So what resources did this city have to offer? That was a question he found himself asking, he was a businessman after all. Why wouldn't he see if he could make a profit here. Certainly there would be things he couldn't find in Seattle here, and vice versa. The world would never get rebuilt without trade, he knew that. Which is why he intended to be the one to get the biggest slice of the pie.
"Hmmm, doesn't seem to be anything of value in this building. Oh well."
It was pretty much just rubble, but it was a big city. He would find something he wanted.

"Earth Dragon."
Shugo sat atop a mountain of rubble peering down below him. The cobalt haired boy had been sitting there clearing his mind while he was out for a walk. Originally he had planned to stay within the area of the Manor, but obviously that had changed. Shugo wouldn't move from his perch. He found no reason to show the respect of walking over to the Dragon. They had never been on good terms and in fact, last time they had met, they were enemies.
"You're a long way from Dragon Territory."
The boy smirked and spoke in an antagonizing manner. Clearing his head obviously hadn't gone too well. He was stressed, tired out, and angry. Not a very good combination.
"Then again. I guess I'm not exactly home either."

He sighed and face palmed. Apparently Barker had shitty aim if he lived. Annoying... like some blue haired cockroach. Or something equally annoying.
"And why would I care about territory. As far as I am concerned Dragon Territory is 50 feet around me no matter where I am."
Dragon territory. Laughable.

Shugo scoffed at the level of pride the Earth Dragon had. It rivaled Shugo's own ego. The boy couldn't help but keep that smug smirk up while he looked down at the Dragon.
"Right. Remind me to keep a good 50 foot distance. Wouldn't want to catch the furries from you dragons."
Damn the boy knew how to get himself into trouble and piss people off. And so far, he was more than likely doing a bang up job of it.

He rolled his eyes. What an idiot. He hated shit like that, unless him and Leon did it. Then it was funny. But Shugo, not funny at all. He could make a bar graph showing how unfunny Shugo was, which would be funnier than Shugo.
Mathew took a step forward.

God Shugo wanted to deck that cocky jackass in the face. But fine. This guy wanted to know what real fury was? Shugo would show him. Rage wasn't just something that you spoke of lightly. It wasn't just something you lived with. Not for Shugo. It defined Shugo. His rage took part of his life in every fight and seeped out with every punch. But just as quickly as he got rid of it, new rage showed up in it's place, without fail.
"That's funny... You Dragons... You just take. And take. Claiming to keep balance. You guys never cared who you stepped on. I bet you can't even remember the faces of the people you've destroyed."
Shugo would stand and jump down from his perch to be at an even level with the dragon.
"Not me. I remember the faces of every person I fought, whether I wanted to or not. I remember the faces of every person I wasn't able to save. Because of this endless circle of fighting. If you Dragons are really so powerful, why don't any of you get off of your god damn high horses and do anything about it? Or is that just it? Are you just tough words? Cause all I've seen from you people is talk."

Mathew blinked in slight confusion at Shugo's words.
"Wait... We claim to keep balance?"
Not the Dragons he grew up with and started. They did what they wanted because they could. It was kind of the opposite of keeping balance. The taking part was right, totally legit.

"I went to you Dragons for help in New York. The Dragons denied my request for help. 31 students were killed. 272 students were hospitalized. And they didn't find the bodies of 12 students."
Shugo's fists tightened as his gauntlets began to glow bright red with his rage. Steam would begin to come off of the gauntlets as the boy closed the distance between them.
"And that was on me. I couldn't protect my school, that was my fault. But you. All you Dragons want is a never ending fight. You guys love war, in fact you feed off of it. That's the difference between you and me. I'm doing something to stop this war, to the help people that need it. But you people. All you've been doing is spilling blood for your own profits. Taking up territory wherever you can."
Shugo would break into a sprint and leap forward at the Earth Dragon. Twisting his torso forward Shugo would send a forceful punch with his right fist, throwing the entire weight of his body behind it, aiming it at the Earth Dragon's sternum.

He shook his head. Shugo knew nothing of Dragons and what drove them. To link them all together proved just that. But people will think what they want.
He kicked at the ground, a large pillar of stone shooting up quickly to slam in to the center of Shugo's rib cage.

Shugo would simply launch his punch earlier than was expected. The full force of his punch would be enough to shatter the pillar. Quickly his eyes would dart through the debris while he was still in mid air and the boy would grab the sharpest looking piece of pillar.
As he landed on the ground, the boy would throw the sharp piece of pillar aiming it at the dragon's face, right in between the eyes to be specific. From there, the boy would go into a slide kick to attempt to hit the Dragon's shins.

Mathew pivoted to the side to avoid the the shard of stone that whipped by his face. As Shugo slid toward Mathew he pointed his arm at him, the stone that was coiled around his body shooting out, a sharp and barbed spear aimed the puncture through his side. If he wanted to use sharp and possibly lethal force, then he wouldn't hold back either.

As the tip pierced his side, Shugo would grab the spear. Luckily his gauntlets would protect his hands from the barbs on the spear. The boy would pull it out of his side; it hadn't gone in too deep. As Shugo would continue going sliding at Mathew, he would aim his feet to hit at Mathew's shins and swing the spear at the Earth Dragon as well. Shugo aimed the tip of spear at the Earth Dragon's right soldier.

The kick would hit Mathew's shin. Though as Shugo might expect, he appeared to be unharmed by it. What might surprise him was that the spear still was up his sleeve and coiled around his arm giving him control to manipulate the stone still. And while his guantlets would protect his hand it would not protect him from the many sharp needles that extended from the spear to pierce along his arms and shoulder.
Mathew's foot would also stomp down on the ground, causing a pillar to shoot out of the ground under the temporarily prone Shugo's back.
"It would be a shame if you made me kill you Shugo. Because it occurred to me that I could use your help with something."
He said as the pillar would rise up. Not a spear, because he actually could use Shugo.

The spear would change shape in Shugo's grasp and almost stab into his arm, but Shugo would roll backwards out of the way just in time to escape with it slicing his upper arm. Bad, but still preferred to what the alternative would have been. Shugo would then be slammed by the pillar in his back as he was lifted up and thrown into the air. The boy would catch his breath as he was falling back down towards the ground but complete a flip to land on a foot and a knee. The Dragon had use for him? Shugo didn't quite like where this was going. Shugo shuttered to think what kind of help the Dragon wanted.
"Look. As flattered as I am. I'm straight."

He laughed.
"As am I, engaged even. No I meant I could use your help to find an old friend from 552."
Maybe as a distraction for Barker's men to attack while Mathew pressed on?
