Rest and relaxation, these two things led to a fighters demise. Perhaps it helped them keep their sanity but that was a bit over rated. Nothing good ever came from being perfectly sane. All the best ideas came from the one who had the balls to get the job done...and live to tell the tale.
He had been away for far to long. A lul in those worth his efforts had left him with nothing to do but hone himself until something caught his eye. Sadly nothing had caught his eye he was just sort of hungry. His own cooking was rather terrible and before he stomached another drop of the slop he ended up with after being left alone in a kitchen was a torture he could no longer endure himself to.
Perhaps this is why he was in this joint full of degenerent scum. The best damn wings this side of a jaimaican house party. And the beer... it was a nectar of the gods if he had ever had any. Then again everything he had eaten recently wasnt really stored in a cool place. Have you ever had beer left out in the sun for a week straight just because you ran out of supplies by knocking them off a cliff? Probably not but warm beer seriously sucks.
So perhaps it wasnt the best but it was far superior to anything else he had lately and that was why he could put up with the foolishness here. Still how long would it be before he couldnt even enjoy this moment?

Probably not that long.
"You need to leave, Boy."
Jeremiah closed his eyes, shaking his head a little. Why couldn't he just be left alone? He sat in a stool far too small for his frame, an ice cold beer in one hand and a smoke in the other. It had been a damn crazy ride getting here. Some people compare their lives to roller coasters, with ups and downs, twists and turns. Jeremiah compared his to a derailed train that wouldn't slow down and didn't fall over. Yet, if asked, he would always say he preferred it that way. He turned half around in his seat, only slightly, staring at the men who stood before him. Soldiers, by the look of it. Barkers? Possibly. He didn't give a damn. He made a small waving gesture with his hand, not in "hello" but in more of a "shoo" sort of way. Then, turning back around, took a long drink of his brew, signalling for the bartender to get him another. A small sound, like a leather strap being brushed with a full blade came to his ears. Seemed like the soldier was drawing his knightstick.
Jeremy turned around, grabbing the metal pole as it came down and smashing the fellow in the face with his nearly empty bottle. He turned what was left of it on the other men, brandishing it rather angrily, only to notice that all that was left was a small piece of the bottle neck. The man who was hit, now on the ground, was groaning. As his friend jumped over him to attack, Jeremy grabbed a sandwich off the counter, taking a small bite (which was large compared to others) before smashing the rest in the fellows face. He then proceeded to kick the fellow in the chest, sending him flying back into his other men with a cry.
Jeremiah grabbing the beer the bartender held in shock, taking a drink as the men proceeded to get to his feet. He would be standing nearly in front of Vetis, ignoring the man completely, which was probably a mistake. The first man charged, aiming to tackle him. Jeremiah would simply step aside, so instead of ploughing into him, he'd plough into Vetis, causing issues for the man at his seat.

He spilled his drink. That sort of aggrivated him. It was the part where he was tackled that might have made him make up his mind hastily. Some people needed to die. He took a moment to compose himself and wipe the savory liquid gold off of his torso. The bottle itself lie all broken up on the floor. The bottom of it was a tough egg to crack like any bottle would be. It was still intact for the most part. Still Vetis wasnt the type to plan an attack when he was in a mood like this. He just sort of snapped. His rebirth had come with an extra shift into his already wrathful nature. Grabbing the cup of the patron sitting next to him from the counter he would smash it down break it and slit the throat of the poor bastard who by all accounts hit the wrong guy. The traces of alcohol adding just the right extra stinging sensation while his carotid spewed out its ever pumping contents. Then for that particular prick his story was over. Still the man was not alone there were others in his group, there was the patron they were after, there was a whole mess of other folks and there was Vetis. A majority didnt even gasp at what happened. Most of these folks had seen death up close before including the group whos eyes now trained on him. Still a few of the more uncivil patrons felt a bar room brawl was in order and all hell broke loose

Jeremiah watched the other man cut the soldiers throat, taking a long drink of his beer as the blood spewed from his neck. Reaching up for the smoke that he intended to remove from his mouth, he only realized at that point that it was broken in half, and he had no more in the pack.
"Son of a BITCH!"
He turned uppercutting a man as he stood from his chair, an individual he actually knew nothing about. Turning around, he chucked the bottle at Vetis, aiming for the head, not caring that this psycho just slit someones throat. Of course, whether it hit or not, they were both shit out of luck, for several men burst in through the door, one man in particular standing out from the rest. He wore a barker uniform, but had a blue bandanna on his upper left bicep. He was smoking a cigar, even though he seemed to be in his mid twenties. Short cropped hair, cold black eyes.
"Mmm...."
The patrons would fall back out of the way as he stepped forward, staring at Vetis.
"You. What's yer name, boy?"

The sound of broken glass echoed for a moment as an unexpected bottle landed in his face. The alcohol left in it only served to make the new lacerations on his face tingle all the more. It was not a pleasant feeling. Letting the cheap boozes and traces of blood leak down his face he calmly began to move toward his assailant. Sadly there was yet another unexpected interuption. An intriguing one at that. As soon as this little bar room brawl started it quickly stopped with the arrival of this next patron.
"You. What's yer name, boy?" His accent was forced southern, like someone who sang one to many country music songs alone in there car when they thought no one was around. He smirked at this challenge. Given the proper dramatics if Vetis had answered him a quip about making sure it was on his tombstone or something to that effect was no doubt going to creep from the mans disgusting lips. He was no real threat. His little insignia said as much.
As he moved closer to confront his new play mate he would make sure to pimpsmack the little whore who had tossed a bottle at him. Real pimps didn't choose between forehand and backhand they did a quick combination of both. Still a smack from Vetis could cause enough force to make one feel like they just got smacked with a brick. So many little children barking around and all he wanted was a drink. Perhaps it was time for him to get back into the swing of things. So as his last slap would have landed his hand would force a grip and swing the young one into the dirty country music hipster.

Blood would fly from his mouth in a small stream as the blonde slapped him harshly. Jeremiah heaved a mental sigh. See, now he was gonna have to break the fuckers arm. As the slap hit, however, he'd feel his body thrown forward and toward the other small male, the one who stood rather lazily. He would stick out an arm to palm the guys face and shove him off to the side, intent on turning to fuck up this blonde crazy-man without any prejudice.
Rather than his intended actions taking place, a hard backhand would hit his cheek again, this time tearing his jacket/shirt clean from the grasp of Vetis, sending him up off his feet and through the opposite wall. Consciousness would leave him on impact, the bricks to the head followed by repeated stompings from the men around him causing the lights to go out.

Boss fight. The country boy still took a long drag from his cig, as though it was nothing, having slapped one of these giants through a wall. At the same moment he slapped the bald man, his right leg would snap up to kick Vetis clean in the stomach, hopefully sending him out through the wall on the OTHER side of the bar, from where the man came from. If successful, he'd step out after him, tossing his hat off to the side and flicking his half-gone smoke at the blondes form. Jeremiah would not appear to be moving, though coming around the corner would be two camera men, and on the roofs around them, other camera men. The country boy would flash a wicked grin. " Thirty-five awduh to be enough." His muscles would seem to bulge suddenly, growing rapidly in two or three seconds. Then he would sigh and roll his neck. " Much better." (Im assuming you are rping as The barker liutenent and not as David Blaze since that is the only thing that makes sense to me at this moment in time. I will reply as such and if I am mistaken please notify me.)
He had taken his eye off the ball for a moment. No perhaps it wasnt that. It was just a lack of respect for literally everything breathing in the room. Still it provided him with a kick to the chest. All he heard over the sound of his own pimpsmacking was horrid grammar. And then wham a sudden loss of breathe and the slightest most instantaneous feeling of weightlessness as he was flung across the room.
The room was no swarmed with little camera folk as well. Just what he needed. Apparently he was part of some reality television post apocolypse style. If there was truly anything he detested reality tv was in his top 3. Still it seemed not all the patrons had a spine as yellow as a dandelion. Just like Vetis there good time had been ruined. However unlike Vetis they knew of this little group that was swarming in like cockroaches and they were none to pleased. Still some of the patrons calmly waited and did nothing. Perhaps they were just enjoying the show. Still the camera 1 was the first to feel the wrath of a man whos beer had gone to waste. It wasnt pretty.
Speaking of things that werent pretty. Vetis picked himself up off the edge of the floor where it met with the wall. For a building to survive the end of the world in ground zero it vertainly had to be sturdy and it had shown when he landed into it. He also felt it in his back as he lifted himself up. 35. It registered but not really. No irritance was clouding his mind for the moment. Pain would have to sit on the back burner for the time being. Sadly so would intuition as he neglected to take in the fact that the opposition was more than likely using some sort of attribute enhancing drug.

Jack sat at a random table in the crowd of random patrons. His eyes were focused on one man, a man that despite the years had not changed all that much. He was a man of no words and the blood that ran through his veins was the same as any mans. Bright red. Yet why did he have this almost overwhelming fear of approaching him, even when the brawl broke out there was almost anticipation about the events that would unfold around. It had been a long time since he had seen Vetis fight there was something he had waited for.
In this post apocalyptic world there didn't seem to exist any other perfect place that he could be than drinking in a tavern with other lawless men and women. Jack's burns began to tingle under the many layers of bandages. They had healed long ago but the psychological damage had been done and now he always wears them. He had gone through quite a rough patch these last few months, having found solace in a place he never thought to look with people he never would have associated with. From time to time he would venture out to where other people congregated in hope of finding out information for some supplies and what not.
This giant of a man appeared with his monstrous frame and with the power of his limb kicked the Lord of Blood through the wall. Leaping up onto the table Jack launched himself into the air, pushing off the head of a random patron. Glass in hand he would aim to fall down on top of the man who kicked Vetis and plunge his bottle directly down onto the crown of his head. If the bottle broke Jack would continue drive the bottle down slashing his skull open. In order to maximize the amount of force generated he would plant his knees down on the giants back to help balance and generate more force in his attack.
If plan A didn't work plan B was to ditch the bottle, with his previously arm slide it under the man's chin, and perform a choke hold on him. with his knee he would push into the man's back to help tighten his hold and apply more pressure on the wind pipe.

((Sorry for the long wait. I should be able to post daily now.))
The now-crisp cut man turned to the shape that jumped, grinding his teeth at the new interruption. A few cameras would turn in the direction of the male (jack) whom would be leaping through the air in his direction. Using the tip of his foot, he'd hook a foot through the leg of a chair, whipping it into the air to smash into Jack from the bottom. Whether the man was able to notice it or not, it would be a mere distraction, as the man would then step in and grab Jacks neck, turn and throw like a pitcher, Straight at Vetis.
He would then charge forward and, if Vetis caught or deflected Jack to the side, would flying drop kick the blonde through the wall. If, by some chance, they both fell, he would do a baseball slide into their bodies, intent on again crushing them both through the wall.

Sheer annoyance. This brutish bastard couldn't even keep his eye on the ball. Still for a bar fight he was surprisngly astute to have caught the familiar face of jack in his attack pattern. Perhaps it was some overtly loud sound that had given him away. Still a few seconds was more than enough time to kick up the debris of the broken table he landed through.
It would be very hard to block without leaving himself open for some vulnerability to exploit but given weapon was in hand jack was the bigger threat. Still while vetis did not have the strength and speed the militant commander had demonstrated he was not so far outclassed that he could not keep up with his movements. It was there!
Yes the moment his leg hooked the table vetis would tieg kick the debris as hard and as swift as he could. Given the mathmatical factors it would surely knock any man a deal forward and off balance. Still this man was a variable. Perhaps. It would only stagger him for a second. The sharpness with which he reacted gave the subtle hint that he might not be outclassed but still the dunce in comparisson. Still even a dunce can be distracting. Maybe it would save jack.

OOC: I've split my reply into two scenario's one is Vetis stops the commander from hitting Jack and the second is Vetis is too slow to save Jack.
IC:
As Jack was flying through the air toward his target all 300 Spartan style, a hint of doubt began to creep through his mind as his target suddenly became a blur. Jack's knees were raised up so he could plant them onto the commanders shoulders/back for leverage for the mighty knock out blow. This was his biggest asset as well as his greatest weakness. It would allow him more power but it left him unable to change direction to avoid any oncoming attacks but at least he was coiled up.
If the large chunk of debris smashed into the commander in time and knocked him off balance. It should have bought Jack enough time to crash into the commander.
In the even that the commander was rotating when the debris smashed into him, Jack would hit him on the side, and force his way passed. Extending his left hand out he would use the large chunk of concrete as a platform to vault over and away. Hitting the floor he would perform a forward roll turning as he got to his feet and flinging the bottle in his right hand at the face of the commander.
However if Vetis was unable to assist Jack, he would be smashed across the body with the table before being thrown like a pitcher throws a baseball into the oncoming debris. Crushing through it he hit the ground and let out a groan as the pain shot through his ribs. In the motion of being flung across the room like a football he lost his bottle. His only weapon at hand. Cursing as he tried to crawl away toward Vetis. Completely disorientated however aware that Vetis was at least for now an ally and help.
Slowly getting to his feet Jack would turn and raise his arms up in a feeble attempt to defend himself against any further oncoming attacks. Until his head cleared and his vision returned.
The boy would step back slowly always moving back to Vetis, to help and potential safety. If the commander didn't attack Jack would speak. "Come at me. You fucking pussy. The wolf of #552 will rip you apart"

[[OoC: Stats in parentheses are QI only. Stats being used are the ones outside of the parentheses.]]
"Losing your temper in a fight's liable to get you killed Jack."
The boy spoke in an even tone as he entered the bar. The boy had made it his duty to stop any and all conflict in this area. Especially if it was one of Barker's men and from Shugo's understanding there was some fight going on here involving Barker's men. At least that's what the people that had ran out of the bar when the fight started had said.
"I just have one question. Are you with Barker or not?"
The boy's fists would be adorned with his gauntlets and judging from the aura of animosity around him and the electricity following around his gauntlets, one could easily tell that he would attack if he heard the right answer. The steam golem would also be around his neck. Shugo would have already started building up heat energy towards it.

His eyes widened only slightly as Vetis' attack struck home. He would hear the crunch that signaled the blonde males foot connecting with a bit of debris. The short time that the material had to travel was no, however, enough for him to maneuver away. It would smash into his shoulder roughly, causing his body to stumble slightly, so Jack would would strike his twisting form in the side before dancing back. He turned back toward Vetis and now Jack, his teeth bared in anger before melting into a grin.
"Aye, good onya both." He knew what they were doing.
Pick the toughest target, the one making the spectacle, put him to the earth. The splattered pieces of glass on the hardwood floor crinkled under his foot as he took a step forward- before a voice sounded behind him, asking him a simple question.
The cameras on the buildings outside would have followed Shugo's approach, and as the male stepped inside, the men holding cameras would also turn to face him. A new combatant. His eye would flick over him casually, before turning to glance back at Vetis with a half grin. He would turn and dart at Shugo, aiming to grip the front of him, lift him up and run a few steps back outside with him and throw him to the ground.
Best not to become trapped between the two forces.

It was insulting really. He had left them to deal with all people, place, and thing....Shugo. This was a guy who Vetis had done really mehorrid things to merely because he could. With a dumbfounded look on his face he could only be pleasantly surprised as not just the main targets eyes but the eyes of the camera men closest to him turned to follow the "action". A small idea began to form in his twisted little mind.
For the moment he sat back down at the bar and ordered himself some drinks as well as some for Jack. Should Shugo require assitance he could easily ask as they were not very hard to find at this point. He ordered something strong, something manly.
•1 oz. EverClear •4 oz. Bombay Sapphire or Jeremiah Weed
•4 oz. Cold Wild Turkey
•2 oz. Herredura Tequila
•5 oz. Bacardi 151 Rum
•1 worm from bottle of Mezcla
•2 oz. Gatorade
See being in the lower parts of cali had its advantages with things such as tequila and worms. This drink was a variation of something called the strongest drink in the universe as written in the pages of the hitchikers guide to the galaxy. Many a dive bar had there hand in imitation with ingrediaents readily avaialble. This one was no exception. For Jack he ordered a water and smirked.
