Reclaiming the Past (GM)

[Levi Kayamei]

Levi leaned against the left piano in his new home, a dueling piano bar, as he spoke with a tall man in a suit. The man was one of Levi's informants and the Silent Pillar looked more than interested in the message. He spoke softly as he stood upright, staring at the man.

"You're sure then? I'm honestly surprised you found anything.....good work."

Levi paused for amoment and glanced back to the man.

"You may go."

The man left out of the front entrance, shutting the door behind him and walking down the street. Levi pulled his gloves out of his pocket and strapped them on as he walked outside. His information group had found the location of his Graduate ring from years ago at Highschool 552. How it had ended up in California was beyond him, but he would not pass this opportunity up. Even if it was a trap, he would take this chance, his past was priceless to him, this ring in particular was a reminder of brighter days at 552, which was ironic. He quickly scaled a building and began to leap over rooftops as he made his way to his destination.

AAAADDDVVVEEEENNNNTTTUUUUUURRRREEEE TIIIIME

Your destination is a junkyard near Buena Park. It's massive, some scrap heaps visible from 5 blocks away while your on the rooftops. It's fenced in with a 30 ft. electric fence, ending and beginning at a trailer near the front, most likely the junkyard's owner. The scrap heaps an various junk lying around form almost a labyrinth-like set-up. There's a wooden sign out front, proclaiming this as:

"Sid's junkyard. Entrance upon asking, no trespassing."

An eyebrow rose as he surveyed the landscape, taking note of the sign and the fence. Going through this without confrontation was his intent and diplomacy was not lost on him, so the first order of business would be to talk to this Sid.

Let's just hope this goes smoothly....

The Silent Pillar approached the door the trailer, raising his hand and knocking, wondering what sort of person he would be dealing with.

[Orion]

There were some sounds of a man grunting, and a bit of thumping signifying movement. Thumps went to the door, and it opened, revealing a man a good 2 inches taller then the door, and twice as wide, hunched down a little bit so he could see out of it. He had gray hair and a gray beard, though those were the only hints of his age. He carried himself easily, and he had shockingly blue eyes as he stared down at Levi.

"Welcome to my place. I assume your here because you want something?"

His voice was deep, but kindly. His posture showed no threat, as much as you could make out.

Levi hid his surprise to the man's appearance as he short-bowed respectfully, a forced friendly smile that he had mastered on his face, contradicting his nature.

"Greetings, my name is Levi and I was wondering if I might be allowed to search for something I lost a long time ago that I believe might be here. I would be extremely grateful."

[Orion]

Sid rubbed his chin, looking at the man.

"Hmmm... perhaps I picked it up before. Things of value, such as like a signed shirt or maybe a signed bottle-head or expensive watches or such, a few class rings as well, end up coming through here. I wander around there every once in a while, and I may have grabbed it while strolling. Tell me, what is it your looking for?"

[Levi Kayamei]

Levi's eyes lit up slightly as he heard the mention of class rings. He nodded and placed his hands in his pockets as he spoke softly.

"Actually, I AM looking for my class ring, my graduate ring actually. IT was platinum with my name ebroidered on the inside of the band. It was a highschool 552 ring. Any chance you've come across it?"

[Orion]

Sid thought about it, then winced as realization came to him.

"Aaah. That one. If your name is Levi, then yes, I know of it. I have a slight issue, however. A bunch of thugs moved into my scrapyard recently. They generally keep away from me, however, during one of my strolls, they broke in and stole the key to my strongbox."

Sid paused, to allow this to sink in.

"As you may guess, that strongbox is where your ring is. And not even I can break that door. I would have left to get it, but I fear for my possessions if I do so."

[Levi Kayamei]

Levi nodded in acknowledgement as he had seen a complication coming. Things were never as easy as they first appeared. He turned to face the entrance to the scrap yard, skimming the area, looking for signs of life.

"I will retrieve your strongbox......it wouldn't be any fun if I didn't have to try for what I wanted."

Levi walked towards the entrance, expecting Sid to open it.

[Orion]

Sid nodded.

"Thank you. It is merely the key: if they had taken the strongbox, then I would've torn them apart. I will remain here to make sure they don't come while you are gone. Any valuables you want left here to be guarded may be done so."

Sid crossed the room in a smooth stride, opening the back door beyond.

"Their leader must be drawn out. If you take enough of his underlings down, he will come out. Do not underestimate him: his main point is his speed, but he is still strong physically and mentally."

Levi nodded again in acknowledgement, surprised at Sid's knowledge of his foe to be. Whether this was a method of testing individuals wishing to enter his scrap yard or if he was merely informed; For the time being, it didn't matter. He walked into the scrapyard, eyes peeled for the thugs Sid mentioned while he admired the sorted items within the mounds of "junk" in the scrap yard.

[Orion]

A sharp glinting piece of metal landed directly in front of Levi, right between his feet. If he looked in front of him, he would find 5 thugs loitering there, two sitting on various places on the scrap heap with various switch blades and sharp metals, three with prybars on the ground.

"Look here boys, we have a new playmate!"

And the bottom three advanced while the two on the mound came to a better throwing position.

OOC: Prybars: 20 in each stat
Knives: 23 in each stat

Levi eyeed them each, trying to evaluate their obvious weaknesses and determine their skill level. Most fighters show something that gives away the mystery that is "How good is this guy?" Levi knew individually, these were nothing more than common thugs, but together....he would need to be careful. His eyes shot to the thug in the middle, his senses trained on the others, particularly the two with the throwing knives.

Ending this quickly is the key....

He rushed to his target, a short leap into the air as he brought his heel down on top of the man's head. If this worked, he would snatch the man's prybar and throw as one would a javelin towards the rightmost knife user. He would then take a horse stance as he had two prybar user's on each of his sides, though somewhat in front of him.

The first man down! Levi's quick rush tactic worked on him!

Not so much the knife-thrower, who quickly rolled to dodge the incoming prybar. the remaining knife thrower throwing a pair of knives at Levi while the two prybars rushed so as to be on opposite sides of Levi, swinging their bars at Levi's head and stomach respectively.

Levi watched as the knife thrower threw his knives, turning quickly and stepping into the guard of the thug on his right, continuing to move forward as he took the man's balance with a palm strike to his sternum to nullify his swing. By doing this, he avoided all three attacks and put one in a most unfavorable position. Assuming the man did in fact lose his balance, Levi would place his left palm under the man's chin, tilting his head back, and walk him backwards to remove his ability to regain his balance, he would then deliver repeated hammer blows into the man's face until he fell, never stopping his forward movement.

One at a time works too...
