Confusing first day

Hibiki never really went to school like the ones here. The ones he went to were pretty small with only a few handful of teachers. But this was big. There was more students, teachers, and room. Well, not so much as for room as everyone walked to their next class, locker, or to meet up with someone. With his backpack over his right shoulder and a piece of paper in his left hand, he looked at the numbers on the doors and on his paper. But just end up being confused on where to go. Looking around, everyone else was already in their classes. With a sigh, he just kept wondering around the halls.

As the students around him, got smaller and smaller, he just sigh as he didn't get how people could understand where they are going in a huge place. For him back where he went to school, it was just five rooms and that's it. But this was to much for him.

With no luck on where to go, he just sat on the floor in the middle of the hallway. There wasn't much people around so he thought it would be alright. Placing his backpack down, he fixed his starwhat so that he could get the lights out of the so he could read it better.

"Hmm.... Where am I?"

Alice is going to be late for class, and it's chemistry, of all things. It's a science of paper towers and glue; the delicate stacking of teensy granules, forming massive monolithic structures such as thumbtacks or chicken tenders. of course, the material covered in the high-school-level course she is taking is elementary in level, pun irrefutably intended.

Alice sets a pace much higher than other students in the hall, trying to make up some lost time. Suddenly, as a pebble parting a river might loom before the jib of a speeding schooner or skiff, a person sitting in the floor amongst the milling masses appears in her path!

Alice lets out a yell of surprise, and does the only thing she can do because it's too late to stop. She jumps! Her leap carries her over his head by barely an inch, and the disturbance in the air caused by her passage might threaten to blow the person's hat off!

Not upset in the least about the sudden startling obstacle, Alice laughs merrily. "You shouldn't sit there, it's dangerous!" She says though her laughter. "Come on, stand up, what's wrong?"

Lowering his head, the girl's bag missed his hat but only by an inch. Raising his head up he just laughed out of joy. It might been an odd thing for most people, but to him it was nothing really. Even he knew the bag was close to knocking off his straw hat. He always had to watch out for it at all times. Looking up, he just jumped up to his feet.

He couldn't help but have a large smile on his face. She was the first person to ask if there was something wrong and there was something wrong. Looking at the piece of paper in his hand, it said Chemistry as the first class he had. He didn't even know what chemistry was. His smiling face went to a conbfused looking face.

"Ummm.... Do you know where...... Chem...is..try.... is?"

He even had a hard time just saying that word. It wasn't like a word he used all the time. Hibiki only knew basic stuff to get by, but it was none the less, confusing.
