Up on the roof of the dojo he was living in, dressed in just his karate gi and red headband, white bandages wrapped around his hands, Kazuya would look up at the very loud declaration, a hammer in his hand. It wasn't very hard to notice someone kneeling on top of a roof.

It would be pretty easy to see him if the disembodied voice was close enough to see him there! As it was, it didn't seem to get closer.

...was that smoke?

I'll take yes for $400 Alex-- I mean Aryn.

Noticing the smoke, Kazuya jumps down from the rather sizable area of roof left for him to fix, and doesn't even bother grabbing his bag, mostly because the place still looks inhabitable, and his duffel bag with his stuff is safely locked away. He does however, leave the hammer behind, as why would he bring one with him, and heads in the direction of the smoke.

When he gets there, what does he see?

"Aryn, damnit, put it out!"

"Shut up, Di, I'm working on it!"

He would see a large...fire? But fire wasn't supposed to be black. Was it?

Perhaps the more comical sight was a blonde woman screaming in Aryn's ear. Or not so comical by the subject.

"All this started happening after he brought you back, Aryn! You know how much I hate them, why would you choose to accept his offer?! I can understand fucking him, especially because of the money you got for it, but they're going to destroy you if that sonnuva bitch doesn't, first!"

Kazuya just stops and stares. And stares. And stares some more.

Until he realizes that the large fire that ignited wasn't dying down anytime soon. If he could, he'd try to control the fire with his own mind, and attempt to decrease the size and intensity, before trying to absorb the flames into himself.

"I appreciate a good fire show as much as the next pyromaniac, but this is more of a fire hazard, Aryn."

"Di, shut up or I swear to God I'll burn you to a fucking cinder. I can't focus." Funny how Leon had apparently helped with that, with what he had done.

"No! Aryn, I'm serious! Douse it right now or..." Diana's voice faded in her ears, but Kazuya would probably be able to hear it.

Kazuya could do just that, but there was some resistance, both from the flames and...

Well, when he looked, he literally had Aryn on her knees, one hand splayed against the ground. She was watching as, inevitably, the flames moved, but not under her control. And she didn't relinquish it, fighting Kazuya all the way - though he may not have noticed it - as he directed the flames. She was panting, almost gasping, until the flames were gone. Finally, she twisted, completely ignoring Diana who was shaking her, both out of concern and anger.

Leaf green eyes snapped to Kazuya.

"Close your mouth before I grab your tongue and cut iff off, Kazuya."

And heard it he did, though right now, he was concentrating more on getting the flames under control, though he was met with resistance, both from the flames and the cause of the flame herself. Now as much as Kazuya wanted to stop trying to control the flames, seeing Aryn on her knees, one hand on the the ground, he knew if he just let Aryn be, the flame would never die down, and just eventually grow into a giant wildfire.

Getting it under control and finally absorbing the flames into himself, he was unfazed by Aryn's snappy comeback.

"Oh really? You can try."

Holding his hands up in mock exasperation as gun metal gray eyes stared down at her, even though he said nothing further, he knew Aryn really needed to learn to control her ability. Or she could just continue causing fires everywhere she went, whatever she liked. He was not a fire department.

Aryn was on the ground because, not only was she trying to get the miniature inferno back under her control, she was fitting against someone of greater strength than herself. It quickly taxed the 'muscles' she was learning to use by...well, using her Qi.

She glowered. "Stop looking at me like that."

The hairs on the back of her neck rose. God damnit, she was being watched again.

Lowering his hands back down, he'd simply regard Aryn with a cool but calm expression even as she glowered at him. Relinquishing his control on the miniature inferno, granting Aryn control back of her own fire, he'd form a mini fire comprised of the black flame in the palm of his hand, regarding it with interest. As much as he was sure Aryn would love for him to be her own personal firefighter (a personal copy of the calendar would come out soon), he'd look back at her, mildly concerned.

"Then I'll turn around. But you can't sit there and tell me you have fully learned to control your Qi. I'm many things Aryn, but stupid and non-perceptive are none of those."

"Obviously not, dipshit. But, there seems to be a certain problem, you see, because I can't learn to control it unless I bloody use it. capisci?"

Aryn swayed but focused her glare on the fire, forcing it - a huge battle all the way - to shrink the flames and then extinguish them. She was shaking when she was through, several long minutes later.

"Thanks Aryn, I never would've guessed."

He remarked sarcastically, if not in a bored manner. Now looking more at the black flame in his hand and less on Aryn, he'd let her work on trying to get her own flame under control, and several minutes later, she managed to succeed, with great effort, mind you. Balling his hand up into a loose fist, the black flame would be absorbed into him, as he stepped towards Aryn. He had no fear of her lashing out at him, and it was pretty obvious she couldn't hurt him with her Qi.

"Have you tried using it against someone that can't be hurt by it in a fight? It'd probably help you to control it if you're forced to focus on a target."

She'd just love to try and hit him, wouldn't she? >.>

WOULD SHE?!

Aryn just stared, shaking Diana off her shoulder with a motion, and apparently telling her to not screw things up by running her mouth, as it snapped shut.

"Sorry, but no. Hot fire-wielding people don't come in high supply." She stared at him, levelly but still ticked. She knew he could--he'd handled it well enough even resisting her own grasp for control.

"Well isn't that a shame. I wonder where you're going to find someone that can control and generate flames AND wouldn't be hurt by your flames."

Tilting his head slightly to one side, he'd have a look on his face that basically told her she could use him as a training partner of sorts. Granted, he wasn't going to just stand here and let her bombard him with flames, in a real fight, her opponent wasn't going to stand all nice and still for her to ignite.

"Are you up for it, Aryn? No better way to vent your frustration out, and you wouldn't even hurt anyone."

Well, he wouldn't be hurt, but he couldn't guarantee Diana's safety. Let's hope she hauls ass as far as she possibly could. No telling what could happen when two flame-users are in close proximity.

Aryn blew her bangs up and narrowed her eyes.

"Sure. Just let me make sure Diana gets the hell away."

With a huge sigh, she pushed up, swaying slightly. Without another word, she turned and almost literally started hauling Diana away, back home.
