Terminology

• The Children - The more common reference to the independent Experiments who subscribe to this Organization and its identity.
  
  
• Child - Reference to what is otherwise crudely termed an "Independent Experiment".
  
  
• Lost Child - An Experiment that is either still thralled to Barker or some other organization/faction or an Experiment that is independent but unaffiliated with The Children.
  
  
• House - A faction within The Children.
  
  
• T.C. - An abbreviation for The Children. Typically used by outsiders who know of the organization.
  
  
• Messiah - A 259er of the Great Slumber who helped rouse The Children to both accept their situation as well as who they had grown into. They are the first amongst the shackled to truly fight against the confines of Barker's containment. Songs and

• Irregulars - Normals who actively chose to side and sometimes even live, fight, and on occasion die for The Children. They are more common now than ever, in this Post-Fate world. They are respected, but some are treated as second-class to Children.
