Fwwwwww...
The dirt underneath the girl's sandles slid into a clump as she came to a halt. She stood up and dusted some sand off her yellow skirt and tights. Yan - The girl, was currently practising her long jumping skills. She looked around the courtyard, her brown, untied hair swinging about with the movement of her head. The courtyard was empty, save for the few birds that were pecking at the grass a fair distance from her. It was classtime. No one except her and the birds, were outside.
She looked over at a flock of birds, just pecking at the grass. Why they were doing that, she'd never know. She sighed and sat down next to the mark she'd made in the dirt. It wasn't very far from the starting point, but she'd made a lot of progress from the first jump. Though, she thought she'd better stop jumping, as her white shirt was starting to get dirty.
"I really would've thought that one or two people would be skipping class right now."
Ya Mei's words weren't directed at anyone in particular. Heck, they couldn't have been, judging by the emptiness of the area. She was bored. REALLY bored. She was supposed to be looking around at this silly school, but she got sidetracked by a bird when she arrived, and since then, forgotten her purpose for being at PHS 259 that day.
Yan had set today for being her official 'Look around the school' day. She was going to start her freshman year like everyone else a few months back, but business had come up, and she had to go find her sister. But now, she was back, and her first day of classes was going to be tomorrow.
She had time to kill here before Wei Lian picked her up, but how? All the kids were in class, and she couldn't freaking talk to birds! Speaking of which, what would the people here be like? Nice people, crazy people, mean people, what? Of course, her idea of high school kids were very stereotyped, and there was no real in-between. The girl stood up, and took a walk around the grassy area.
"BORED!!"

(OoC: cha-ching, I get to rp with you first! ) It was a hazy day, and not really one unlike each other day here. Crim was standing against the side of one of the buildings, facing the inside of the courtyard. A small brown choker necklace, made of wooden beads, complemented his dark brown hair. Crim loved being outside, and the thought of wasting 7+ hours in an artificially lit classroom was unbearable. Having worked overnights in similar conditions, Crim avoided that if at all possible. It didn't do much for his grades to skip class almost every day, but he was here to play sports and test his mettle anyway. Heck, he thought, maybe I could even make a few friends. For a few minutes Crim had been watching a girl, who interested him a little bit. She was jumping, rather, practicing it as she returned to the same spot each time to jump again. She seemed rather determined, and she could jump farther than he could, so Crim kept watching. He was mentally gauging her distance when she stopped all of the sudden, sat down, and looked around, eyes never resting on where he stood. He realized he was rather far away and that he would like to talk to this person. He really didn't know that many people here, and she looked even newer than he was. Making his way over, Crim tried to think of what to say. He was never really good with people, mainly because he didn't understand them. He decided that a friendly gesture meant more than anything he could say, so he sat down next to her before speaking; "Hi there, my names Crim. You new here?"

The soft thud of neon green converse could be heard as she'd made her way out of the school, rubber heels scraping against the tiled floor of the school.
She was on a mission.
Well, not really.
She'd smile to herself.
She'd about had enough of that school.
Striving to be the best, to be at the top of your class. It meant nothing.
And now she was reaching forward, her right hand pushing the door back quickly and in one fluid and easy movement she'd pushed through the door and let it smack against the school building.
Strands of bleach blond hair were pulled back into a pony tail, that curled mess had been thrown back. When she'd awoken that morning, she hadn't felt any need to pamper herself.
Hell, just the sheer motion of slipping from the bed had almost been back breaking. Not to mention when the alarm clock had gone off, the annoying ring of the chimes on that damned Hello Kitty clock had been enough to set her off.
And now she was making her way. Away from the school, nurse slip in hand. Yes, she'd visited the nurse. Was she sick? No.
But the nurse hadn't minded sending her home early, and for no good reason. Well, after Calamity had slipped her 50 dollars.
Yes, being the ex-girlfriend of Hiroko Katashi had its advantages. Not really, and she'd almost scowl at the thought of bribery. But Hiroko hadn't been a god sent himself.
A chain dangled from those black capri pants, and she would reach into the front pocket to retrieve her cellphone, glancing at the time. Letting those blue eyes look upwards as she'd make her way through the court yard, eyes resting on that black car waiting for her.
The familiar shaded face of the driver was almost calming. She'd be home soon. Within the safety of those walls, hidden. And she liked that idea.
But a soft sound had caught her attention. The soft thud of feet against sand had made her turn her head, noticing a girl not too far away. She'd look away, not paying nay mind.
after all, that girl was skipping...and so was Calamity.
"BORED!!"
Her pace slowed, eyes blinking as she'd look to the side. She'd hesitate, for a moment. But soon let those shoes scuff against the ground as she'd direct her eyes back to the a waiting driver.
But she'd give one more glance over to the girl, and notice a boy making his way to her. And this is what would cause her to stop.
"Hi there, my names Crim. You new here?"
Remembering the day she'd met Winters. A small hallow feeling bundling up inside her.
She'd look forward, waving at her driver who had been patiently waiting and he'd continue to do so as she'd signaled him it would be a moment longer.
And as she'd make her way over. Blue eyes rolling over the two bodies she'd speak.
"Skipping class I see?"

She let off her guard as she stared at the bright blue sky above her. Fluffy clouds floated in the odd area, and one or two birds flying in a random direction. Nothing seemed unusual, and all was peaceful. BUT PEACEFUL WAS BORING IF YOU HAD NOTHING TO DO.
"Hi there, my names Crim. You new here?"
She tensed and spun around quickly. So there were people skipping out after all. It seemed that the day's official 'boredem time' was just leaving. After recovering from the little shock, she looked down at him and smiled shyly, nodding. Ahh...a boy.
"Uh huh, how about you?"
He seemed alright, and not like the dangerous people she'd been warned of. Big difference, the dangerous people carried knives and had a big scar along one visible limb. They also had bandages on their head, with a little blood leaking out. Or maybe she was just stereotyping again. Ah well.
"Skipping class I see?"
She turned once more, not so surprised this time, as she had become alert after the boy first spoke. She looked at the girl, who looked like she'd seen better days. But even still, she was very pretty.
"I start school here tomorrow."
She smiled politely. The people here weren't as bad as she thought they'd be. They seemed friendly, and, well, sociable.

Sitting down next to the young girl, she spun around wildly and had a very surprised look on her face, but seemed to relax a bit when she saw him. The smile she gave seemed pretty shy but still, Crim guessed he didn't really look that scary. Not scary like some of the other people looked like in this school. Thinking on that at another time, he heard soft footsteps coming closer, and the soft, accented voice say;
"Skipping class I see"
Laughing to himself, Crim thought for a second she might be and enforcer. Just my luck, he thought, as he stood to face her, tense a little. Gazing upon her face, he thought he had seen her around school before, and not beating up anyone he had seen. The girl behind him must have thought the same thing because she piped up with;
"I start school here tomorrow"
The newcomer was rather slight, and didn't really look like she was a threat. Easing up a bit, Crim said;
"I guess that doesn't count as skipping", Crim joked, "Myself on the other hand, I'm definitely supposed to be in class. You guys care at all? Maybe we can just hang to pass the time."

"I guess that doesn't count as skipping"
She nodded at that. She wasn't skipping, she had nothing to skip right now. She was only messing up the dirt by jumping. And that, hopefully, wasn't anything she'd get in trouble for. It was just dirt.
"Myself on the other hand, I'm definitely supposed to be in class. You guys care at all? Maybe we can just hang to pass the time."
So he was skipping class after all. Bad, but she had time to kill, and with people, time flew faster. Unless you hate the person, that is.
"I'm okay with that..."
She looked over the two again, they seemed a bit odd, but then again, everyone she met, she thought they were a little weird. Seeing as they didn't seem like they were going to attack, she relaxed a little and spoke up again.
"But why arn't you both in class? "

Attention drifting, Crim was thinking to himself, not really waiting to hear what they said. Easier that I thought, Crim said to himself. He new the younger one didn't have anything to do, as she was jumping in the middle of the school, but the older one definitely had places to be, as she signaled to the driver of a car out in the road. She seemed rather detached from the things going on around her. If I play my cards right, I get to hang out with to rather cute girls, Crim was thinking, and then what? Well, I'll cross that bridge when i come to it. Crim loved meeting new people and hearing their stories, but he was just so bad at it. If he wasn't careful, he would drop the ball on this one.
"I'm not really meant for school" Crim responded, "besides, why put up with all their crap and 'punishments' just to learn about something that I'll never use? Only fearful idiots would go to class at this school"
Crim said, plainly speaking his mind. It just dawned on him that these two might actually go to class, and realized that he had just said to much.
"Uh... unless of course you like learning...?" He said with a half smile. Crap, that was stupid.

Insert mind blank here.
She stared at him in disbelief, with a look that said 'Are you for real?'. There were really people who actually thought that? She always thought people were generally like that, but she didn't really think that she'd meet a person with thinking exactly like the characters in her manga.
"Uh... unless of course you like learning...?"
She blinked, still staring, but the shock starting to wear off. Hesitantly, she spoke in a small voice, suddenly feeling a little stupid.
"Uhm...I like learning? It depends what, though..."
She paused, trying to find the correct words to explain her temporary moment of shock. Well, it's not everyday that you meet a person that matches one of your stereotypical personalities for a high school student in a TV show or something.
"And..um..If you don't go to classes...you don't know what you're learning. And what if it's something...um, useful...or something..and the teachers wouldn't punish students unless they did something, right? Otherwise it'd be child abuse..."
She looked down at her feet nervously. Oh yes, great speech.

"I start school here tomorrow."
Calamity would nod, looking off to the side to eye the boy. Brushing a few strands of hair from her face before glancing off at the girl again. And now she was looking at the ground, letting her right leg lift, letting that rubber heel of that show scuff against the ground.
"Myself on the other hand, I'm definitely supposed to be in class. You guys care at all? Maybe we can just hang to pass the time."
Calamity's head drew up again, a few annoying strands of hair fell in her face and she'd brush them back as she'd eye the boy.
Was he serious?
She'd assume so.
And without a word she'd let her shoulders grow lax, and look off towards the school.
"I'm okay with that..."
Silent, as always.
"But why arn't you both in class? "
Turning her head towards the girl, canting it to the side as she'd let the slip of paper flick forwards in her fingers, flashing the nurse's note towards the female.
"I'm not really meant for school"
Calamity would smile, laughing for a moment.
"besides, why put up with all their crap and 'punishments' just to learn about something that I'll never use? Only fearful idiots would go to class at this school"
She shook her head, that smile still pressed against her lips before she'd glance off towards that black car, and the waiting driver.
"Uh... unless of course you like learning...?"
"Some do."
Calamity said this as she'd look towards the boy.
"And..um..If you don't go to classes...you don't know what you're learning. And what if it's something...um, useful...or something..and the teachers wouldn't punish students unless they did something, right? Otherwise it'd be child abuse..."

"You really are new here...aren't you?"
She turned to the girl with the nurse's note. She didn't...look sick though. Ah, the old 'pretending to be sick' act. Everyone went through that once or twice. Or, in her sister's case, at least once a week if she could put on a really good show.
Yan gave the girl a confused look, mixed with a little nervousness, the usual expression she had when asking questions to other people.
"What do you mean?"
Did she say something that was way off? No, nothing she said sounded like something absurd. At least, to her, it didn't. She couldn't really argue over the statement, as it was a fact. After all, she really was new at this school.
