"Disgusting"
A book crashed to the ground.
"I can quote every word- and that is not something I'm proud of"
And another.
One by one a low whistle of comments echoed through the abandoned library. A girl wearing a simple trench coat with the hood up, a pair of male suit pants that were much to big for her legs, a white Renaissance like poofy sleeved shirt, and a light blue corset was the perpetrator of harming the already damaged books.
"this is a crime to have on a shelf" she uttered as she climbed the broken shelves and clambered for another. The sun was setting and twilight hung heavy in the musty air of the room. The gloved hand picked up another novel and dusted it off with a breathe.
"oh..... here we go..."
The giant book she had plucked was as big as her arms, and she seemed rather intent on it's content. However, with a quick sniff she threw the book aside.
"Even if it could be useful in teaching half the stupid place about a decent vocabulary I doubt they would read it"
The book had been a Dictionary. The girl, who was also currently wearing a red wig to hide her real hair and a pair of sun glasses to hide her eye color...continued to shuffle from shelf to shelf.
"Damned that fool. Making me miss the reruns- and I had JUST gotten that stupid television to work. Figures I'd be the one called off to get trapped in a foreign country..the country which JUST SO HAPPENS to be the -oooh...."
She plucked a small blue book from the shelf and look over it's cover.
"here we go..." She tossed the dusty blue book into a sack. Next she switched shelves and her smirk at having found something tiny but useful seemed to fade quicker than it had appeared. Her eyes narrowed behind the sunglasses.
"Does this library have nothing suitable...honestly, I was hoping the end of the world might at least turn to ashes this deprived high school boys dream fanfiction gone horribly global"
The copy she held up was a copy of 'Fifty Shades of Grey'.
However, contrary to her now somewhat obvious opinion of the book she shoved it in the blue bag.
"Might be useful to Juliet" She breathed and then she wandered back to the book shelf to plow through some old dusty maps and other random folders.
Slowly the light in the library was beginning to die out, but it didn't seem to bother the Bastille in disguise as the mysterious scarlet beauty as she kept pulling items off the reachable shelves and tossed them into the shadows of the building.
[[ooc; bored. again blah- haha feel free to tag]]

Having laid low for the past couple of months Erik decided that maybe it was time to go out and see the world again. He hadn’t left the 3 block radius around his old apartment for some time. He slipped out the window and made his way down the fire escape. Upon reaching the ground he took off in a random direction and began to run. He didn’t know how long he had run but he stopped to rest after a while. I should really have kept up with my cardio, he thought to himself. He looked around where he had stopped and noticed a library. He couldn’t remember the last time he was even in a library. His thought immediately turned to his brother. Ryan used to love to read. Unlike Erik, Ryan would read any and everything he could get his hands on. Maybe I should go in and find something for him for when I get him back.
He made his way to the side of the library and climbed to the roof. Walking around the room he found what he assumed used to be a skylight. He looked through the hole and saw that the book shelves weren’t too far from the ceiling. He dropped down onto the nearest shelf. Looking around the he saw that someone had been going through puling books off the shelf and scattering them around. He climbed down and picked one up. It was too water damaged to even see what the title was and he threw it aside. He began to pace around the book shelves. He stopped and grabbed a book off the shelf. He brushed off the cover and immediately threw the book as hard and as far as he could. Twilight, he thought to himself, How could anyone even read that crap. He a loud crash and immediately regretted having thrown the book. Not because he had made a noise so much as he had possibly damaged something with that terrible book that might have been interesting. He continued to stroll around the shelves thinking of his brother. Occasionally he would stop and grab a book that looked interesting but he would drop it on the ground. The book he was looking for would have to be very special.

Bastille had heard him enter the building. Libraries echoed not by sound, but by vibrations. She could swear they were built on creaky old ground for that reason alone. Although, she really should give them some credit, as she had trained herself to be hyper aware of vibrations and movements of any kind. Now she heard the sound of books being glanced over. Upon hearing the thud, Bastille had swiftly dove into a hiding place. She glanced at the books near her fingers and smirked. George R.R. Martin. That reminded her of her wig. Slowly she peaked out and found a book whizzing towards her. She saw the book smash into the wall and her eyes narrowed.
"Twilight" She whispered and then scoffed. Turning her eyes back to the direction, she saw a boy cross her line of sight. Just to make sure she slid back into the shadows. She'd made extra careful to play ninja and quietly she slipped into the book shelves near by. Slowly she slinked into the one next to him and followed his pace up and down the aisle, being as careful and silent as a mouse over the debris. This might just proove to be interesting. She'd wait for him to pull another book off the shelf. Hopefully she was quick enough to place her face in the empty side so that when he pulled out what tickled his fancy he'd meet something that really tickled him. Her purple hues (thanks to blue contacts over red eyes) stared delightedly at him over the rows of books. She'd say no words- more thrilled to be the silent thriller that the loud suspense.

Finding another book he thought might be interesting he pulled it from the shelf. He didn’t immediately notice the set of purple eyes behind it as he was focused on the book. He finally looked up. “What the-!” he yelled and stumbled back. His foot caught on something and he feel backwards landing hard on his back. His head hit the edge of one of the book shelves and he blacked out. Finally, William thought, I haven’t been out in a long time. William immediately jumped to his feet. Using the bookshelf behind him he climbed to the top of the shelf and jumped to the top of the book shelf that the girl was peeking through. He crouched in a ready stance. What was she doing here? Who was she working for? Had he stumbled onto something? The paranoia was getting the better of him. “Why are you sneaking up on me?” he growled, “Who sent you here to find me?” William was pretty sure he they were alone. But he scanned the shelves for any sign of another person in case he had fallen into some kind of trap.

Bastille looked up and raised a brow.
"Don't flatter yourself. Who said I was even looking for you monkey man, and while we're on the topic, NO ONE sends me ANYWHERE. I don't take orders because frankly that is NOT the natural order of the universe. Dominating emotions are a common factor in survival based species however, I like to pride myself on the soul fact that I have evolved past such unpleasant social classifications and instead have begun a new evolutionary step to man kind by focusing my existence not on procreation and linear time patterns, but instead on the deeper equations. Regrettably that is probably the reason I am still in this place...it's filthy really. I merely question your cleaning abilities...have you no shame? These provide knowledge and science.....well except the ones I threw on the floor. They fail to peak any mountain of revolutionary theory. One might provide educational to more primitive minded chaps though....."
The [currently] red haired woman crossed her arms over her chest and sighed as if this was all common knowledge. She was well aware she had not only just ranted to the man in a rather confusing fashion, but she didn't seem to care about the situations obvious....inconsistencies.

William stared at the girl for several seconds after she finished. What was she trying to do? He was confused now. Was she doing this on purpose? She had said she wasn’t taking orders from anyone. Did that mean she was the giving orders? How could that be? No one else was here as far as he could tell. “So you’re here alone?” he asked. He stared into a dark corner trying to make out the outline of anything familiar. His paranoia was increasing every minute. He was fighting the urge to run. At the very least he might be able to learn something about the people who were chasing him for this girl.
He jumped down from the top of the book self into the aisle that the girl was currently in. When he landed a bird came flying in through a broken window startling him. He jumped back and pressed his body up against the book self waiting for something to happen next.

"Yes." She stated curtly. "Is that a problem?"
She kept her arms crossed, not reacting to any particular movement. Instead, she just watched and waited.

“Problem? No.” he slowly eased himself away from the bookshelf. He did not relax however; he still looked around franticly and began tapping his hands on the fingers on the nearest book. “Not sure why we came in here. I think I was looking for something can’t really remember what though.” Though more of William was working its way into Erik’s consciousness the opposite was not the case. William only held onto small bits of information from when Erik was in charge. He stopped tapping his fingers and began to pace down the book shelves running his hand along the spines. Occasionally he would grab a book and open it. He would read the first page he turned to before getting bored and throwing the book away.
“What were you doing in here anyway? This is an odd place for a girl to be alone.” He leaned in to whisper in her ear. “There are people watching us all the time. Especially me. They try to get me but I outsmart them.” He grabbed a book off the shelf and spun around throwing it over the top of the shelves. He quickly climbed to the top of the shelves again. Crouching, he franticly scanned the shelves occasionally he would tilt his head to the side as if he had heard something. “Did you hear that?” he ask. “Sounds like someone else is sneaking around.”

"Not I did not" Although...it was Bastilles ability to see that was her greatest asset. Her hearing was probably a far cry from what it had used to be. She watched him curiously.
"Are you by any chance a paranoid schizophrenic with multiple personality disorder or something" She got the last bit from when he said 'we' although she really now no clue. He could just be convinced he was royalty.

“Paranoid schizophrenic with multiple personality disorder? Multiple personality. Not for long. I don’t think its paranoia when people are actually chasing you. As for the schizophrenia, I don’t have that.” He jumped down form the book shelves. “I don’t believe I every got your name. You can call me William.” He moved to the end of the row of books. He gestured for the girl to follow. “Come look at this.” He pointed at a dark corner where he could see a deformed figure crouching in the corner. The figure seemed to shift in and out of existence. “See they have some sort of cloaking technology. No one else seems to be able to see them but me. They often tell me I am crazy but I know there are people there. Its because I am looking for my brother. They have him and they don’t want me to get him back. I don’t know why he is important to them but I will get him back. Even if it takes killing every last one of them.” He moved back behind the book shelves again grabbing a book. He threw it in the corner where he had seen the figure. The book hit the wall and dropped to the floor. “Dammit! Missed them again.” He turned to face the girl.”You have to be careful around them. They are very sneaky. They will be in one place one second and in another the next. See now he’s over there.” He pointed to a dark aisle between 2 book shelf on the second floor of the library. ”No use chasing after him right now.” He crouched down on the ground and started to play with a bug in the floor. The bug kept jumping off his hand every time he picked it up and he soon smashed it in a fit of anger.

Bastille just sort of stared.
"Look, my eye's aint what they used to be...mind telling me what they are, or what they look like"
Lie- her eye sight was perfect. But hey, she didn't want to upset the kid too much. He might be insane and Bastille was crazy enough for one destroyed library.

“There too good for that. They never let me see who they are exactly. I think they have some sort of camouflage that lets them be blurry outlines. There quick too. Every time I try and chase them they always seem to be able to avoid me no matter what I do.” He stood up and made a gesture for her to be quiet. He turned towards the book shelf and pushed with all of his might causing the row they were in to tip over. The domino effect cause 6 rows to fall. As soon as they feel William began to climb over the rubble of the book shelves throwing books here in the searching for whatever he had seen. He saw a blur out of the corner of his eye and stood upright. “See? They are to fast. No matter what I do they always seem to get away. Im just waiting for the one time they slip up and I can get my hands on one of them. Then they will know better then to follow me.” A lopsided grid came over his face. Oh the things he would do to them once he caught one. One day they would pay for tormenting him. One day.

Bastille didn't want to look. Either because she was afraid she'd see nothing, or probably even scarier of a thought- that she would indeed see something.
"Mind telling me your name?"
So...she'd switch the subject. This guy had even her witch side beat for commentary.

“My name is William. The others name is Erik. Though I know more about him then he knows about me.” He began to sort through the debris on the ground throwing books left and right as if searching for something. When he dug far enough and exposed the ground he pointed. “See? They don’t even leave foot prints. What do you think they are using to do that?”
