She smirked.
"Cool huh?"
She sat up in the water and allowed her upper torso to feel the cool air.
"Actually, during the train incident, my skull around my eyes fractured from the pressure and heat. I'm no doctor, but basically she said she had to rapidly cool the muscle tissue and do some odd regernative shit. My eyes are normal, if anything work better- only thanks to those contacts I had. They protected them so my eyes were able to be fixed at all. But basically anytime my emotions cause my body temperature to rise or fall, or anytime im in extreme heat or extreme cold- the lines show up more. They are cracks in the muscles under the skin- so while the skin grew back the muscles are permanently damaged. If you run your finger over them you can feel the muscle beneath, it feels like glass, but trust me- it's not uncomfortable or anything.....just takes some getting used to."
She smirked, almost proud of it.
"at least I never have to do eyeliner ever again- not that i did it much before"

"That's actually pretty cool. I can dig it."
Looked cool, and if it didn't hurt her or lower her performance then it was all good. Hell, if anything it could add an intimidation factor to the equation. Probably end up useful at some point.

Bastille smirked.
"They feel bloody brilliant" She said, letting her fingers graze the skin around her eyes. The skin looked like silk moving over glass. It was sort of creepy, but when she removed her fingers the skin returned rather quickly to its position.

"So how often should I expect the doc to come by with medication for you?"
He changed the subject back to a more serious note.
"I'm assuming I will be seeing her again since she insisted I make sure you take your medication."

"Not likely actually"
Bastille hummed, testing out her legs and other bodily functions to see if she was fully back to the land of the living. Thank you scalding hot water, you solve all issues.
"She only appears when she wants to. Usually you just find piles of medication somewhere, it's like walking through a video game. You ever play that one japanese one? Poke pocket monsters or something....anyway, like when you happened around those magical balls that kidnapped everything, she just puts them places she knows you'll be the first to find them. Found a suitcase full in my fridge once-....when I owned a fridge."
She paused, obviously distracted on this subject by her own ability to think again.
"I had a fridge.....yah no wonder I dont still have one, the idea is just outrageous."

"Great, so she is just going to be in the house randomly without us here."
He didn't sound pleased with that idea. Privacy issues.

"No...I mean, you'll be walking down the street and you'll see a package in front of you- that's the kind of delivery service she runs." Bastille sounded less enthusiastic about that way. She'd prefer finding random things in her house. She got out of the tub and wrapped a towel around herself, and then promptly sat on Mathews lap with a smirk, her legs gently wrapping around his waste.
"so what ever happened to diamonds, hrm Amtrum? As genuinely majestic as dragons are, you of all people should know I'm much more of a classy type girl. Tradition is everything."
She took careful note to emphasize her British accent, as her fingers gingerly poked the back of his neck. She was making if obvious that she was done being serious for a day.

He smiled and leaned in to capture her lips in his as his arms snaked around hers when she finished talking. It was adorable. And diamonds were not a problem. Though the stone ring was more of a symbolic gesture. Representing not only the proposal but the fact that she was his. Like one would brand cattle.
Pulling away from the kiss he had that impish grin on his face. A sparkle in his eyes. He was fine with leaving the serious talk behind for now.
"What makes you think you should get diamonds though? So defiant all the time. Or are you done trying to break free?"
He teased.

"You wish, mate." She flicked her wet hair, already extending down to her shoulders. That reminded her- she needed a hair cut. Luckily, over the years, it'd stopped growing faster than you could blink. But for now she'd enjoy sitting their and using it as a weapon.
"Just remember, this makes you mine as well..." She said it with a devilish undertone. It was a dangerous and mysterious meaning that she emphasized with a ghosting kiss over his lips before she stood and winked at him.

He barked a small laugh.
"I don't cheat, do not worry."
He leaned back against the toilet, letting his eyes wander over hers. He liked it when she was playful. This was the Bastille he loved the most. As much as he also loved her rough and tough warrior side. But this, this was special.

"Right, I'll believe it when I see it" She retorted with a huff and made her way back to the bedroom, shoving on an overly large t-shirt and burrowing under the covers.

What just happened? He had never cheated in a relationship. Women.
He got up and would leave the Bathroom and just plop down on the bed, over the covers in silence.

Bastille smirked, but said nothing to comfort him. She trusted him, at least...one part of her did. She closed her eyes and fell asleep in her cocoon. Fighting drugs was an exhausting effort.

He stayed awake for some time. Alone with his thoughts, and he had a lot to think about. How to cure her. What the next step was. Where they were in their relationship. A lot of things.
