Bastille Cunningham Justice inspired my exalted Creator: I am a creature of the Holiest Power, of Wisdom in the Highest and of Primal Love......- I endure eternally. Abandon all hope — Ye Who Enter Here -Dante Alighieri's Inferno Introduction:She started out as a blob character, one of my typical 'mary-sue' back-stories and a lot of extra clay to play with. But she emerged nothing like I predicted. Originally an honor bound knight in an endless quest for justice much like your typical vigilante, she shed her princess upbringing and morphed into the witch. I don't control her, she becomes what insanity cooks up for her. Bastille is not one person, but three. Her past, present, and an unknown future. The Princess, the Knight, and the Witch. This profile is hopefully the most complete profile I will have written for her. That is, if I ever get it done.

Personality: The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe. Bastille has multiple personality syndrome-or at least a very mild version of it. DID or MPD constitutes an extremely rare mental disorder characterized by at least two distinct and relatively enduring identities or dissociated personality states that alternately control a person's behavior, and is accompanied by memory impairment for important information not explained by ordinary forgetfulness. Bastilles particular case involves five distinct personalities that share a collective memory but observe it through different lenses. Depending on which personality is prevalent at the time, the memories take on new emotional and even visual value. Sometimes the memories are completely scrambled around. Bastille wasn't always this way. In fact, she was a normal girl once. Before a series of traumatic experiences, Bastille was extremely stubborn. Raised like a prodigy, she was trained and schooled excessively and this resulted in her being very smart and cunning at a very young age. By the time she was thirteen, she had a lower grade college education level and a fluency in multiple languages as well as a physical skill in arts such as piano, cello, violin, and the harp to even those arts including fencing and basic self defense skills. She was also an apt dancer. A very busy childhood formed Bastille into a highly educated tool of the family and the child knew it. She was smart, tactful, witty, and most of all stubborn with an outlandishly impulsive attitude. Bastille used to force her childhood into her personality because her living life was full of being an exact mold of her families ideals. She also idolized her father and felt protective over her mother which proved to be more masculine in nature...but in being raised to be the next family head, there was certainly nothing wrong with this. After Leon's brutal murder and the disconnect from her father...as well as multiple months of horrible emotional distress Bastille split her personality into three in order to protect herself and continue the strive for life. The Locked Away Princess; This side of Bastille is locked away because it resembles most closely her old self. Growing with Bastille, she had been locked away inside Bastilles brain silently cowering away from a world who has spurned her kindness and admiration for the world around her. However, certain aspects of the Princess do arise and leak through the binds of her cage. Emotions, what few Bastille can understand and interpret, are thanks to her. Any show of kindness or softness is the Princess. Also any show of Charisma or leadership skills belong to the princess. These mostly leak through the Knight, but indeed do not belong to the knight directly. Love and sadness also belong to the Princess as well. In motherhood, the princess has begun to wake up, confusing and causing turmoil between her other personalities. It is often believed, by even Bastille herself, that the Princess is her true nature and when it is unleashed the others inside will merge back to the main. Bastille feels overly threatened by this part of her, considering it the weakest and unfit to keep the vessel (aka her body- and thus the others) alive. Inside Bastilles mind this part of her personality is often seen asleep inside a metal cage inside of a dusty attic. The attic represents her old estate home in York and consequently the creation origin of this side of the personality which was first formed during Bastilles childhood. The Wardrobe Not one of the three prominent personalities (those being the Knight, the Witch, and the Princess), the Wardrobe is more of a subpersonality rather than an actual personality. Taking the form of Bastille as an 7 to 8 year old girl, the child acts as the outward guard to the princess and sometimes acts as that personalities voice. She appears in Bastilles mind in the attic locking the Princess away, but she can also move to other portions of Bastilles subconscious. This personality never actually manifests itself as the main person in charge of Bastilles body- because it is a subpersonality. In fact, it's only job is to guard the childhood memories of Bastille and to thusly, guard the Princess. Furthermore, she often goes ignored by the witch and the knight. The girl is soft, exuberant, outgoing, stubborn, and most of all - happy. Most of these innocent emotions belong directly to the wardrobe and in succession belong to the Princess though her personality does not hold them. Between the two, they hold all normal human understanding of emotion, which is why Bastille cannot correctly process emotions. The Wardrobe also feels it is her duty to make sure that Bastille does not ever learn how to do so again, as it could be damaging. The Knight The most common and prevalent emotion in control of the body in tandem with the Witch, the knight is the personification of Bastilles childhood morals and unrealistically high standards for living honorably. Formed in the perfect visage of a knight, this personality shines through Bastilles cold and calculative nature in battle, her bravery, and her unwavering loyalties and morals. Since, in practice, this personality cannot survive without certain rule breaking ideas it must constantly be in harmony with the Witch despite the two personalities obvious distaste for the other. This image appears in the mirrored forest in a suit of armor and rarely speaks, and when it does it speaks in pros. This is why the Witch mostly controls Bastilles mouth and vocal aspects. The Knight however, is most of what Bastille is now. She is righteous, loyal, honorable and most of all stubborn and rigid in her ways. There must exist an understanding that dark and light do exist in everything and that there is also a labyrinth of grey. Everything must be handled fairly and justly and to follow is to lead. This side of Bastille motivates most of her daily action. The Witch The third and final prominent personality, the witch acts as the cynical and angry part of Bastille. Extremely well versed in wit and charm, the witch is cunning, ruthless, tactful, coy, and deceitful to a fault (usually regulated by the knight). She is also vindictive, harsh, bloodthirsty, and relatively well educated. Anything that does not define Bastille as a knightly figure full of awe-inspiring chivalric ethos or as a kind and ultimately soft princess belongs to the witch. Most of her negative emotions fuel the witch and the witch serves as the ultimate binding mechanism against the microscopic translation and processing of emotions. She usually appears in tandem with the knight and inside the subconscious only ever appears in the mirrored forest clad in the old garb Bastille wore as Kahleesi since it was during that time that the Witch was most prominent and underwent the most growth. The Jester Thought to be the merger of Bastilles personalities back into a disjointed and broken, singular personality- it is actually a muddied manifestation brought on by Bastilles second visit to the correctional facility. Similar to the knight, this personality is usually silent. It manifests as a mirror of the emotion most entertaining. Because it was not created until after the disjunction caused by instincts endowed by motherhood and through the princess, it has the ability to access all three personalities as well as the emotions that they guard. She mirrors and copies the other emotions, not exactly having one of her own. However, she also twists them to an unknown master. The jester is silent and for the most part cannot be controlled or even seen by the other emotions, moving in shadows and warping the mental reality as well as Bastilles mental understanding of the world around her. Most importantly, it is an actor...and works to portray characters- always hiding behind a mask. When this personality is in control, certain aspects of Bastilles personality are obviously distorted. She was created by the brains suicidal sets and has consequently forgotten all modes of self preservation or protection. In fact, this personalities entire goal is to disjoin Bastilles body further from the personalities that make her who she is, and instead shadow them over effectively making her a doll to ideals instilled in her by Barker. Aside from the Jester, all of the personalities hold very similar currents throughout them. This and the fact that they share a memory bank, albeit through different lenses, make Bastille seem more like a succinct individual. She is brave, honorable, loyal, high standard morally, the embodiment of the chivalric ethos, quiet, witty, stubborn, twisted in her sense of humor, jumbled but connected in logic, compassionate when asked to be, and loving when she needs to be. She is also generally a happy and care free- as well as lazy- persona. From time to time she will get angry and she will get annoyed and even bored. These habits instill themselves in all of her different personalities (sometimes more in one than others). It is important to note, that all of these personalities are important to take into consideration when taking on Bastille as a person. Although not immediately visible to those outside her mind, they do exist and can act as both a weakness and strength in judging her character. ----------------------------- After the events of her second capture, Bastille's MPD is severely altered allowing her freer access to her emotions and it also resulted in the combination of said personalities into a less split difference. Now instead of completely separate personalities, they are all points of perspective of the one resulting in a much more minor case of MPD. Consequently her PTSD is now suddenly more severe.

-The legendary boots worn by a legendary vampire huntress. Though she herself is a myth, the boots she 'wore' are very much real. Leather crafted by the best craftsmen for a slim and flexible fit that doesn't hinder movement and is comfortable to wear. They are also extremely durable and protecting to their master. Steel toe and heel make for an extra sharp kick, metal plate on back of heal produced from the metal of melted Vatican crosses bathed cooled in holy water. Nearby was the body of a recently collapsed boy with blond hair, who had evidently just dropped it on the girl's chest. The last few words that Kaufman heard the boy mumble was “Siegfried” and... “Sis”
The boy had to be taken to the E.R. for multiple third-degree burns scattered about his body, as well as many jagged cuts about his thighs. Blood loss was high. Signs of bruises and other injuries were found especially around his head... The possibility of brain damage being high. It is unknown as to how the boy, in his condition was able to survive the gas, survive the explosions, obtain the blade, and seemingly knowingly deliver it to the girl. Just one of the many mysteries of the aftermath of the Correctional Facility incident.
However, the blade is an amazing piece of art. It is unknown as to who exactly smithed the blade, but the alloids and metal used in it is perfectly designed to not cut anyone, bur more rather instead, be used as a typical rapier, except perhaps in the fact that it can cause a world of hurt upon its high-impact thrusts, slashes, etc. The blade itself was smithed to a pristine purple, cooled in oil and wine as it was processed and heated over and over again. As for the sheath, it makes for a great guarding tool, as some early tests have found that while the impact of a blow on the sheath can rattle the user holding onto it to parry a block, the sheath, nor the blade itself for that matter, will ever receive a scratch. Metal wraps around in an intricate design around the user's hand, providing excellent protection for anyone trying to disarm the user. The only way that the name of this weapon is known is from the engraved English runes that were engraved on the inside of the sheath, which is the reason for the different names in the different languages. General Qi Description: Bastille can easily manipulate molecules by sending her energy into their nucleus. As the qi is activated her crimson hues glow with a royal blue ring of aura signifying her power channeling through her body. Her hands, due to lack on control, glow brightly purple however as time goes on-showing mastery of skill, the light dims and eventually vanishes. This qi can be channeled into objects she is holding however only when they are close enough to her body. In a way, the qi can form something like a shield around her body as well as a wind void allowing her to increase in speed. When toughing inanimate objects, she can sometimes crack or change them, however it is only small objects or fragile ones such as glass and paper. In later stages, her qi can manipulate molecules in the air to become like blades, or force the molecules to vibrate around her sword at such high speeds creating something of a cutting effect. Qi History And Facts:It originated as a simple ability to read molecule and muscle movements in others. Due to strenuous tests at the correctional facility her ability grew drastically transforming her almost not existent qi into this. At first it was chaotic and reacted violently to Bastille, however over time it began to work with her body and the qis abilities became more clear. Bastille is the first person to have this qi as well as the first in her family to move onto an advanced stage of “The lions eyes” there for naming it “The Lions Authority”. Of course many names came and went in the process but over all, the power of this qi belongs only to the knight.
