So Mathew was in the upstairs area of their home. The Leon's and his apprentices were out and about doing whatever. Free time, which gave Mathew some precious alone time for himself. It was like having five kids, and it was starting to drive him nuts. From testing and training Kiyr and Raikotus to dealing with the three VERY different Leon's all at once.
He sighed as he shifted in the bed in the master bedroom. A notepad in his hands and a pen tapping gently against the paper. He was trying to figure out what to do once they took the facility that one of the Leon clones had pointed him too. Whether it was wiser to help the Dragon's expand further South or to the East and West. Or to fortify the Dragons and to push the God's to expand, either down South in the neutral territory, or to the East in to Barker territory.
There was a lot that could go wrong, and he would rather not make a mistake that would throw soldiers away needlessly. Soldiers that he could use later in his quest for revenge and rescue.

Bastille had taken to OCDly cleaning the house, cooking rather interesting(and rather superbly tasting, though getting to that step in the eating process was the challenge) meals, and working odd jobs that had left her out of Amtrums watchful eye for a couple days at a time. She never really asked for his permission, but then again, she figured he was the one who really needed watching. She'd heard rumors and whispers of what he was doing in the mean time, but she was a big girl and had her own life. One she was quickly making in order to tell herself she wasn't as worried or hung up on his recklessness as she liked to admit. However, that night she had not return to the residence nor left some sign that she was still working whatever odd job or mysterious connection she had cooked up. Instead, it was radio silence for a full 14 hours. That is, until this morning.
Down stairs a rather loud racket occurred as the door was opened and cursing between two voices could be heard. Bastille was home, and she had company. Well, not welcome by any of Bastille's standards- she'd been desperately hoping this bitch had died in the apocolypse, but apparently, this doctor knew how to get around every scenario without so much as batting an eyelash. It made some part of Bastille glad that this doctor upheld such a strict moral and christian code. She'd have been lethal had she chosen to be a killer.
The red hair doctors pushed up the pair of glasses on her nose, and sniffed hotly. "If you didn't insist on running EVERY TIME I so much as thought about polietly letting you know of my presence, we wouldn't have this issue now would we Miss. Cunningham? Sit still, the drugs will have you paralyzed for at least three hours. Then you can move around as you like, I wont be here to stop you."
"I never wanted your help. I keep telling you that, but even after the world's ended you're STILL stalking me as your best charity case. Seriously you bleeding hag, get a life and get over mine." Bastille cursed slowly and bitterly through a heavy tongue. She sounded like she was doing her best not to become fully sedated.
"Now now love, you and I both know you just provided the most interesting case for me.....how could I ever turn that down when I stumbled upon it. Now, sit up and sip the water or youll get dehydrated like last time and spend the night meeting the contents of your stomach. Luckily I got you to eat before you realized it was me. Woops- not too fast love, alls the fun when the fun lasts."
"Bitch"
"No need for language, Now...lets see."
The voices continued to pitterpatter back and forth. Mostly with Bastille throwing loose insults as she did her best to concentrate. Her British accent was thick and almost completely unrecognizable when she talked. The red head was clearly American, however she spoke with a slight western twang, that could barely be heard. The two ladies had made it inside the door, the doctor pushing Bastille in a wheelchair through the door. Bastille herself was thrown about, slumping in the chair and unable to keep her eyes focused on any one object. The doctor stood and looked around.
"I'll admit it took me a while to locate you this time, after your abrupt leaving from Spain....everyone back there is worried. Regardless, seems you've actually been managing well. Engaged and everything"
Bastille flicked her eyes to the woman, but they immediately fell in a haze.
"Oh dont think I didn't notice that nice ring. You really are full of surprises my lady."
"Got no say" Bastille managed to utter through her stupor.
"Regardless, where is the fiance? If you wont take your drugs I might as well tell him and he can make you do it. If he got a ring on your finger, he must be something"
"Heh." Bastille just scoffed and tried pouting, but again her expression returned to a rather distant stare.

Mathew heard the ruckus and slid out of bed, throwing the pad down on the floor as he reached for his coat. Sliding it on as he silently descended the stairs. He caught about half of what was going on. A smirk playing across his lips at the back and forth about her ring. It was at that time he let his presence be known.
"Would someone tell me what is going on here?"
It wasn't a question so much as a demand of answers as he made his way to the first floor of the building. His eyes flicking from Bastille to the doctor. Admittedly it was amusing to see her in that state. Served her right for running all the damn time.
"Because as far as I am seeing right now, we got a stranger pumping who knows what in to my woman."
Soon he was standing right in front of the doctor. A dangerous gleam in his eyes as he stared right at her. Meeting her gaze.
"Explain. Now."

Bastille flicked her eyes up with sudden hope that the doctor might die at the hands of Amtrum and thus in her immediate mind he'd redeem himself for running off and being an idiot. But all those thoughts immediately vanished as her mind went hazy again. She just slumped a bit further.
The doctor held out a hand to Amtrum and smirked wickedly. She held no fear in her eyes, only a purely quizzical enlightenment that matched only Buddha or mother Teresa.
"My name is Doctor Amelia Kent. I'd go through the list of degrees, but it puts people to sleep. Truth, simple and curt- I've your fiance's doctor. Self proclaimed since she had no sanity to obtain one of her own volition. She is currently sedated with a drug called Scopolamine, a drug usually used to cure illnesses occurred by motion sickness. It works by blocking transmission of impulses at nerve sites in the gastrointestinal tract and the vomiting center. Usually it comes in a patch, for Bastille, I used a powder water mix solution that keeps her ability to move innate. Because Bastille is hyper aware of movement, this drug is twice as powerful on her nuerosystem. That allows me to do a full physical, replace the mechanics in her left thigh, repatch everything around her hip systems and basically prepare her for whatever reckless thing she plans to do next. The leg work is my design, my rather proud of it, but she doesn't seem to appreciate her life enough to keep on the antirejection medication. When she was in Europe, I used to get her servants to sneak it into her meals or inject it into her when she was asleep. I'd make sure she didn't wake up. But she's long over due, so I ran no risks this time. She's fine now, all fixed up and ready for action - although you might want to wait a couple hours. She wont be fully coherent till then. By my watch, it's 20 minutes till her body runs through some of the medication and she'll be able to talk normally- but her eyes and body wont be able to move properly or focus for at least another 6 to 12 hours. I suggest putting her on bed rest, she sleeps deeply and it usually cures her of any ailment or side effects completely."
She paused in her long explanation-
"Ah sorry. That was a bit much, would you like the lab records"
Bastille hissed dully. "D-ont give him ANYTHING!"

He wasn't a doctor, and had very little medical knowledge. So the list of drugs didn't mean much to him. He was more concerned with the results of the treatments. As well as why they were needed.
"And all this is just so you can patch up her leg? Or is there more to it?"
He asked holding out his hand for the lab reports. He ignored Bastille's protests.

Bastille grunted, while Doctor Kent turned and thumbed through her old, beaten up breifcase. She pulled out a red folder and handed it to him. The Doctor pushed up the glasses on her nose and looked at Bastille. She looked back at Amtrum and nodded, motioning for him to hold on one moment. She walked over, Bastille's eyes not even following her movement anymore. The doctor seemingly laid a gentle hand on her shoulder, yet, after a split second Bastille went completely limp. The Doctor stood and looked at Amtrum.
"Sorry, but she wouldn't want me telling you this- I dont think she fully understands it either...her condition I mean. You may or may not know what caused the damage to her body? Regardless, that is not my place to tell you, nor will I. It's up to her."
Doctor Kent looked up and sighed.
"She went through an accident that caused a chunk of her left thigh missing. I, being one of the leading experts in regenerative sciences was able to replace most of the muscle, tissue and other parts of the leg, using her own cells. But, like most surgeries, there are little bits and pieces of foreign substances, like metal, which are used to bind ligaments. Any normal person would be using a cane the rest of her life, however, my technology has allowed her to be up to par as she was before. It was an agonizing experience for her I'm sure. She spent the better of two months in the Norwegian mountains, screaming. But she is back to new....and she knows it. She just needs to take her medication. Other than that, there remain no complications, at this point in time. I cannot speak for future injuries she might acquire. Can I trust you to do a good job and keep her taking her medication? You can easily slip it into her food, or even into her mouth when she is asleep- or my personal routey favorite, through a kiss. It's small and she doesn't seem to really notice it either way. I'm coy like that. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to sneak back to Spain before her brother's next surgical appointment and about half dozen other appointments. If you think she is bad at running from doctors, you really should meet her brother Buck. That poor boy cant do anything but wheel around and yet he still manages to get into a heap of trouble. It was a pleasure to meet you Mister Amtrum, I assume we will be meeting again soon. Do give me a call if you run out of the medication or anything else you might need. I do believe all of it is in that folder."
Before he could say anything she was walking towards the door and was gone almost instantly. She had that ability that ninjas did- to vanish out of thin air. The file in Mathews hand would probably read as pure gibberish- all of it being written in the typical chicken scratch that was the average doctors handwriting. The doctor would not tell Bastille's full condition. She respected patient-doctor confidentiality too much. Besides, Bastille hardly even knew. In sum, she told Amtrum pretty much only what he already knew,....Bastille had once been injured pretty badly and that she still maintained a rather fervent ability to avoid doctors at all costs. After a couple seconds Bastille would shift.
"Cheeky fox lady....damnit, I can't even see....did she knock me out through my blasted shoulder again?! Stupid trick leaves me blind for hours." Bastille cursed to the room, almost completely unaware of Amtrums lingering presence. Sight was her primary ability- with it lost...her other senses had to work twice as hard - and they were failing miserably thanks to the drugs. Her hand reached out, feeling for something to grab onto.

He opened the file and frowned before tossing it to the side. He could kind of make it out, but that was like saying he could make out the characters of a message written in Japanese. He still didn't know what it all meant. Another puzzle for another time.
"Looks like it."
He said as he clasped her hand. Giving it a quick squeeze.
"I'm going to pick you up and take you to bed. Come on."
And he would do just that. But now he knew there was something else. Something that he didn't know, and he was going to get answers out of her.

"Right Right...can't feel anything so if I start convulsing- the bathroom is a better location." She warned grimly however her eyes stared at nothing in front of her and she quickly allowed herself to go back to limp.

"If you start convulsing I will get you there. But I want you comfortable in the mean time." He laid her down on the bed.
"How long have you been dodging your medicine?"

"aside from the times she thought she deceived me? Around 2 years." She said in a distracted manner.
"Relaxing sounds crappy. This medication makes you want to move, but keeps you from doing it. I'm all twitchy. I dont trust doctors. Putting foreign substances into your body...stuff you dont know about. Like Barker....Shit."
Bastille was completely limp in his arm's, despite her statement about feeling twitchy.

"You think she is like Barker?"
He suspected if she was, Bastille would not be back home now. Or she would have tried to inject Mathew with something.
He laid her down carefully on her side of the bed, Moving the blankets before putting them over her.

"Yes." It was a blunt and simple answer. Bastille was still scared by what Barker did to her. Making her qi completely unusable and self destructive. Pumping all those agents into her that turned her own body against her- it was obvious from her quiet tone that she didn't want to talk about it. That she wouldn't. At least, not about her fear for doctors. Truth was she'd hated them before that, but it had never run that deep.

"I see."
He remained standing for now. In case he needed to take her to the bathroom.
"But she fixed you up? As she said she did?"

"Yes." Bastille answered again. Pausing for a moment as her eyes searched the darkness for a spit of light.
"I guess she did."

He pulled up the simple wooden chair that was one of the extra furnishings of the Master Bedroom, sliding it up next to Bastille and the bed. His hand reaching out to clasp hers again. He was worried, only because he had never seen her like this. Even if it was the drugs. It was... off putting to see her helpless. He couldn't even enjoy the extra power he had over her at the moment, it was that bad.
"Is there anything else I should know about?"
He chance to come clean.
