He gave a grunt of approval- he had heard of SLF. They were around the last time he was. Surpised at their disbanding, he was not. He was, however, surprised Gabriel wasn't around still trying to make a name of it. Regardless, his eyes caught on the stop ahead, Barkers men gathered around in a sort of gate, like they were crossing the border into a new country, and he spoke over his shoulder, trying to keep his eyes forward.
"So, What, we just make a stop here, or breeze right through it?"
David wasn't sure if Kiyoshi's face was well known or not, but he didn't want to risk alerting this half of the city to their presence if he didn't need to. If, however, Kiyoshi figured they would be recognized, he would slam the gas and run the dickheads over, aiming for whichever one held a radio.

Kiyoshi wasn't a fan of the SLF but said nothing more on the matter as it was part of an irrelevant past. Besides, the far more pressing matter was the check point ahead. He glanced at the girl in the passenger's seat, specifically her hair. Beyond whether or not they'd be after the Crows leader was the hunt for escaped Experiments, which were often designated by abnormal features such as white hair. It wouldn't matter what they said if the men believed her to be one.
"There's no other way?"
Simple question that would get, hopefully, a simple answer. If yes then David should know to just go that way already, if not.
"We'll have to plow through then and get to your stash and back out as quick as possible.
Kiyoshi's hand would rest on the hilt of his sword. He knew this wouldn't be easy but hitting difficulty this early was beyond bad luck.

"I got to the area about a week or two before the big show. Spent the next few months in a hide out in Barker territory before I got brought into Crows' Territory" she shrugged. The complex details of the last however long were too much to get into right now, and it was useless information for the girl who was surely just creating small talk for Mariska for the sake of passing the time. She felt the rift between the seating sections of the car, and appreciated in some regard that Olesya was attempting to mend it.
"I'm lucky they found me..." she mumbled, recalling her life before and wondering if she would even be around right now were it not for them. The food supply would have likely run out, and the structure had not been stable enough to withstand much ground movement. "What about you?"
Up ahead, she noticed the authority figures and the girl's brow furrowed. How were they meant to get through without causing a scene? She clenched her hands around her bat rhythmically, wondering what their move would be in regards to the ever approaching soldiers. This was her first official time out as a member of the faction, and a feeling of being unprepared now hit her. Had she even considered if there would be trouble with Barker soldiers? Would the baseball bat be enough? She took a breath. Everything works out in the end, she assured herself.

He shook his head "no" in response to Kiyoshi's question, letting out a little sigh at what was to come. Slamming on the gas, he bounced up onto the sidewalk, heading straight for the small station area where the man with the Radio was most likely to be.
He'd smash clean through it, running the guy over if need be, as well as attempting to destory any equipment, pieces of wood and metal likely flying over them and scattering around. If there happened to be additional men surrounding the thing or standing beyond, he wouldn't slow down for them, only working to avoid any civilians that he could and move out before the soldiers were able to get organized

David's attempts at running down someone with a radio are well intended. Running down a total of three barker soldiers in the process of blasting through the checkpoint. Though they would need to act fast if they where going to accomplish the mission.
Word spread still, not insanely fast, but the people that needed to know where aware. The longer Dacid is driving the more look outs one can make out on roof tops peeking out windows, walking the sidewalks. If one was careful enough they would notice all of them would just watch the vehicle drive.

Kiyoshi noted the gathering lookouts as they continued toward the destination, his hand gripping the hilt of his sword. He knew from the start this would have to be a quick job but now even more so, if that was possible.
"Better step on it."
Things could get very messy very soon.
((OoC: Moving along.))

(ooc: Sorry for the delay >.<)
"I'd say about the same-oh!"
Olesya's conversation with the girl was cut off short as she caught wind of what Kiyoshi and David were talking about. She turned back around in her seat, tucking any stray flyaway hairs under her black bandana. She knew better than to strut around with ther glaringly white hair in unsafe territory.
She braced herself as they hit the checkpoint, scattering debris everywhere and running down a couple of Barker's soldiers. A couple hand been young looking, no older than boys. The thought crossed her mind, though she shook it away. It wouldn't help them to think like that, she had to be icy and focused if they were going to get out of this with minimal damage.
Mismatched eyes caught sight of gathering soldiers on rooftops and sidewalks. Kiyoshi spoke up from the back, stating was was on all their minds.
"So much for breezing."
She noted, referencing David's comment from earlier. In fact, it looked like it was going to get very dirty very quickly. They were going to have to move quickly and think more quickly. A smirk appeared on the young woman's lips as her heartrate rose a notch. Adventure, just what she was looking for.

David swirved a bit after the initial hit, not worried about anyone being inside the building that he knew. It was likely if anyone worked for Barker that he was acqainted with, they wouldn't be on the front lines. He jerked the wheel, fishtailing left around a broken vehicle before hooking right down a side street. Knowing they were probably scrambling to alert someone in another area, he followed Kiyoshi's advice to the letter and rammed down on the wheel. Heading about two to three blocks down, he turned and took them down an alleyway that kept them out of sight- he didn't want to risk it. It was a short one, and once through, he would slow to an average speed, glancing in his rear-view and side-view mirrors.
If they could stay on that road for about two miles, they would probably get to his building without a hitch. After all, most of the driving he had done was practicaly painless. Now that they were getting close to their goal, though, shit had to just hit they fan...they could probably make it. Still, he ticked off places in his head that he could pull over, and would talk while he had a moments respice.
"So, i'm thinking at some point we should hide this car, since they'll be looking for it. We could probably make it there on foot within twenty to forty minutes."
Depending on speed, obviously. He had initially stated that it would probably take a day to get there, get supplies, and get back...he had also calculated resistance times and travelling with packs so...he hoped they could make it in about half that, if not less.

"No."
Kiyoshi said in simple response to David's idea while the sentries seemed to come out of the woodwork. Barker had a far larger force than anything they could muster and the longer they were out here the more susceptible they would be to attack. Speed was of the utmost essence.
"Take us directly to our destination. The enclosed building space will negate their advantage in numbers should a battle be unavoidable. After we retrieve our goal, then we can discuss whether or not to ditch in the car as a decoy. Undoubtedly your friend will draw the brunt of their attention..."
The Crows' leader said simply, while getting a sense of the urban terrain they might have to traverse back. This girl's appearance would make her a primary target for Barker's men, thus drawing full force of the immediate area. He ran through his head whether or not they could withstand that assault at their base... unlikely if the walls had yet to be built.

The lookouts make no motions except to watch the vehicle as he moves, looking more like gargoyles than people. Even patrols keep moving, yet the eerie head turn could be noticed as they pass by.

David glanced around nervously, before letting out a little breath.
Jerking on the wheel, he took a ninety degree turn down an alley, heading directly for a few soldiers who would be there. If they jumped out of the way, he'd glance over the fire escape and dumpster in the corner before slamming on the gas, plowing out the other side and into the street opposite. He shook his head silently.
"This is too easy! Why are they all watching us, like we're expected?"
He would continue onward, giving Kiyoshi the opportunity to tell them what to do.

Mariska let out a quiet hum at the other girl's easy distraction. The girl's head rested on the car's window and felt every bump, jolt, and vibration that shook through it. The others in the car chattered on, attempting to come up with a solution to the dilemma they had created for themselves. Whatever they were being sent out of their safe zone to get had better be worth it. Mariska had left. Her body remained in the car, head resting and shaking on the car window and eyes looking disconnected, but she had gone somewhere else.
The girl had gone to before the bombs fell and before she had come to California. It was never a happy time, but it was generally more bearable than what the world was now. She missed the safety and the convenience and the solitude.
Back from where she'd been, the girl's head turned to David.
"Maybe we are expected. They're aware of Crow's territory, no doubt. It was only a matter of time before we moved into their side of the fence." she said matter-of-factly, and as if it were entirely obvious. And perhaps it was, but Mariska felt it needed to be said.

Mariska seemed to have the most likely possibility pegged, thus Kiyoshi nodded in agreement. The leader continued to watch the streets.
"It's likely, or it could just be they've been watching us for weaknesses to strike."
That is all he says, staying pat with his previous plan to get there and finish as quickly as possible. He had plenty of tricks up his sleeve.

Olesya nodded in agreement, tucking stray strands of hair up into her bandana at Kiyoshi's comment about her drawing attention. Sure, walking around with white hair wasn't the most unnoticeable thing in the world, but Olesya had spent the last seven years of her life hiding in plain sight.
"I think you're both right. Looking for weaknesses most certainly. They obviouslt know we're outsiders, but I'm sure they don't know exactly who we are...we still have a small advantage."
