OOC(( For Kiyoshi and Company/Olesya))David paused, wiping the back of his hand across his forehead. He had just got back from his morning jog, around five in the morning. For some reason, getting in a little exercise before a long day really kicked up his energy. He knew that, with his condition, that probably wouldn't last long. He tore off his shirt, the cool morning breeze feeling great on the exposed skin. Stuffing it into the bag, he grabbed a bottle of water and drank heartily. Cupping a little in his palm, he splashed it over his face and let it come down on his form before tucking away the water and pulling on a plain white t-shirt. It was probably going to be one hell of a day. He grabbed the pack, putting his arms through the straps and hefting it comfortably onto his shoulders before heading down the stairs. He had slept in an empty building fairly close to Olesya, less than half a block away. He had stopped by her place last night and had told her everything that went down with Kiyoshi. It was a simple meeting, David explaining nothing more than needed. He asked her not to mention why he was going, and let her know they would be leaving early so as to get back as soon as possible. His fist rapped against the door to her building, unsure whether he should just walk in or not. QUEST START

Without televisions and computers to keep her up late, Olesya went to bed at a reasonable hour after David left. Without the luxuries of modern technology, she found herself waking up with the sun. At the asylum, they had kept a pretty early schedule, so her circadian rhythm was already set to get up early. She had gone about on her morning routines, packed her travel pack with dried foods, water, and an extra folded bag for carrying whatever it was David was retreiving. Something about files, but it really wasn't her business. The important thing was that David wanted them, and she would do what she could to aid him.
She tied a black bandana over her head to both shield from the sun, and to hide her stark white hair. They were travelling outside of Crows territory, and Delilah had told her that her hair was a target for one reason or another. She slung her pack over her shoulder, climbe dout the window and slid down the fire escape to land lightly on the ground.
Stepping around the side of the building, David was standing at the front door, his knuckles just retreating from knocking. She smirked devilishly, an old spark of her former self alighting as she snuck up behind him silent as a mouse. She drew herself up behind him, peering over his shoulder and asking a little loudly to cause a fright.
"Looking for something?!"
Maybe it was David's return, maybe it was a wild California sun, but bit by bit little pieces of Olesya's old playful personality were returning in spite of her not finishing her treatments. There were still dark moments, but as of right now she was feeling on top of the world. How could you not when an adventure lay at your feet?

David started, looking over his shoulder to see Olesya's face quite wonderfully close to his. He put his hands on his hips, hanging his head and shaking it a little with a grin before turning around.
"Har har, very funny."
He pushed her a little, reciprocating a little of the playfulness as he started walking off toward where Kiyoshi and the others were. He couldn't help but be grateful for the changes the girl had made since they last spoke- talking to the she-devil she had been before wasn't something David thought of as a particular good time. The other, Ophelia, was just plain bonkers. Intelligent, of course, but with the whole crazy thing that probably wasn't a positive. He would walk casually, knowing that he wasn't due at Kiyoshi's until around six, and he guessed at that moment it was probably five-fifteen or so. He would make casual conversation with his companion along the way.
"Thanks for coming along. It'll be good to have someone besides the stiff-necks to talk to."
Once they got to the meeting location- a garage that probably held the vehicle they would be travelling in, he would lean against the wall and wait for Kiyoshi to show up.

At the break of dawn, Kiyoshi was sitting quietly in a meditative state within the confines of his room. He cleared his mind of all thought and concern to welcome the emptiness into his being, allowing everything to be seen with a clear light. This entire situation troubled him a great deal and was not something he was excited to be a part of. He felt as those his hands were tied by the need for the supplies and thus there was little choice, however the risk was minimized by taking much of the responsibility upon himself and leaving his men out of it.
Save for the new girl, she needed the experience.
In time, Kiyoshi dressed himself in his usual battle attire, a black sleeveless trenchcoat with a white bellflower on the back, a pair of jeans, heavy duty gloves, work boots and his sunglasses, and headed for the storehouse were the cars had been stowed. It would be the quickest way to get this sojourn into enemy territory over with while limiting risks, though the Crows leader was not without his sword. It wasn't a long walk until he was approaching the other two, knowing that the new girl should be just on her way.
Kiyoshi nodded to the two while opening the door into the converted warehouse.

Tired eyes forced themselves open a crack as the prying rays of a just-rising sun wedged their way through the dull curtains in her room and directly into her face. She hissed in protest before rolling over onto her bare belly and pushing herself up into a sitting position pointing her face away from the taunting light. Mariska was fully aware of the mission she was being sent on today, and the presence of sunlight only reaffirmed that it was happening soon, and that she'd have to be meeting Kiyoshi and whomever else shortly. Working up the courage to leave the comfort of her sheets, she slid out of bed and towards the clothing she had left on the floor in both laziness and anticipation of the day ahead. Grey cargo pants (which her beloved Indigo frequently found himself housed in the pockets of) and a teal tank top found their way onto her body before she flopped to the ground to pull on the clunky combat boots she had donned in favor of risking shards of glass and debris being lodged in her bare feet.
Her long, deep red hair brushed the bottoms of her shoulder blades in waves and curls, and for her vision's sake, she had tied her unkempt bangs back leaving the striking yellow eyes unimpeded by the mane. She peered over to the space next to her pillow, which the white and brown spotted rat still occupied, sleeping quietly. She allowed a small smile, knowing that no one would see this display of affection, before blowing a kiss to the dozing rodent and grabbing her metal baseball bat. Quietly exiting the room, she walked with a satisfying thud thud thud echoing down the hallway with her footsteps, bat resting against her shoulder, and towards the warehouse that was the designated meeting point.
After a few minutes of walking in quiet, disinterested eyes surveying anyone and anything she passed, she arrived to the warehouse, opening the door before stepping in and looking around to see who was present.

OOC: New posting order - Ally, David, Kiyoshi, Mariska, Leon. -----
"I thought so."
The young woman grinned to herself, feeling quite pleased. There was a time when David was high above her as her superior, even when they were pillars at #259. Now it felt like they were on more even ground, bound by their history and weathered by the last few years of strife they each endeavored. Regardless, Olesya couldn't even begin to explain how good it felt to have a friend by her side once more. She was still a bit guarded because of her historical track record, but it was something that she was slowly working on.
Olesya fell into step with David, letting her muscles warm up in the sunshine. It was going to be a long day, so pacing was definitely something to keep in mind. Take it slow and easy, accomplish what was needed and get out of there. Barker's territory was no joke, they were going to have to be sharp if they were going to get by without any trouble.
"Of course. Not that I had anything better to do today anyway."
It was important to David to collect his items, and therefore it was important to her. She knew that he would do the same for her, so it was only fair that she offer her help. Not having anything better to do was also a true statement...if she wasn't going on this escapade, it would have just been another day of scavenging and bartering in the territory. Usually pretty fun, but having an actual mission was much better, it made her feel like she had a purpose.

OOC ((beware, I'm posting from my phone))
David shrugged at Olesya.
"And at least this way you get time...er...out and about."
He almost said more time with him, but realized how that sounded and decided against it. No good taking her mind off the task of the day, and he was sure he sounded natural anyway, albeit a little redundant. Obviously she would be out and about anyway- what else was there to do? Noting kiyoshi with a simple upward sign with his chin, yknow, in the "Sup" fashion. Bending down and grabbing his pack he nodded atthe other individual who showed up, another female. He tossed his bag in the back and looked toward Kiyoshi.
"Shall I drive, since I know the way?"
He could always explain to the man where to go, he just figured it would be a little easier if he was the one behind the wheel. If kiyoshi preferred to drive, David would hop in the passengers seat. In truth, it mattered little to him- what excited him the most was the possibility that he would soon have in his hands what he wanted- the possibility to finding what was left of his family.

Kiyoshi ignored David's little greeting entirely, not for lack of seeing it but because he didn't wish to respond. In many ways he felt trapped into this agreement and unable to decline due to the nature of the prize in these trouble times. He did, however, nod his head to Mariska as she arrived. A showing that even this newer Crow who, to Kiyoshi's knowledge, was relatively unexperienced in combat, was more trusted by the leader than the other two.
"That's fine."
The leader respond before tossing David the keys to the car they would be taking, a generic beat up heap that the Crows had restored to working order. Also adding a few extra reinforcements just in case.
"Your guest can take the passenger's seat, we will take the back."
With that he'd head to get in. This way he could keep an eye on the two unknown entities as they drove. Trust wasn't something given so easily in these times without loyalty. This man seemed to be out for his own ends in this time, something the Crows had been about in the past but now... everything was reversed.

Mariska eyed the two faces she did not recognize warily, not terribly sure what to make of them, before nodding to her leader. The man looked uneasy and this unsettled the girl. Closing the door behind her she lowered her bat far enough for the end to hover just above the paved flooring, her arm fully extended downward. The bat had become her favored weapon, having had no access to anything else during her time separate from the universe, and even with the Crows' selection of weapons she would cling to the athletic instrument until something that really caught her attention came along.
At hearing Kiyoshi's instruction on the seating arrangements, Mariska would open the car door for him, waiting until he had chosen a seat before taking hers. She stared holes into the back of David, making failed attempts to see into his thoughts. Her stare turned next to the back of Olesya's head. What was it about them that Kiyoshi didn't like?
The bat now resting across her lap, she would rest her head against the framing for the window, shifting her gaze from the two seated in front of her, to the outside surroundings, and back.

Olesya gave the man and woman a once over, she didn't recognize them, though she was sure she'd seen them in passing once. Maybe. EIther that or her mind was making things up, which was also known to happen. The man seemed aloof, disconnected, untrusting of David and herself, though she saw his gaze soften slightly when looking at the other girl. He must know her, probably trust her, leaving Olesya feeling like this was becoming an 'us and them' scenario, though they were going to have to be working together.
Well, this was going to be fun.
The young woman climbed into the passenger seat, slinging her bag onto the floor of the car and tucking her feet (clad in her ever faithful black ballet shoes) under her in such a way so that she was sitting on her right foot, and her left leg was bent completely so her knee was chest-height and the heel of her foot was touching her bottom where it met the seat. She buckled her seatbelt for safety (and familiarity), turning slightly so she could see the two in the back seat.
"So...I'm Olesya."
She introduced herself, trying to break up the 'us and them' feeling she was getting. She wasn't the best at socialization, but she did what she felt she could. And again, Olesya was feeling rather good today, the dark clouds of her mind were parted, letting a little sunshine in to her cerebral cortex.

Should they converse, David would remain silent, stopping only to introduce himself to the new girl. It wasn't because he wanted to skip out on making friends, he was just trying to concentrate on where he was going. The city looked very different, and he knew it probably wasnt gonna be easy. Still, he didn't want to ruin the good mood Olesya had running, so once he was on the main road he spoke up.
"So, Kiyoshi, you been running the crows for long?"
He asked only because some groups change leaders often, and there was no indication as to whether this group was around when 259 was, or if it formed in the aftermath to combat Barker. He took a right, trying to make his way around any rubble or vehicles destroyed in the bombing.

As much as Kiyoshi may not trust the other two, his focus was on the surrounding city ruins as they drove around. Beyond betrayal, Barker was the biggest threat especially as the Crows grew more powerful and stable. So far it seemed the man was obsessed with tracking down his lost property in the Experiments, which was fine for the moment as it diverted his attention. If the full brunt of that man's army was brought to bear against the Crows, they would be crush in no time. For now diversions were good.
"About a year and half... I started it with two others just about the time the SLF fucked up the school system."
He didn't really know if they had any idea what he was talking about and didn't really care.
"Then the world ended..."
The leader added while continuing to sweep the passing streets for any damage or oncoming attackers.

It wasn't the rarist thing in the world to see a vehicle working and moving about, in fact if they looked straight ahead there was even an active checkpoint. Barker forces checking civilians as they funnelled through. The blatant standard navy blue uniforms and blunt weaponry, with a single stand out in charge having yellow stripes on his uniforms sleeves.

At the sound of the other woman's voice, she would flick her eyes from the window over to what she could see of her face. The girl didn't seem a whole lot older than herself, and she wondered how much of the new world she had been made to endure before finding herself in Crows territory. She looked the girl over again, still wary to divulge information. This was not her life before she was found in the rubble. She was safe with Kiyoshi, even with the two unknowns sitting in the front seat. Reluctantly, she introduced herself.
"Mariska."
She turned to Kiyoshi now, listening to his reply. She knew very little about the man or the organization for that matter. The girl tried not to ask questions, fearing she'd waste time for information that in the end didn't make much of a difference, so someone else doing the asking was a relief. The outside world reasserted the leader's story. The streets seemed almost entirely abandoned, and Mariska grew sad looking at it as a ghost of its former self. She had never been terribly fond of people, but the absence of them made it more difficult to pass up an opportunity to enjoy another's company.

Olesya gave the shy looking girl a small crooked smile. She seemed nice enough, offering her name when Olesya offered her own as a way of greeting. Mariska, that was unique. The other man didn't offer his name, though from the way he held himself, he had to be some sort of higher up in the Crows, if not the elusive Kiyoshi Akechi himself. Her suspicions were confirmed when David asked, by name, if he'd been running the Crows for long.
She didn't understand what SLF was, nor had she been around a year and a half ago when whatever it was went down. Even if she'd finished high school, she would have long since been graduated by then. Oddly though, it felt like it was only yesterday that she was running the school with David and Emily, but time was funny like that.
Olesya frowned when Kiyoshi mentioned the world ending. It was a rough time for everyone, obviously. Dr. Twist always said to take the bad with the good, and look for the best in every situation. At first she had thought he was full of crap, though slowly warmed up to the idea. Afterall, she'd reunited with David, a friend she hadn't seen or heard from in over seven years. Things were kind of bad, but it didn't mean they couldn't improve them at least in some way.
Letting the boys talk, Olesya focused back on Mariska.
"You from around here? What's your story?"
She asked, of course not looking for too much detail. A car ride into Barker territory wasn't the best place to spill your guts (figuratively or literally). It would be beneficial to know if Mariska was originally from around her, or travelled here for some reason once everything had gone to hell.
