Secure the boarders

So they had managed to take a base in Baker territory and push their boarders in several places in the last week. In Mathew's mind that meant they needed to increase their presence at their boarders. Not only on the Barker front, but the Neutral fronts as well. Make sure people understood that they wouldn't be weakened despite the push.

And to make sure it was done right Mathew himself was leading a patrol around their boarders. Currently they were around one of the neutral zones that connected to their land. A hand full of other Dragons were with him. Spread out a bit, but within range of the signal for trouble. Which was a loud whistle.

His eyes scanned the area in front of him casually. Boredom creeping up on him, it was never fun work. Or exciting. But it had to be done, and it was important. It's why he decided to tag along. To make sure it was done to his satisfaction.

[Stella]

Stella, at this point, was still relatively clueless about the Dragons as well as their expansion of territory. While Mathew and his group were patrolling one of the neutral zones, Stella was busy scavenging for useful or interesting tools she could use. In the same said neutral zone. Her hands were on her hips and she was casually kicking aside bits of rubble trying to see what she could dig up outside. She hadn't really found a building that she'd deem safe to explore yet. Who knew what kind of weirdos were lurking about in those structures? Chances were most of them were already occupied.

The sound of footsteps caught Stella's attention as she attempted to kick over a fallen sheet of dry wall. Unlike the first couple encounters she had here, it wasn't one or two pairs of feet. It was many. Stella turned towards the direction of the sound. Was it trouble? Hopefully not.

Mathew's eyes spotted the girl and he motioned for the others to keep moving. He could handle a girl by himself. Or anyone they found really. He approached, his bare feet not even moving. The ground itself seemed to shift and move him.

"You do realize how close you are to walking in to protected territory don't you?"

About twenty feet away. But she wasn't in it yet, so he wouldn't attack. Yet.

[Stella]

This was the second time Stella had come to this general area, and it was the second time she'd bumped into a rather intimidating figure in the vicinity. Something was starting to tell the little red head that she might want to be a bit more careful when scavenging around these parts. Stella took a small step backwards. Maybe her eyes were tricking her but it looked like the ground was carrying this guy towards her. That alone was enough reason for her to at least step back a bit.

"Close? Um... I didn't know," she said, chuckling nervously and rubbing the back of her neck. "About how close am I?"

As far as Stella knew she was one step away from stepping into said 'protected territory'. And she had no idea in which direction that might be. That was reason enough for her not to want to move any further than that one step back she'd taken.

"Twenty feet."

He pointed in the direction that he came from. His eyes scanning the area around looking for other people. It was possible that she was alone. Or that she was bait meant to make them drop their guard.

"What are you doing here?"

[Stella]

Stella let out a sigh of relief. So she wasn't as close to crossing into 'protected territory' as she had thought. The little red head felt a tension in her shoulders leave as that little realization sank in. As for what she was doing?

"Scavenging," she said. "I was just looking for some discarded stuff I might be able to make use of. Or something that looks cool. Whichever."

"I see."

He said, he didn't see or feel anyone else with her.

"How long have you been around here?"

Specifically near Dragon territory.
