It was your normal school day. A monday, at around one pm. Some of the students were at lunch, others were in their classes. He had taken the liberty to let himself into the school again, and walk to Mr. King's room so that he could pick up the documents and place them in the safe house without hesitation. The longer they remained at school undeciphered, the easier it would be for them to fall in the wrong hands. Luckily they kept a coded copy, but secrets were secrets.
He whistled.
That's right, he whistled an old tune as he walked down the hall. If he had an MP3 player, he'd have the song on it, and he'd be listening to it. Posing as your everyday freak of a student. But no, he didn't have an mp3 player, so he whistled and hummed it. Because there weren't any real words to sing to the song, it was ancient, and back then, words were meaningless. And actions were what defined you.
He was often a constant. Hardly ever showing mercy to anyone. Only the select few received such a gift. And only if he believed they deserved it. Some people were too proud, or unpliable. They'd never receive mercy. Nor did they deserve it. Maybe he could demonstrate soon, if there was mercy to be had. Or if it was to be thrown to a strong eastern wind. To remain in the air, until the east touches the west.

Emily walked along the hallway. Still depressed from the dance earlier that week. There wasn't really anything to look forward to besides the classes right now - all she wanted right now was to get all her classes done and over with so she can go home and be all emo with her manga.
Her class was on the other side of the building.
Then again, she contemplated on just... going to the cafeteria and take her lunch instead of just skipping it to do some reviews.
But there were too many people there. Too many people laughing and having a great time filling their stomachs with cooked up corpses of plants and animals.
Somehow, she wanted to just give herself an overdose of her medicine, maybe she'd fall asleep for a week and no one would even notice or care.
But if that's the case, why bother?
Oh, the profanity of it all.

"Would you look at that."
He said, stopping where he was, watching the girl walk in the opposite direction of him. In other words, walking towards him. He wasn't eying her because of looks or anything, Valekin wasn't a pig. He was eying her because she was in the same hallway he was, and he had thought that most of the students would be in class or at lunch. This was a pleasant surprise.
"What are you doing out of class? Shouldn't you be someplace?"
He asked, keeping both eyes on her. Though only one of them were visible through the hair. He did have long bangs on the right side, that couldn't be helped without a scissor. God forbid someone tried to cut his hair, or make fun of it. That was one of the few things that would throw him over the edge, and force him to seriously maim them. She looked young, like freshmen young. He didn't perceive of her as a threat.

Emily thought it'd be best if she went to her class right now. Somehow she got the feeling... somewhat like a premonition... like danger was on the way. More or less Emily knew her instincts worked better than her mind did.
If sanity was basis, she was nearing insanity... the other her rather.
If she could ever meet one more insane than Kari, hoo boy... We'd more or less find her idolizing the poor person.
"Would you look at that." Emily stopped to look at the source of the voice. Being in a hallway not so populated at the moment, she found that it could be her being brought to attention. Guess she was right. This man WAS looking at her. She made eye contact.
Emily had been brought up in a Japanese family that didn't let their young look at their elders straight in the eye unless told so. The freshman bowed lightly in greeting; hopefully... the man understood her mean of respect.
"What are you doing out of class? Shouldn't you be someplace?"
With that statement, could he be a teacher?
She plainly answered, "I'm heading to my next class, sir." She didn't move.
To move away without proper dismissal was rude.
Then... Oh, for the love of Kami. Her stomach was growling! Shit. What a bad time to get hungry.

Delilah strode her way down the hall to class, and stopped suddenly in her path. Emily, her boyfriends sister. Her eyes narrowed a little at the other figure. The feeling of familiarity was back again. She pulled back and sighed a little, watching carefully from the corners of her eyes some few feet away.

"Sir? Such respect. And bowing? You're a heretic aren't you?"
Heretic, the word he uses generally for people that don't belong of Christianity. Though he did not know of her religious affiliation, he generally assumed that people of Asian decent were either Buddhists or Hindus, and hardly ever Christian. Though Valekin wasn't the worst kind of Christian, he wasn't the best kind either. At least he was not a hypocrite, but at worst he was a killer, and a cannibal. Not much you could do there.
"Yes yes, you're a heretic, and there's naught much else that can be done about that, now could there be?"
Hye ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha
He walked to the other side of the hallway now. Whether or not she thought he was a teacher, was not of much consequence. If he knew that's what she thought he was, he'd use that to his advantage. But wait, there was someone else there, he could feel them. Ah, the eye moved, and he saw her. She worked at the Kuche, and she helped him paint the town red. The school rather. This was interesting.
"You, come on out. I noticed you long ago."

"Sir? Such respect. And bowing? You're a heretic aren't you?"
Emily blinked a couple of times, Heretic? That's a rather weird term to describe someone. Did he mean in religious terms? This girl was a particularly devout catholic, who was also... at the same time open to observe customs of a lot of religions.
Maybe he mistook her for a Buddist? Her acting all Japanese and all.
And yet she nodded, "Somewhat, I guess so..."
Then the man went to go disturb someone else. Looks like she was just too boring...
For some reason, this woman seemed familiar...
She could've run into her a few times, maybe on the stairs of the Kaleidoscope apartments, but never really introduced herself.
Emily just stood there, watching. After all, she was never really dismissed from them... wasn't she?
If he called her a heretic, might as well try to live up to it.

Delilah turned her head to look, smirking lightly. She'd thought as much. She knew he was no teacher...not the right kind of vibe (but then, that creepy Winklewood didn't entirely have one either....ew.)
She turned her whole body to face him, dropping her bag. "And I've noticed I haven't exactly seen you around here before...who might you be, oif I may ask?" Eh, a shot at politeness couldn't hurt.

"Ah.. a tad timid. There are ways to break that bad habit Heretic."
The other one spoke at him, not like the heretic did. Not like Emily did. Emily was more timid, Delilah was a tad more outspoken. Valekin would have to find some way to deal with that. He wasn't into outspoken at the moment. Maybe in a few moments, but not right now. It was a mood thing.
"WHO I am is of no importance. WHAT I am is something totally different. But I know just who you are Delilah. If you can ever figure out how I know your name, before we meet again, then you'll get a prize."
Oh he wasn't playing. He was entirely serious. It was a challenge, she had to do this. If she didn't figure it out, then he'd just have to do something terrible. Like put hot sauce in her milk, or something like that.

Delilah blinked, mildly taken aback by his words. "How..." He knew her name? How could he know her name. She banished the forming possibilities. Now was NOT the time. She glowered at the man, shifting her stance a little. "Fine...and what brings you here? The vandalization perhaps?"
Despite her thought dismissing, possibilities still flashed. She felt like the princess from Rumplestiltskin...so much for spinning straw into gold, eh princess?

"Ah.. a tad timid. There are ways to break that bad habit Heretic."
"I'm not a heretic." Emily said in defence of herself. There wasn't really anything much to say... except, something... that sort of sparked her interest. "... but, what ways would you suggest?"
Emily was WILLING to do anything just to... well... stop being herself.
It was like a shell she was just waiting to shed off... well... primarily because she never really knew much of how to socialize... or... how to communicate. It sucked.
This felt like Tokyo.
Besides the heretic part.

"HA HA HA! Vandalism? I'm not here because of vandalism. You'll never know why I'm here, will you?"
That sounded like a challenge, which it was. Why was he there exactly? Why? Because no one has ever tried to stop him from being there. No one has ever gone out of their way to keep him from this place. Not the cops, not the enforcers, not the teachers. They haven't done anything to keep him out. And why was that? It said a lot about the school didn't it? He wondered sometimes how things would go down if different staff members actually ran into him, rather than their students.
"Well... Heretic... you're the type that chains themselves. You're probably all bottled up aren't you? Afraid of what others will think of the real you. Of how other people will react to you, aren't you? That's why people are shy, that's why they don't interact with others. People know how to interact with other people inherently... you're just too damn afraid of yourself and what others will think of you."
He got in her face. The ellipsed eyes, the fanged grin, the breath that smelled like blood, the purple flames of the tattoo that traveled from his body to his cheek. The eye that glowed from behind the longer right locks of his bangs. It glowed that evil purple for a mere moment, then it stopped. She could see his eyes, and the pupils were pretty constricted, showing mere slits of black on electric blue. His visage alone screamed the word...
MONSTER
INSANE FANATIC
DEMON
Raw... Power...

Emily froze.
He ... was right. Every darned word of it.
She was afraid of Kari... no... herself... that part of herself that went insane every moment she became depressed.
Emily just stood there, the soft wind of the corridors from the nearby windows caressing her face. It displayed her shock... the self-realization... the acceptance of what she is.
"... I-I...."
She didn't know what to say...

Delilah blinked at the harsh words spoken to Emily, and she took another step closer. She knew only vaguely from what Rem had told her about his younger sister, and was on high alert. But…she has seen his eyes gleam purple, only for a second, but it was enough to kick start Delilah’s memory.
When did I look into eyes like that?
Maybe it was a trick of light…
You know it wasn’t.
Think goddamnit!
When she had been on the second floor, with that monster…
I tried not to look into his eyes.
Why?
I was scared of what I’d see in them.
But you did look, before you left.
Yeah…
You saw his eyes…what color?!
It was dark…but…they were either very red or a purpley blue.
And this man’s eyes?
Delilah snapped her head towards the intruder and stared at him wide eyed. “Its YOU…” Anger boiled beneath her skin. This was the man who vandalized the school and nearly killed her, the man who nearly ripped Rem apart when the young Japanese boy went to stake him out of her behalf. Her body began to shake and her eyes narrowed as she hissed, “You…”. She looked at Emily. "Don't go near him...this man is not to be contended with."

"You're clever. I thought it'd take you forever to come up with that."
He smiled. He was quite sure that she remembered him grabbing her throat like he did. Even if she knew who he was, he was still the one in power, the things he could do to her were limitless. Breaking a human body is easy, breaking a human mind is a bit tougher, but to break the human spirit, ah. Now that's the cherry on top. If she crossed him, he'd break everything and then her spirit. Valekin'd destroy her world. He'd destroy it with fire and blade.
"And you know I'm right Heretic."
He dared either of them to make a move just so he could get a point across. He wasn't with whom to fuck. You don't pick on those in positions of power unless you have equal power, and Valekin didn't have many, if any, equals. That was the thing. People that knew of him knew he was not with whom to fuck.
