Reclaiming the Past (GM)

[Orion]

So the man was sent off balance. And cue the start of repeated hammer blows. Ok, so remaining man with prybar swings for the back of Levi's head. The knife throwers start readying bunches of knives to throw at once, as they can't throw right one because their friend is being pummeled, and they have crap aim. Because their thugs.

[Levi Kayamei]

Levi's senses detected the man coming up from behind and gave him the warning he needed to avoid the next attack.

"che..."

Levi leaned forward, turning his head to glean his target, as he lifted his left foot off the ground, bringing it up switftly as a single footed horse kick to the jaw. If this was not enough, he would hop into the air, twisting around as he did so, bringing his right leg around for a roundhouse to the side of the man's face.

[Orion]

Well, the two kicks would send his opponent flying! Two down! However, the one he was starting beating on was still conscious, and rolled away from the airborne man, as the two knife-wielders saw a chance...

Flurry of knives at the general direction of the airborne target! Spectators would count about 20-25 shiny pointy metal objects flying towards the Dragon of Light.

[Levi Kayamei]

He had been prepared to intecept a few, but he was not sure if he would be able to stop that many. He raised his light barrier around his body, flinching as each knife bounced off of it. As the last few collided with the barrier, it faltered, forcing Levi to contort his body to attempt to dodge them.

"Ah!"

Levi had been mostly successful, as only three had grazed him, drawing a small amount of blood from each cut, the cut on his right arm being slightly deeper, but not lethal.

Lucky.....that's it, they go...NOW!

Levi landed on his back, his new wounds stinging as he quickly kipped up to his feet and rushed the left knife thrower at full speed while avoiding the prybar user's range. As he came within striking range, he threw a quick left hook as a feint and, without indicating his true attack with his body, threw a high kick up into the man's jaw, comboing it with a hard reverse punch deep into the man's gut as he flew into the air.

[Orion]

And the man is left gasping for air! Meanwhile, his buddy right next to Levi has nearly point blank, and doesn't even bother to aim: he just throws everything he has at the man who has suddenly crushed his buddies. (hail of knives once more, with feeling!)

The prybar person had fled, perhaps to grab reinforcements?

Levi smiled as the man started to throw his knives at point blank. He wasn't surprised as he had never met an overly intelligent thug before.

"Fool..."

Throwing knives were a ranged weapon for a reason. Just as the man began to throw the knives he placed a field of light right in the man's face, stuffing the ones that mattered as he stepped around the man swiftly, palming his face and planting the back of his victim's head into the ground. Still able to feel the Prybar's user's presence, he grabbed 4 knives as quickly as he could and, being no stranger to knives, threw them with deadly accuracy, two at the back of the knees and two in the back.

Sadly for Levi, the thrown knives missed, as the thug had just turned the corner. Besides, if was stopped, it would defeat the purpose of bringing the guy with the key out, no?

Now there were no hostiles in sight. It would be a chance to breathe, perhaps create a fortified position?

[Levi Kayamei]

"che...he'll no doubt be back."

Levi wasn't worried about reinforcements if they were all like the last batch, though things were rarely so simple and easy. He took the time he had to scoop up the knives that were left and pocket them for later use, he then took a hiding position behind a junked car, watching the path the the thug escaped from and keeping his senses sharp to make sure he wasn't ambushed.

[Orion]

((Apologies. Had to figure out what to do next....))

"Over here! He was over here!"

Ah, and now the man with the prybar was heard. He would turn the corner first, beckoning for unseen others. Take him down now with your knives or wait, hide, and find a better moment to reveal yourself?

If one bothered to listen, there would be multiple footsteps, three, four pairs of feet? Maybe more.

[Levi Kayamei]

(OCC: No worries. I've been scarce due to finals anyway. ^_^)

Levi smiled as the man rounded the corner, but he would wait for the other footsteps to be matched with their owners. Levi would rather ambush four or five people than just one.

wait for it~

[Orion]

Four others rounded the corner, one bigger by a decent margin by the rest. The first three were armed with more lead pipes, and seemed to be wary. They also seemed in better shape then the previous thugs, and a bit more experienced. The bigger man had no weapon; he is, however, 8 ft. tall, and big. His hands were closed into fists the size of Levi's skull, but the spark of intelligence in most human's eyes were dim.

New lead pipes: 30 in all stats.

Levi's face lit up as they passed his position, he rounded the car so that now he was behind them. He threw two knives simultaneously, aimed at the neck, at two of the pipe wielding thugs, throwing a third at the last one immediately after releasing the first two. Assuming those hit their targets he would stand up straight, staring at the big thug. He would wait for the brute to dig his own grave.

"Just you and me now big guy....let's see what you've got."

Levi hoped those muscles weren't the only thing this man had to offer, but give a preliminary read on the giant, Levi was going to be disappointed.

Battle on the Big Bridge (Final Fantasy: Gilgamesh - Black Mages version)

Three down! The weaker one disappeared, perhaps to grab more reinforcements? Regardless, the big one, Ralph as he shall be named (damn good movie), cast his attention dully to his fallen comrades. Only barely noting the knives and profuse bleeding, he turned his attention to the small man in front of him.

Then, he reached out with both arms, grabbed two hollow pieces of metal shaped like cans the size of Levi, and threw them at the boy, the second one being thrown at Levi after seeing Levi's response to the first and new position.

Levi anticipated the first throw easily and ran towards his opponent as he juked to the side to avoid the first as he kept his eyes on the second one. Now easily within melee range, Levi quickly dashed to the left as the man made his second attack, ending up behind his giant foe.

now...what to do?....

Levi felt as if he had all the time in the world as the man took his time in assessing his predicament. Levi quickly capitalized on his advantageous position by throwing his hips around and sending a standing sweep kick to the thug's knees. He would follow this with the same leg by continuing the kick to bring it above his head and dropping it harshly on the man's stomach.

However, after losing sight of his opponent, Ralph would dash forward, thinking that his opponent was hiding. And by dash, I mean use the explosive strength in his legs to lunge forward with a powerful leap/start, and charge into the area where Levi was, his eyes looking for his opponent, not realizing his opponent was behind him, sadly enough.
