"Double? Double! You have got to be kidding me!"
Another voice warbled through the cell phone to the young man’s ear, who was not amused and pacing in frustration. As the voice on the other end continued to explain the situation, the young man pressed the fingers to his forehead as a massive headache was growing. Everything had started fine and now as the deal got complicated his head began to pound with vicious force almost continuously. He hoped this would be worth it.
"So I find what I want on the land and you jack up the price? Face it, no one would have wanted the land otherwise."
…
"That is disgraceful. Know, I'll tie this up in court if I have to just to prevent a sale."
...
"Paying more I can do, but double is absurd."
...
"Fine. Done deal. I’ll be at your office tomorrow morning to make it official, if that’s fine."
…
"Very well, good doing business with you."
The price was going to be steep, steeper than he would have like but at least the price had been dropped simply out of mercy. But it had what he would need for the endeavor to be successful, in fact the vital bit that without this would be impossible. Unfortunately with the price adjustment the preset budget would be changed, not that it would be too much of a pain to this entrepreneur but it was unforeseen. He used his phone to send an e-mail to inform his uncle simply because the man wished to stay informed.
"Jesus fuck."
A long sigh escaped the white suit clad Brit as his mind began to go over the next steps… architects, construction, and the hassles that came with it. He ran his hand through his hair while digging into his pocket to find his pack. Once it was located the young man placed a cigarette upon his lips as he brought the flame of the lighter to the opposite end. As he took a long drag and replaced the pack back in his pocket, the Englishman strode over to the edge of the roof and propped himself against the railing as his blue eyes gazed over the school grounds. Things wouldn’t be getting an easier for a long while.
