Hi everyone!
My name is the BoredArtist - not that I'm actually an artist or anything. Hah! But anyway, I found this forum on Deviantart while perusing around for some nifty pieces. I'm really liking the activity here, and I'm super excited to familiarize myself with everything and get to rping!
So just a bit about myself:
I've been rping for a while now for about 5-6 years. I really like IMRP, but board rp is totally fine too. =D I graduated college, am working full-time with a job that usually requires a bit of travel (so if I'm on and off, it's mainly because I'm out of town), and have lots of spare time at night to write.
For the time being, I'm going to try and read up on all the required readings, but if there are also great threads that you'd recommend I read (just to familiarize myself with how people rp on this forum), feel free to link it here!

I think I'll kick the introductions off. Welcome to 259 where we are an apocalyptic waste zone and yet my girl still intends on building a strip club! XDD
To be honest, there are a ton of great and fun things to read out there. we have a lot of cool people.
As for not being an artist, that is a lie. If you write you are an artist. The written word is a form of art.
People here are friendly and will help if you ask. But so you know who to call if you want to have some rather amusing moments of awkwardness... -raises hand- Silk's my name and making you feel horribly awkward is my favorite game. ^_^ There are others too, but I am saying my name first. XD

Don't overload yourself with the readings. Do some of the major threads and story lines but it's easy enough to figure out where this board's going with it's story. Best way to get on board is to jump right on.
If you have any questions, just let any of us know and we can help you out man.
This is normally the part where the joke comes. But I am up way too early well for me and running late so I'll let someone else take care of that.

Kehe. Greetings boredartist. I'm one of the mods on here (this being my alt account). Regarding your persisting travelling state: Don't worry about it. There are cases where such threads, even if not responded to for a few weeks will eventually get responded to. Do what you wish to, so long as you have fun! This board has been around for... say 7+ years now. Maybe more. While you're a vet RPer, if the layout of the board is new to you or if you have any questions, no matter how elementary you may feel, please don't be afraid to ask and inquire on anything. Basic rules are still in effect, meaning you won't have to worry about later rules. Regarding Qi, keep in mind that since the new turn of the board, all new users now have Qi locked until they have (IC-wise) gone through something particularly hurtling (typically awarded upon completion of a territory-based quest or other quest based thing, unless otherwise approved). ANYWAYS We're probably overloading YOU at this point, so please have a stretching cat. |
