs as he stared at the guy's face. It was Saito? Wasn't it? It had been so long since he had seen him, it had been so long since he had seen anybody familiar.

“Saito? Why yes, I be he. Or I am him. Am he. Is him. Is he? Ah, forget it…”

-- So maybe he lost a few marbles during his trip to Long Beach. So what? It had a way of throwing people off. Just as he adopted a little bit of a new look, his personality seemed to be a little more… Loopy than usual. Loopy, was that a good word?

Hell yeah.

“And you are… Val…o?”

-- He hadn’t seen Valo in a while, if this was him. What he could remember was fighting him a lot when they were both younger. By a few years in fact. Ah, the good old days.

Stop reminiscing!! Yes, I’m speaking to you!... Myself!!... Gah!!!

“It’s a pleasure to see you here. Unexpected, but a pleasure~!”

-- And now... Queue grin.

"Yeah, it's me."

Valo couldn't help but grin, seeing his old rival standing before him. (Not really a rival, as Valo lost every fight.) He, Saito, seemed different, much different. His appearance retained some of what it was before, the silver hair and all, but that was about it. Both had changed much, both were most likely much stronger, especially Valo in his current state. He also liked the fact he was able to use Qi to manipulate air now as well, something he for some reason couldn't do at 552.

"Same, a pleasure. It's been too long. What have you been up to?"

Valo kept that friendly grin on his face, his eyes showing kindness for once ever since he had been here.

“Well… I’ve been… Kinda making a complete fool out of myself. I blame random impulse.”

-- Although he had amassed a big fight record in New York City, the silver haired senior had yet to get into a brawl here. People were probably avoiding him due to his new loony nature, but that wasn’t really too important. It was nice not to have his flesh torn on a weekly or monthly, and sometimes daily, basis.

Brrr… Freshman memories. Wait… Some of that was Sophomore year too. Mrah.

-- Still, giving his heightened nerves a test drive wouldn’t be so bad either.

“How ‘bout you? Been busy?”

"...Yeah, I guess you could say that."

Valo shrugged, his reasons for coming here weren't just cause Leon asked him too. He had personal reasons too, he had to get away from New York City. He had nothing there anymore, becoming a completely solitary loner, and as much as he wanted someone by his side, everyone disappeared from his life, even Jayne.

He hadn't been any fights since he showed up to Long Beach, but at 552 he had amassed a huge record, becoming stronger and stronger by the second. Right now, all he wanted to do was settle down. His "daughter", Chasity, was most likely waiting for him at home again, she was growing accustomed to living in New York, but the three Morei's ended up moving to Long Beach eventually.

"I got a little girl to take care of now, I guess I just wanted to settle down and live a normal life, wasn't that easy."

“That sounds ni-…”

“OMIGADS, YOU’RE A DAD?!”

-- Okay, maybe he over reacted a tad. Heck, Saito had been a dad once. Not any more really, but still. This was a quite a bit of interesting news. So many things DO happen in such little time!

-- For the time being though, he was a little shell shocked. Again, he probably over reacted, but that came with the loony personality.

"Well, yeah. Is it THAT much of a surprise to everyone?!"

Seriously, it shouldn't have been too weird. I mean, Saito was a dad too! As far as Valo could remember that is. He chuckled at the thought of being a father at his age, but oh well, he was living it now.

"Everyone finds it weird... I mean, I just adopted her is all."

“Um… Sorta maybe kinda yes? No?... Yes?”

-- And the senior them proceeded to slap his senses back into him. Literally.

*Ka-Thwaps!*

-- It wasn’t really that hard, but it did make that “whap” sound, as slaps across the face usually do. It was a weird thing to see a person do that to himself, but again… No, I won’t go into the Saito’s new loony psyche.

“Oh. You adopted her. I was kinda thinking… Well… You know… The stuff and… Other… Stuff.” *Cough*

I shouldn’t have been so surprised. I was in the same situation back in New York. Sort of. Not the EXACT same situation, but… Well… Ah, screw it. That ain’t important right now.

"Oh. Haha. Right."

Valo shrugged, everyone seemed to think about the more perverted way to have a kid these days. Valo was pretty much abstinent, vowing to celibacy. He didn't want to get into a relationship anymore, it was too hurtful, chasing down the same girl every day when she doesn't seem to want you anymore, then she disappears, it just causes more pain in the end and eats at you. He didn't want that to happen again, so he figured he'd just stay single, living alone the rest of his life.

"Well, on another note. You seem more... maniacal. Did something happen? Nothing affected your fighting abilities, didn't they?"

[saito]

“Heh heh.” ^_^;;

-- Yeah, well… That was the way it was normally done. I mean, that kid had to come from SOMEWHERE, right? She didn’t just poof out of thin air, right? Wait. OMG, maybe the stork really exists!! Babies CAN come for storks!

I will be going stork hunting soon. Are there storks in Cali? Maybe. Not? Maybe.

“Well, I guess you could put it that way.”

-- Saito smiled a little bit, and adjusted his glasses again. That had become a habit ever since he started wearing them. He had had ‘em in New York, but never bothered to use them.

“Nothing happened, really. I just ended up like this somehow.”

-- Saito’s fingers fiddled around with the Bone Dragon Canister in his pocket, running along that memento of that really cool fight in New York. Was there stuff like that here too?

“Were my fighting abilities affected?... I dunno… I haven’t been in a single fight or spar with anyone so far.”

-- And queue another grin.

“Nothing affected yours though, did they?”

"I see."

Valo too remembered the Bone Dragon battle, it had been a long time ago. He was almost damaged permanently, but got off lucky. He kept a memento of that fight, the Bone Dragon's boots, but Valo had them remodeled into the Sky Dragon Greaves, as Valo soon took that name up for his own. Why not? He was as powerful, if not more, than any Dragon seen thus far.

As for fighting. He hadn't tried a single fight using them yet, he had only sparred with Leon and that was without any of his "magical fairy items!" >_>

Valo hadn't even pushed himself to see how fast he could really move now, or how strong he could really strike. Maybe it was best if he didn't know how much of a monster he really was right now.

"Haha. I don't think so. I haven't really fought anyone since I've been here. I might be out of practice."

“Ha ha. Well, that makes two of us I guess.”

-- Again, Saito adjusted his glasses, although they didn’t really need adjusting. That’s what habits to you. Well, it wasn’t a harmful quirk at least. The canister twirled around between his fingers in his pocket. All ten pills were still in there. So far, there hadn’t been any real reason to use their destructive powers. That, and the silver haired kid managed to duplicate their abilities. Somewhat. Not entirely.

“So does practice sound appealing at all?”

-- A friendly smile crossed the 19 year old’s face. Would a friendly spar hurt? Maybe yes. Maybe not. Valo could accept of decline as he wished. After all, it was only a hinted suggestion.

"Practice...?"

Valo thought it over for a bit, a spar with his old buddy sounded promising. A grin appeared on his face as he pulled his collar out from his pant pocket. Tightening it around his neck, the little devil doubled Valo's strength at a very little cost, and his muscles bulged out as he attached it. With the greaves added onto that strength, he wasn't one to fool around with. Saito wasn't overpowering this senior, not anymore.

"Sure, sounds good."
