Blood is Thicker (Shugo)

"Are you sure it's a good idea to be going back there?" A voice on the other side of Valo's satellite phone spoke in a worried tone. It belonged to Katarina, his closest friend and only trusted contact in the government. Valo was an agent himself, but was currently working off grid. Events had led to him having Katarina fake his death so he could escape several pursuers who had nearly taken his life. After the apocalypse, it made it that much easier to stay undetected. It wasn't easy to track this Dragon any longer.

"It's not like I have much of a choice. We can't end things on our own, can we?[/i]" Valo shifted his phone to his other hand, leaning on his motorcycle calmly. He was just on the outskirts of the city.

"I guess not..." He heard a sigh on the other end, and he smiled weakly. "Don't worry so much. I can take care of myself.[/i]" He glanced over to the city. "Do me a favor?[/i]" He asked suddenly. "What is it?" She inquired, and Valo was quiet before responding. "I need you to look up and send me the address of a Shugo Yuy. It's important.[/i]" He could hear some typing, and a few moments later, he heard Katarina's voice again. "Alright, I'll send the coordinates to you."

Valo climbed onto his bike, getting ready to take off. "Thanks. I guess it's time for me to come back to life.[/i]" And with that, he hung up and pocketed his phone. He found the satellite phone to be an annoyance compared to the earpiece that he was used to talking into to communicate with her, but things were more difficult now. With his mind set on what needed to be done, he quickly sped off towards the city.

Being able to ride out in the open felt nice, it was a nice change of pace from having to hide for so long. But he was finally far enough away from the dangers that his past life faced, and he was ready to face whatever else awaited him in this new life. The sound of beeping interrupted his thoughts, and he glanced at his phone and realized that Katarina had sent him the address. It's not too far from here...

Within 15 minutes, he found himself in front of a large manor, and a giant gate to boot. Typical of you, Shugo... Valo dismounted his motorcycle and turned it off. He considered knocking on the gate, but he was afraid that Shugo wouldn't have been able to hear from way out here, and that if he knocked too hard he might knock the entire thing off. With a sigh, he grabbed the gate and jumped upwards, climbing it quickly, and in seconds, he was over it and on the other side. Dusting himself off, he walked towards the door of the manor and knocked loudly, wondering how his brother would react after so long.

Valo would be met as he stood up after jumping over the gate, he would be met by the right fist of his brother hopefully connecting with his cheek.

"Dumbass. You can't go jumping over the gate. Then Barker's dumbass soldiers will go trying to jump over the gate and then we'll have a dumbass party going on in here with you and the other soldiers."

It was typical for the two brothers to be consistently fighting with one another whenever they met. In fact, Shugo couldn't remember a time when him and Valo being together hadn't resulted in some sort of conflict or catastrophic event. But Shugo wasn't too worried about that, after all this was post-apocalyptic California. What was the worse that could happen?

None the less, Shugo would walk over to his brother and reach out a hand to help him up. In reaching out a hand Shugo would leave his torso wide open unintentionally. An opening that Valo's combat-ready eyes would more than likely be able to pick up on. If Valo wanted to strike back or be the bigger man and stop the circle of violence was up to him. But striking back would be more fun.

Valo hadn't even touched the ground before he felt something slam into his face. Falling to the ground, he brought his hand to his face and rubbed it, wincing a bit and looking up at whatever hit him.

"What the.. Shugo? How did you know I was coming?[/i]"

It was typical of him to punch him as a sign of greeting, he just wasn't expecting it this soon as he hadn't even seen Shugo standing there. He wasn't sure how many years it had been since he had seen his brother, or if he had even heard of Valo's supposed death.

Looking over at Shugo's extended hand, Valo would give a small smile in return and reach out for it. The moment he grabbed Shugo's hand and let Shugo help him up, however, Valo's other fist would be flying towards Shugo's stomach, planning on sending him flying back in return.

"I'm the only one around here who rides on a motor-"

Shugo would be launched upwards and back by the punch landing flat on his back before he could finish his sentence. The boy would be a little shocked, even though he had no reason to, after all, Shugo did start it. The boy would get back up to his feet rolling his sleeves back as he walked over to Valo.

"What was that for you half-pint?! You wanna go?!"

Whenever his brother was around, Shugo sometimes reverted back to the mentality he had when they were kids. Valo had been short when they were younger. Hell a lot of middle school kids were taller than him when Shugo and Valo were freshmen. So whenever the two got into fights they ended up with a lot of name calling and trash talking.

"Half-pint?! Oh, you did not just go there![/i]"

Despite being the renown Sky Dragon and being much older now, Valo still took a bit of offense to anyone who teased him for his height in the past. It often gave him the advantage in fights, but it didn't help that most girls were taller than him and made it hard to impress women.

"At least I'm not the one who looked like he dunked his hair in toilet cleaner![/i]"

Yeah, he went there. Valo popped his knuckles and stared down Shugo intently, wondering what kind of fiendish comeback his brother would decide to make. It had been ages since the two had a showdown like this, the last time he made Shugo mad was when he blew a hole in his garden using a Gundam that he had the Yuy Corporation make in secret, all done while dressed as a Power Ranger.

"Are you a moron?! You have blue hair too retard!"

Shugo would step up to Valo and look up the two inches that Valo was taller than him by and glare at him right in the eye. Shugo would pound his fist in front of Valo as an active sign of aggression.

"Sir. May I remind you that before you kiss your half-brother, that you have a girlfriend."

Jeeves would chime in while walking by and watering the flowers by the gate. He would go on muttering something about the two boys being some of the greatest martial artists on the planet, and yet acting like middle schoolers around each other.
