Buck would just smile brightly, not minding in the least being taken for the ride.
meanwhile---
Bastille put down the curtain and her telescope went quickly back into her back pouch. She looked at the doctor- who had duct tape firmly over her mouth. Bastille ripped it off and smiled.
"If he so much as crimps a hair on that beautiful boys hair I'm going to crash his helicopter." She threatened to herself. The Doctor sat there wincing and putting lotion on her cheeks.
"Honestly, you two make no sense. And Buckingham should in no way be enduring that kind of stress, his body muscles wont be able to cope even if another is holding him up."
"Bucks fine, he's smiling- well he was. Wish I knew what they were talking about, better not be about me"
"Of course its about you, your going to get married- as a bride EVERYTHING becomes about you."
"maybe we could just forget the whole thing. I really dont like being the center of attention."
"You liked it well enough as Kahleesi"
"That was me playing a part, this is me being me- and I hate everyone staring at me."

They arrived at the Peace Cafe. Probably one of the best maintained buildings in the Dragon territory, as well as the beating heart of their operation. It wasn't where they conducted business normally, but it was the best known safe harbor they had. As well as a place with power. Letting the stone melt away from Buck Mathew would pick him up and carry him inside, setting him down on a chair at an empty table.
"So the weight doesn't crush the chair."
He said with a small laugh. He motioned for the Dragonling who was working there today to come over. He gave him a small nod in greeting.
"Good morning, we will have a Leon special please. With tea."
The man nodded and left.

Buck sighed as he was picked up- trying his best not to flush with embarrassment.
"right. I'll have the same"

"So, when do you plan to talk to Asiv about getting this fixed up? In time for the wedding I assume."
He tried not to notice his embarrassment. Let the man have his pride.

"Asiv is the man with the cure?" He asked and then smiled. "Well now that I know there is one, yes, hopefully- as soon as possible. "

"Well, seems like it. Bastille seems to be doing better. She was bitching about the pain in her leg. Which means she can feel it. So I would say it's a step in the right direction, wouldn't you?"

"Yes, definitely." He nodded. "But unlike her, I am fully paralyzed regardless....I just hope it will work"

"You know, you might think this silly coming from me. A criminal who has questionable morals at best. But I've always been a big believer of positive thinking. I don't generally think about what will happen if things don't work, or if I fail. Because why would I fail?"
The message he was trying to get across was that he was worrying to much. Just have faith.

"Slightly arrogant, but I see your point" He smiled. "I've never given much thought to positivity, just realism really"

"Arrogant maybe. But in my experiences you make your own reality. Take Bastille. She was pretty sure that what she was living with was what she had to deal with. I said fuck that. Look what happened."
He was kind of proud of that. And he sat up a bit straighter. One month since he came back to California and he saved his best friend and his love. This not being a self centered prick all the time thing had it's perks.

"You really do love her don't you?" He asked, smiling lightly.

"I have cared about two women greatly in my life. For Olesya I would turn over a new leaf and try my hardest to be something that I don't even know if I am."
A nice and decent human being. "Though that is hardly a romanic interest now. But she had faith in me when no one else seemed to. I will remember and treasure that."
He said with a small smile before it faded to a look that was a bit more stern.
"For Bastille I would burn the world. If there was a cure on this planet, I would have found it no matter what the cost to myself or others."
Good thing it didn't seem to cost anything. A fact that still made him a bit uneasy. He didn't mind the idea of paying for it in some fashion. But having it be free was a concept he had trouble fully putting faith in.

"Yes, that's one way to describe it" and here, Buck just began to laugh at Mathew.

"What about you? You got a special lady in your life?"
The Dragonling would bring the tea out for Mathew and Buck. It was in a nice, if chipped kettle with two cups that actually matched. There was a dish with sugar cubes, a thing of honey, and milk.
Mathew would pour the tea, but drink it without adding anything. But Buck was welcome to add what he wished to his.

Buck did his traditional to the British style- milk AND sugar with no honey. He stirred it expertly and drank.
"I'm afraid not." He replied simply. "Yet, anyway"
